Silverstreak was glad when at last they reached the Axalon, slowing her pace enough to step on the lift after Wintersong and waited patiently for Ironclaw to join them before the lift took them up into the ship. Though she had noticed a cybertronian with the same beast form as the tigress and wondering if maybe it was a coincidence of if they two were maybe related in some way, perhaps even twins? Inwardly the young femme could only shrug and knew she would find out in time though there was no telling when that would happen since when they arrived at the bridge it was pretty empty except for another femme who seemed far smaller then even her almost.

Disappointed slightly that there were so few maximals she stepped off the lift and knew she'd just have to be patient and smiled slightly as Wintersong told her where they were,"Well I'm glad to be back on the ship, been months since I last saw it. Well when we left Cybertron."She said as she now seemed to become eager rather quickly and transformed without worry about the command.

===============

Megatron quietly observed the Maximals as Optimus Primal and soon Cheetor were joining into this situation, something he was quite looking forward to if he was correct about the alien structure. If his hunch was right then the Maximals would be meeting quite a defeat soon enough but for now the tyrant was biding his time and watching as the rat gave a futile attempt in cutting into the structure and he chuckled loud enough to be heard before revealing himself, "Optimus you really think a little laser will get through that? The Vok create energon itself, you'll need something far more stronger to get inside and save your underlings."He said, his tone a mocking one since he was well aware that the structure couldn't be easily penetrated, especially not with a worthless tool such as a laser gun.

Following Megatron Onyx stepped out of hiding as well, glancing towards the structure that was making him incredibly uneasy for some reason since it was his first real encounter with anything from these alien beings. Or the Vok as Megatron called them. Though what were they suppose to do in order to get through a structure such as that if even a laser cutter couldn't? Maybe Cheetor's idea would work but if id didn't there seemed little option besides maybe a bomb of some sort. "Doesn't seem that structure will be broken down too easily."He commented quietly, flicking his tail slightly to show his uneasiness but got a dirty look from Megatron for the remark. "I mean not from the way it looks."He added quickly only receiving a growl to be quiet which this time he obeyed.

(( Okay I have no idea how we get this mushroom open since we don't have scorponok's toxic spike.))

(Uh.. Huh.. good point.. Biological weapons wise you'd need either Scorponok.. Waspinator, Cecaelia, or Umbra.. Lets.. just say Scorponok happened to follow Megatron and magically shows up for the sake of plot?)

Umbra smiled and nodded as Dinobot made his way Pleasure doing business with you Dinobot, I look forward to future encounters, no matter the terms. he then waved and transformed to his beast mode, his eyes looking towards Steelclaw Well, I suppose we should head out to towards your base unless you have anything else in order.

(ooc: Good point, Wildfire!)

Nemesis remained hovering above as Optimus Primal made his arrival at their little party, upholding their shaky truce.. for now. It was hardly unexpected that the Maximal commander would show up like this and the avian Predacon showed no physical signs of being bothered by his presence, but on the inside she felt some turmoil stir. Memories of her recent adventure with the Maximals were all too clear in her mind still, and her conversation with Optimus among them. It bothered her a bit that the ape knew so much about her and her past, yet she was not about to reveal this fact to any of the others.

She watched Primal's interaction with Rattrap followed by a failed attempt at getting the alien complex to open.
Just then Megatron and Onyx burst through the bushes and joined in.
Megatron wrote: "Optimus you really think a little laser will get through that? The Vok create energon itself, you'll need something far more stronger to get inside and save your underlings."
Realizing Megatron had little concern for the Maximals trapped inside but rather wanted to unlock the secrets of these aliens for himself, the avian female landed on the ground in close proximity to the rest of them.

"Perhaps not stronger as much as something different," she suggested.

"We know the aliens hate our Cybertronian forms yet their contraptions pay us no heed when we're in beast modes. Perhaps the same logic can be applied to this situation and we can attempt to break in with an organic weapon?"

Elsewhere, quite a distance away, Aurora had rested enough and picked up her pace once more. She was still not sure where she was going, but somewhere as far away from the events leading up to this day that she could sounded nice..

Had his pod been any closer, the mantis wouldn't have taken hours of flight to finally arrive at Megatron's destination. When he did, most of the predicons had already arrived including Megatron himself. Luckily, no battle had taken place as far as he could tell. They appeared to just be... talking. What a silly thing for enemies to do! He thought before activating his transformation sequence and landing on the ground in front of Megatron and the others. "MANTERRORIZE!!" He screamed.
"We know the aliens hate our Cybertronian forms yet their contraptions pay us no heed when we're in beast modes. Perhaps the same logic can be applied to this situation and we can attempt to break in with an organic weapon?"
"Bah! I'll break through this demonic growth!" The Mantis powered up his two drills, confident that he would bust through its green walls in seconds. Raising his arms in the air, he ran forward like a gnat to a light. He let his razor blades smash into it at full force and speed. "AAHAHAHHAA!!!" Sparks flew in all directions as the mantis intently drilled on the immovable object. Before long, he took a step back to see his progress and that was when he realized that his saw blades did nothing. They didn't even put a scratch into its surface. His jaw dropped.

