But I also like being able to compare identities of Bwinters with their specific characters. And seeing one's own forum name being the author of specific character posts also adds an enhanced sense of ownership.
This has worked well personally on both large scales and small scale accounts and forums from both my, and other outsider views as well.
A person would never RP outside said character's account. The account would never be used except for in that RP forum. Any other post (say the person doing Optimus makes a post, that same person would never post THEIR personal RP section in Optimus. It would be their personal account.)
This keeps the posting
clean, well manageable and helps to differentiate to those reading the rp's that might not be on the forum .
As mods/admins you already would have access to the accounts anyways. People would not be allowed to mis-use the account or fear losing it.
Point blank, no second chances.
My biggest concern right now, and I feel it justified, is that the only spots that those in power will go to for 'information on how it works' will do so in a judgmental light in order to disorganize this.
Again, I feel with regards to the accounts, only the person playing said character would have access to that account. Any mis-use would result in them losing privileges to it. I would not recommend banning said account, but ban
them from it, revoke/change the password.
Again, I've seen it work wonders on other sites, and feel it's a great way to keep things neat and clean when it is rp'd properly.
I honestly don't see the larger issue being had here.
