After a while the CR chamber opened and Wintersong stepped out, the stinging feeling gone and no more signs of frostbite showed. Glancing to the others who still remained Wintersong moved an empty seat and sat down not far from Tigatron and Feralnight, looking towards a monitor for a moment in thought. The mission still bothered her for the time being ad to what had occured all together. First she thought of the brief conflict with Glowstick, frowning at the stupid mistake that nearly costed the drowning. Surprisingly the squid had given the tigeress a chance to surrender and live or continue fighting and die a cold death. Why? Normally it was rare for Predacons to give such mercy. Wintersong shook her head a bit finding the Predacons more confusing every time.
Her thoughts then drifted to what the Decepticon had done, or appeared to have done. But if the Decepticon did become a Pred would she still be a big threat? Maybe. Probably as big of a threat as any Predacon in the Beast Wars. Wintersong finally looked back around at the main bridge then leaned back slightly. It was going to be a long night.

"O.k," Cheetor nodded. "Then Sentinel probably already recognizes you."Frilla wrote:I have, made Rattrap cringe because of it.
"Yeah," he replied with little energy. "If it's in our database, we can all read it and put it in our com-links. Seems easier than everybody asking you one by one."Frilla wrote:So com frequency right?
((OOC: Or however com-link frequencies are shared and known among the Maximals. *Shrugs*))
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

(No idea there on Com frequencies.. I only just learned of Cybertronian text being legible as coded English.*L* )
Rhinox watched the pile of goo inside of Nightmist's body examining it, he picked up a random scrap bolt and dropped it into the nanomachine pile watching it be eaten away. His optics narrowed showing some concern Hmm.. But why hasn't it eaten through her, the table, and everything else?..I'll need a sample..
Rhinox activated his comlink

Icebreaker smirked slightly as he watched Wintersong, then watched as Tigatron sat down at one of the consoles. Icebreaker then heard his comlink chirp as Rhinox called Icebreaker, this is Rhinox.
Icebreaker raised an optic ridge Hey, you okay down there Big guy? I'm fine, listen I need you to bring some things and come down here. I need to get a sample and I believe you'd be the best at helping get it. Rhinox then said.
Icebreaker leaned down picking up his medical bag Er... Okay.. he then turned off his comlink puzzled Huh.. Wonder why he'd need me for that.. he then walked out of the bridge down the hall, passing Rattrap and Whitegrazer as he overheard Whitegrazer speak.
Icebreaker blinked That could be taken out of context.. he thought to himself heading down stairs to the hanger, soon arriving at the bottom. He looked around Hey Rhinox.. where are you? he then shouted, then heard the door to the Nomad open In here, did you bring your supplies?
Icebreaker walked towards the transport confused still Er.. yeah.. What sort of sample are you getting off Misty anyway?.. Icebreaker then stopped as he saw the remains on the table, his hand tightening into a fist as he walked closer, he then handed the bag to Rhinox. Rhinox started going through it then pulled out a piece of metal and forceps A nano machine sample from that decepticon.. Can you ready your gun? I'll need you to freeze the sample.
Icebreaker cringed as he looked over Nightmist, her body looking like a cut open and twisted sodacan with a pool of slime in the center. Very little of which he could recognize as cybertronian anatomy. Simply a husk. He then glanced to Rhinox as he heard him, drawing his gun, then looked towards it as he adjusted the dial on the side A nano machine sample.. I didn't think first generations carried that sort of thing..though living metal cells always did confuse me as well. I've never seen that much of a nano colony before.. Are you sure this is even safe to have on the ship?
Rhinox shaked his head using the forceps to grab the piece of metal, then dipped it into the pool of nano machines, lifting it slowly as it stringed like slime and then snapped. No, it's probably not. Normally they don't have that sort of thing.. That's why I called you down here. I'm going to run some tests and I want you to watch her. You and Tigatron are the only ones equipped to deal with a situation like this. he responded, Icebreaker pointed his gun towards the sample and fired as a small blast hit the sample causing it to freeze with frosted air billowing from the sample like dry ice. Well that's comforting..
Icebreaker took a few steps back grabbing a chair and sitting down, he then adjusted the dial on his gun and set it down on his leg pointed towards the table.

