Favorite BW Pairings/couples

I'm not the only one. But writing a fic where the pairing works and they are in character is very complicated because we know a lot about Dinobot but not much about Airazor because her lack of screentime.

I had started one a way's back and posted it on ff.net. I haven't gone back to it in years... but it was more of a one sided quiet love. I had it as Dinobot saw her as another warrior in the fray, someone who understood things.

But I think I had him keep it to himself (emotions = weakness to DB in this)

Yeah. I wish he'd be more open about things.
I mean in the fic I wrote about him he didn't admit he really cared about the person he was told to take care of until the final chapter. And that was AFTER Cheetor and some of the others told him to stop being an idiot.

I guess this is why I'm never really happy seeing DB in love or admitting love or being sappy in these OC stories.

Too OOC for me. If you're going to write stuff, keep it canon.. you want to add OC's into the fray, it can be done, if you do it well and keep everyone their snarky, nasty, I want to kill you bugger off selves.

None of these proclamations, they just aren't canon. If you're (The universal you) writing a story that you specifically KNOW it's terrible and OOC than say so... so people like me can avoid them

I don't know about that. "Bodyguard" was pretty popular and I was told I kept him in character for the msot part but I tihnk I might have drifted from that a few times.
and NO he did not fall in love with her. They just have a father/daughter thing going on. I can't really see Dinobot falling inlove with Yume.
Lately I haven't done much pairing related work. Even most of my OCs aren't paired with anymore.

Unfortunately I haven't read fanfiction really anymore that isn't on an LJ community for any fandom. I find LJ comm's are much better than ff.net simply because there are less OC's...

I just..have this personal distaste for them (this isn't me bashing them, just stating my thoughts) because they do distract from the original characters, which is why I'm there to read things in the first place.

I guess this is another reason I fall out of fandom's so easily, I find less and less fics or art worth my time -_-

Again, not dissing anyone, I'm simply stating I just don't read fics anymore, I don't want this turning into a hate war here.

I only make OCS for Transformers because there isn't enough female characters.
My Ocs are kind of strange anyway....

I've been into tfs for about two years now. The only thing I don't like is the boring slash pairings or should i say slash in general. No offense but DO NOT WANT!

So I intend to write my own books.

Too bad I can't write anything about car-robots because I'll get sued and i really want to write an original story with transformers type bots.

I enjoy any type of fics. Slash or het. Doesn't bother me, so long as it's canon only.

It's each person's preference to what they're comfortable reading. If you don't like slash, nobodies going to tie you up and make you read it.

I try to work my OCs into back stories for the characters so that if, and when, I do work them in to current G1/BW fics, I'm able to keep the characters in character as much as possible while still having them have some sort of relationship

Then again, I play with Rampage and Depth Charge, so that's already illogical lol Bwhahahaaa

I think that's neat, and okay. Working someone into a backstory for the purpose of helping to shape how the Canon character is currently is fine with me.

It help add's depth to a backstory that no one really knows. But it has to be done carefully as flashbacks can become too angst ridden and lose the plot within all the mini plots...you know?

But I've read some amazing flashbacks in many fandoms, so I know there's still hope ^^

hehehe like starscream's sister Silv.
I introduced her in a Megatron flashback. She repaired him after Starscream tried to kill him but that's about the only encounter they had until the present when she helped them look for Starscream's creators lab.
*shrug* meh...

I'm just saying. Sometimes I'm given no warning of what's in a fic until I'm reading and then i can't unread what i just read. I wish more people would give warnings.

Ah, see, my fanfics - I write the back story. The back stories are my fics, with limited to no interruption of flashbacks

One of the things I've done is write the beginning of the Protoform X story, and then my second series picks up on Omicron with Depth Charge as the main focus. My final series (when I get to it) will be set in BW, season 3 to be exact, and ties everything in together....

Fics like this can work, but I also enjoy a good, well-written OC who gets thrown into the BW era that isn't a Mary Sue

(Note: I make no claim that my characters don't have some tendencies towards Mary Sueism, but at least I try to write them with as few as possible. But considering you have a hijink-based cartoon, some nonsense is good every once in a while)

Oh Gods, my first fics were all BW related, and I know they were sue crap, I make no bones about it. I still write a few crappy things, but otherwise I've learned and grown and anytime I want to include an original character, I save it for rp's and that's it.

In an RP, it's suppose to be fun, dramatic and vengeful and hateful/spiteful (to me)

But in a story I try now, to stick to canon.

But like I said earlier, there are people out there that really CAN make an OC work.

I don't hate on OC makers/writers, because we all know that even creators of some shows out there now are filled with nothing BUT badly created characters...

Which...kinda bites...
