Return of the Botcon goers!

Now that I'm thinking back again... the time spent at Hacker's was great fun, and her parents were awesome!

Charade giving me, Sinead and Ehron a little tour of Lexington was wonderful! ^_^

And the giant timer showing the countdown to the movie's release made me tingle. I can't wait to see it!

Anyway, I've got some more sleeping to catch up on. I'm still experiencing what Miss Special calls 'BotCon Hangover' ^_^;

Plus, >_> trying to sleep on the floor of the O'Hare airport in Chicago while a lightning storm rages outside, delaying all flights doesn't help either... ^_^;;;

You were there too? RATS! We could've talked through the night instead of trying unsuccessfully to sleep. Could've shared a fanfic in the making. Then again, O'Hare is a HUGE airport...

Woooow it sounds like ya'll had quite the adventure!

I'm glad everyone made it home safely. * gives great big hugs*

I would have liked to have been there, but I shall have to content myself with the awesome BWint Gathering I attended this year. I do wish Botcon would hurry up and be in Minneapolis again... >_>

So...time for me to finish my report up.

Friday,

Get up and go, go, go. We hurried down to the convention center from Hacker's house. From there we went to the convention center and made it just in time for the first BW VA panel.

The Panel was a blast, with the actors (save Scott) being at their first such just TF panel they went from shy to down right at home.

Next came the Toy Design Panel, which was intiresting in we got to see the design process of toys. (And I love the Shopping cart of Doom!)

After that was a Furman panel which he filled us in on how excited he is for his various projects. I was rather happy as he said at least Scourge and Cyc would be showing up soon and I've always had fun with those guys.

I think sometime after that was lunch followed by the opening of the Dealer Room. (Thank gum drops that I saw all the INt folks closes as I was http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v487/ ... he%20line. (Okay actually after about five minutes behind me had a huge line to.)

Anyway, Dealer rooms always take my breath away and I had manged to find most of my want list (The origonal Predacons, Cyclonus, and Scourge) right away as well as some fun extras. IDW's Nightbeat, BW: The Gathering 1-4 and a Trade Paperback Gathering with the origonal Beast Wars cast on it for signing purposes.)

I then went and got autographs, Blu and Richard loved Hacker's artwork and mentioned how awesome it was and how glad they were for the copy they had recieved. I went in a funny order and was way to nervous to talk much but they were all super nice. (ALthough Pauline signed over Scott's signature partially so she wouldn't sign on Airrazor XD the effect looks cool since it's two diffirent pen colors.) I kicked myself for leaving my toys I had for folks to sign at home.

After that, I believe was the begining of the dinner idea. Someone (I think Dragonsflayme but I'm probably wrong.) asked the VAs to dinner and we managed to rope Ben Yee into coming to. Anyway, Scott and Richard accepted (and Blu but he got walayed by some family members he hadn't seen in a f ew years so it ended up being just Scott and Richard.) Anyway, Beastbot and I rode over to the Crackerbarell with Ben Yee and the three of us talked toys which was fun. At dinner I sat by Scott and watched him manage to not solve one of those little brainteaser games. As we all grew increasingly hungry.

After dinner came photos and extensive gabbing as Richard and Scott found out just how much a 10 year old tv show meant to us. (Richard spent the rest of the weekend commenting how amazing that night was when I saw him.) I have photos to send to all sorts of folks and other stuff to.

After that came the Transformer's movie(the 86 one) the remastering added a lot of color and definition and it was a lot of fun to watch. Unfortunatly do to a mix up, Outsyder, Stel, and I then were locked out of the hotel. X_X I ended up not sleeping as we waited till morning and buying 4 20 oz Dew's to use the next day.

End of Friday

Saturday was Beastbot and my panel day we watched every panel they had that day. First up was a cartoon creation panel where we got all sorts of cool info about Transformer's Cybertron that could have been, next was the IDW panel where we learned lots of stuff, the next few One-shots, that they'll be making a prequel to the movie next year, that they are hoping to do another BW mini, and all sorts of other cool info. After that Hasbro showed off the toys they'll be having up until the movie. THis was THE PANEL of the weekend, as the classic line will be awesome, as will Alt Jaguar the Jaguar, Alt Rumble, and the last few classic toys. We also were treated to a small glimpse of the TF movie fiml site.

The second BW VA panel where Scott didn't recognize our painted BW Int members for a minute then freaked out when he did. That was a lot of fun.
Pauline, was a lot more comfortable in this one and all the VAs made sure to steal time so Scott didn't hog it all.

THe last panel I saw that day was the Club Roundtable, which was very cool info wise as we were given some fun hints into what the next club exclusive toy might be (It's sounding like Pre-BW Airrazor

) We were also told that the where and when of next year's Botcon would be announced.

After that I milled around, ate something, and bought some more toys. (I'm a toy fiend I can't help it.) During this time I found out that the rooms got messed up. (I was caught in the middle of a personality conflict

but that's another story and one that isn't mine to tell.)

Anyway, the Dinner happened after that and was a ton of fun. I played poker for a bit then got some dinner and found Crab, Saph, Hacker, VampieBA, Miss Special, and most everyone else and convinced them that it was Bingo time. We all played Bingo till it was time for the awards. Unfortunatly, Dragonsflayme didn't win despite her AWESOME Tigatron piece but apparently she got an interview with I think Aaron Archer so well, that's a way better prize anyway.

After that they announced the next Botcon and we all immedietly started trying to figure out how to get us all there. Then we parted and went to sleep :p

Sunday was tough, it was a lot of fun and I bought yet more stuff X_X (Over the weekend I filled half of the Van Hacker was driving's trunk.) Anyway, that day I mostly just found and unfound various BW Int folks and hung around. We slowly had to say good-bye to everyone

Until the convention closed for good and we had to head back to Hacker's house, first stopping for some good ol KFC. >: )

At Hacker's was an amazing time, I got to really talk to most of the folks listen to a HILARIOUS fic Saphirre wrote and in general just have fun. We watched V for Vendetta then had to say good-bye to Zucca, Sinead, and Aaron Sinead's friend. Then I said good-bye and goodnights as my flight out was at 6 am the next morning. Meaning I had to get to the airport by 5. X_X WAY TO EARLY. So after almost crying while saying good-bye to all the awesome people I had met I went to bed for a little while before Hacker woke me up and we had to go.

Anyway I wanted to thank Hacker, Saphirre, Sinead, Dragonsflayme, Miss Special, Beastbot, Crab, Sinead, and everyone else I had a great time meeting you all and can't wait to (hopefully) see you all in 07!

awww. *hugs Baron* I still feel bad for that mix up friday night. I was so out of it and before I knew what was going on it was already 8 in the morning.

Thanks for being such an amazing sport about the whole thing though. You deserve a medal

It was an honor meeting you and I hope that we can meet up again at the next botcon, hopefully without all of the mess this time around.

And I'll be burning the videos onto a disk and uploading them at the college library in a couple of hours. At least, I intend to. The computers there tend to be pretty filled up during that time. >_>;
