Yeah, that's the comic. Set on modern day earth no less. Then the whole thing was scrapped.
Alrighty, this one might be a bit harder. Which character referred to herself as "Cathrine"?

The discussion about the debut year for Beast Wars is continued here.
I have this comic, but I can't read it because it's sealed (although I read a scan of it ages ago). As I've mentioned on this thread, I was living in Japan when Beast Wars came out, so I initially got the Japanese version of Optimus Primal vs. Megatron which doesn't come with the comic. Then later on when my parents went to the U.S. they got me the Hasbro version as a souvenir - so since the toys are identical I've decided to keep them sealed. The downside is I can't access the comic. :p Is anyone willing to scan me a copy of this comic (or point me to a link that has scans of it)? It would be greatly appreciated.
Interestingly enough, in Japan the tech spec bios for Bat Primal and Croc Megatron state that they _are_ G1 Optimus Prime and Megatron (but gorilla Primal and T-Rex Megatron are not!). There was even an exclusive CD ROM set with Bat Primal released in white and red and Croc Megatron in black and purple (the same colours as G2's 1994 Hero Optimus Prime and Megatron).

Well yeah, Hasbro/Kenner initially intended for Beast Wars to be a direct continuation of G1/G2 in terms of the Autobots being the Maximals, and the Decepticons being the Predacons. And it wasn't just from this comic, when you read the early tech spec bios it's evident that the Beast Wars Transformers are meant to be the Autobots and Decepticons fighting on Earth with new forms as Maximals and Predacons. It was Mainframe who decided to completely disregard this and created their own new take on Beast Wars canon which quickly became the more widely accepted/preferred canon. Even Hasbro joined in Mainframe's continuity as the tech spec bios from the Transmetals/Fuzors onwards matches the cartoon's continuity.NaitoKage wrote:Set on modern day earth no less. Q: Which store-exclusive Beast Wars toys came with "transforming" drinking glasses?
Bonus point question: How do these glasses actually "transform"?

so what happens if no one gets the answer? Does the person who asked the question get to ask another?

After 24 hours have elapsed from the time a question is posted and nobody has submitted an answer, then the question becomes Void. This means that nobody wins any points and it's Open for anyone to ask the next question -- doesn't have to be the person who last asked.

Really sorry, Monday was a busy day. I didn't mean to ignore your previous question and I'm sure the same goes for everyone else. As for the current question, I know the toys in your pictures were in versus sets, but I don't think any of them came with a volcano. Not sure if you're asking about those toys or ones not shown, but I think it was Armordillo and Snapper that had the environment stuff.

ok, I'll ask a question then (since it's well over 24 hours)GoktimusPrime wrote:After 24 hours have elapsed from the time a question is posted and nobody has submitted an answer, then the question becomes Void. Other than Dark Glass, what was another Beast Wars episode that was never produced?
Hint: It takes place in season One.

^ Goktimus actually took the liberty of already asking a new question.
But the answer is "A Greater Ape"

Alak: Correct! The Volcano Base playset did indeed come with the Armourdillo vs. Snapper versus set. They're not in those photos I posted because neither of those characters ever appeared in the cartoon, and I took those photos just to show case all the characters who appeared in the cartoon season by season. Btw, no need to apologise if you were too busy to answer the question. The 24 hour rule exists to stop the game from stalling if someone posts a question that's too hard for others to answer, like "What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen Airazor?" :p

Of his beast mode...? Uhhhh... Either Terrorsaur, Dinobot, Tarantulas (this one's a BIIIG guess) or Rampage.
