(( OOC: Awe, thank you, Phoenix. Poor Aurora.
Don't worry. The monkey won't punish her.
Fantastic post, Alak! Certainly put me in a better mood. Let's see what it does for Optimus.
WorpeX, I couldn't agree more with Phoenix about Airazor. Very nice. Much more depth to her than the show provided; although I've always liked her anyway.
Awe. Poor Whitegrazer. Now I feel bad. Nice, una.
Sorry for the wait, guys. I was getting caught up on those AMC movies with the Story Notes this week. So fun to watch. XD And I've also been trying to spend as much time as possible on my drawing for the BotCon art contest. I have a lot more to do, so expect me to be a little less active this weekend and next week and possibly the weekend after that.
I'll post when I can!

"The area is ours," "and Sentinel is up again. Despite the truce at hand, we can't afford to have anything of this sort happen again." "Can't afford to let this one out either."
Optimus barely heard Rhinox, lost in his own world that seemed to be crumbling all around him while he continued to examine the damaged door. Until what the rhinoceros said next.
"Her death wasn't your fault," "It was hers."
Standing up straight, Primal's optics locked onto Rhinox's but he remained silent.
This wouldn't have happened had I not held Nemesis prisoner, he thought. He understood what his friend was saying, but he still couldn't help feeling responsible. However, he wasn't going fall into a debate over it.
"You may be the captain of this ship, and you may technically hold responsibility for our actions in the court of law. That does not, however, acquit any of us from the accountability accompanied with our decisions. Valkyrie was a smart Maximal and she has the experience to back her rank up. She knew what she was doing when she walked in here, regardless of whatever condition she had. When was the last time we put her in the field? It's been at least a year from what I can remember; probably more if you look it up. We did take precautions with her well-being. We did educate her on the rules of the team. What happened here was a result of Valkyrie's decision and hers alone.
You, on the other hand, were not here when this happened. None of us were. Think about it. What would you have done if you knew she walked into the brig? Abandon the mission in the field and fly back here? You still would have been too late to save her, and Ironclaw and the others would have been more exposed to risk of injury without your help."
The leader's head thoughtfully lowered for a moment from Rhinox's words. He would have done anything to have saved Valkyrie's life, even if it cost him his own. No one should be
dying. Death. Extinguished sparks that are lost to the Matrix, never to be seen or heard from again. It was surreal to him. He didn't like it at all. Why did Valkyrie do this? Why?
"Optimus,"
He shifted his gaze back up to the science engineer.
"You and I have known each other longer than anyone else in this universe has. I would never tell you this if I didn't believe it with my fullest convictions. Optimus, you have to accept the fact that you cannot control our fates. You can't always be around to save every single individual when they find the slightest hint of trouble. To believe you're capable of doing so is to give into your pride. The only absolute power we have is the one that allows us to teach. Pass your wisdom to others, and then let them do what they can with that knowledge. We've given Valkyrie everything we could've. We have to accept the fact that her death was out of our control at the time. Let this incident teach us its lessons, learn from them, and grow from the experience in order to prevent this from happening again."
Primal was so grateful to have such a wise friend. Although his words angered at him at first, Optimus calmed down and let them sink in. As more rage subsided, he could feel Whitegrazer's presence again. He was well aware that he couldn't be around to save everyone from danger or death. Obviously. He had already lost three Maximals now. And he greatly feared losing any more. Not again. So now it was time to toughen up and do what needed to be done. It was time for his Maximals to step up and learn something from these incidents. It was time to bring them together more than ever, and be the only commanding officer he knew how to be; himself. With Rhinox's inspiring perspective, it cleansed Primal's mind and attitude, and he suddenly seemed to stand taller, more confident, and less tolerable.
"You're absolutely right, Rhinox," he finally spoke with a calm voice.
"Thank you. I don't know where I'd be without you." Probably in pieces, falling into a darkening abyss of hopelessness. But now he felt rejuvenated and more optimistic. Time to spread it around.
"Let's lock up the brig, secure it, and we'll remove and quarantine Valkyrie's body later. I fear I've left the others alone for too long." Even though things might have been looking bleak for the Maximals right now with the recent deaths, they still had a lot to go over with Ironclaw's mission, and Optimus didn't want them to think that he was breaking down. If he falls, everyone falls. He still had to lead them and keep them together, no matter the grief or loneliness that many might have been experiencing. The others looked to him for guidance and leadership, and he couldn't let them down. Since Rhinox had already updated the security clearance for the brig and Sentinel's defenses, Primal stepped out and immediately headed back to the bridge.
"Tigatron, Orcariner, this is Optimus. Report to the commander center immediately for a debriefing," he called over his comm. link to theirs, recalling from Rattrap's earlier report that they were in the medical bay.
(( OOC: Don't mean to rush things, Alak, but I figured we should keep rolling. Again, awesome job with Rhinox. He's OP's mentor.

Meanwhile, noticing Aurora's reaction, Rattrap sat up and studied her for a moment.
"Aurora? What's wrong?" he asked. But before he could say anything else, she suddenly bolted out of the main bridge.
"Hey! We're supposed to stay here!" he called after her but heard nothing in return except fading foot steps down the corridor. Worried, he was about to chase after her until he saw Whitegrazer take the initiative. Sighing and shaking his head, he hoped their fearless leader would be back soon to make everyone fall back in line. Surprisingly, Starshadow was being awfully quiet and staying out of trouble. He could've sworn she'd be poking fun at them for their loss or being so emotional with each other or anything really.
"I'm really beginning to wonder if any of these Predacons have some decency for life,"
Rattrap looked at Feralnight in agreement.
"Most of 'em? I don't think so. And that only makes it that much worse for us." He sat there waiting for anything else to happen, or others to show up, figuring they had captured what they could from all of the video feed.

"You're right," "Let's go to the bridge. Everyone seems to be congregated over there." "Nemesis was the escapee..."
Tigatron began walking until Orcariner announced who the escaped prisoner was. How on Cybertron did she manage to get out?! Where was Airazor? Was she safe? Now he was more eager than ever to find her and be by her side.
"Let's meet up with everybody and find out what happened."
"Tigatron, Orcariner, this is Optimus. Report to the commander center immediately for a debriefing,"
"Sounds like we don't have a choice," the white tiger commented casually upon hearing their leader's voice. He made his steps quick and light, proceeding the larger Maximal toward their destination.