Rhinox walked out of the Nomad and Hanger heading towards the bridge, then walked towards the center holographic console, he then pressed a button as a part of the table opened and raised, then placed the sample down on it. Computer, run a full scan on this sample. he then said in a stern voice, the computer responding "Acknowledged"
The holographic display then turned on showing a magnified image of the sample with a list of information at the side of the picture, the picture then changed showing three dimensional representation of three different structures which looked like a strange mix between a mechanical bug and a organic cell. Rhinox brought his hand to his chin as he looked at the images, and read the information. Hmm.. So the top one is the Decepticon's.. the middle one is Nightmist's.. but the third..is a evolution of both.. he then muttered to himself, his other hand on the keyboard as the information from the scan started to scroll down.

Frilla nodded glancing at the monitor a moment hen back at Cheetor. "Definitely easier." She replied giving Cheetor the code for her com frequency, wondering if that was about all they needed for now.
(Not quite sure with the coms either so just assumed they had codes or something for the individual Maximals and Predacons.)
--------------------------
Feralnight listened to all that went on but her gaze was fixed on the monitor, keeping an eye out for any possible predacon threats. After what had happened she wasn't going to risk the base being snuck up on and someone else ending up seriously harmed.

Primal faintly raised a brow at him for a moment. "Optimus is fine, Orcariner. If you'd like," the leader offered him. Calling him "sir" wasn't necessary. But if the larger Maximal was more comfortable with the formality, then he wouldn't mind."No sir," "I mean, sometimes. Maybe, sir."
"The thing is that soldiers follow their orders without question during battle." Well, most of them do, thought Optimus. Rattrap was an exception."I am both willing and afraid, sir. I find myself passionate for constructing plans, missions or otherwise, and I like to see if I can execute these plans. I'm just a little unsure of myself sometimes. It's not that I don't trust my teammates, because I do. The thing is that soldiers follow their orders without question during battle. If the person in charge constructs a faulty plan, then the soldiers will still follow him on that doomed path. I know it's not the best analogy here, especially since a lot of us question everything or improvise at a constant rate. It's just that, the choice I made today eventually led to... you know. Who's to say that my future decisions won't have the same consequences?"
The orca's question was a significant one. Primal, being inexperienced, wasn't sure if he was qualified to answer that, or hand out advice, because he was still learning as well. He didn't have all of the answers. "Orcariner, it was not just your decision that ended in that specific result. It was a number of things that happened leading up to that point, many of which were out of our control. I decided to send you on that mission, so I can still blame myself for what happened. But I couldn't have predicted any of the fall out, and neither could you. I do believe this was more of an isolated incident. We can never be certain that our decisions won't have dire consequences when we're out in the field. We just... We just have to take them as they come. Anything can change what happens," Optimus explained, "and that's when we have to deviate from the original objective and improvise. Don't ever be afraid to look for suggestions from your team because everyone perceives situations differently, and they might have some alternatives according to their functions and different ideas to utulize." The commanding Maximal leaned forward a little in his chair and looked directly into his crew member's optics, firming the tone of his voice. "Every decision you made today was the right one, Orcariner. Had I been there with you, I would have ordered you to do the same things you did on your own." He needed a motivational boost because Optimus truly believed Orcariner had great potential in leadership. "You do have a passion for constructing plans," he agreed, "and your perseverance is tramendous. I always welcome your ideas and recommendations for our missions because they are adequate and effective."
-----
Unfortunately, neither of them really had any idea just how ruthless and dangerous Megatron really was."Yes, Megatron is a very troublesome Pred. Very dangerous."
"I figured," Rattrap shrugged with a snicker."No, but you do remind me about most of them."
Hah! We'll see 'bout that, he thought. Then again, she did take on Megatron and kicked his skidplate..."Oh I'm tough," "Only when I need to be."
Rattrap gave Whitegrazer an exaggarated gasp and glared at her. "You take that back! My room may be messy but it don't sm..." After a couple deep inhales, he waved a hand in front of his face and joked, "Okay, maybe yer right. Guess I know what everybody's been talkin' about now." He chuckled."Oh very cute, little rat. I wonder what you have in your room? I think I smell it from here."
"Betta change that attitude, missy. There be a lotta ridin' in these parts," he teased with an American southern accent before realizing how that could be taken. Eh. "Seriously, though, if somebody needs a lift, you better give it to 'em. I'm always bein' carried around, mostly by Rhinox and Optimus. And I'll tell you what, I hate flyin'!" He shuttered thinking about the times he was carried on their leader's back. "It's amazin' I'm still alive.""As long as no one gives me a saddle. No one is going to ride me." "Unless in extreme circumstances."
-----
"Better, Wintersong?" Tigatron asked her warmly, watching her return to the group after her time spent in the repair chamber. He also noticed Icebreaker take leave with his medical bag after Rhinox called him. The feline grew curious, of course, but minded his own business. Maybe all of them present could carry on a decent conversation and learn about each other a little more, especially Frilla. In the back of his mind, he wondered how Orcariner was doing with his debriefing with Optimus. He didn't think the large Maximal should be so hard on himself, and he knew how kind and compassionate Optimus was, so hopefully Orcariner would gain some confidence in his actions and be just as ready and prepared as they all had to be for the next mission after their loss of Nightmist.
"Well, that's just prime!"

