I see my character has come up a few times. I'm happy with what people have said and I think the courage stat is an interesting subject. Ironclaw has turned out the way I intended. Ironclaw is not a hero at the moment but he is still a brave bot. He doesn't come into the stupid stat bracket because of his higher int but he has the potential to go a bit crazy. I want him to less restrained than Optimus is, that's one of the big comparisons I'm going for.
Btw: thank you Alak for the complement, your the first person to actually say anything. His character is outside the normal and it might take some adjusting to

I've been meaning to do this for a while and finally did something about it. I decreased Nemesis' skill point by 1 and her strength by 0.5 and put the 1.5 points into courage instead. This puts her courage at a 7.0 which seems more accurate with the character. I had justified her previous courage level with her phobias decreasing her courage in certain situations, but in normal situations her courage would be well above the 5.5 I had it set at. 7 just seems much more balanced.

Name: Darkwind
Allegiance: Predacon
Function: Reconnaissance / surveillance
Alt. Mode: Transmetal black panther
Transmetal feature: Quadruple thrusters that emerge from the legs in beast mode, giving Darkwind a speed boost and limited flight abilities.
Height: 10 feet
Quote: "Know your enemy for an easy defeat."
Strength:7
Intelligence:8
Speed:7
Endurance:6
Rank: N/A
Courage:7
Firepower:7
Skill:8
Weapons & Equipment:
Long range modified camcorder: Used to gain a tactical advantage by recording assignments for later use.
Sniper rifle: Capable of firing different rounds at long range with high accuracy. This weapon has been modified to be loaded with multiple rounds that can be fired at an accelerated rate.
Dual machetes: Darkwind carries dual machetes for close range combat and for sneak attacks. Made of a rare Cybertronian alloy, these weapons can be quite lethal in a fight.
Abilities:
Computer programming: Darkwind's background as a spy required a certain level of competency in computer management.
History and Personality: Rather than being a frontline soldier, Darkwind chooses a more stealthy and lethal approach where he blends in with his surroundings and attacks unseen. A capable marksman, able to hold up his own in a close range fight, Darkwind's perhaps most dangerous talent is his ability to obtain information about his foes. He is certainly not afraid to venture into enemy territory to collect the data he needs where he uses a combination of computer skills and surveillance to gather information.
Darkwind has a very forthcoming personality, easily establishing trust with those around him. He is calm under pressure and can be very persuasive.

Hey everyone, I am a little new to online rpg. If I did anything wrong, just let me know.
I had some trouble thinking of some weapons. Let me know what you think.
Name: Night Terror
Allegiance: Predacon
Function: Adviser, Strategist
Alt. Mode: Vampire Bat
Height: 8'
Quote: "Time to teach these Maximals a lesson in war."
Strength: 5
Intelligence: 9
Speed: 5
Endurance: 6
Rank: [Assigned by the staff]
Courage: 8
Firepower: 6
Skill: 9
48 excluding rank.
Biography
If Predacons have an aristocracy, Night Terror would consider himself among it. He believes himself above the petty jobs of the the basic soldier, and believes he is entitled to better things. If he ever receives an order he thinks is beneath him, he will attempt to pass the job off to someone of lower rank. But if all else fails, he will do it.
He has served the Tripedacus Council, with pride, as an adviser in the past few Stellar Cycles. Night Terror is extremely dedicated to the Predacon cause and to the absolute supremacy of the "Predacon Empire". While he is loyal to the Predacon cause, he is ambitious. He yearns for the day that he will be a member of the Council, but Night Terror is an extremely patient bot. For now he is more than happy to help his superiors, and gain their trust and patronage. In time he will be the one leading the Predacons.
While he is a schemer, Night Terror does have some sense of honor. While he will use any dirty trick to gain victory, he would never attack a fleeing or surrendering enemy. After all if you just out right slag the enemy, you can't gloat.
Night Terror believes the Predacons are destined to rule Cybertron and the galaxy. This belief shows in his actions and conversations. Many would call him arrogant. Night Terror is more than fine with that, it gives him an excuse to be arrogant. "If they believe your arrogant, you might as well act like it."
Weapons
In robot mode he wields a molecular sharpened sword that has the ability to drain the power from anyone impaled by it.
His left optic is equipped can fire concentrated lasers. (Similar to Dinobot.)
Abilities
Night Terror's sensors have been very finely tuned so that it is nigh impossible for any one to sneak up on him. He uses these sensors to map out the battlefield, and he uses this to formulate better strategies.
In beast mode he is able to drain energy from anyone he sinks his fangs into. His sword is also capable of this feature. After draining the energon or mech-fluid from a bot, he use it to restore his power and internal systems.
His sensors have been enhance to provide night vision, as well heat sensors. (Can't be active at the same time.) And thanks to his new form, his beast form is capable of echo-location.
His left optic is capable of several different functions, from emitting some holographic displays, to laser weapon which is mentioned above.
Weaknesses
One of his main weakness (aside from his arrogance) is that because all of his sensors are so finely tuned, enemies can overload his optic and audio mechanisms; temporarily stunning him.
In addition whenever he uses his optic to fire at enemies, the left eye is blind, leaving him open to attack on his left side.
Sample Post
The Pod door opens with a hiss. The bot crawls out, and looks around. He looks at his new from. Black fur and leathery wings. When he learned that he would need to change his form he was some what resentful, but now that he got a good look at it in the moonlight he started to like it.
"Yes this will do nicely." he said as he glanced at his reflection on the reflective surface of the pod.
"Night Terror, seems appropriate. Yes. Ha ha! Night Terror Terrorize!"
Night Terror transformed into his new bot form. His wings folded behind his back, his beast head folded forward. He admired his reflection.
"Very formal. I like it."
He drew his blade and examined it. He sheathed his sword and looked out to the planet.
"Well look at that, a new dominion for the Predacons."

