But this truce could be helpful for the Maximals. With neither side firing at each other, it could prove to be not as worthless as everyone seems to believe. War was all for thinking outside of the box and what better way to take advantage of an enemy then to turn their strageties into something the other side could take advantage of as well? What about talking to the Predacons? There were reasonable, strong ones that if one event happened could be on their side. Also, there were the ones that were not so reasonable, some plain crazy or sadistic and treacherous. Not all of them will, but maybe some can be redeemed.
After all, most of these Predacons were not their enemy. Who is the enemy, the true one? The true enemy is the one she wants. Was it Megatron, really Megatron or was there one deeper? Maybe she was overanalyzing, but through all these battlefields past and present she has been in, there were the pawns, kings, and queens who are being pulled by their chessmaster, the real enemy. Knocking over all the pawns, kings, and queens isn't the end, the chessmaster would just come back for round two.
That is the answer she wants: who was the chessmaster? Right now, she couldn't guess. She wondered if Onyx gave her message to Steelclaw yet? She didn't seem to have such assurance that he would, but she had faith.
Well, she would have to talk to Optimus about what she plans on doing privately, so he won't be left in the dark. Also, she needed to search for Saberfang. So much to do...she chuckled inwardly.
Cheetor's concern with Arachnitron was the same sentiment that Wintersong felt, but she tried so did the others and Whitegrazer did wish she should have done something or never left in the first place. But she did go and she couldn't expose Aurora to those battles. They fought valiantly despite the fact Arachnitron was gone. They all couldn't guilt trip themselves now. All they could do now was move forward and learn from everything.
She nodded in agreement.""Perhaps if all of us send her our thoughts and energy, it will help guide her through whichever path she chooses."
Rattrap's argument towards Optimus was understandable, but Arachnitron was cunning herself even with all those personalities. Also, Glowstick will never let that happen. Glowstick was more trustworthy than Tarantulas, but if she got to talk to Steelclaw, she will have to ask him and make him promise something. If he kept the promise, anyway, was up to him. He was reasonable but still an engima. After all, Steelclaw hasn't shown regret for his actions or she hasn't seen it, but this was the same Predacon who was willingly trick her to coming into the Predacon base to either brainwash her or put her to death. Also, he has shown no feelings to shoot her up or her comrades.
That's why it is was so important that she talked to h--
The alarm blared a dreaded siren. Staring at Icebreaker's CR, her spark gripped with emotions of concern and the dreadful silence. She tried to reached Icebreaker's spark with what she could muster, but...his spark faded, falling away. Reaching for it became harder and harder like a hand trying to grasp a fish from a stream. It was gone. The spark was traveling to the Matrix and she couldn't stop it. No one could. Aurora was desperately hugging the penguin, crying out for him. Whitegrazer's features were sorrowful as she came to Aurora's side who now was just in a crying heap.
"It's okay, Aurora, Icebreaker was our friend, techincally family, and it's hard to lose someone who we care for, but we shouldn't fret as he is with the Matrix now where he will never feel pain again. Though, his presence is gone and will be missed, his spark will always be with us." She comforted the young one and gently helped her up off the floor.
She looked at Icebreaker's now sparkless body and her hand seemed to graze it over without touching it, "Rest now, young soldier. Your time has passed. Though short it was and cruel that your life has been taken away in a war so far home, a home you will never see again, the home we left behind, we take comfort to know that your memory will go on within us and your spirit will carry us through these dark battles, reminding us what and who we are fighting for and against. And when the day comes when we shall die, we will greet you and the other comrades, enemies alike in the Matrix along with our ancestors, ancestors long forgotten who died fighting just like us, dying for the same ideals and motto, "Till all are one...comrade. Till all are one."
Whitegrazer bowed her head and closed her optics. It was the eulogy she always told towards her comrades who passed away in battle. She told it so many times that it was bred into her memory. This is the first time she had said it in front of everyone on the Axalon. She usually does it over the bodies like Nightmist's but it was in private. Doing it over Icebreaker's now wasn't what she expected.
I will take care of the tools you have given me, friend. Thank you.
