[Wintersong]

Wintersong's ears perked forward at the sound and sheturned in time enough to see something or someone crash into the river. When Icebreaker and Orcariner said ti was Valkyrie then ehaded that way she was on full alert. The predacons could be anywhere and if at all attack while they were weakened. Hurrying along the river after them the tigeres searched around carefully in the trees and the skies, looking for any indications of which predacon could have shot the bird down like that.

I guess that settles what we're doing next!

Cheetor felt vindicated, but there wasn't time to ponder the fact, and even he knew how counter-productive it would be to shed light on that fact at a time like this. For all his desire to prove himself, he'd still rather have been proven wrong and had Valkryie alright then for him to have been right and for her to be in trouble.

As soon as everyone headed off, Cheetor ran along the river bank as fast as he could with his slightly-numb shoulder- which wasn't actually all that slow.

Steelclaw watched Glowstick as he walked closer.

I guess that finishes that...

Indeed.

He had noticed Valkyrie drop her stolen weapon during the battle, so he started heading off towards its direction.

"I'm going to retrieve my sniper rifle." he informed Glowstick.

He would have to be quick- the rifle wasn't exactly by Valkryie, but the Maximals would very likely come for her, and he didn't want to be anywhere near them when they came.

Stupid bird.

"Can you do us a favor, Winter?" asked Orcariner, rising to the water's surface, "Try to gain some elevation with these mountains. We could definitely use a good scout now that our flier is down."

The killer whale dove again and kicked his way through the river.

[Wintersong]

Wintersong paused a she looked at the killer whale, "You got it." She said turned back and looked for a better way to climb the mountians. Spotting a few crevices and ledges to use for leverage the white tigeress dashed towards the side and raised on her hinds legs reahcing with ehr frotn paws for a hold. Using her strength she had she pulle dherself up, while setting oen bakc paw on the side for an extra push.

After a bit Wintersong was finally able to pull herself to a suitable height, watching for signs of the Predaocns. But it was difficult to move, the ledge she had picked ot watch from was barely big enough to fit someone of her size. With barely much room to move she was cautious of where to put her large paws.

Glowstick watched as Steelclaw went to retrieve his gun, he turned toward the direction of the transport he took earlier and floated into the air towards it's location. Moving in the air he turned looking to see if he could spot Steelclaw, but found it difficult. Black fur became good camouflage against the planet's vegetation.

His optics then shifted noticing movement in the distance of something black and white moving along the side of a mountain, the complete opposite effect of camouflage.

Turning to face the direction he was flying, he landed on the back of the transport. The heavy Mini gun on his shoulder sliding free from his tentacle's grasp onto the boxed bed of the transport. He then moved to the cab of the vehicle Glowstick, beastmode. he said to himself transforming to squid mode.

Settling into the pilot position, one of his limbs wrapped around the joystick as the vehicle backed out of the woods heading towards Steelclaw, a low whine coming from the electric powered wheels. He wondered if the creature on the high area was a Maximal, meaning possibly they had fresh soldiers in the area. It was possible, but seemed unlikely.

Steelclaw was looking around the general area he figured his rifle had fallen, but he couldn't quite find it.

There were no trees around his area, so he felt rather exposed, but he hadn't seen any Maximals yet, so he was still good.

But where was... there!

About 50 nanoparsecs away, the barrel of the gun was reflecting light. So without further delay, he walked to it.

He would have to just transform and grab it and go back to beast mode. His field dampeners were only prepared to handle a small amount of energon radiation.

Orcariner transformed into his robot form and emerged from the river. A ridge stood in between the Maximal party and Valkyrie's crash site. He unsheathed his blades and plunged them into the steep slope before him. Climbing, he radioed to Wintersong.

"Party to scout," he said, "Do you have a visual?"

[Wintersong]

"Though I saw something moving in the distance, but scanners aren't reading anything besides the life here. Whatever it was it's out of range now." Wintersong reported having checked and double checked where she saw the movement but beyond the trees it was a bit hard to see anything. "How are things for your position?" She asked, shifting her psotion as she transformed setting a hand on her rifle at her side and just barely squeezing the trigger for when it may be needed.

[Blazemane]

Without even voicing his activation code out loud, Steelclaw transformed and grabbed the sniper rifle. Then he holstered it magnetically to his back.

A blue current ran across his hand even as he began transforming back into beast mode. After he was transformed, he gave one last wary look around and then began heading back to where he'd come from.

Cheetor knew Wintersong was already scouting, but she hadn't seen anything, so he decided to run on ahead. They had to find Valkyrie.

He got near to a large boulder just on the corner of a river bend, and when he finally passed it, he could see land out in front of him for a good distance.

He paused for a moment and zoomed in with his optics. Maybe, just maybe...

"I found her!" he shouted before realizing the potential danger of such a loud announcement. He got on his com-link.

"I found her." he restated, in case his teammates hadn't heard him. "Bearings 8-3-9-2." She was almost in the river, but not quite. She didn't seem to be in much of a hiding place though.

[Alak]

Kicking his tail, Orcariner surged through the water at a quickened pace. They were nearing the blast zone so his radar was progressively become static. The Maximal knew what direction Cheetor was indicating, nonetheless.

"Keep an eye on her as we approach," radioed Orcariner to the cheetah, "If there are any tangos in the area, do not open fire unless provoked. We're grabbing our leader and going home."

The current was not as resistant now, and the killer whale found it quite easy to rocket himself towards Cheetor's location. Riding up onto the river bank, the Maximal transformed into his robotic form. Energon radiation was not hesitant to overwhelm his body, and despite having all power rerouted to field dampers, Orcariner knew he had little time before he had to transform back.

"This is going to a bit difficult," he said to Cheetor.

His voice was low and quiet as he feared enemy scouts may be nearby.

"You're still injured," he continued, indicating to his companion's open wounds, "We may need Wintersong and Icebreaker to help carry her back to the Axalon."

[Blazemane]

Cheetor was a bit surprised by how fast Ocariner get to him, but he was glad at the same time.

Cheetor looked at his busted shoulder and realized the warrior was right.

"Well then, let's get 'em here." he stated.

"Wintersong, Icebreaker, we need a hand over here." he said on his com-link.

Icebreaker rushed out of the river, suddenly hopping out onto the land walking towards Valkyrie. His red bird eyes examining the damage done to the fallen maximal This is pretty bad.. he then said to himself, he then sighed walking to the side of Valkyrie, after giving a look over as to weather or not she'd fall apart if he tried to move her, he leaned down rolling her onto her back, then using his wings lifted and turned his body having her set on his back like a backpack, his wings moving behind him to support her lower half.

He looked towards the others Alright, lets move out. he then turned starting to walk in direction of the maximal base.

Coming up from the distance, Glowstick slowed to a stop next to Steelclaw Need a lift? the squid then said looking towards the bear waving one of his tentacles.