Airazor cried as the lightening went through her for a second time, but unlike before, her systems didn't shut down. Instead, she felt the current rush through her like a tidal wave. Her mind clouded and she could barely move but her initial reaction likely saved her life. "Beast... Mode!" She said, struggling to form a sentence. Her computer immediately recognized the command and she reverted back to her falcon disguise. The lightening dropped her and she fell to the floor. Without a second thought, she called out to her friend. "Whitegrazer, transform!" She said desperately, hoping that the other could hear her.

OOC: Sorry, homework held me up longer than expected.

Arachnitron noticed out of the corner of her eye that Tarantulas picked up on her intentions. She had been hoping that he would. She wanted to shoot at Blackarachnia for the sole purpose of distracting her enough to turn around and fire back. Meanwhile, Tarantulas could grab the transwarp cell from her pincers. She noticed Tarantulas watching BA and waiting for his moment to strike.

Suddenly, one of the shots broke through Blackarachnia's web causing her to lose her grip and careen towards the ground.

Arachnitron swore under her breath. Blackarachnia was now out of Tarantulas' reach. Even if she was distracted enough, Tarantulas was too far away to grab the transwarp cell. Arachnitron swung slowly to a halt, but BA was out of sight.

Arachnitron scanned the vegetation below her to find the other widow. What was she up to down there?

A split second later, the spider was firing back at her. Arachnitron dodged the first volley of shots, but in doing so jeopardized the silk thread that was holding her onto the tree. Eventually she too crashed to the ground transforming to robot mode along the way.

Blackarachnia was off like a shot running through the bramble and brush and jumping over fallen logs and other debris. Arachnitron narrowed her optics and took off after her following her every move.

But she knew she didn't have much of a chance on foot. Stealth was more her thing....running and jumping, not so much. She would tire out quickly. She'd have to radio Tarantulas. She started up a private communication between her and the tarantula.

"Arachnitron to Tarantulas. I've been forced to pursue on foot, but I'm not fast enough to keep up with her," she admitted. "I lost sight of her for a few seconds earlier. She wasn't out of sight for long, but it was definitely long enough to be up to something. Could you see her from where you were? What was she doing? Should I continue my pursuit?"

Arachnitron continued running trying very hard not to lose sight of Blackarachnia.

Before she hit the ground, she transformed to her beast form with her behind towards Arachnitron. She immeidately jumped behind a tree truck to evade them for a certain time. It wasn't a very good hiding spot but it would give her a few nanoclicks. She transformed back to her robot mode.

Taking out the transwarp cell, she held it tightly as she got out a certain explosive. It wasn't too big but it was code-locked.

She placed it on the transwarp cell and chuckled. Now, things were looking up...for her.

But she continued to play their game and shot at Arachnitron with her legs, running and jumping through branches.

Tarantulas was pleased to see BA fall due to Arachnitron's shot, but cursed when he missed his opportunity to strike she landed safely in beast mode and attempted to hide herself, poorly thankfully, before changing into robot mode and...

"SLAG HER! SLAG HER STRAIGHT TO THE PIT!" Tarantulas hissed, unable to see exactly what she had done but knowing that she'd been tampering with the transwarp cell, which could mean any number of possibilities from her just ascertaining its condition after the fall to her damaging it beyond repair out of spite.

She needed to die, she needed to die and he needed that cell back so he could examine its condition, plain and simple. NO ONE PLAYED GAMES WITH HIM LIKE THIS AND LIVED TO BRAG ABOUT IT! He continued his pursuit from the trees as she fled on the ground like the lowly creature he knew her to be.

"She was tampering with the cell, continue your pursuit but utilize extreme caution, I cannot confirm exactly what she was doing, but at least you will not have to trouble yourself over keeping up with her much longer" Tarantulas communicated back to Arachnitron as he swung from branch to branch in true ninja fashion before launching several missiles up ahead, his intent being to halt Blackarachnia's progress and give them time to catch up with her.

The missiles exploded forcefully, setting the forest ablaze and blasting chunks of burning wood and dirt everywhere, the fire blocking the direction Blackarachnia had been running down.

