The Intergalactic Highway

Wintersong stopped with the others, watching the battle as they sat there ad was glad the pain in her chest and burned shoulder had faded to be tolerable. She listened to Optimus and Tigatron, agreeing that the two had done all they could, sometimes the outcome wasn't what you hoped. But turning she looked at Optimus when hearing the alert from Sentinal, ears going back at hearing who it was, "Be safe you two." She said to Tigatron and also refering to Dinobot before taking off after Optimus. But she caught up in no time though noticed Optimus was already growing tired. The fight had with Megatron had taken it's toll on Primal.

"Optimus I'm going ahead, if I find Nemisis I'll help keep her at bay." She told the gorilla before growling and forcing her body faster to get ahead of Primal and Frilla. Both had done enough for the time being and would need the extra time t recover, while they did Nemisis needed a distraction. Narrowing her amber eyes the tigeress drew closer tot he Axalon and made herself known, "Nemisis!" She called, stopping and looking around. Hopefully she'd be easy spot.

"We did our best Optimus, the fact we lived I think is victory enough." Frilla replied watching the fight start between Dinobot and Venetrix. But her attention was caught by the alert from Sentinal and she hurried to follow the two larger transformers, resorting to bipedal running then using all fours managing to keep up. Hearing Wintersong however the tigeress didn't seem to give them a chance to protest of her going ahead. The lizard only hoped Nemisis' smaller size would help for an easier fight.

Feralnight only nodded, "I doubt it Rattrap." She said, shifting her wings a bit before looking at the monitor. This time she decided to remain in the Nomad and found a seat and sat down. What more could happen today that could make this any worse?

Cheetor won a fist fight?

Orcariner could not help but grin at the sight of Blackarachnia running away from the much younger transformer. While he had a powerful urge to tell Optimus of this story, the orca figured that it was best told through the words of Cheetor. Should the leader show signs of doubt, the rest of the team could confirm the outcome assuming the story is not exaggerated too much.

"Great job, spots!" he cheered for the scout, "Way to teach her a thing or two!"

Turning back to the new Maximal descending upon them, Orcariner took a bow.

"We are grateful for your actions today. Fighting the Predacons are never an easy task, and any help is much appreciated and honored."

"Yes, but there is another..ug.. We'll need to get Cheetor's locking chip and get it back inside of him. As for oweing us, I think we also owe you our own."

Airazor smiled and watched the Rhino move towards the pod, but said nothing in response. She wasn't sure what was going on, or who cheetor was. Likely a friend of theirs she assumed. In fact, she didn't even know what a locking chip even was. While she would like to help, she couldn't make heads or tails of the situation so far. This world was strange and very alien to her. It seems as if she has much to learn.

"We are grateful for your actions today. Fighting the Predacons are never an easy task, and any help is much appreciated and honored."

"My pleasure. I may need an instruction manual for this war though, I can't make any sense of it so far!" One thing that was clear to her, was that both Maximals were concerned with their comrade. At least she had fallen into the hands of a team who cared for each other. She had many other questions however, why they were here, who they were fighting against, what this world was and even how she managed to be here was all still a mystery to her. The Orca made it sound as if the battle was won, so perhaps she would be able to get answers soon.

((I think the biggest challenge with Airazor is going to be making-up one-liners which are as terrible as the ones she uses in the show. XD It'll definitely be a challenge!))

Orcariner moved towards the stasis pod and retrieved the chip, raising it in the air so that Cheetor could see it. Turning his attention back to Airazor, he tried his best to explain the situation.

"A criminal on Cybertron who took up the name Megatron stole something valuable. His team also high-jacked a transwarp-capable vessel and left the system. The Axalon was the nearest ship with similar capabilities so we were re-assigned to pursue. Both ships made a blind jump and crashed on this unknown planet. I was separated from the others, but by the time I rendezvoused with the Maximals it appeared that a small scaled war broke out between the two factions. Our leader is the ship captain now known as Optimus Primal. I'm sure he can provide a better story with more specifics than I can."

