Well, guess what, people?

I finally saw it. JUST came home from it with my dad. Here is our three word review:

Too. Damn. Long.

Man oh man! By the truck scene I was like, uuuugh.

It wasn't a bad movie, don't get me wrong (MUCH better than X Files *shudder*), but there were so many moments when you though, 'Oh, puh-LEEZ!"

For example, I laughed my head off when what's-her-face got thrown out of the window. Not only because of the Joker's line, "Bad choice of words," (lol) but, but....funny! Now, I'm a bit of a psycho too, so I thought her getting hurtled out of a mile high building hilarious. Her unconvincing terror, her faciual expression and dying fish/chicken arms didn't help either. Seriously, I'm laughing just thinking about it.

My friend who was staying with me for a week saw the movie before I did, and she though Heath Ledger was the only actor in the film. I have to say I agree with her. With the exception of Micheal Caine f course. He just rocks.

That Rachel person...was wooden. And to be honest, I don't know what either of the men saw in her.

Speaking of which.....TWO FACE! HOW DID I NOT SEE THAT? With the coin, and the name Harvey and, UGH! *This coming from a girl who doesn't think Batman is a real hero, without going into the philosophical emotional crap at the end*

....Is he actually dead? If he is: HOW could they do that? You can't have a Batman movie movie with Two Face in just a little bit of it!

I'm not going to say much more because...I can't be bothered...but even though these new movies are good, I miss the old Burton style comedy! I also miss the riddler...and I actually prefer George Cloony as Batman. If you ask me, the Batman movies went downhill for me towards the end of Batman and Robin...halfway through even.

I'm going to end this 'review' or whatever with a now-iconic Joker line regarding the style of the new Batman movies (and all live-action movies):

....Why so SERIOUS?!

You stink, Jagna! Just kidding!

Yes, it was a long movie; about two and a half hours. However, no matter when they could've ended it (since there were a few spots they could have ended it earlier), I was looking forward to more Joker and didn't care about sitting there longer.
For example, I laughed my head off when what's-her-face got thrown out of the window. Not only because of the Joker's line, "Bad choice of words," (lol) but, but....funny! Now, I'm a bit of a psycho too, so I thought her getting hurtled out of a mile high building hilarious.
 I laughed at pretty much everything violent and psychotic that the Joker did, with or without a comedic line. But I know it's just a movie and Heath was genius at the role. The pencil part won me over, and that was near the beginning of the film. "Tadaa!" Imagine how I felt through the rest of the film. "More Joker! Put Ledger back on the screen!"
With the exception of Micheal Caine f course. He just rocks.
Of course. ^_^ I'm glad he was chosen to play Alfred. He was perfect.
That Rachel person...was wooden. And to be honest, I don't know what either of the men saw in her.
Wooden? I like that. Personally, I didn't think she was that bad, looks and acting wise. I liked her acting more than Katie Holmes (who played Rachel in Batman Begins), but I don't really like Katie at all so Maggie already had a plus there.
....Is he actually dead? If he is: HOW could they do that? You can't have a Batman movie movie with Two Face in just a little bit of it!
XD I don't think anyone really knows for sure. I say he was still alive but just about everyone else tells me he's dead. Pfff. In any case, whether Harvey's back in the next movie or not, I think they developed his character really well in TDK. But because so much focus was already on him and the Joker, I have a feeling more focus will be on the Penguin and the Riddler in the next one, so there might not be enough room for Two-Face. :?
but even though these new movies are good, I miss the old Burton style comedy!
I agree, Jagna. But I can't really compare Nolan's movies with Burton's or Schumacher's because they're three completely different directors. I liked Burton's because they were still along the darker side of Batman and his style is entertaining. I always thought Keaton was a decent Batman as well. Schumacher's movies were... too different and off the wall, and too many colors (what was with all the black lights and glowing paint?). There was too much going on with too many characters (particuarly in Batman & Robin). And I prefer Batman NOT having a sidekick. XD Nolan's movies follow the comics much closer, which is where Batman began. His movies are darker, I think, because they're more realistic. He has really stayed true to Batman's roots and has shown very well why Batman and Bruce are the way they are and why they're doing what they're doing.
I also miss the riddler...
Well, if Johnny Depp's chosen for the role, we may be pleasantly surprised. I liked Jim Carrey's Riddler but I'm interested in seeing how well Depp can pull it off.
and I actually prefer George Cloony as Batman.
Really? I couldn't take him seriously in Batman & Robin. His head bobbled too much and he smiled too often. Batman isn't that happy. While I think Clooney's acting is okay (I really want to see Michael Clayton because I hear his performance is outstanding) I just don't think he would've been the right choice for the newer Batman movies. He isn't "dark" enough for me, mentally and emotionally, and that's what Batman needs. Once I got used to Bale (because I hadn't seen him anything until I saw Batman Begins), I thought he was an excellent choice and acted out the best for both Bruce and Batman. I believe he even read the old Batman comics, so I'd say he put a lot of effort in to the character and it shows.
If you ask me, the Batman movies went downhill for me towards the end of Batman and Robin...halfway through even.
 Really? They crashed for me when Batman Forever came out. Mainly because they didn't keep the same actor for Batman, they introduced Robin, and Schumaker took over the directing. I'm so glad that Nolan picked up the franchise with a whole new movie and sequel that have crushed other summer block busters. And Ledger deserves an Oscar nomination. I love it how these new Batman movies and Ironman have been so different from the previous "super" hero movies. They aren't corny! They're realistic, action packed and have their comedic moments.

 Which brings me another quote from the Joker regarding your review:

"Let's put a smile on that FACE!"
"Well, that's just prime!"