"Quickly now, block her remaining escape routes. She'll get to choose whether she dies by our pincers or in flames! BWAHAHAHA!" Tarantulas jeered as he descended from the trees at last and closed the distance between him and his prey on foot, weapons trained on her in eager anticipation of the kill.

Like a boss, Scorponok flew into the scene out of nowhere.

"Megatron!" he gleefully shouted, "I have arrived to aid you!"

Transforming into his robot mode, the obsidian Predacon glared through his visor at the alien construct before them all. Manterror had failed to penetrate its seemingly impervious defenses. Neither Megatron nor Optimus Primal seemed to know how to get into through the wall. All hoped seemed so lost.

Challenge accepted!

"Ka-chow!"

Scorponok fired a burst of his organic acid into the alien growth. As if a miracle had occurred, a large hole proceeded to burn into the green wall. It was no miracle, though. It was simply Scorponok doing what he did best: moving along the plot.

When the glaring contest ended Feralnight looked back towards Dinobot, Steelclaw, and Umbra, listening to this apparently new Predacon explain what he did and things such as payments. He seemed like a usual mercenary to her from the way it sounded but she kept her mouth shut for now, least this time since there wasn't much she could say about this newcomer and quite frankly she was actually glad to be going. Of course telling the others she and Cecaelia had about gone at it wouldn't settle well when they got back, especially when they were at a truce, if it really was one at all.

"Fine by me,"Feralnight said giving a final glare towards the other femme before beginning to leave with Dinobot and reverting to beast mode without the usual command, but this time she stuck to walking to give her wings a little break from flying.

((OOC: Aw, Scorponok looks adorable in that pic! That is a funny post, Alak. XD Good old Scorponok. ))

Unlike Airazor, she didn't transform, taking all the electric bolts through her systems. And despite Airazor yell for her to transform, she didn't.

There was something oddly familiar with what she was feeling. Her head looked at all directions with her face still cringed in pain, but she stared at every design in the bunaglow in her struggle of pain. She felt like her spark was being pulled out from her body. For a split second, half of her spark poked out from her chest before it swiftly went back inside and it was then she transformed into her beast mode. Her body made a thud on the ground. Not a very graceful landing.

The aliens' voice boomed again. It wasn't threatening, but a cold affirmation with one word in basic dialect.

"...Cybertron."

Whitegrazer tried to to keep herself online, which was very difficult, but she fought the urge, "Airazor?"

She called out for her friend to make sure if she was still online, "We get into some doozies, don't we?"

A chuckle seeped out when she heard some voices outside. They were muffled though and her auditory sensors did really want to focus nor did her optics. She hit her head a couple of times to get herself straighten out. She didn't want to go on shut down. Something inside didn't want that.

Another voice was heard--it sounded like Scorponok-- with something opening. Did they find a way in?

Hopefully, the Predacons will behave. Well, they have been lately ever since the truce, but something inside told her it wasn't going to last much long.

___________________________________________________________________________

Blackarachnia kept running and shooting, looking more desperate in her movements. Good. She was inwardly smiling, but kept her head clear. She didn't want to get herself killed or blown up.

It was then she saw Tarantulas' missiles blow apart, sending her fly backwards towards a tree trunk. Embers in the air surrounded her, branches falling apart, and trees themselves cracking through the stresses of the fires caused by the spider.

Idiot! This fire will have the other Predacons and Maximals alarmed and check what is going on here.

Rolling her optics at Tarantulas' frantic fury at her, she managed to pick herself up. Her entire form was dirty and burned from the heat of the flames and debris together, but overall, she was still alive and kicking.

Now, she was just trapped with the knocked down trees and walls of fire all over her. She just crossed her arms, waiting for the two to appear.

They were going to get an awful surprise. She done what she wanted and now, they will need her in order to continue unless they wanted to die.

And, oh, those silly spiders. I'm enjoying your posts. XD

Yay Silverstreak and Manterror! ))
"So... it's like a... mushroom?"
"Well, I wouldn't try eatin' it," Rattrap sarcastically commented to the cheetah without taking his optics off of his task that was beginning to frustrate him.
"Think we should try shooting it, Big 'Bot?"
Optimus watched Cheetor approach while Rattrap continued his attempt at cutting through the wall. Unfortunately, it didn't look like he was making any progress. "Hold that thought, Cheetor," he said calmly. "We don't want to do anything that might aggravate the Vok even more."