Whitegrazer shook her head but wanted to make sure, smiling warmly, "I hope you understand I was just kidding, Rattrap."Optimal Optimus Primal wrote: Rattrap gave Whitegrazer an exaggarated gasp and glared at her. "That's why I said extreme circumstances. I would gladly give everyone a ride on my back in the battlefield and emergency situations. Just don't want people thinking I'm an amusement park ride." Whitegrazer then rethought her response, "Well...actually...giving people rides during freetimes couldn't be so bad. " She smirked."Betta change that attitude, missy. "I guess you should be glad you have a Maximal with a very graceful horse as a beast mode, huh? Though, I wonder what is so bad riding on Rhinox and Optimus?" she asked innocently.
"You are not afraid heights, are you Rattrap?"
She was enjoying this time talking to this rat. She was at least starting some conversation towards one. Many to go and she couldn't wait to start getting to know everyone.

"Thank you for your reassurance," replied Orcariner with a smile, wishing he had more to say than just those words.Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Orcariner, it was not just your decision that ended in that specific result. It was a number of things that happened leading up to that point, many of which were out of our control. I decided to send you on that mission, so I can still blame myself for what happened. "You do have a passion for constructing plans," "and your perseverance is tramendous. I always welcome your ideas and recommendations for our missions because they are adequate and effective."
It was more than clear by now that Optimus had faith in Orcariner. His lack of anger over the Maximal's earlier decisions seemed genuine as well as his assertion that the situation would have been no different had the captain taken his place. The killer whale was actually starting to feel better. Now, he sort of felt guilty for feeling better so soon after Nightmist's death but he quickly corrected his emotions... or rather sorted them properly. The burden of today's actions and decisions at the northern arctic was lessened. Orcariner still felt sorrow for the passing of a teammate, but he was now in a place of acceptance. It was a fairly quick progression but he thanked Optimus for helping him with that. Once more, the larger Maximal tried to recall any of his previous teachers or superiors but failed to find any who was as compassionate as this one.
"I should be going back to the hanger," he said, standing up, "Rhinox and the others could probably use some help with the forensics report."
It would be rather difficult to lay eyes on the body, especially with the emotional toll that weighed on him not too long ago. However, Orcariner knew he would eventually have to see it. He might as well suck it up and get over the matter now. Doing work was better than doing nothing.
"Also," he added, "I may not be much help with grievance, as you probably saw through our conversation just now. Still, I'm here if you ever need to talk about this... or anything for the matter. We're all here for you, Optimus."
With that, Orcariner extended his hand to his leader. He extended his hand to his friend.

"Better then earlier." Wintersong replied turning her gaze to Tigatron managing a smile. Though mood wise Wintersong still felt a bit of anger at her actions earlier and still felt the sadness of the loss for their teammate. Today had seemed both good and bad, in sense they had gained two new teammates but yet had a loss of a fellow Maximal. Inwardly shaking her head the tigeress pushed the thoughts back trying to think of something else other then what had occurred. "Hey Tigatron did you ever see Cybertron before here?" She asked the older tiger, a bit curious if he had or not.

