Howdy ya'll,

I'm in need of help. I'm making tentative plans for getting to Botcon. So far I've decided to take a bus all the way from Minnesota, which will be great fun, heh.

Problem is I don't what what to do once I get there. Is there a spot open that I can squeeze into at a hotel room? And what must I do for getting into Botcon itself? I have absolutely NO idea where to start.

As I said, however, any plans are tentative because I have to figure out exactly what I need to do.... and then ask my parents for permission and/or cooperation to go. That might sound backwards, but from past experience I know I have to prove that I know what I'm doing before they'll take me seriously without saying "NO" right away.

Thanks to any and all who can help. I can't do this alone.

Guess I should break my silence on this, since it's just about crunch time... So two questions:

One; for other Canadians flying down, what airline are you using? Westjet doesn't go to that corner of the States, so if I have to switch airlines to get down there, so be it.

Two; What is this "Primus Package" you all keep talking about, and how does one go about getting it?

Nurann: I got your email. I can't reply to it right now because I need to sort out some things with Miss Special and Sinead. I'm trying to juggle who needs a room, who has plans, who's putting up who etc. and it's getting kinda confusing! lol I'll get back to you as soon as I know for sure what's going on.

I'm going to be sending out an email soon to all the people who I've heard down the grapevine are thinking of attending Botcon 07, so I can put together a mailing list. Everyone who's expressed interest here will also get that email, asking them whether or not they wanna be involved in the mailing list.

Uh, Sapph, I hate to change things now after sending you that email, but it looks like Plan B has up and taken off on it's own. >.> I started talking to my mother about flights and dates, and when I mentioned Sinead's group staying in Boston for the movie release (and the Fourth of July in general), she said "Oo, OOO - can I come too?"

So Sinead, mind if I tag along for the movie? It'll mean some backup with the driving, since we'll be renting a car to get from Boston to the 'con.

Aaand Starath, are you still looking for a roommate (or two )? We will happily pick you up from the bus stop! If you see this first, don't be suprised if I call you tomorrow evening *grins*

Count me in, Sapphire. I'll likely be getting a ride up from RI, if I do come.

OK, Nurann. If you're also willing to pitch in to help Starath, that'd be awesome for her.

Okay, in order: Starath, if you need a room, you can totally stay with me. No problem. No fee. No hassle. (Isn't that from a car commercial or something?!) But whatever, you know it's cool no matter what you're thinking of doing.

Nurann, you're more than welcome to stay, there's a $76/night hotel down the street from me, $79 for rooms with wireless internet. I've even got some plans up for what to do with people while waiting for the movie.

Both the Westin and Biltmore Providence Hotel rooms are sold out. However, botcon is currently working on finding a third hotel for guests.
