Ahoy-hoy!

Hi everyone! Just signed up to this forum and thought I'd introduce myself!

Well been a Beast Wars fan for about 10 or so years now. First came aware of it when I was about 7/8 and the program was on GMTV (UK channel 3) and I saw the first few episodes. Got the Magnaboss figures as a birthday present, I didn't really see much of the show for a while but then I saw the episode where Inferno comes into it, Spiders Game. Well from then on I was hooked! Inferno instantly became my favorite character! Just irritated me (not then but it does now) at how disjointed the broadcasting of episodes were.

I went along buying the toys and such, then after a week of Season 2 Beast Wars episodes, The Agenda 3 was on, and at the intro to the epsiode the (idiot) who was presenting the show said "And now, for the last ever episode of Beast Wars"...

So i watched and kept thinking "WOW! Then it gets to last few minutes and I'm looking at the clock thinking... "OK... They must be going to wrap this up quickly... Megatron's just entered the Ark and the Maximals are stuck outside". Of course I was expecting the Maximals to win (good guys always won right?). Then Megatron blasts Prime and the whole time storm starts happening and I'm like "There's only like a minute left... Must wrap up quickly!!!" Then Megs makes his speech and the "To Be Continued?" Shows and I was left with my jaw hanging!! I couldn't believe that Megatron had won! Evil had won!! Bearing in mind I had been lead to believe this was the last episode and at aged 8/9 the very concept of the bad guys winning was unheard of!

So that's what always made Beast Wars stand out to me: The bad guys won! So i went on watching taped episodes and getting the toys then something called "Beast Machines" came on Fox Kids. So I watched it and I was like "Oh... So... How did this happen?" as at the time I had no concept that a season 3 had existed! So being young and foolish, I convinced myself that the time storm had somehow transported them back to Cybertron. But then through flashbacks and stuff it became clear that I had missed something!!!

Anyway I grew up and lost interest through my early high school years, then I saw a couple of years ago that it was on TV again so I thought "Oh well, for old times sake" watched it again and realised this really wasn't jsut kids stuff! Well written, good continuity, interesting characters, the bad guys won sometimes, good guys were flawed... Excellent! So from then on I've hunted down as many episodes as I could and finally made sense of all the things that puzzled me as a child!

Of all the characters on the show I must admit, Predacons are my favorites. Inferno, Quickstrike, Tarantulas, Blackarachnia and Megatron being ultimate favorites.

Just realised exactly how much I've waffled on here so I'll shut up now!! Hope I've not bored you too much!

So this is my official welcoming of you again, hello! :D

As the insane protocol goes, I must warn you of BWINT containing nuts, flying (and normally frozen) waffles, and penguins which normally throw them, but I can't seem to find them. I believe Ravage gave them his cloacking technology.

Glad to know you like Beast Wars, (although on youtube, it's kind of obvious) and again, welcome!

LS Lowry? No sorry I'm afraid I've never heard of him!

The mr lowery name comes from a character from Hitchcock's Psycho which I chose when I signed up to the Hitchcock DVD forum. Since then I've used mr lowery for forums and such.

John Cleese rocks! I loved him in Rat Race, Fivel Goes West and Shrek. I know there are others I enjoyed but those three movies stand out in my empty head right now.

Thank you, Blazemane!
The Quickstrike video has swear words. But the vidoes are really cool.
 No problem. I'm twenty-three and have been screamed at by foul words by my lunatic father for almost my entire life so that won't really affect me hearing them in a song. Heh. Thanks for the courtesy of warning me, though.

Yeah, GMTV and CITV were total sods for that sort of thing. They did it with digimon, pokemon and cardcaptors too.

saying that though, CITV was brilliant when we were kids. (Just ntoiced that we're both the same age) back then though they made thier own shows (Funhouse, woof, sooty and the like) and had most of the good imports from america. it was before the whole digital boom, so most of them were in one place...

CITV's really gone downhill now. they dont fund thier own shows anymore, and the lineup is either pre-school or generic rubbish...its not even on weekdays on ITV anymore. =p kinda sad really for the kids of this era. we were lucky! :D

Hiya! :D I'm D-Chan, one of the newest members! I've watched most of your BW Appreciations on YouTube for quite some time now. My favourites would have to be the Optimus, Dinobot, Airazor (You used my favourite song!), Blackarachnia and Dinobot II appreciations. I'm trying to do my own, but Movie Maker keeps giving out. :x Man, it really ticks me. Anyways, forget my random mumblings. G'day from down under and Welcome to BWINT!!!!(Cyberhugs!!!)

P.S: I give out loads of Cyberhugs. I'm like that bug from wayward's Insecticomics ^_^;
