Great question, however I really cannot decide. Both are very honorable. If we could choose any character, I would choose Optimus Primal. I admire Optimus the most out of all the bots.

Comparing Silverbolt to Dinobot based solely on "Honor" itself is kinda iffy, since you can't take a base definition of "Honor", slap it to both characters and then start judging them. Why? Because the two characters are radically different in almost every way and follow different concepts and notions of honor.

Lest we forget, Dinobot's honor "is Predacon Honor" which by itself automatically places Dinobot in a completely different category from Silverbolt, who is Maximal to the core and is the stereotypical "Knight in shining armor".

However, my vote will be Dinobot, why?

As a Predacon, Dinobot will naturally have tendencies that most Maximals wouldn't even dream about. For instance: Brutally taking command by way of combat, rather than the Maximal's democratic approach of electing command. Or manipulating events so an outcome more favorable to oneself occurs, rather than being a team player. And yet with this, he was still a mostly loyal follower of Optimus Primal...just as Silverbolt was a mostly loyal follower of Optimus Primal who also betrayed his comrades for purely selfish reasons.

The fact that Dinobot was never reprogrammed and yet was able to successfully keep his more-evil Predacon tendencies in check (note, in check, not just abruptly switch to a Maximal personality) for over two seasons is what easily swings the vote over to the Irascible Raptor as opposed to the fully Maximal Bird-Dog.

...However this thread is now moot as we all should realize that Inferno is clearly the most honorable character of them all. If you don't agree you can BBBBUUUURRRRRNNNNNNN.

Inferno? Honor?! His queen shall surely punish him for that!

Inferno no doubt was a completely loyal Pred to the Royalty. Royalty with a capital R.

Then again when it comes to Silverbolt, well... he was reprogrammed into a Predacon shortly after he came out of the stasis pod, while his security protocols were offline or whatever. Though I guess somehow his Maximal side won out. However I'm not really sure if that has anything to do with honor, or just personality.

He was never reprogrammed, Megatron didn't have the time to do a full-blown personality change. For reprogramming the protoform has to still be within the stasis pod.

All he was able to do was change their activation code to the Predacon one, thus convincing them they WERE Predacons when the Pred code worked for them. Meaning yes, Quickstrike is also a Maximal.

Was a Maximal. Just because his code wasn't overridden by Megatron forcefully doesn't mean that he can't switch sides himself. For example, Dinobot, Rattrap, and Blackarachnia switched allegiances voluntarily.

Analogy: I'm a US citizen but if I wanted to, I could become Canadian.

I never said they could never ever ever switch sides. He was a Maximal by origin and without any reprogramming. Plain and simple. Dinobot is still a Predacon despite working with the Maximals. The same applies to Quickstrike.

^ I never said you did. Re-programing is something that is brought up more than once in the show. If several characters can do it willingly, so can Quickstrike...whether it be on or off screen.

Also, going by activation codes, Dinobot's allegiance lies with the Maximals (whether or not he finally admitted it by the time he died is up for debate). Quickstrike used the "Terrorize" activation code more than one episode, so it's evident that he changed his programing to that of a Predacon. His faction is no different than that of Blackarachnia or Inferno's. If you don't think that those two were "legit" Predacons, then that's up to you. I personally view Dinobot as a Maximal, regardless of his history. I also view Blackarachnia as a Maximal, and I see Quickstrike as a Predacon. Quickstrike only stands out because he'll most likely be the only one of the three to proudly advocate his new faction.

As much as I dislike Silverbolt, he'd be more honorable.

Dinobot has a twisted self serving sense of honor, while Silverbolt sticks more to the tried and true historically accurate form of honor.

Silverbolt would never back down even if it means the end of him in reality, he wouldn't turn traitor to serve his own primal desire for winning, like Dinobot.

>_>

:looks around:

I think Dinobot. :3

Dinobot was honorable defintiely, whereas Silverbolt's jealousy and possessiveness towards Black Arachnia were shockingly dark. ;_;

...Jetstorm peaking through? :'D (No, honestly, I like Jetstorm better as a separate character... T_T I liked him...)

There were moments when Silverbolt seemed ready to even hurt in order to shut another person up (Rattrap, lol, that darn rat.) about BA. ;_; And that is NOT honorable.

Dinobot got in fights, almost killed whoever, yelled, wanted to take leaderhip, but it ALL fit into his on Code of Honor. Silverbolt SAID things, and he WAS noble, but those dark moments knocked him down a peg or two in my book.

And good thing too. -_- Otherwise, he wouldn't be an interesting character at all. :3

I always adored Dinobot.

Silverbolt is a hero and he has always been good from the beginning.
Dinobot had a much harder time and I guess that makes him even more honorable in my eyes. He had to stand up against his fellow comrades and he had to fit into maximal society as a Predacon.
He is a warrior and no peaceful maximal, yet he has a sense of honour and is because of that no predacon.

he is a hero, and although I like Silverbolt very much, I prefer the attractive Velociraptor I fell in love with

please excuse my bad english, but I come from Luxembourg and english is my fourth language.
