Umbra listened as the events went on, though focused on fighting the sedative.

He was surprised it worked, though from the sound and feeling of the concussive air pressure washing over him, he could tell where the device went off. Directly into the remaining computers. This posed a good chance, if he could make it out of the bridge and block the way.. it'd give him enough time to disable the ship defenses.

Two of his tentacles raised from the floor coiling around Cecaelia's waist, Umbra then raised his head as he expelled smoke from his mouth and the siphon on his back to blind the others in the room. The rest of his tentacles assisted his movements as he got up. His leg compartment opening as his tentacles lifted Cecaelia,and pushed backwards moving him back towards the entrance of the hall, he drew his other Demo charge.

Explosives were used for alot of things.. with many different types. Rockets, grenades, missiles.. they all served a purpose of destroying life. But a Demo charge.. Wasn't about death, it could be used for it though. The demo charge was more used in demolition, by imploding a structure onto itself by cutting key points with a focused blast without interfering with the structures around it.

Hate to bomb and run.. but we have more important matters to take care of..

He squeezed the demo charge tossing it up towards a corner support to the hall, then pulled Cecaelia close putting one of his robot arms around her as he leaned back almost as if to fall onto the floor and activated his Siphon's jumpjet.

A sudden rush of air expelled from his body launching him down the hall at high speed, he then fell onto his back, sliding down the hall further from his slick and slimy body.

The sudden rush of air swirled the smoke in the enclosed bridge, followed by a loud explosion coming from the hallway as some of the support beams,duct vent,and ceiling panels collapsed.Multiple high voltage lines dangled dangerously from the ceiling sparked in a frightening manner further impeding the way into the hall.

Umbra looked up at Cecaelia, his body still making strange swirling patterns and even strange tie dye like colors. Ug.. Lady Cecaelia, are you alright? he inquired, while releasing his hold on her.

It was true. The repairs she needed had been extensive and as such she required a fairly large amount of raw materials for her nanites to feed on and convert.

"Heh heh, sounds like he was quite the feast, you must have been starving. No matter, if you have room for more, you can have her as well after I'm done with her" Terrorsaur replied with a laugh, his eyes lit with evil mirth as he raised his sword overhead, prepared to bring it crashing down atop of her like an executioner's axe.

A howl of pain suddenly escaped the fuzor, pain shooting through her systems from the stab to the wing when they were one of the most sensitive areas on her form. Looking towards the stabbed wing Feralnight's optics briefly looked towards her shoulder cannons, knowing she might have enough for a fully powered blast the could maybe work, but she doubted for very long. But with Terrorsaur's talons dug into her armor it could only tear her armor further then it already was. "Your not the only one who can use a blade."Reaching over with her free hand Feralnight drew one of her feather daggers from the opposite wing and stabbed it into one of the pteradon's legs into the knee joint and hoping it would force him off her.

"RRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWKKKKKKK!" Terrorsaur screamed in pain, instinctively kicking the maximal female away with enough force to make her bounce head over heels, reaching down to remove the knife in his knee.

Again, she had reminded him of his mortality, that in spite of his new found power, he could still be harmed...She would suffer for that, suffer horribly. He was Terrorsaur, King of the Air, once and future leader of the Predacons and ruler of Cybertron! She would learn respect before she died!

"Still hungry, Nemesis? THEN EAT HER ALIVE!" Terrorsaur commanded furiously, firing his eye beams at the already injured maximal flyer, aiming to cripple or destroy her, he was so mad right now it didn't matter to him either way, as long as it was painful and she died in the end.

They were going to lose him if she didn't do something, but she couldn't see what direction he was going.

She looked around the war town battlefield for any indication of what direction the former Predacon might be considering. She noticed Orcariner heading towards the Maximal base with Megatron following behind. Dinobot might attempt to provide back up to his comrade. Arachnitron opened up the wrist compartment in her arm and pulled out one of her explosives. She set the charge and placed it on the upper side of the rock that was covering Tarantulas. Then she repositioned herself some thirty or forty feet away from the explosion that was about to, hopefully, clear the rock from Tarantulas' body.

