Nor I, thought Optimus. And yet, here they were. So, Steelclaw had found her first? He wondered what the bear was doing all the way out here by himself. A simple scouting mission? Recon?
"But can't change any of that now. All we can do is pull together and survive and it looks like you guys are doing a good job of that. I say...that's pretty impressive for an exploration crew."
A smile pulled at the corner of the gorilla's mouth to Whitegrazer's encouraging statement, like an unspoken thank you. While they had been through some tough times already with the Predacons and aliens, he supposed the bright side of it was exatly what she observed. Of course, it won't feel that way the day when he might lose someone under his command.
Whitegrazer was glad to see the gorilla commander smile.
((OOC: Oh he won't have to worry about that until later on. This is Season One! More lighthearted!
Well, I hope...ummmm GUYS DON'T DIE ON US!! OCS *stares at everyone* I'm looking at you guys. XDDDDD))
"Acknowledged, Dinobot," the leader responded on the link. "I'll be there shortly. Is she all right? Have you spotted any Predacons in the vicinity?"
"Nightmist, Cheetor, please escort Frilla and Whitegrazer back to Base. Dinobot, Saber-Fang and I will catch up," Primal instructed them. Turning away from the group, the Maximal commander tested his leg which had begun to feel better thanks to his beast mode, and took off on his knuckles at a gallop, heading to the Dinobot's location. His side was still badly shredded from Steelclaw's fiery ammunition, and the head ache lingered, but it was certainly nothing life-threatening. Hopefully Saber-Fang was all right.
The horse bot watched as Optimus raced towards the others--he was pretty fast for a bot that was injured. She then looked back at Nightmist, Frilla and Cheetor, still carrying her smile. She couldn't wait to see the Axalon but she hated volcanoes. Though Steelclaw could have lied about that, he lied about being Maximal which she didn't hold anything against him. Whitegrazer never did that. She will just have to wait and see.

Wintersong looked once more at the frozen icy depths, shivering at the thought of the water and being under so far, the darkness, the pressure, the low temperature..."I can't wait to be back in the jungle again. Anything over a barren land of frozen water." She growled a bit, "Don't mind it but I'm sticking to streams or rivers from now on." Turning from the ice she started to head back the way they had come, feeling the slight sting of the frostbite in her beast form. Though she disliked the Predacons Wintersong couldn't help but be thankful that Glowstick had shown mercy, this time at least.
The thought of having to drift int he cold darkness of the arctic waters made Wintersong's fur almost bristle, almost able to feel the water surrounding her again and almost imagining to have not return to her teammates. Next time she'd have to pick her fights much more carefully to avoid something like that again.

Feralnight nodded glad to be leaving, "I need to contact Primal too when we are out of so much interference. Trying to com from here will be pain without the station." She said took flight, though it was a low glide. At least the wind was coming towards them allowing her a bit less difficulty less she flew higher. Though it never escaped her mind to whether the function of the Decepticon was possible or not still made her a bit nervous since it could possibly bring more trouble from their enemies if it was brought to the Beast Wars.
----------------------------
Frilla watched Primal heading off then looked towards the other three Maximals. She was still nervous about this but as far as she could tell neither of these three former enemies were nothing she had expected, they weren't hostile but welcoming. Frilla was genuinely surprised. "So uh lead the way?" She said uncertain what else to say.

Nightmist nodded in response to Primal and immediately converted back to beast mode.
"Let's go, kittycat. I'm sure our new friends are looking forward to getting some well deserved rest back at the base!," she chirped as she started to flap her wings enough to provide her the lift she required to take off.
She glanced back at Frilla and Whitegracer before setting course back to base.
"Do either of you require a lift?" Although Whitegracer would probably be a little bit much for Nightmist to carry, Frilla seemed small enough to be a good candidate for a ride.
----------------
Glowstick's eyes then looked towards the female's chest noticing the damaged purple insignia Well well.. not only a looker, but I'm sure you were fun in your prime.
(ooc: Related to Nightshadow, is he?
)
Nemesis obviously did not respond to Glowstick's remarks, merely remaining on the lower ledge of the iceberg until the squid and his predacon allies decided what to do with her.