(ooc: Err.. I'm a bit confuzzled by what's going on. It's been over a week, and three pages worth of posts since I made my last one, mostly due to us finally moving into the house and we've been busy painting, getting stuff in place, etc. But from what I recall, Nemesis had not attacked the Maximal base yet at the time I stopped posting. In fact the final words of the post was:

Upon locating an entrance to the storage unit, she immediately transformed to robot form while clutching her other sai in her hand. Hopefully the force that would be created when the explosives in the sai ignited would be enough to open the door for her..

In fact I asked the actions of those posts were held off for a bit, due to not remembering when Sentinel came into play (I hate to say it, but the first half of season 1 of BW was the worst of the entire run of the show, so I did not re-watch a lot of those episodes since I first got the dvd set and watched BW for the first time back in.. 2004 was it? Thus a lot of the initial plots are kinda fuzzy to me, since it was the later parts of season 1, and of course season 2 and 3, that really drew me in)

After consulting with someone and realizing Sentinel would be covering more than just the Axalon portion itself, and considering I wanted to have Nemesis break into a separate storage facility NK informed me existed in this rpg so I could set certain events into motion, I became a busy beaver with rl stuff along with not having internet hookup (merely a droid phone, which is not ideal for posting a longer post) for a little while. Now that we are actually moved into the house (just doing some repairs and such, along with unpacking, I should have a bit more time again. But I'm at a bit of a loss on how to continue from here, since others already responded to the post I asked to be held off on. Suggestions are welcome. Either I can just go with it and have a little fun with it, or I can change my approach a bit now that I know these little facts I wasn't aware of initially.

Sorry for ranting. Lack of sleep at the end of pregnancy will do that!

(( OOC: No worries, Phoenix. We'll figure this out. Now, I've been confused about the location of Nightmist's body. I don't remember what was said about where it was stored (if anything was specifically said at all; haven't had the time to read back in 3rd OC episode to make sure, but I kind of don't remember reading anything...). And when you brought it up in your last post, NK didn't exactly acknowledge that it was in a storage unit separate from the Axalon. All he explained in his post was the Axalon's internal autoguns that Sentinel used. Therefore, I assumed Nightmist's body was still stored inside the Axalon somewhere. Now, even if we say that Nightmist's body was stored in a separate facility detached from the Axalon, I have to assume that the Maximals would not leave it unsecured. The fact that her body is a "biohazard" and that they don't want anyone else accidentally being contaminated by it, storing it away from the base, I don't think they'd want anyone else tampering with it without proper authorization; and that would probably only include Optimus, Rhinox, Orcariner and Icebreaker. So, if this unit is secured, Sentinel must have a connection to it, which would detect Nemesis' signature (especially since she transformed), and the explosion she used to bypass any authorization codes that would've been needed to open it. This would alert Sentinel and so forth. If this unit isn't guarded by any autoguns, then I can edit my post and delete them from firinig at Nemesis. But I still think her presense within scanner range would set off Sentinel and warn the Maximals about her intrusion and thus have them move their skidplates back to base.

I know you have things you want set in motion, but I didn't think you'd pick this episode to start doing them. My apologies. Whether Sentinel detects Nemesis or not, I was going to have OP's team report back to the base reguardless (why hang around and watch Dinobot and Venatrix play when most of them need repairs?), so they'd find her there anyway. Personally, I wouldn't mind a little battle there, but I guess the ball is in your court. Since this is something specific you would like to accomplish, tell us what you need or don't need, so that I can direct the Maximals accordingly and give you the opportunity you wish for your agenda. Again, I apologize for the confusion. Or at least some of it. I can alwas edit my post (and the others' following mine) and re-coordinate things to slow them down for you if you need time before Nemesis is interrupted. ))

(ooc: The point in question was whether or not my previous posts actually took place (I asked for them to be disregarded for the time being), also the fact Nemesis did not break into the base yet, explosives or otherwise. NK and I mostly talk on msn, since he somehow manages to find the time to keep up with things I tend to ask him if I'm confused about what's going on. My schedule has been so out of whack, it's been very difficult to keep up with a lot of the little details. And some of the not-so-little ones too. Essentially what I wanted to do was set the wheels in motion so that I can bring the new Maximal in during the next episode or so, with the house-buying stuff behind me and all, since having a single character only on one side doesn't quite bring the 'completeness' I wanted. It's fun being bad, but being good has its perks too. Regardless, I'll make a quick post..)

