*cough* On behalf of Megatron, I'd like to add,
"Silence, fleshlings, before I turn YOU in to fuel!"

Tbh, I've sort of got a little bunny I'm working on right now where Megs, Inferno, and Rampage are stuck in the US during the 80's when their ancestors were around. I've spun it so that Megatron has decided not to attract the attention of either faction right away because while the Predacons are certainly powerful, their size versus that of their ancestors makes him slightly more vulnerable. They are all there simultaneously though, just not in the same state at the same time... Anyways, where I'm going with that is this:
What about G1-timeline-ish, the 'Bots and 'Cons are off doing their own thing, but we're just kind of, you know, not really involved. I get that they have huge battles and stuff going on, but I mean, there had to be areas on G1 Earth that didn't always see them close up. It still gives us some excuse to be fangirls/boys, and we can argue that toys and cartoons have been created based off the awesome "real life" TFs of that universe. You don't really have to know much about G1 other than there's stuff going on in other parts of the planet, and we can always read up a little extra on current events of that universe before we go ahead so we can reference when necessary. They wouldn't have to be involved other than the odd cameo if we feel that they'd have a reason to investigate us, and it also gives the Beast Warriors a plot device to work with - they'd either be trying to avoid attention to protect the timeline and/or themselves, or they'd be trying to *get* attention to either have help getting home or in the Predacons' case, gain tech and power.
How's that for a bit of a compromise?