"Yeah, 'cause, you know, breaking and entering ain't gonna make 'em mad," the rat in robot mode added with more sarcasm. "Eh... Nada!" the Spy blurted out. "Whatever this is, e-e-energy beams don't mean slag to it."
"Optimus you really think a little laser will get through that?
"Megatron," Primal announced upon hearing the tyranno's bellowing voice and turning around to face him and a couple of his Predacons that made up his posse.
"MANTERRORIZE!!"
And Manterror?! Terrific.

Rattrap immediately deactivated his laser tool and spun around to see the Predacons lining up, saying, "Hoooly swiss cheese, we're in for it now!"
The Vok create energon itself, you'll need something far more stronger to get inside and save your underlings."
"Doesn't seem that structure will be broken down too easily." "I mean not from the way it looks."
Observing the subtle interaction between Megatron and Onyx, the Maximal Commander thought for a moment about the ebony equine. There had been times he wished he could have spoken more with him. He wasn't entirely sure if he and Steelclaw understood how far Megatron was willing to go to get what he wanted and how much he could care less about their well being. Killing someone like Glowstick was such a waste of an extraordinary bot who had so many useful skills. He just didn't want to see the same thing happen to another, but it was pretty much beyond his control.
"Perhaps not stronger as much as something different," "We know the aliens hate our Cybertronian forms yet their contraptions pay us no heed when we're in beast modes. Perhaps the same logic can be applied to this situation and we can attempt to break in with an organic weapon?"
"Bah! I'll break through this demonic growth!" "AAHAHAHHAA!!!"
Both Optimus and Rattrap looked at Nemesis when she landed and spoke up. Using something biological was a good idea, and he was willing to try anything to get his Maximals out of there. ...Except for the stunt Manterror just pulled. An attack like that could very well make things worse! Who knew what was happening inside to Primal's two Maximals! The gorilla and rat in their robot modes shielded their faces with their arms to block the sparks from the mantis's blades that were spewing in all directions, failing to pierce the wall.

"Aaaand not even a scratch," Rattrap teased Manterror with a grin. "Guess you ain't as tough as you thought, insect."
"Megatron!" "I have arrived to aid you!"
Then, watching the blindly loyal scorpion scurry up next to the giant, purple dinosaur, the vermin said, "A bit slow on those little legs, aren't ya? Those giant clamps of yers weighin' ya down?" he smirked.
"Ka-chow!"
Optimus and Rattrap immediately stepped aside as the scorpion shot some of his acid from his stinger onto the dome's wall. The toxic substance caused a hole that expanded large enough for someone like Primal's size to fit through. With great relief, peering into the darkness inside, Optimus turned to look at the Predacons and said sternly, "Looks like you guessed right. But the Maximals are the ones trapped inside. We go in first." No way was he going to allow the Preds in there to harm Airazor and Whitegrazer or try to take control of this alien contraption. He was well aware that Megatron didn't care for their lives; he just wanted to get his tiny hands on the Vok technology.

Standing beside Cheetor, the shorter Maximal looked up at Primal and pointed out, "Heeeey. What's dis 'we' stuff?" He was not fond of going in there where they could be trapped and tortured. Or killed. Although he knew their friends were in there, maybe someone should stand guard outside and keep eye on the Preds. Then again, was that any safer? Probably not.

(( OOC: I'll pause there for Meggy's line and for Blazemane if Cheetor wants to comment on anything. ))

Inside the dark, vast dome, once both of the Maximals had finally reverted back to their beast forms, and the displeased voice had spoken again, it grew deathly silent. As the hole Scorponok created enlarged, there was suddenly no sign of any threat or hostility inside. Whoever was entering now would be fooled into thinking there was nothing to fear. Hopefully one of them was the Cybertronian they seeked only to give him the worst possible news and end this nonsense once and for all. Even if they had found a long lost Empath. Not even she would be able to stop them. Fools.

-----

Tigatron's eyes had caught Wintersong's team returning as he left, and noticed a new face among them. He couldn't help but smile and was anxious to meet the new arrival, however, he had a job to do and had to stay focused. He could meet the new Maximal later. Right now, he had to try and find Aurora. Pressing on, stopping here and there for a new sniff to make sure he was still on track, the white tiger trotted onward, praying nothing or no one would harm her, especially if this was her time to be alone and think about the one closest to her that she had lost.

(( OOC: Not sure, Phoenix, if you actually want Tigatron to find her or not. I'm just winging it. ))

Nemesis could do little but watch as Scorponok announced his arrival by blasting the until now impenetrable wall with acid which promptly opened a gap large enough for Optimus to slip through. She was hardly surprised by the look of pride on the scorpion's face, as if he was expecting a pat on the back and a treat for having shown up when he did, and knowing Megatron's affinity for blindly loyal skidplate kissers such as the new arrival she was fully expecting the purple dinosaur to follow through with the scorpion's desires.