As Nemesis approached what had appeared as a separate complex from the air, her weapon ready in her hand but not yet activated, she was startled by the sudden appearance of shots being fired at her. Barely avoiding the barrage of shots, she quickly dodged behind a nearby wall for shelter until she could identify where the shots were coming from. She wrapped her wings around herself like a cape, realizing that the base had a security system in place due to the lack of Maximal signatures present during her initial scan. Cursing her scanners for failing to pick up the A.I. that was now shooting at her, the Predacon decided to undergo an overhaul of her systems later on to rid her of whatever glitch had caused it, yet for the time being she had more pressing concerns..

A quick survey of the area revealed some mounted weapons on the base itself, capable of repelling aerial and ground attacks alike. These particular guns did not appear to be a threat when entering the building Nemesis wanted to get to. A pair of similar weapons had popped out of the ground as well, appearing to be motion tracking weapons, and of course these guns were in the perfect view of the door.

Well wasn't that just Prime..

Nemesis looked down at the sai in her hand, then at the ground making up the short distance between her and the sentry-gun.

This was going to hurt..

In a move that would appear suicidal to anyone not knowing her, and to a few that did know her as well, the female suddenly sprinted out from her hiding spot and ran directly at the sentry-gun. She made a series of turns and random jump, attempting to use her superior agility to avoid as many shots as she could, but even so a few of the barrage of shots coming her way impacted her. Screaming as the shots pierced her armor on the chest, hip, and left hand, Nemesis managed to remain on her feet for a couple of seconds before another barrage of shots penetrated both her legs just above the knees. With a painful grunt she started collapsing, but not before activating the explosives in the sai and hurling it at the sentry-gun. Her weapon slammed into the base of the gun just as the female collapsed face down on the ground. Whimpering, she covered herself as best she could, while the sentry-gun kept firing at her for a couple of seconds.

Those seconds felt like an eternity, but fortunately for her the wings shielded her from the worst of it. Then there was a brief moment of complete silence, just before the exploding sai sent pieces of the sentry-gun flying everywhere. Groaning, Nemesis finally peaked out from underneath her wing shelter, watching the destruction she had just caused.

Not wasting a second, she hauled herself over to the remnants of the Maximal weapon, trying to ignore the intense pain burning in her. Most her her body was covered in shimmering wounds that would require repairs, making the female seek out the closest source of materials she had available to her.. The sentry-gun. She grabbed a hold of the leftover base of it, letting her nanobots take over from here. They quickly cut into action, dismantling the destroyed weapon and using it as raw-materials to make the necessary repairs. A few seconds later, Nemesis was able to stand up, albeit unsteady. She was still wounded, bleeding, but managed to stagger to the door she had been aiming for earlier while the repairs continued.

"My turn to play, Maximals," she whimpered, as she placed her bleeding hand that was missing a couple of digits still on the locking mechanism of the door. Within moments the lock too began shimmering..

"It... was nothing reall-yah!" Cheetor quickly converted to beast mode to stop the energon surges. He'd forgotten about his missing locking chip.

Shaking his head, he spoke again.

"Just showing her she isn't the only one who can hit."

Looking over to three Maximals by the open stasis pod, Cheetor saw Airazor for the first time, and ran over as fast as he could before skidding to a halt just in front of the ditch.

"Hey, bud 'bot. That flight mode is ultra gear! I'm Cheetor. What's your name?"

"Well, you did show her." She chuckled.

Whitegrazer followed the others to Airazor and greeted her, "Hello! I'm Whitegrazer. I'm glad to see you that you are all right."

She glanced at Rhinox with a smile and also from what she could hear Cheetor had a part too so Whitegrazer gave them both a smile then back to Airazor, glad that the Maximal was able to see the world around her despite the war setback.

Rhinox watched Orcariner and the others, then nodded in agreement We couldn't of done it without you Cheetor or any of you for that matter, But now I think we should get out of here before anymore trouble comes this way.

As Glowstick came towards her he deactivated his sword, then sighed So you refuse to follow the agreement? Fine.. then I wont follow my end either.. he then put the sword on his back, one side of his tentacles coiled together looking like a rather large arm with the ends forming fingers folded into a fist, he the clubbed her over the head.


