I'm dropping in a note here that I wouldn't be able to make it to the BWInt Gathering (if I'm lucky, I can only afford one trip during the year). I'll be making sure I'll be at BotCon, though.

For those that are going, is anyone else flying in on the Friday (the 22)?

I wish I could go but my financial situation is like so far down the toilet it isn't funny.

Sorry, I mean that I bought my plane tickets this week and I'll be flying out on the Friday. I just wanted to know if anyone else would be there that day too - it's my first time traveling without my family, the thought of spending Friday evening in Ottawa alone is making me slightly nervous!

I am, Nurann. I will arrive in Ottawa at 11:05pm. Varyn's going to fetch me from the airport.

Lol drat, I get in at 4:00 pm... Guess I'll just meet you at the hostel later, then!

Btw, I believe I asked this previously, but my poor memory bids me ask again; should I bother picking up information on tourist-y stuff or are we winging it?

We're winging it, to my knowledge. Varyn is a local so she could give you all the tourist info you need, I should think. :)

I thought I should add that Maria Sunderland is also attending, and there's a strong chance that Texas Temptress is coming, too!

Nurann, if you don't want to stay in the hostel alone on the Friday, you could probably stay at my place, Sapph is that night after I get her from the airport, and my parents probably wouldn't mind me having one more over if it's just for one night. I certainly wouldn't mind-- I love having company-- Drop me an email anytime if you need anything, I can give you my cell phone # as well in case you need help when you arrive, my email addy is jen.field@sympatico.ca --don't be too nervous! Ottawa is harmless ^_^

As for places and stuff to see-- Yeah, I say wing it. I know this city like the back of my hand so we won't get lost or anything.

Hey hey guys,

well its official, I'm going to have to extend my trip to Canada. So the general idea is that I'll land in the US on the 8th Nov and roam about hunting down Hasbro and threatening them to sing very loudly in their offices until they give me a job. Then continue the roam to visit a few relatives and then off to Canada. I intend to hire a car for the roaming in the US and will toss up what is better to fly or drive to Canada. If I am driving, I could potentially pick up fellow beasties along the way. Anyone have any plans or ideas? Or does anyone want in on this zany scheme? :D

 Blast my Silverbolt frey leaping tendencies. I should read everything beforehand. Now am I correct in the interpretation that the convention is not happening in the next two months? If so then is anyone either from Canada or the US or Japan interested in meeting up and showing off their respective country? :D

I'd show you around if I lvied in any of those countries. You'd have to visit the UK (London, specifically) if you wanted a tourguide here. I love meeting new friends, but alas I am only in Canada and the USA for the end of September/early October.