Not wanting Dinobot to get away, she fired some more shots from her energon pistol aiming in the direction of the Maximal base....the direction she hoped Dinobot was going, but she wasn't sure. She could only hope that her return fire would either slow his escape or hit one of the landmines that the Maximals had set up.

"5......4......3.....2....." she whispered to herself....counting out the seconds until the explosive she had left on the rock would go off.

"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" she warned Tarantulas just a few seconds before the rock was blown apart by the explosive device on its surface.

Finding himself suddenly free from his stone prison, the incredible pressure on his body finally lifted, Tarantulas rose to his clawed feet and immediately sent out a psychic message to Blackarachnia, demanding "Quickly Witch, report! Tell me what you found," the spider in no mood for games after that experience.

Not waiting for a reply, Tarantulas turned to Arachnitron and commanded "Pursue him! We cannot afford to lose both keys to our victory."



OOC: do the other predacons know about Nemesis' eating habits? Or is it a secret?

As Dinobot was moving out from the area where he had been confronted by the two spiders, he heard Arachnitron fire a few final shots in his direction, and he ducked instinctively, even as they passed just slightly above where his head would have been.

He was running further north when he observed Orcariner heading into base--extremely damaged, but essentially safe enough to back into the Axalon. Dinobot looked west and growled; still a ways off, Megatron could be seen flying in towards the center of the fight. The Predacon commander had a completely new form, Dinobot could see. Thick, transmetal armor. Powerful VTOL units concealed against his back--unassailable from Dinobot's current location. The former head-laser seemed to have been replaced by a more deadly design which doubled as Megatron's tail, and perhaps it was not even a laser any longer, but some other sort of energy weapon. What other weapons Megatron carried, Dinobot could not tell, but it was almost certain that he would have them.

Dinobot doubted it would be a wise strategy to take the tyrant head-on, as much as the idea fired him up. Perhaps if he concealed himself and waited until he could attack from the side, then he would--

Feralnight's howl tore Dinobot completely away from his strategizing. He looked north again and realized that he had not seen Terrorsaur and Feralnight earlier because he had been looking into the air at Orcariner. Now he could see that his ally was in a terrible situation. Without a moment's hesitation, he withdrew his sword and shield and sprinted off in their direction. He watched on closely, and after Feralnight dug her dagger into Terrorsaur's leg and Terrorsaur kicked her away from him, he entered into the battle with a cry, staring straight at his opponent's neck before opening up with his eye beams. The next moment, he leapt at Terrorsaur in a sort of angry tackle with his shield held aloft in front of him.

Steelclaw saw Silverstreak on the ground after the boulder was demolished. Acting quickly, he made the switch on his gauss rifle to shoot normal rather than incendiary rounds, and then he aimed the weapon at her.

"Megatron's orders are for us to destroy you all without quarter. So, uh, you aren't gonna have much of a chance to live back at your own base now. My suggestion is for you to run as far away from here as you can," he said, motioning west with his head.

"Wha-" the tentacle which coiled around Cecaelia's waist surprised her. What was her partner planning now with all the smoke around the room? She blushed a little when Umbra pulled her close to him.

"Wait what n-" Off they go down to the halls with the demo charge going off with a loud explosion.

Ug.. Lady Cecaelia, are you alright?

She rubbed her head, coughing out the smoke and looked at him, "I'm fine..in this comfy and awkward body position." she said sarcastically.

"At least we got the Maximals, did we?"

Starshadow snarled as the river took Saber further down from the battlefield. She was not the kind of Predacon who leaves her enemies to die but to make sure that their sparks are completely extinguished. The transmetal panther bot activated her thrusters and followed her down.

"Today will be your funeral day, Saber, I swear to Primus..There's no escape this time."

"Bad move rodent." "Now i'll just make your death MORE PAINFUL!! HAHAHAHHAHA"

What a lunatic, thought Rattrap. Besides, the mantis had already made the worst move; invading enemy territory.

"Rattrap!! Behind you!"