(Ha, no.Glowstick has no relation to NS at all.)
Glowstick floated up towards the surface, it wouldn't be too hard to recover the body considering where it was. Though he wished he brought a flier or someone capable of piloting to assist him. He could feel the slime coating on his body start to feel like sludge as it started to thicken from the cold. If he stayed down there too long even he might have some troubles..
Stopping towards the ice, he then transformed to robot mode and fired two wide laser blasts straight up through the ice cutting a X shape into it. X marks the spot.. he then said to himself, floating into the now heated surface water to warm up a bit.
He floated out of the water a few moments later, steam seen coming from his body as he transformed to his squid mode floating towards shore, his path moving in an arc like line in an attempt to avoid the maximals. He then activated his comlink Hey Snowtrix, I don't know if you know anything on flying.. I found the body, looks like they tried to move it into an abyss but it got caught on an iceberg. I guess I'll regroup with you and we'll fish it out.

Whitegrazer shook her head with a chuckle, "I can walk. Thanks to your repairs."
She began to follow the others back to base with a slow, graceful pace alongside the cheetah transformer. It was fascinating seeing each of her comrades' beast mode. This planet they were on was truly a magnificent paradise of animal and plant life.
Glancing at the Maximal cheetah, she asked, "What planet are we on anyway?"

Frilla began to follow them aware that they'd easily outmatch her in speed and she looked at Nightmist, "I may need one if I get behind." She said as she followed their slow pace for now.

Snow Trix looked from the monitor after hearing Glowstick, "Know a bit but going to be a rough flight in this weather." Snow Trix replied standing and going to the main controls and started to activate the Levianthan, getting it from the snow that had covered it. Moving it forward she started to head towards the frozen shore feeling the vehicle shake from the wind.

What? He was just giving them a head start.
But he changed his mind when he remembered the battle that had just ended and could start again. It'd be safer for them all to stay together.
Whitegrazer wrote:What planet are we on anyway?
Yeah, what planet were they on anyways?
"Beats me," Cheetor answered. "We chased Megatron's ship by getting a fix on the
Darksyde's warp signature, so we knew where he was going when he started to time travel, but we didn't know where where he was going was." Cheetor stopped for a second to think about what he'd said before he kept going. "We just got out of a transwarp portal when we finally fought each other above this place and fell down. So we don't know."
Something crossed Cheetor's mind and he looked to Frilla.
"Hey, you don't have to..." Well, this was kindof awkward. He was willing to welcome her into the group, but maybe it wasn't so much that she felt unwelcome as that she felt weird taking that welcome. "...well, y'know, hang back. You can walk with us... if ya' want."

Dinobot wrote:I'll be there shortly. Is she all right? Have you spotted any Predacons in the vicinity?
"I detect no hostiles- or injuries for that matter," Dinobot replied. "I'm going to approach her," he suggested.
It seemed dishonorable to not attend to a comrade if that attendance posed no threat to a larger operation. She was clearly not being used to bait a Predacon ambush, and he, to his slight chagrin, had no enemies to confront.
"Saber," Dinobot announced his presence without waiting for Optimus' approval as he walked closer. "Are you well?"

Saber's right ear twiched when she heard more movement.
"Saber," "Are you well?"
Saber chuckled before opening her eyes to look at Dinobot.
"All I can say is that I've have better days." She replied.

((Oh snap, potential Saber Rage vs. Dinobot?))
Orcariner emerged from the frozen tunnel and rose to the surface. Discharging the excess water inside his body, the killer whale continued to swim towards dry land. The trip through the icebergs gave him enough time to put together an explanation for Optimus Primal as to why he was returning empty handed. Regardless, Orcariner was weary of how his leader was going to react. The Predacons were going to find the body sooner or later and retrieve it. Knowing what he had in his possession, Megatron would do everything he could to thaw the Decepticon and reactivate it. Optimus was an understanding individual but giving their enemies a new weapon was bad enough news that the even leader's patience could be tried.
Maybe I should have killed her, Orcariner thought.
It would have been extreme and uncharacteristic for a Maximal; at least for a Maximal such as Optimus. The captain disapproved of killing of soldiers, so the odds of him approving of Orcariner slaying a non-participant was slim to none.
Maybe I should have brought her back.
Then again, the Maximals did not have any quick way to transport the body back to base. Spending that much time in sunlight could have thawed the Decepticon, allowing her to either run away or attack the Maximals. Orcariner imagined the damage she would cause if she had awoken in the Axalon itself. Decepticons, after all, were known to often be volatile in nature. The killer whale continued to reassure himself that he made the right decision as he approached the beach. Transforming into his robot form, the giant proceeded to walk out of the water and onto the sand. The others were on their way, so the he figured that his tall frame would provide a signal as to where they should regroup.

