Well, this is useless now...
Orcariner knew the right shield would not last long. It was rather surprising that his opponent was able to nearly cleave it in half with a single blow considering what the shield was designed for. The orca noted the potential destructive power in his processor. The behemoth before him was highly reminiscent to the Vok clone that he and Steelclaw had teamed up against not long ago. It was an encounter that was held sour in the back of his mind due to the fact that it put the Maximal in a coma for quite some time. Then again, this particular fight was different. Unlike his battle against the Vok, Orcariner was at full strength without having his armor's integrity being compromised by three close quarters fights with similarly sized foes. This time, he did not have one partner, but a group of Maximals who were able to aid him if need be. Needless to say, the titan's confidence drove him to meet Glowstick head on.
Continuing to press the weakening shield against the superior Raver blade, Orcariner simply looked back into the machine's eyes. He did not know where exactly Glowstick was piloting the monster, but the Maximal decided to regard this foe as a separate entity. It was one he would gladly stare into its face and assume it was staring back. Without a doubt, the Predacons would have been keeping tabs on the Maximal team members and their ship probably analyzed their optimal capabilities. If the squid was able to extract this data, or the information from the original stasis pod, Orcariner would have to assume his opponent was his equal. He smiled.NaitoKage wrote: I must commend you, considering how reserved you are with this sort of destructive power! But you really don't have the nature to use it... DO YOU?
"You're right," he replied, "and I thank you for this opportunity."
The top of the blast shield peeled off and dripped to the ground.
"You see, Glowstick. During my entire service in the Beast Wars, I've had to constantly keep myself in check. I had to pull everything back out of the constant fear of doing something I would later regret. What we have here is what I'd like to call my personal window of opportunity. Today, I get to set aside all restraint and pummel a Predacon with everything I have and not worry about the consequences. Thanks." ((OOC: Kudos to anyone who knows where this speech was inspired from.))
With that, Orcariner tossed aside not only the melted shield but his left one, as well. The simultaneous push off the ground with his legs crashed his body into the behemoth. Wrapping both arms around his opponent, Orcariner swiftly shifted himself behind its back and lifted the beast off the ground. With little effort, the orca suplexed Glowstick's warrior over his shoulder and slammed the Predacon machine into the earth. The feeling was disturbingly glorious. Scrambling on top of his opponent, Orcariner tried to recall everything about his ground training back in the Academy. What the giant lacked in marksmanship, he excelled in unarmed combat.
Opponent can only defend his face or his torso, but never both at the same time...
Straight punches bring more power without sacrificing momentum...
His sword is useless if I continue to body him up...
Manipulating shoulder articulation leads to quicker submissions than elbow articulation...
Instead of resisting his movements, follow them so you always stay on top...
Your physique is your advantage; his weapons won't hurt you...
This isn't practice; there are no rules. Don't hold anything back...

Terrorsaur opened his optics as soon as he felt the ground rumble. Either something blew up or a meteor hit the planet. Regardless, the flyer jumped to his feet and immediately launched himself back into the sky. While not necessarily a bad infantry combatant, Terrorsaur preferred to stick to his role as an airborne soldier.
"What happened?" he muttered.
Chaos was everywhere. Rhinox appeared to be engaging the Leviathan, Sonar, and Cecaelia... and seemed to be doing a good job handling all three at the same time. Speaking of the Leviathan, Terrorsaur gawked at its new appearance. The ship seemed to look a lot different as if it had been dismembered. Well, something was missing from it and the pterodactyl simply assumed that Rhinox had something to do with it. Manterror was seen on the edge of the skirmish but Feralnight had been quick to engage him in combat. Terrorsaur looked around for the massive freak that called itself Orcariner. After all, that was the Maximal that he was trying to kill prior to the surprise attack by the fuzor.
"I must still be in stasis..."
Orcariner was flat on the ground wrestling with... himself? Terrorsaur took another look after blinking several times. There were two of them, but one had purple on its body. Shaking his head, the flyer chose to leave them be.
"Really? More clones? I thought this was the Beast Wars, not the Clone Wars."
Lazily looking around for something to do, Terrorsaur noticed movement from the mountains. It was white. It had stripes. It was a cat. It was a big cat. The Predacon's optics widened at the sight. Turning on his radio, he reported his finding.
"Heads up! They've got reinforcements coming!"
He squinted in Tigatron's general direction and saw that there were two more individuals not far behind. Turning on his afterburners, Terrorsaur jetted in their direction. The battle was hard enough, but with three more enemies entering the fray, it would be downright impossible to leave without severe casualties. Hopefully, the pterodactyl would be able to intercept these Maximals before they reached the Axalon.
