Feralnight flapped her wings and separated from the other Maximal fliers to try a different angle of attack. Flying around towards the left of of the incoming Predacons the fuzor paused,"Feralnight maximize!" She howled and transformed flapping her wings to keep airbourne. Aiming her shoulder cannon she waited for them to get near.

"Holding up so far Whitegrazer." Frill replied until they caught up with Cheetor and Dinobot listening to the conversation. Though the frilled lizard doubt there would be a clean battle with how the Predacons fought. Likely before the day ended there would be plenty of injuries later.

"Let's mingle,"
The leader spoke to the falcon in his usual confident tone. With a nod, Airazor began her transformation into robot mode without a word. Her falcon head pulled forwards to reveal her robot head. The wings pulled back to let the rest of her body unfold until all was in place again. Now fully transformed, she took a quick glance around the battlefield. The Predicon's seemed to have a lot of fliers. Just as many as the Maximals. One of them, the big red one locked eyes with her for a second before screaming and firing his weapons.
Airazors eyes widened as the first shot came at her. Instinctively, she moved to the side to avoid it and then ducked to dodge a second shot aimed at her head. Her aerial acrobatics were being pushed to their limits as she successfully evaded all of the shots. Doing a quick 360 in the air, she straightened back out and raised her right arm. A missile opened up from above her wrist and she fired it right back Inferno.
Before she had time to load up a second one, she was taken by surprise by Terrorsaur. The enemy flier came barreling into her like a freight train. His fist slammed into her chest, knocking the wind straight out of her. For just a second, she could have sworn to have completely blacked-out. Luckily, she regained consciousness quickly, although she felt the immediate effects of his high-speed punch. Her stomach screamed in pain and she had to double over in order to try and keep it at manageable levels.
As Terrorsaur flew away, Airazor loaded up her wrist-mounted machine guns and set off after him, firing a few warning shots in the process. Her speed was slightly slowed from the blow she had sustained earlier, but she was still able to keep up.

"Wazzzpinator lost to hawk-bot before, but with bug botzzz help we shall take her down!!"
Manterror grinned wide as his ally spoke. He loved this bot. When he took over the planet, he would be sure to spare Waspinator. He was the only bot here that could make the Mantis laugh without even trying. Perhaps it was the voice, so cruel sounding yet at the same time you knew that the guy had a better chance at getting struck by lightening then actually shooting his target. Every so often the guy got lucky but it was just that. Luck.
Scanning the horizon for his target, Manterror located the hawk. She was still in Beast Mode and didn't seem prepared at all for the surprise attack which the Predicons had set-up. Not moving from his position, the Mantis curled back his arm and began to spin the blade underneath it. Once he felt he had enough power, he let loose his attack. Springing his arm into action, the blade slid out from under his claw and set-off into the distance towards the unsuspecting maximal.

The shots were quick as they whizzed by Terrorsaur. His escape speed had been perfect after many trials and many errors. Airazor was no longer in close vicinity to Optimus Primal, and Inferno would be on a more leveled playing field with her after the pterodactyl's attack.
How do I approach him? Terrorsaur wondered, turning around and looking at Optimus.
Firing several optic lasers from a distance, Terrorsaur continued his attack run on the Maximal leader. He knew the shots would not land from so far away, but at least Primal would be drawn to the Predacon attacker. Shoulder cannons drawn, Terrorsaur brought up the missile lock reticule on his interface. If he could keep Optimus in the center of his crosshairs for a solid three seconds, then the Predacon would not have to worry about wasting ammo by dumb-firing his missiles.

