(( OOC: I'm just going to squeeze in a post with OP. It was a little late for Phoenix and I when we realized we should have done a joint post for this, but since some players are still quiet, here's just a little more for you to react to or read. ))
Zodiac appeared on edge, perhaps maybe even a little nervous. Was it because of the beam he caused, now learning that it would alert the Vok and inform them to return? If he knew the location of this alien weapon and how to use it, was he involved with them in some way? He couldn't fathom how... But if he was, was he afraid of them? Or was it because of the numbers gathering around him and outnumbering him? That never seemed to bother him before, but then again, he always had a purpose of gathering everyone; to kill them in one shot.
Not this time, the voice told Optimus.
Not this time, Primal repeated with emphasis and anger, agreeing and growing more confident in this confrontation with the shape shifter. He caught himself glaring at the fake Ironclaw standing before him while Zodiac seemed distracted probably with Whitegrazer communicating with him and quickly adjusted his expression back to a softer one before - he hoped - him noticing. He calmly and casually kept his hand beside his gun attached to his hip, ready to grab it in a flash.
His back is to us! Do it now! NOW, you fool! the voice screamed at him.
NO! Not yet! Optimus objected. If his nanotech resembles Ironclaw's thick armor, the needle won't penetrate it! We need him to be in another form.
So instead you're going to waste the opportunity and let him know that you know he isn't your upstanding Maximal colleague Ironclaw? Wasteful!
The Predacons will be here any minute. We're out in the open, we're sitting targets. I'm done playing this game, Primal finalized.
"We have time," Optimus continued speaking neutrally to the fake badger as he stealthily grabbed his gun from his hip while Zodiac's back was to him. "It typically takes the Vok days or weeks to send a response." He lifted his weapon and targeted the back of his knee. "As it stands, the only threat we're currently facing... is you," he said adding a dramatic pause and immediately fired three times at his leg in hopes of him losing the disguise and shifting to a thinner skin of armor; theorizing, of course, that this shape-shifter mimicking one's appearance also mimicked their physical strength and density of their armor plating. Now, present company to be ready for anything, or take cover. Primal wasn't going to lose this opportunity. He was going to take him down once and for all!
Rattrap started growing nervous. He was sure the Preds would have arrived by now, but it was still quiet as he looked about their snowy and windy surroundings. He glanced at Whitegrazer for any indication of their presence but she appeared to be invisibly involved with Zodiac. With Optimus firing at the fake Ironclaw, uncertain as to what his plan was, he made sure he was ready to toss in one of his electrocution charges. He also hoped to hear confirmation from Landslide finding the real Ironclaw and making sure the machine was actually off despite the beam which was too late to cut off. Whatever was already sent into outer space would reach the aliens no matter what. There was no stopping that. Slaggin' Zodiac! he cursed him.

"Yes, it is," Optimus agreed, watching him closely. "Of course, I can't know for sure that Zodiac is dead unless I see some evidence." He couldn't quite tell if Zodiac thought Optimus knew he wasn't Ironclaw, so he continued playing along. He definitely wanted to keep him away from Whitegrazer, and away from the Axalon. He didn't know how much damage the ship had taken from the quakes, not to mention the repairs it still needed from the earlier attacks, so he didn't want the pretender any where near it to cause more."That is unfortunate,"
"No," he began thoughtfully. "That would be counter-productive," Primal disagreed as he watched "Ironclaw" turn and start walking by him and Blackarachnia."We should probably return to the Axalon so we can discuss our response to this Vok threat with the others there."
