Lets Spice It Up!

Hey everyone!

I think everyone agrees dat the Intergalactic Highway is the most active part of BWint... So I was thinking, why not Spice It Up in the not-so-active part. We have polls, but I was thinkin along the lines of another contest.

So as we all know we have the fanfic mystery contest, but since there is a lack of mystery fanfics, its been postponed. We have fanfic awards too, but as far as I know, its been discontinued at the moment. But why do we just have to have fanfic contests? Why not let the artists have a contest?

My idea is simplistic, so it can be expanded on by the creative minds here at BWint. To start off, this contest would make sense to happen maybe every 2 or 3 months. People who are members of the fanclubs would submit a colored picture of their character. Then a few selected judges would choose a few of the submissions and they would become the button on the 'Character Fanclubs' page.

So that's my idea to Spice It Up. What's yours?

That sounds cool,Tor. The only reason I haven't joined a fanclub yet,is because I have no idea what I would dontate that someone hasn't already. Plus,I'm still trying to get that scanner to work.

But don't let me slow you down. It's a great idea!

I thought it would be interesting to have someone take some pictures of your face in different expressions. Then you'd put them online,link to them,and the other forum members would judge which Beast Wars chracter you most resmble.

*winces* There um... was a fanart contest. Like the original fanfic awards, it was an annual event that started months before hand. However, like the fanfic awards, not enough people would vote and eventually the woman running it got (rightfully) fed up and put it on hold indefinitly until such time as we decided that we'd be willing to get up off our afts and put the effort in to participate.

If you find this generation of BWInt-ers are more willing to put the effort in to a new version of the Awards, then more power to ya!!!

I would personally like to have another fanfic contest, because I've only been in one. Is the mystery contest going on now?

there is a mystery contest going on, but Sapphire kept having to push the deadline back, because there wasn't enough mystery fics submitted. If your making one, you should get it ASAP. Good luck!

Oh yes please, do send me Mystery Fan Fics! It would make me so happy. That contest has been continuously postponed for aaaaaages now.

As Nurann said, we have had contests and awards and stuff in the past, but they dried up when the responses to them did. But I'm all for a community-arranged competition. I don't have the time to run it myself anymore, but if you guys wanna collaborate and make something happen, then do so. I'll happily upload the results.

I started a mystery/comedy fic aaaaages ago...but I lost hope when the deadline was the next week. I thought it had been done and that I had missed something....hm...

Perhaps I'll try my very best to get going at it again...although I've completely forgotten what the mystery was going to be

I'll be very busy, though, so no promises. I will try, though!

But I am definitely up for art competitions

what we could do is, I'll set up my own little competition, and you guys send the entries to me, and we put a link one bwint to my site, cause I got the time and resourses. tell me what you think.

Would this be an art or writing comptetition?