Icebreaker listened to Saber, his eyes still looking ahead I see, Alright. You can tell us later I guess. He didn't bother to question her further, it was pointless. They had a battle ahead, it was the only thing he had to focus on for now and really, he didn't want to think of anything else.
______________
Glowstick blinked as he watched Terrorsaur move towards Airazor. What is he.. doing? Glowstick sighed. Even with Inferno, Terrorsaur was asking to be flanked and defeated by an opportunity attack.Glowstick's speakers then opened as his music player kicked in, simultaneously transmitting the music (Song-Leave all behind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_cFG7dR99g ) onto the Maximal radio frequencies. Glowstick floated closer to the battle field as one of his back tentacles drew the sword from his back and held it at his side, his feeder tentacle's photophores shifting their aim onto Optimus Primal, then letting off a quick twin focused laser blast Looks like it's my lucky day.. he muttered to himself, though obviously not heard as he was still a distance away, and his speakers were pumping music so loudly to the point that even miles away Sonar could hear the music which acted as sort of a beacon to tell him the location of the battle. He activated his radio on Predacon channels again Terrorsaur, your drawing way too much heat to yourself, pull back from Optimus and assist Inferno, I'll keep Optimus distracted, Once Airazor is down, take down Optimus.
In all his time of this campaign, Glowstick had never seen Optimus Primal once. He was always busy behind the scenes, repairing others, building devices, or on operations of vital importance to the Predacons. It was surreal in a sense, though strange as while Glowstick rose to the rank of a commanding officer, he still felt he was just a Medic or Engineer, he read up the rules of combat and studied battle strategy, but he was no true warrior, no matter how much he augmented his body, it was too ingrained for him not to take life as a medic, even if he made himself more combat worthy and was more assertive with giving commands to a group which, seemed largely rather unmotivated even compared to how he once was.
But in the case of Primal.. it made him wonder, if he could some how defeat a soldier class like Optimus, the Beast wars would be over, the Predacons would then be able to upset the control over Cybertron that the Maximals held with a iron fist. It wouldn't be easy, but it seemed worth it. If Primal was captured, reprogrammed, or executed, these wars would be over.. though new skirmishes would be on the horizon with not just the Maximals, but possibly the aliens that manipulate this planet, creatures which act like gods, something he hated just as much as the maximals.

Inferno cursed loudly when none of his projectiles hit his target, he moved at the last second, he growled in pain as one of the missile hit his right shoulder, knocking his arm out of its socket. After he put his weapon away he grabbed the upper part of his arm and quickly forced it up. He only hissed in pain as it was snapped back into place.
"No one escape the wrath of Inferno!!" He shouted going after Airazor and firing several shots at her.

Waspinator watched as Manterror fired his weapon, it seemed to be a throwing knife of some kind, he readied his own gun and fired as well at the bird, hopefully it would knock her out of the fight.
Wazzpinator rather not want to fight hawk-bot again. He thought surpressing a sudder at what happened last time.

"ICebreakder, I think Optimus is a half mile ahead of us and from the smell of it, he hasn't moved."
((OCC: I don't know if wild cats have a vomeronasal organ or Jacobson's organ on the roof of thier mouth, but I'm putting it in there.))

Feeling greatful for that she remained silent, she opened her jaws to taste the air and she narrowed her eyes slightly at what she scented, she closed her jaws before saying.I see, Alright. You can tell us later I guess.

The fake Optimus wasn't expecting Terrorsaur to attack the female falcon instead of him. Hm. Well, he couldn't fire at him with him being so close to her or he'd hit her as well. He could if he wanted to give himself away because he didn't care about either of them but he decided to stick to his original plan. Watching Feralnight swoop around them and transform, he glanced around at some of the other Predacons showing up before observing the peregrin's aerial maneuvers with the 'dactyl. And then she was hammered by Terrorsaur's collision. Ouch. That looked painful.
"Ground units, focus on retreiving the transwarp device," the Vok Primal ordered through his comm. link to those quicker on the ground who would be approaching shortly. "We'll try to keep the Predacon fliers distracted." Just when he was done speaking, he saw some lasers that were fired at him from a distance. From whom? Terrorsaur, he quickly spotted. Slightly shifting himself to the side in the air, the laser beams whizzed by "Clear Convoy," failing to make contact with him. In return, the imposter activated his shoulder-mounted missiles, locked on to the red flier and fired two of them at him. Then he immediately flew off more to the side to change his position in case Terrorsaur returned fire again.
Suddenly there was music playing on the fake Primal's communication freqency. This intrigued the alien. Who was doing that? And how? However, because it was obnoxious and loud, probably done to purposely distract him and the Maximals, he deactivated his comm. link completely to get rid of the racket. The distraction caused by Glowstick worked, though, and one of the squid's laser blasts grazed the clone's left arm, close enough to cause a minor explosion and sending him spinning backwards through the air. Stopping himself and hovering for a moment to examine the damage, he looked at Feralnight and motioned her to fall in behind him since their comm. links were jammed with some nutty heavy metal noise. Then he flew forward and dived aggressively, bursting toward Glowstick. Targeting him, he fired one missile as he flew downward head-on at him at a steep 60º angle. Whether or not Glowstick would get hit, or would return fire and hit the Vok instead, Feralnight was meant to be an element of surprise. If the fake Maximal commander got hit and was blown out of her way, she could then immediately fire at the squid and hopefully take him out. Or Glowstick could blow her out of the sky as well. Did he really care? Nope. How the clone wanted to cheat so badly and disappear on his target with his invisibility, but it would have to wait.