Yet she said nothing either way. There was no point.

Instead she just followed Primal's movement to the opening in the wall, a part of her being curious of what secrets the inside held but another part was feeling lucky she wasn't about to be the guinea pig to find out. The other Maximals remained outside while their leader took it upon himself to rescue his missing crew members. Nemesis let her gaze fall upon each of the remaining Maximals in turn, something that could resemble a playful grin apparent on her face even in beast mode, before she finally turned her attention to Megatron.

(ooc: I was originally planning to have Aurora out for the rest of the season but I'm now rather indecisive about what to do.)

Ironclaw stepped onto the lift with Wintersong and Silversteak and waited until it had completely ascended. Like the fembots he noticed that there were not many Maxmals left on station, except for a few. He transformed without saying the command and strode past Silverstreak. He did see that Filla was amongst the few, at her desk as usual. Ironclaw came to Wintersong and gently took her arm in affection and briefly smiled at her. She seemed like she could handle the welcoming of the new Maximal . If anyone was to know what was going on, Frilla would knowing, monitoring the communications amongst the other varies responsibilities she has. He walked up behind her seat, "What's the situation." he asked.

Dinobot transformed to his beast mode without a command. He directed his attention to Umbra one last time. "As do I," he said with a small, expectant grin. Hopefully, Optimus would grow wise, and the truce would be called off in due time, and then Dinobot would have the chance to test the new Predacon's skills in combat.

He turned around and walked side-by-side with Feralnight back through the cover of the trees.
Umbra wrote:Well, I suppose we should head out to towards your base unless you have anything else in order.
Steelclaw shrugged. "Not--" He was cut off by a surge of energy from the planet's energon radiation; once the seemingly-electric lines disappeared, he transformed back into his beast mode and landed on his paws. "Not that I can think of," he finished.

He walked by Umbra, pointed in the direction of the Darksyde and then spoke again. "Actually, where did your stasis pod land? If it's anywhere the Maximals can reach any time soon, maybe we shouldn't leave it out."

* * *

As much as Dinobot hated the truce, he thought it was strangely fortunate that he should be sent on the mission to retrieve Umbra at a time where he was not allowed to engage in combat. Umbra, apparently, had no predetermined allegiance to either the Maximals or the Predacons, and so, he could not be forcibly "rescued" from Predacon hands. And because such violence would be futile, then--truce or no truce--for Dinobot to have attacked Steelclaw or Cecaelia would have left a poor first impression.

When Dinobot judged that he and Feralnight had gone far enough away from the Predacons to speak without being overheard, he turned to her.

"I feel a bit... incompetent, returning to base without the protofrom," he admitted. "But I thank you for going along with the decision so easily. I am... surprised, actually."

It was strange that Feralnight had let Umbra go, too, but he wouldn't force her for an explanation. Still, he decided offer one for himself.

"At any rate, I do not mean to leave Umbra entirely to the Predacons. I do not not yet know whether I can speak of him as "honorable," but his strict adherence to this idea of service-for-payment may prove to function in a similar manner. Umbra will expect the Predacons to continue offering him enough to make all of his potential work for them worth doing; I suspect, in the end, that he will find himself cheated."

Dinobot remembered the first day everyone had landed on the planet, and the events just before: how Megatron refused to destroy the Maximals when he had the chance, how he had laughed at the challenge that Dinobot had presented to him clearly, and how Scorponok, at his silent command, had ended the fight dishonorably before it had ever truly begun.

"Megatron does not bargain with those he seeks to command."

* * *

Cheetor intentionally tried to make eye contact with Megatron and Nemesis when they arrived; the Predacon leader made him nervous, but it wasn't a scared kind of nervous, or at least not mostly. Megatron made Cheetor mad; Megatron made Cheetor want to get him. And it wasn't very often that he got the chance to. Now, he was standing there, talking to Optimus just a pounce away, and Cheetor still couldn't do a thing about it. Slagging truce.

And Nemesis, well... she had killed two of Cheetor's friends. He wondered how she didn't know how bad that was. He almost hoped that by staring at her balefully, he'd make her get the message.

He was forced to take his gaze away and leap back when Manterror suddenly attacked the structure and sent sparks flying everywhere.

He was maybe even a little more amazed (though not as shocked and surprised) when Scorponok showed up; where did he come from?
Scorponok wrote:Ka-chow!
Even in the tension of the situation, Cheetor had to smile. He said Ka-chow! Scorponok had said Ka-Chow!

And he... totally wrecked the alien dome thing, too. Cheetor would have said "ultra gear," but he didn't want to give a Predacon a compliment.