You wish to spend your time in the wild, very well..I'll just leave you on this island, with no means of escape. he then activated his comlink Cecaelia, bring out Starshadow's armor from the living quarters to swap out with the broken amphibious armor.. he then floated away to the Leviathan Beast mode..Activate internal repairs.. he then said to himself transforming to his squid mode while floating inside. He was glad he didn't have to support his own body weight currently, with the damage to his torso it would of been harder for him to walk rather then float around.

Listening, Airazor tried to make sense of everything which he said. In the end, while it had answered a lot of her questions, it brought about more as well. None of the names he mentioned, even Cybertron, registered in her memory. While sure that she would meet them all in time, for now, she was almost as lost as before. Not wanting to upset her new found friend, she decided to just play it off as if everything made perfect sense to her. She would figure everything out on her own, and she preferred it that way as well. "You have my thanks. Perhaps when I meet Optimus, he can tell me more."

As she finished speaking, another group approached them. One of them was a young male who had the appearance of a cat. That one was probably cheetor, she thought. The other was a female who spoke up first to introduce herself. "Hello! I'm Whitegrazer. I'm glad to see you that you are all right."

"My name's Airazor." She said with a smile and nod. It was reassuring to know that there were other females on the team. "I must admit, I'm interested to meet the whole circus."

Tigatron gave Wintersong a smile with a nod. "And you," he said softly after the tigeress had already departed. The white and black cat shifted his weight off of his injured front leg by slightly lifting it off of the ground, balancing the rest on his other three legs while he sat there, watchful of his and Dinobot's surroundings as the day slowly grew darker into the early evening.

"Optimus I'm going ahead, if I find Nemisis I'll help keep her at bay."

"Wintersong, wait!" the gorilla called after her but she kept going. He'd rather them stay together if and when they'd confront Nemesis because she would be a lot to handle for just one bot. At least it appeared that Wintersong's beast mode had done a decent job of repairing many of her wounds. Primal's shoulder and foot that had been grazed in robot mode by Megatron felt good enough now, but he knew he would need the CR at some point for the head injury he sustained in robot mode; after all, his vision had been severely impaired by Megatron's blow. Other than that and his back, he was feeling the effects of exhaustion but that was almost normal to him these days. Not too bad all things considered.

Optimus glanced at Frilla by his side and nodded to her. It was a positive way of looking at it. While he had speed in robot mode, well, in flight, he wasn't the fastest in beast mode to begin with let alone growing tired, so he certainly wasn't able to keep up with Wintersong when she bolted ahead. He could only hope she wouldn't do anything dangerous with Nemesis. The tigeress seemed to have a habbit of jumping into dire situations prematurely and without plans. All he could do was push himself forward and focus on getting to the Axalon.

"I doubt it Rattrap."

"Well, dat's very reassuring, Feral," Rattrap said with sarcasm. "Where's yer optimism, eh?" He grew quiet while he navigated through the stormy weather. He thought about the debriefing that was inevitable, although Icebreaker would have more information than he would. And he thought about just getting back to the base and sleeping comfortably in his quarters. Ah, sleep. The good ol' "z's."

Ears twitching slightly as the sentry guns were going off the tigeress turned towards the sounds and started towards them before the explosion went off, Wintersong crouching by reflex. Well someone was here and certainly wasn't a friendly visitor. Moving forward, still slightly close to the ground she peeked around a few boulders to see the area where the explosion had come from and sure enough someone was there. Nemisis seemed to have taken damage despite the nano technology she used but watching closer Wintersong found it a bit creepy what she saw. What had once been the sentry gun was now being used to repair something on the Decepticon turned Predacon.

Pushing back the slight nervousness she was beginning to feel the tigeress leaped from her hiding spot with a growl, "Hey bird brain!" She snapped, glaring at Nemisis and trying to sound menacing, which she was probably failing at terribly. "Pred base is back that way, but if you've lost your way I'll gladly point you in the right direction." She jerked her head to indicate the opposite way while also hoping Nemisis would rather leave then risk more Maximals coming.

((Tsk tsk tsk..poor Star...she deserves it ))

After being clubbed on the head, Starshadow blacked out. She knew she was going to die in this planet anyway. At least she didn't need to avenge her dead comrades if she died.