Hm.. Another bat eh? So now we have false vampire bat, ghost bat, and vampire bat.. Alrighty I think it's safe to say I doubt anyone is going to show up as a flying fox or Tube-lipped nectar bat.
Stats seem fine and add up.
Weapons aren't a problem either.
He has alot of sensory options, but I don't see that as much of a problem considering vampire bats naturally have echolocation and use infrared pits like a snake to find soft parts on mammals to suck blood easily, the only mammal to have that ability really.
I suppose the only thing puzzling is his background.. If he believes himself better then a petty soldier.. why is he doing the dirty work of sneaking onto a Maximal ship himself, instead of hiring someone to do it for him? Even if he has superiors, it sounds like he had a high rank in the Predacon military.

I did not realize there were so many bats.
As far as background goes, I was picturing him as adviser. He would absolutely try to pass any job off to some one of lower rank. If he received a direct order though, he would do it. He would grumble and moan about it but he would do it.
I decided to drop the sense of duty to make more sense.
I did edit the bio. Let me know if there is anything else.

A vampy bat, eh? "Bluh, bluh! I vant to suck your mech fluid!"
All right, I'm going to add bats to the off-limits beast mode rule now...
Excellent job with your profile, admiral! I especially like his biography. He's kind of like Dinobot (when it comes to honor), but more loyal to the Predacon cause.
Conversations between Night Terror and Megatron should be interesting. Also, I'm digging his name.
Quite an interesting sword and it fits him well because he's a vampire. How long would it take for it to drain someone to point of losing consciousness? Actually, I suppose that depends on the bot's size... And where does that "energy" go? And for that matter, can you be more specific on what his sword and fangs drain when it comes to bots; Is the "energy" their energon consumption or their mechanical fluids? Or both? I assume the sword can also act like a blade and be a great tool for him in close combat. Great job on his abilities and using his beast mode to your advantage.
Excellent weaknesses!
Good sample post as well; it's precisely how we write/role play. Will he be arriving from a crashed stasis pod since there are no more in orbit after the Vok's attack? Or maybe he will have already been active and is roaming around freely. For now... until Megatron gets his hands on him.

I suppose that might be difficult for him to answer. Specifically, "mech fluid" doesn't have any exact mention as to what it is.. though it may be a type of oil, it's often mentioned as a type of blood or a drink.. but in some cases Energon is also uses as a type of blood. So it's probably Energon for simplicity sake.
Least he's a robot vampire bat.. real ones have to urinate after 2 minutes of feeding, since they engorge themselves with blood.. if they didn't rid themselves the extra fluid they'd be too heavy to fly.. though Vampire bats are also the only bats that can walk, run,or jump on the ground. Either way, I'd say it's probably unlikely he could kill anyone with his feeding habits, but probably put some of the smaller ones into stasis lock after awhile..
For some reason I imagine a weapon like that draining sword being something between a rapier and a hypodermic needle..
Bio seems fine.

Eh, sounds fine to me. I think only way we should allow more cats is if they pick something that is obscure.. like an Ocelot or Sandcat.

Thanks OOP.
As far as the energy draining sword goes, I am not really sure how you would want to handle it. It would make sense that it would take longer for larger bots. It would make sense that he would use that energy to help him restore his own energon reserves or even increase his firepower. I imagine him similar to Tarantulas in the first season when it comes to feeding on someone. "My Systems will adjust."
Would draining someones mech-fluid help him with anything? If not, he probably would anyway for the same creepy reasons Tarantulas did.
I was actually going to ask how you would want to introduce my character. Since his biography had him working for the Tripedacus Council at one time, I not sure how he would have ended up in a Maximal stasis pod. I am open to suggestions.
NaitoKage wrote:

That is exactly what I was picturing as well.

Depending on if he can use it or not, it could. We have a character in the game called Starshadow, she's also a vampire though by altered biology rather then beast mode. She drains energy from victims with fangs to replenish lost energy during battle, effectively allowing her to recharge weapon and internal energy.
So in the case of Night Terror, it could be used to recharge his own systems power either for flight, living, or optic blasts. Though since he isn't throwing lightning bolts all the time, he probably wont need as much energy as Starshadow tends to expend regularly.

I like that idea Naito. I will go ahead and add that to the profile.
Thanks for the help guys. I think he is coming along nicely.

Admiral, I just want to glomp you right now. ;u; *mutters to myself* Yuuuussss I'm not alone!!!
Anyways, how does one introduce a character? There are 2 common options:
1. Ship crashlanding (but he must have a legit reason to "visit" Earth or something else.)
2. His pod already crashed landed and he has been lurming around for quite sometime.

Night Terror sounds like an interesting character. And depending on the situation Sonar might see him as a ally or a threat.