With a light gasp, the Maximal Commander turned and ducked at the same time so that his side lowered just enough for his arm and shoulder to be grazed by Manterror's saws. A gash on his upper arm, and scratches decorated the wheel on his shoulder. Grumbling from the pain, he was fortunate he hadn't lost his entire arm, and that was thanks to Airazor's warning. Quickly he rolled out of the way across the floor and got to his feet as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, hearing Airazor and watching Manterror sneak up on their leader, Tigatron narrowed his optics and took advantage of the opportunity, firing at the Predacon's back and wings while the bug attacked the rat.

"Rattrap this is Wintersong, sorry for being late with my report but I was a little wrapped up with one of the Preds...least I think he was. He was just dropped me close by but I should be there in a few kliks."

While Tigatron gave Rattrap a hand with Manterror, the TransMetal rodent picked up Wintersong's report. He wasn't sure which Predacon she was talking about; after all it could have been Onyx or that Silverbolt bot. At least it sounded like she was okay, but he was growing worried about not hearing from Cheetor, Saber-Fang and Silverstreak. How did Optimus always manage all of this? He made it seem so easy. "All right, Wintersong. Just watch yer back out dere." Rattrap was interrupted when Orcariner suddenly showed up in the hangar.

"MANTERROR!!!"

Wow! He looks like slag, Rattrap thought grimly during the whale's introduction to their battle inside. But he was glad to see him, and to still see him functioning and ready to kick more Predacon skidplates. Hopefully he wasn't pushing himself too far.

"If you want an opponent worthy enough to test your skills, then fight me instead!"

Tigatron halted his firing on Manterror when Orcariner showed up and looked to Rattrap for direction.

Watching Orcariner trying to power up his shield and it failing, Rattrap frowned for a moment as he took in the TransMetal orca's damage and injuries. He was in really bad shape, so he wasn't going to let him handle Manterror alone. So Rattrap exchanged his weapon that he was holding in his hand with his injured arm to his other hand and stood his ground before the mantis, targeting him and waiting to see his next move. With some pain, he motioned to Tigatron to head for the CR so he could help Stag get Airazor out.

Nodding, Tigatron stealthfully snuck away from his position and headed over toward the CR.

"What's it gonna be, Bugboy?" Rattrap asked Manterror with a grin, hiding the aching and throbbing from his arm that he held at his side now, and aiming his gun at the Pred's chest with his good arm.

"Watch it Cecaelia."

Rhinox ignored Cecaelia's terrible comment, much like how he usually ignored Rattrap's sarcasm and negativity, and focused on helping Whitegrazer with Aurora. He briefly glanced at Umbra on the floor to make sure he wasn't awakening for a sneak attack.

"Are you ready?," "On the count of three.." "One.." "Two.." "Three!"

The large engineer kept his red optics on Whitegrazer's as he gripped her hands and pulled her toward him at the appropriate time with the necessary strength as Aurora successfully pulled off her maneuver. It had worked!

"Thank you, Aurora. Rhinox, "

Rhinox gave Whitegrazer a smile as he released her and a confident nod of pride to Aurora. If only Optimus and Icebreaker could see her now and how she was adapting to this unfortunate war. However, there was the matter of the bomb being uncontrollably tossed into the consoles, but as quickly as it all transpired, Rhinox instinctively wrapped his arms around Whitegrazer, Frilla and Aurora as best as he could and roughly pushed them all to the ground with him as he used his body to protect them from the debris and wreckage. His audio sensors were ringing and smoke engulfed the entire command center.

As his hearing came to, he heard the Predacons moving around, so Rhinox pushed himself up off of his female comrades and turned around, squinting his optics to try and see through the smoke. Some small shrapnel from the destroyed console units was stuck in his back but because his armor was so thick, he barely felt it. His back side was also covered in black soot, but who cared about that. Right now he was worried about these sneaky, aquatic Predacons.