They didn't know? Couldn't they have check the solar system they warped too? But Whitegrazer couldn't say anything about that, they were busy fighting to stay alive. Maybe they will found out some day. Though, the planet did have a pecuilar look to it. Ah, she really wasn't an expert in stuff like that so she didn't have an answer.
I would love to see what else this planet has when I get the chance. Truly a beautiful planet with diverse, both graceful and vicious creatures.
She looked back at Frilla. She could see how uncomfortable the femme was. Changing sides isn't easy. Feelings of self-doubt, confusion, and anxeity overwhelm a bot--at least from what she heard from some of her friends.

Glowstick watched as the Leviathan floated into view, then made some calculations based on the wind, he projected himself into the air, then fired out his tentacles grabbing onto the Leviathan and pulling himself onto it, his limbs gripping to the ship as he crawled towards the cargobay hatch keypad and entered the passcode, then waited as the door opened. Crawling inside he made it towards the winch starting to set up the hook and grabbing a few tie downs, he activated his radio Take her over the X I made in the ice and try to float between 2 to 3 meters above the ice, should make it easier to deal with the wind.
He extended the winch cable letting it unspole, then grabbed the hook and made it towards the cargo hatch, waiting til the ship was above the X. He dropped down from the ship with the cable into the X, continuing further down into the ocean depths.
a few moments later he came down towards the abyss, seeming to have enough cable to pull the body up. He observed the decepticon's body to figure where to use as anchor points, then started to attaching tie downs from the hook to Nemesis's body.
Finishing, Glowstick swam towards the surface, then transformed to robot mode floating up into the Cargo bay. Pointing his limbs out he projected two wide laser beams at the ice making the X into a large hole, then floated up to the bridge and into the gunner seat. Flipping a switch in the gunner seat the winch activated, he then placed his tentacles on the manipulators getting them prepared as Nemesis's body rises to the surface, the manipulators moving to grab onto her body. He switched off the winch and used the manipulators to load Nemesis's body into the Leviathan carefully.

Icebreaker turned his head watching in the distance as the Predacons loaded the Decepticon body, frowning at the sight.

"I detect no hostiles- or injuries for that matter," "I'm going to approach her,"
"Be careful, Dinobot," Primal warned him. He couldn't stop him from approaching her. Besides, he was sure the raptor would be able to tell if it was safe or not. Primus, he was making the situation as if it were some kind of monster they were trying to learn about and not a comrade. And a former general for that matter! After this episode, he hoped Saber-Fang would open up a little to him. He just wanted to understand, and help if he could.
Optimus had taken a different route than Dinobot had in order catch up to the two quicker, but he could still smell the stench of the animal that had been slaughtered. He assumed it had been by Saber when she was out of control, if she wasn't anymore. If it had been her doing, then it certainly worried the leader. He had enough on his mind as it was, and now to deal with something "dark" under his own ranks was putting a lot of weight on his shoulders.
(( OOC: And then when Orcariner and company tell him about the 'Con...
Yay, stress and pressure!
)) Saber-Fang would have to tell him what was going on. He had to know in order to keep the rest of the Maximals safe and aware of the situation. Something like this could
not be ignored.
Slowing down, the gorilla picked up Saber's and Dinobot's scents near the water. He walked along the stream with caution when he spotted the two right up ahead. The saber tooth was laying on the ground, probably exhausted from the ordeal she had just experienced. Frowning lightly, Primal walked up and stopped beside Dinobot.
"Saber-Fang?" was all he said in a calm, kind voice just to let her know he was there while he caught his breath, and to give her the opportunity to speak if she wished. It appeared she might want to rest first and gather her thoughts.
-----
..."I can't wait to be back in the jungle again. Anything over a barren land of frozen water." "Don't mind it but I'm sticking to streams or rivers from now on."
Tigatron frowned at Wintersong. What she had gone through with Glowstick was unimaginable to him. He wouldn't be surprised if she never touched water again.
"I need to contact Primal too when we are out of so much interference. Trying to com from here will be pain without the station."
And tell him what? the tiger pondered while he watched Feralnight take off.
That we failed? That we might be in greater danger than we already are if the Predacons restore that Decepticon? Shaking his head in his own disappointment, he trotted after Wintersong, slowing to a walk when he caught up to her and stayed by her side. If she needed to talk, he was there for her.

Saber heard another pair of foot steps this time coming up the river, moving pebbles as the new comer joined Dinobot and herself.
"Saber-Fang?"
Saber closed her eyes for a moment when she heard Optimus' voice, then opened them to look at her leader.
"Hey, Optimus."
Saber knew that she would have to explain what the slag just happend and what was going one with her, and she wasn't looking forward to that, but Optimus deserved an explanation.