"You're welcome, Orcariner," said Optimus, returning the smile. It had been a while since he saw the big guy show that emotion, but he was glad to see it despite the circumstances."Thank you for your reassurance,"
The leader nodded, agreeing to end their conversation where it was. After all, he could use some time alone, even just briefly, before moving on. He should probably hop in the CR and finally get repaired; he could definitely use the rest. "Let Rhinox know you're on your way. I believe he called for Icebreaker's assistance for a minor situation that arised," he recommended to Orcariner. Rhinox might not want anymore hands crowding the autopsy. Sometimes there were too many cooks in the kitchen. And if the situation was delicate with those "nano machines," he might not want anyone else exposed to them if they were a threat."I should be going back to the hanger," "Rhinox and the others could probably use some help with the forensics report."
Primal's optics never wavered from the other Maximal's gaze as he stood up from his chair and shook the orca's extended hand with a firm grasp. "Thank you, Orcariner." His words meant more to him than the aquatic Maximal probably realized. Optimus was very grateful for the team he had. He just wished they were working under better circumstances. Who knew when they'd finally be able to go home. ((OOC: Sorry if I seemed to rush him out, Alak. Just wanted to keep moving.))"Also," "I may not be much help with grievance, as you probably saw through our conversation just now. Still, I'm here if you ever need to talk about this... or anything for the matter. We're all here for you, Optimus."
Escorting Orcariner to the door, Primal remained inside of his quarters after the door shut behind the taller Maximal, and he walked back over to his computer sitting down in his chair. The images and information of the Decepticon still cluttered the screen. He had to admit that Orcariner did an excellent job in acquiring all of it for his review. His debriefing was very thorough. Scrolling through the images again, his mind drifted all sorts of things. Nightmist, her plea for help, his failure in doing so, the pressure both Megatron and the aliens held over him, the Decepticon, losing Nightmist, and nearly losing Wintersong. Sadness, outrage, and anger bubbled up inside of him as everything swelled like a hurricane in his mind. Finally he just swung one of his arms across his desk in a fit of frustration, shoving some miscellaneous objects off and causing them to bounce off of the wall and land a few feet away on the floor. Then Optimus leaned forward, propping his elbows on his desk and holding his face in the palms of his cupped hands. It was a minor break down that he only dared doing in private as everything cascaded in his head and seemed to overwhelm him. What am I supposed to do? What is Megatron's grand scheme and will we be able to stop him? How did we get pulled into this mess? he asked himself. I've lost a Maximal. I've lost Nightmist. I wasn't trained for this! I'm not a leader of war! How are we going to survive here? ...I almost lost Wintersong. Wintersong, who must have been terrified by the ordeal she went through with Glowstick. Perhaps he should talk to her about it? But maybe she didn't want to relive it again. Still, it might be better if he showed concern and wanted to make sure she was all right.
Sitting there quietly, his memory returned to his conversation with Orcariner and he took a deep breath, lifted his head and lowered his hands. Focusing back on his computer, he stored and secured the Decepticon's data and brought up Nightmist's profile. Optimus slowly and thoughtfully made the necessary adjustments to her new status and added some notes. What was that saying someone once told him? Let the dead rest, and care for the living. All he could do now for Nightmist was keep her memory alive and move on with the rest of his crew, hoping they could make it home all together. ...Whenever that may be.
Securing the computer and shutting it off, Optimus thought it best to log everything later and get repaired first. Getting up, he picked up the objects from the floor, set them back on his desk and left his quarters, heading toward the main control center where most of the others still gathered.
-----
"Yeah, I was just playing along," he winked."I hope you understand I was just kidding, Rattrap."
Rattrap chuckled at her amusement park ride comment."That's why I said extreme circumstances. I would gladly give everyone a ride on my back in the battlefield and emergency situations. Just don't want people thinking I'm an amusement park ride." "Well...actually...giving people rides during freetimes couldn't be so bad. "
"Heights? No," the rat answered Whitegrazer, "but I am afraid of fallin' from 10,000 feet and dying!" He shook his head. "Nothin' bad about Rhinox; he's just bumpy," he snickered. "So, uh, maybe you want some time to settle in or somethin'?" Rattrap didn't want to end up in an awkward moment of silence with their conversation even though he found it easy to speak with her. He also heard some foot steps down the corridor that sounded like Optimus' heading in their direction. "I gotta fetch Frilla and show 'er to her room too." There seemed to be a tiny bit of bitterness in his voice because he was talking about the former Predacon but it was not as bad as it had been earlier when the lizard first arrived."I guess you should be glad you have a Maximal with a very graceful horse as a beast mode, huh? Though, I wonder what is so bad riding on Rhinox and Optimus?" "You are not afraid heights, are you Rattrap?"
-----
Tigatron nodded to Wintersong, relieved to hear that."Better then earlier."
"I have not," he admitted. ((OOC: If I remembered that correctly.)) It was kind of strange not knowing your home world. "Sometimes I wonder if it can match the beauty of this world," he smiled lightly, inviting her to elaborate on his answer with her own memories and descriptions. If he understood it correctly, she had been a stowaway on the Axalon, so she must have known Cybertron to some extent."Hey Tigatron did you ever see Cybertron before here?"
"Well, that's just prime!"