Tigatron pulled up beside Wintersong soon after Rhinox showed up to her and Orcariner. He could tell this trek was a little more work for the two larger Maximals, so he didn't mind accompanying them instead of running ahead. Besides, that's what the faster team was for.

"How are you guys holding back there?"
"I still think something is going on..."
"Still hangin' on," Rattrap answered Whitegrazer after Frilla. "But remind me to get ya a saddle next time," he grinned jokingly. Hearing what she added after that turned his buck-tooth smile upside down. He had the same feeling that something was wrong with this mission, but he was drawing it from experience. It definitely felt like the godly aliens were behind this, but all they could do was follow their leader's orders."Holding up so far Whitegrazer."

Feralnight was ready to fire on the Predacons and seeing them attack her teammates the fuzor charged her shoulder cannon and fires a few random shots towards the Predacon fliers. Though she caught sight of the fake Primal's motion and changed her course to fly behind him as a surprise attack yet was not aware of who he truly was either. 'Hope this works Primal.' She thought keeping a watch on the other Predacons if they decided to attack her while she went to help Vok Primal.

Missiles jettisoned from Primal's shoulders as soon as the cannons were brought up. Terrorsaur tried to air brake but the momentum was too much to reverse. Instead, he boosted himself upwards to avoid the projectiles' trajectory. Looking back, he was shocked to see that the missiles had actually followed him on his corrected path.
Impossible! How could he have achieved missile lock so quickly?!
Spiraling to the left, Terrorsaur once again dove back towards the ground but to no avail. The warheads were locked onto their target and despite having to slow down to accommodate for the Predacon's evasion, their straight line speed was far superior to his. The frantic escape was stressful enough, but Terrorsaur's mind could not help but scream the prior question over and over again. Not even the best flyers on Cybertron had the technology to achieve a lock as fast as Primal. Optimus himself had never pulled one off as such in their previous encounters. The fact that Terrorsaur brought up his targeting systems before the Maximal did was more discombobulating.
He must have found a way to upgrade his tech! thought Terrorsaur, swerving yet again to avoid his pursuers, I bet it was Rhinox who developed the software! He's always manages to...
An explosion nearby rocked the flyer out of his miserable thoughts. Apparently, the missiles were also designed to prematurely detonate upon proximity. Spiraling out of control, Terrorsaur quickly realized his mistake. Only one of the warheads had detonated but the other was still hot on his trail. The maneuver was ingenious actually. With the first missile sacrificing itself to derail the Predacon's flight pattern, the second would be given the opportunity to take down the free target. It was such an intelligent weapons design, and it was certainly nothing Terrorsaur had ever seen in the Beast Wars. As a matter of fact, the only technology encountered that was ever this advanced belonged to the...
"Oh..."
Terrorsaur smiled at the dawning realization as the second missile punched through his feeble attempt to use his arms as a shield. Body parts flying once again, the explosion sent the unconscious Predacon tumbling straight into the ground.

