G1 Ravage

Description from dA:

My very first Decepticon! Ravage was always one of my favorites out of the Decepticon cassettes so I decided to make him my first drawing for the bad guys. I think it came out pretty nice. ^_^

Mediums:
Pencil, ink, colored in Photoshop

Reference:
Transformers Ultimate Guide (hardbound copy)

Wow, he looks all shiny. Sweet!
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

Thank you, Blazemane! Well, he isn't as shine as my Bumblebee or Optimus. I didn't want to crazy with that on a dirty Decepticon.

Thanks, Rainshade! I hope he looks lean enough for you and not pudgy like Bumblebee. Kidding! ^_^

XD You're the third person to suggest that now. Maybe I should take the hint.

Yes! Can't wait to see it. But no rush, I know art takes time.

I've actually never seen G1 Ravage before, but I love this pic.

Random question to the general populous at large; for all of the Decepticon cassette transformers, did any of them transform into a player? (That's "player", not "playa" for anyone who is considering pouncing on that particular word play opportunity. :P )

Wonderful job, OOP. I do have one question though, is there a reason the pic is so small? It seems smaller than the other work you've done.

Thank you, Moosey! It's great to see ya! :D Where've you been?

Wasn't it just Soundwave and Blaster who transformed into players or "boom boxes?" But they weren't cassettes. I don't know. I don't have all the characters from G1 memorized. I'll leave that to someone else on here.

Well, I hate having huge drawings to post on dA or any other board, so I try to make them comfortably small. When you have to scroll up and down or side to side to see the whole drawing, it's annoying and I hate that. I like to see the entire picture fit in the window. But I sketched Ravage smaller than my other drawings. And I didn't see much sense making a big drawing when he was short and long. I thought it would be different if I made the whole drawing conform to his shape in a rectangle style than by squaring it off like many of my colored drawings.

Ah, makes sense. I also realized after I asked that that not everybody turns their screen resolution up as high as I do (if it's not maxed out, it's not high enough :D). So what may be a good size for other people will look tiny to me.

Heh, I've been dealing with my first semester at college. It was absolutely insane, but I loved every minute of it (my parents will probably tell you a different story... >.>) I ended up neglecting every forum I used to visit for the past few months (along with email and written correspondence...), but I'm getting back in the swing of things now that I'm on vacation. Plus my next semester won't be as full. *breathes sigh of relief* Which is good because I have several projects in my head I want to do.