Whitegrazer smiled. She knew she still had to work on jokes as her students love to tease her about that. At least, she was better now then back then. Oh Primus, what a disaster that was.Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Yeah, I was just playing along," he winked.
The picture of a rat falling down that high was something comical in her head, at least in her mind."Heights? No," the rat answered Whitegrazer, "but I am afraid of fallin' from 10,000 feet and dying!" He shook his head. "Nothin' bad about Rhinox; he's just bumpy," he snickered. "So, uh, maybe you want some time to settle in or somethin'?" Rattrap didn't want to end up in an awkward moment of silence with their conversation even though he found it easy to speak with her. There seemed to be a tiny bit of bitterness in his voice because he was talking about the former Predacon but it was not as bad as it had been earlier when the lizard first arrived.
Ah yes, the rat had a point. She should really try to arrange the room to her liking which wasn't a whole lot, "Yes, I guess I must relieve you so you can help Frilla find her some quarters."
She noticed the small, little bitterness, the rat was very distrusting of her. Despite her being Pred, Whitegrazer could sense Frilla didn't mean any harm to everyone now. That was her opinion though from what she saw of the lizard. She wondered if she should say something. Her instinct to speak interrupted any thoughts of doubt.
"Well, she can't be all that dangerous and evil like Megatron or...disturbed as that Starshadow girl. She seems normal but afraid to me anyway, and it wouldn't be a step too far for Megatron to play on his teammates' fears. Took alot of courage to leave, "she tried to reason but then smirked, "At least it wasn't Megatron himself or I will love to escort him to some quarters...ones with some bars and throw away the key."

"Compared to the nature here it seems second to it. Well unless you love big cities then ti might be considered beautiful to them." Wintersong replied leaning back a bit as she thought of her home world. "Cybertron is a giant metal planet full of cities, some parts are better then others though." She frowned a bit, remembering where herself had come from before joining the Maximal forces but pushed the past back again. She went through her thoughts thinking a bit, "As far as I can remember the planet didn't have vegetation, not like here from what I can recall. Mainly the planet has skyscrapers, and lights can often block out the stars from some." Wintersong added.

