Beast Wars Botanica

Artist Comments:

How I think she would look if she was in Beast Wars and not Beast Machines ( Xp ) - in robot mode, that is!

Before I'd even heard of Beast machines I thought, how cool would it be to have a plant transformer? No, really, I did! The only difference was, he/she/it was under Megatron's control :giggle:

I'll put up a full body sketch of her BW form...as soon as I get the bottom half of her done. Plants are tricky >.<

I think she looks quite purdy. Her "robot mode" in BM was just....bleuch

I might colour this...or cross-hatch...nah, I'll colour. But not now. You may see it later. I think I'll keep to her original colour scheme (her plant mode scheme), as they were pretty cool colours that wnt well together.

As far-fetched and farsical as it was in BM, I still like the idea of a plant transformer. And even though it was exaggerated in that show, the whole attached-to-the-soil and getting-her-energy-from-the-soil might work.....as Earth actually HAS soil.

What is she doing here, you ask? Not sure tbh. It's either a weapon I havn't thought of yet or she's reaching out to you. She just wants to be loved. Were it not for BM, she would have been soooo much cooler!vine things around her hand are part of her arm. You'll se once i put the whole body up, k? ;)

Wow...I really am in a write-a-lot mood today O_o

Just so you know, the things around her hand are vines that can grow at an amazing rate; like you see in BM....I think...

Here is the coloured version of her head!

BW Botanica: Head Coloured

Artist's Comments
Tadaaaaa! that took less time than I thought. I have the BEST set of coloured pencils with the greatest range of colours that just said, 'use us for Botanica! We're perfect'! and so cheap! *gasp* I need to buy more before they have none left!

LoLz. I'm in the middle of colouring the one I put up earlier. I don't know if it'll be done tonight. I need to re-sort my body clock. damn jet lag.

hope you like!

p.s. I'm almost done with the full body design....can anyone suggest a pose for her? coz just-standing-there is just boring...

Awesomeness on both, Jagna! Again, I love her design. Makes me wish I could've seen her in Beast Wars. XD

Aww... Botancia needs love. Thats ok Botanica. We love you :D

Really nice work the Jag. Its coming along really nicely. Its interesting cause when I look at her, I see a younger, innocent Botanica (as opposed to the more sagely persona she had in BM). I'd be interested in seeing you incorporate her into a fanfic somewhere along the line (says the man who is currently promising three fanfics and surrounded by endless unfinished projects :D ). Keep up the good work :D
It's ok sir. I'll be fine...

Just listen to your commander, bonebrain!

Yes dear...

Thanks OOP! It would have been cool to see her in BW, as I said

You're the second person to have said that and it's starting to scare me!

Anybody remember my REBORTH series IM "working on"? No? Me neither tbh. I think that's gone down the toilet for a while. But I was thinking of incorporating Botanica into it somehow, but it would have taken her a while to get in there.

And I'm just about to put up he coloured version! It was too late to scan it last night, so i went sleepy bies. Naughty me

EDIT:

here be the coloured verion!

Beast Wars Botanica Colour

Artist's Comments:
Tadaaaaa! Colourd, as promised!

I was gonna scan and put this up last night, but it was far too late to open the computer room, turn the computer on, scan it, tweak it, add the border andzzzzzzzzzz....

I think the colours work well, personally. Although it took me a while t figure out what colour to use for some bits, so as not to make the colours look too similatr to each other.

Perhaps I should have mentioned this in the other two:
Botanica (c) Hasbro and Beast Machines
New Design (c) Me