Still a ways to go, Orcariner checked his radar one more time. The others still had not approached Sector M18, but now the flyers had reached his scanner's range. Many red blips were scattered amongst the green ones, which only meant that there was a battle taking place at that very moment. The full Maximal team could not reach their destination in time, but at least the flyers were doing their best to secure a safe arrival for the ground team. Furthermore, he had picked up Icebreaker and Saber further east on his radar.
"Attention all road runners," radioed Orcariner to the faster Maximals ahead of him, "This is Marine One. Sky Team is being engaged by enemy flyers at M18. Zone's hot so keep your sensors up and running when you approach it."
Another cluster of red blips even further east was converging on their trajectory towards the target area.
"We also have enemy reinforcements coming in. A lot of them, too. Prepare to go weapons free as soon as you guys are in range. Grab a battle buddy and may Primus be with you all. Marine One out."
Looking over to Wintersong, Orcariner knew she did not need to listen to her radio to hear everything he had just said. With the two of them running alongside on another, it probably went without saying that they were now battle buddies. It was his responsibility to make sure she walked out of this fight alive and vice versa.
"Hey," he called over to the white tigress, "Why don't you go ahead and hop on my back since we're going at the same speed? Once we reach the battlefield, you can give me some cover fire while I transform. It takes a little longer for my body to shift around, being big and all. Normally that's not an issue, but I don't want to risk anything with a fight this huge."
He knew Megatron was sending his full force to intercept the Maximals. Orcariner's scanners were correct in accurately quantifying the enemy and such a feat was a display of his radar's prowess. Unfortunately, to display a reading over such a great distance would mean that some data would be absent from his interface, providing him only the signatures in the forms of faction colors. Had the orca taken the time to zoom in and analyze the data he had just announced, he would have realized several anomalies. For one, there was a faint white blip in the midst of the red and green vortex that consisted of the battling flyers. This particular white blip was not an unknown signature, for Orcariner had registered its identity long ago from a previous mission. Secondly, one of the ground blips in the array of green was not moving.

Icebreaker looked towards Saber Hasn't moved? That doesn't sound good.. he then looked up towards the sky as he noticed the explosions way above, as well as Terrorsaur's crashing body. He then looked towards Saber Looks like the flier's have this covered, we should try to be careful and find Optimus. Icebreaker, Maximize! he shouted transforming, his visor sliding down as he surveyed the ground I'm detecting a big heat signature that way. Lets go.Beast mode! he then said to her pointing towards the woods, then transformed to his beast mode starting to head to the woods.
(And no, They aren't instantly going to notice Primal in the sky, considering how small they are and how high and fast they're flying a quick glance to register wouldn't be enough.)

Glowstick's optics narrowed slightly as the random shots went by, he assumed either Feralnight was trying to scare the Predacons, or she had trouble seeing him, which he wouldn't be surprised, the majority of his body looked like glass compared to the others. His optics caught notice of the missile, as well as Optimus speeding towards him. If it was a fight of speed, Glowstick would lose to any of them, but he had an advantage none of them had, mobility. His siphon released a jet of air to the side as he cut out his anti gravity, causing him to fall and shift to the right in a side strife from Optimus's predicted path, his right tentacle then curled, the photophore on it seeming to open looking almost like a grotesque eyeball as it focused in on the missile, then fired a medium sized blast engulfing the missile causing it to explode prematurely by igniting the fuel propellent.
As Glowstick fell, he glanced watching Optimus pass him at high speed feeling the air rush from his airstream passing by, to him being in the air or underwater almost felt the same. He pointed his left feeder tentacle out Lets see how you deal with this.. WIDE SHOT! his left arm's photophore opened widely as a sudden flash of light came from it, like a burning blue spotlight the beam swung continuously along Optimus's back and side, but being the laser was less focused didn't do much for damage physically (Firepower:2) other then overheating and burning some hair. However the light emitted was purely blinding, far more intense then even the sun. For the instant all Optimus would see is blue and white.

Wintersong listened to what Orcarnier said, not needing her com-link considering how close she was to the orca to hear. The entire Predacon team? Well it wasn't that surprising since all the Maximals were going too which would definitely make this one of the biggest battles in the Beast Wars. Turning her head as Orcanier called over she nodded, "Alright I'll keep you covered when we get there. Wintersong Maximize!" With a low growl the tigeress transformed and leapt up pulling herself onto Orcanier's back, careful of the gravity lifts and reverted to beast mode for now, waiting until they got closer.
But it seemed the battle that was taking place already had one Predacon down for the count. Wintersong just hoped that the Maximal fliers could hold out for a bit longer.