(Yep. Tigatron's data tracks were damaged in the crash, same with airazor and generally alot of the other stasis pods. I think Blackarachnia is an exception to the rule as she seemed to know alot about decepticon history. Rampage as well, but Rampage was a plot device anyway.
Now then.. to post, and then spend the rest of the night driving myself insane with backup data and formatting the main harddrive of my desktop..yay..-_-)
Glowstick floated down the halls thinking over what Sonar stated, obviously lies as if he cared about troop numbers so much he wouldn't of taken out Waspinator and Terrorsaur with the Leviathan's main guns. Though he wasn't sure what the animals Sonar kept collecting were for, assuming he was either experimenting on them, or torturing them for fun. Probably the latter of the two options as Predacons were prone to having such... unique hobbies.
He floated infront of Megatron's door, knocking with the back of his feeder tentacle. It was a unusual sound between that of a knock and a squishing wet noise. He then heard a frustrated voice from behind the door. What is it?!
Glowstick sighed, then straighten his body out much like a soldier. Glowstick reporting sir.
A low growl was heard before he responded Alright, come in. I am curious of your discoveries.. Megatron responded, making Glowstick's optics widen for a moment. He slid the door open and floated inside looking at Megatron, who appeared to have a strange look to his face and posture compared to his normal resolve. He closed the door behind himself and floated before his commander. Are you feeling alright Megatron? You look..
Megatron leaned up in his seat It's nothing.. Just some side effects of a tranqualizer you medics use..Proceed with your report.
Glowstick shrugged Er.. Okay. Upon going to the crash site, we discovered the two Maximals had already arrived at that area, a likely situation as that is part of their scope of territory. As more arrived we were outnumbered, but had terrain superiority. By making one of the Maximals a hostage we used her as a bargining chip to force them to retreat and repair their.. drown comrade.
Megatron smirked So even with superior numbers you used the Maximal's weak bonds against them, commendable. Yesss..
Glowstick nodded, then continued Er yes.. Anyway, proceeding into the frozen waters I discovered the Maximals had already found and moved the target, but discovered coolant in the water from a starcraft class engine, G1 era. Following the chemicals in the water I was able to find a female Decepticon slightly larger then the Maximal's whale Orcariner. She was covered in battle damage and ice but I managed to have her lifted with the Leviathan's winces. After that.. is when problems arrived.
Megatron's pleased look turned to a frown Problems? What sort of problems?
Glowstick floated back slightly The Decepticon defrosted in the Leviathan's cargobay, then came online. She went into a psychotic rampage inside of the ship's hanger which I only just got done repairing. Speaking with her went with little avail as she cared nothing of her situation only desiring to get out of the transport even if it meant her own destruction. She appeared to have some sort of.. advanced repair capablity which she used to repair herself and absorb some of the cargo of the ship, I assume that is how she was able to come online.. after kicking the cargobay door off, she transformed into a spacejet and took off at mach 8. Her current wearabouts are unknown though likely assumed destroyed.
Megatron's optics narrowed Well I suppose it would be too arrogant for you to believe one of our ancestors would join forces with us so willingly.. However your failure in this matter is unacceptable.. Find that body-- Megatron then stopped as he was interupted by the Darksyde's computer. On screen.
the computer display in Megatron's room lit up displaying a image of Nemesis in her bird form flying over Predacon territory. Keeping closer tabs on our land I see..Wait.. isn't that Nightmist? I haven't seen that maximal since I crashed on this rock.
Megatron smirked It's always good to be aware of current events Glowstick, particularly those of alien nature..Yesss.. That female..she doesn't give off a Maximal signature.. but I do have a bit of pay back for her. Glowstick, prepare to leave for that area at once. I want you to redeem yourself by capturing that Maximal.
Glowstick raised a tentacle in salute, then started to float out of the room and out of the Darksyde. Another unique hobby.. he then said to himself taking off into the night sky at full speed.

Before Sonar went to sleep he worked on a few things, one of those things would be the injection that Saber would get the next time they met. It seemed that Optimus now knew about Saber's little problem, because of that it threw a wrench in the plan.
Just a minor set back, not a problem. Sonar thought as he worked on Saber's next injection, using the residue he had taken from the Phantom.
He already knew that the serum worked, he just didn't know that side effects of this new batch. Not that it mattered to him, it would be Saber's problem, not his. As he finished the patch, he noticed that the new serum was some what cloudy when the original was crystal clear.
Interesting. He thought putting a cap on the needle before putting it in his subspace.
"Now... time to rest." He said out loud and transformed into his beast mode then proceeded to hand upside down. He was asleep within seconds.

"Hey," he said, "It's Orcariner. How's the progress on the body analysis? I'm available if you guys need some extra help. Over."
He continued walking as he awaited a reply. Coming into the main bridge, he noted that everyone present was busy with a task or two. It seemed like the orca was not the only Maximal who needed to take his mind off of the bad news.

Orcariner walked out of Optimus' quarters and heard the door shut. Opening his radio to both Rhinox as well as Icebreaker, he decided to ask if his assistance was needed.Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"You're welcome, Orcariner," "Let Rhinox know you're on your way. I believe he called for Icebreaker's assistance for a minor situation that arised," "Thank you, Orcariner.""Thank you for your reassurance,"

Icebreaker remained quiet for a moment as he heard Orcariner Er.. Not sure what you could help with..unless you know alot on nano machines.. Rhinox has me on guard of Misty at the moment.. she's now classified as a hazard to the crew and base itself.. he's scanning a sample of the nano machines on the bridge at the moment..Orcariner wrote:"Hey,It's Orcariner.
