The Mechronomicon

Just to make sure this idea isn't taken...

Ok, in Beast Wars we have the token religious text in the form of the Book of Primus, sounding an awful lot like the Biblical book of the Revelation of St. John.

I decided I'm going to try to write a plotline (time permitting) where another book has surfaced at the heart of an evil cult..... the Mechronomicon!

It's a bit of a parody, combining the Call of Cthulu with Beast Wars.

Etched in acid in an ancient tongue on pages made from the armor of dead Transformers beaten flat, the Mechronomicon is the most evil tome in all of Transformer history.

Ideas so far, quotes and such from the Mechronomicon...

"Nor is it to be thought, that Transformers are either the oldest or the last of Cybertron's masters, or that the common bulk of life and substance walks alone. The Dark Ones were, the Dark Ones are, and the Dark Ones shall be. Transformers rule now where They ruled once; They shall soon rule where Transformers rule now. After summer is winter, and after winter summer. They wait patient and potent, for here shall They rule again."

Sweet. I'm using a vaguely kind of similar-ish concept in my fan fic, however not as archaic. Its pretty much a Dark Covenant which is not so mystical and more of a vague record of things to come.

Thats a real cool idea. Run with it. It will be alot of fun to develop a robotic Cthulu mythos. But promise me this. You need a scene where Rattrap stands before the Mechronomicon and says "Klatu Verata Nic #cough cough#"

DB: "You did speak the incantation correctly, did you not?"

RT: "Well, I kinda did."

DB: "You aren't sure, vermin?!"

RT: "Well, I got it close enough."

YES! I knew you had to have seen it. Now the question is how many others have religiously followed the Army of Darkness? :D

I look forward to seeing where you go with this concept. Best of luck with getting it sorted. :D

I really am going more for the Call of Cthulu atmosphere than an Army of Darkness atmosphere, but we'll see what I can throw in.

Yeah, yeah. Lovecraft all the way dude. You just need the one Bruce Campbell reference and I'll be sated.

Mmmm... dark broody tentacled things from the bowels of Cybertron... I like. :D

One caveat you should all be aware of...

I am an idea fountain. But I don't always finish things. My computer is full of half-, or not even half-finished RPG systems, adventures, character ideas, stories, fanfics, art, etc.....

So I'd really like to write this. But in case I can't, the idea is here, since in three month's time I still may not have written more than two pages on this one plot idea.

Lol I completely understand. But you have to force yourself at some point to get a chapter done. One. Single. Complete. Chapter. Its strange how the idea then flows from there and takes on a life of its own. It's how its working with my own fanfic. I literally had NO idea what Megs would be doing and now he is happily on his way to cause yet more mischef. #gleefully presses fingertips together# Ohhh.. Yesss...

All you need is a golden disc, a transwarp cruiser a rift in transwarp space and you can write your own future... wait where have I seen this before?