Valkyrie's sharp eyes noticed the Predacons approaching well before they fired their first shots.
She quickly swirled from side to side, to avoid the laser blasts that where aimed at her, while she annalized the information she gathered the moment her teammates disperced and eatch drew their opponents towards them.
She quickly gained altitude and noticed Waspinator and the newer Predacon picked her.
Waspinator was probibly looking for revenge.
The other Predacon was unknown to her, so keeping her distance and onserving the other flying bug would be the best course of action for now.
Using ranged tactics would prove useful in this ca.
Waspinator's attacks where frantic, and she wondered if he was aiming for the clouds instead of her.
She dodged the few shots that where perhaps a bit on target, while keeping tabs on the other Predacon.
He pulled his arm back, prepairing some soort of an attack.
She made sure to process this new information in her vast database.
Then the attack came.
Valkyrie saw a spinning projectile, probebly a blade, being fired from the Predacon.
A very dangerous attack when performed at mid- or shortranged combat.
The large Maximal bird caught a higher lane of air current and had it move her out of the projectile its path.
Before the blade had reatched her formel location, she transformed to robot mode and fired 5 missiles from the tips of her wings at the Predacon duo far below her.
She knew she fired them from to far away for the Predacons to be hit by them. This attack was ment to see how the younger Predacon moved.

Saber's ears twiched when she heard the explosions, she looked up and could see that part of the battle as has already taken place.Hasn't moved? That doesn't sound good..
She waited patiently for Icebreakder to find any thing.Looks like the flier's have this covered, we should try to be careful and find Optimus. Icebreaker, Maximize!
Saber nodded then followed him into the woods, the moment they entered the woods, Saber opened her jaws again and scented the air, Optimus' scent was getting stronger. She closed her jaws and continued headed straight, it didn't take them long to find the down Maximal leader, he looked pretty beat up but other wise he looked ok.I'm detecting a big heat signature that way. Lets go.Beast mode!

Waspinator groaned when none of his target, his antenna’s straighten slightly when he came up with a plan. He COMed the Mantis, making sure that only the other bug heard it.
"Can Mantis-bit keep Hawk-bot buzzzy, while Wazzpinator flank Hawk-bot?" He asked over his COM link system.
"The enemy of my enemy is my bro."

When Vok Primal had made his attempt to attack Glowstick and missed the fuzor flew forward and began to fire on the squid. At least the Predacon seemed to not have realized the plan before hand and hoped this put the squid down for a while.

"See?" Cheetor said in a mockingly reassuring tone. "What'd I tell ya'?"Ocariner wrote:Attention all road runners. This is Marine One. Sky Team is being engaged by enemy flyers at M18. Zone's hot so keep your sensors up and running when you approach it...
We also have enemy reinforcements coming in. A lot of them, too. Prepare to go weapons free as soon as you guys are in range. Grab a battle buddy and may Primus be with you all. Marine One out.
Dinobot only continued to stare ahead as the group of Maximals ran.
"So, uh... you gonna' need a battle buddy?" the Maximal asked, turning his head. All of a sudden, things got a lot brighter. Cheetor turned back ahead and realized they were out of the woods and at the battleground.
"It certainly won't be you," Dinobot finished the conversation and put on an extra burst of speed. "Dinobot, Maximize!" he shouted. Even as he transformed, he continued running. Cheetor hung back and turned to the other three.
"Well, I guess there were five of us. The math wouldn't exactly have... y'know... anyways." Cheetor looked at the battlefield and shouted his own activation code. "Cheetor, Maximize!"
Like Dinobot, Cheetor quickly forgot the concept of partnering up with somebody as the excitement of battle came over him. Unlike Dinobot, Cheetor's charge was a reckless one, and he began firing quasar indiscriminately at any and all of the Predacons he could find.
Dinobot noticed Optimus had just been blinded, so he came to his aid. It would not do for the leader to be taken out of the battle.
Dinobot stared at Glowstick for a second to get his aim right and then fired, hoping the combined assaults of two Maximals would take him down.

Steelclaw had been running alone as fast as his beast mode would allow. As he neared where he estimated the site would be, he took notice of Megatron and his group coming coming from another direction. Strapped to Scorponok's back was, as he'd hoped, the laser mini-gun. He couldn't wait to use it...
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

"There you are!" yelled Scorponok with a pretentious tone.
Stretching a claw back, he grabbed the large weapon off his back and handed it towards the bear. The sounds of missiles and lasers boomed in the distance across the sky. The lieutenant had no doubt that their flyers were engaged with the Maximals. With an event this big, it was a good idea for Steelclaw to request his most powerful weapon.