With the smoke slowly lifting, he followed Umbra's voice and saw him and Cece scurrying away toward the hall, exactly where he didn't want them to go. Glaring at the duo, he was about to tackle Umbra when he witnessed him toss up a demolition charge toward the ceiling and it exploded only a mere second later. Rhinox had slightly turned his body away and blocked his face and chest with his arms to protect them. After the explosion and more smoke cleared, he examined the damage quietly that blocked their way to the corridor allowing the Predacons to escape, thinking about how internally trashed their ship was now, and started to move some of the heavier debris with his still sore hands from his encounter with Inferno earlier. Like every other Maximal right now, all he could do was keep pressing forward, no matter how bleak things looked. Especially now that the console that was feeding data into the blank protoform had been destroyed, and he feared the wires and cables running through this area were also damaged. Had they lost their chance...?

Stag looked up towards Orcariner as he spoke, then silently nodded to confirm his understanding of the orders.

He rolled towards Aerostriker's body after Orcariner set it down. His manipulator cable came out from his back as he rolled towards Aerostriker, gripping onto the remains and lifting him up with his mandibles to move him onto his back, his manipulator cable coiling to tie Aerostriker down to himself, he then started rolling towards the hanger wall.

He looked up the wall, mapping out a path to take towards the CR chamber while remaining in the shadows to be less noticed, then went flat before springing up with his wheels towards the wall.
Landing on the wall he surprisingly seemed to stick to it with his wheels, possibly through a method of Van der Waals force. His wheels moved slowly as he made his way near the ceiling, staying near the corner of the ceiling and wall as he made his way towards the CR chamber.

Stag looked towards Manterror being surrounded, then noticed Tigatron moving towards the CR chamber, only visible to him from his higher view point. As he came near the CR chamber, he prepared himself going flat against the wall, then hopped off, swinging his head up as his body altered its position in the fall, then landed with a small thud on the CR chamber.

The device was similar to the other CR chambers on the ship, just in a larger scale. Four locks to open the door. He rolled down the door, his undercarrage passing over the gash in the door blocking Airazor's view outside for a moment as he passed by.

Once at the bottom, he tilted his head to the side and drove down wedging his Mandibles between the upper left lock, then spread them slowly to pry in a manner almost like a jaws of life.The lock gave way, he then looked up towards Tigatron as he was arriving This unit would be appreciative if you assisted. He then tilted his head in the direction of a pipe That primitive prying tool will provide efficient leverage without damaging the chamber or occupant inside.

He then drove down to the floor, so as not to risk being catapulted once the locks were disengaged.His head leaned up wedging into a lower lock, then began attempting to pop it open with his mandibles.

He looked around the hall, then looked up noticing in Maximal writing the words "Medical bay" written above a door near them. He gave a slight smirk and reached for the wall with a few of his limbs to pull himself and Cecaelia up, then started to slowly walk towards the room leaned against the wall. Opening the door, he walked inside then spoke up I believe the best course of action would be to barricade ourselves in here for now.. You should be able to weld the door shut with your flame saber. Be wary of the vent, that tube fox might get inside.

He looked at the computer terminal in the room, then noticed a shelf on the wall next to it. Moving towards the shelf, he leaned against it as he looked at the items on it. His optics visibly turned black for a moment as his head slumped down, smacking into the shelf. His head then jerked back as his optics lit up, then gave a exhausted sigh. The effects of the tranquilizer still in his system, he would have to use a stimulant to at least suppress it long enough for him to get out. His optics then shifted as he noticed some energon on the shelf. This will probably work.. he muttered to himself, then lifted the container moving towards the computer and sitting down in front of it.

He popped the container open as he started using the computer to go into the settings of the Axalon. One of the ends of his tentacles dipped into the container, tasting the fluid cautiously to analyze if it was energon. It seemed to be the case. He slid the limb out, then started drinking.

(Also to note, the Medical bay is NOT the same room Optimus Primal and Ironclaw are in. OOP and I went over this in private message. As for Umbra's state after drinking the energon, he'll still be too exhausted to fight, but atleast awake enough not to put his head through the keyboard..)

I don't think Nemesis would bother telling the Predacons about her 'eating habits' due to her not being entirely comfortable with her own actions when such things take place. When the nanites require more materials to complete their repairs, Nemesis gets completely overwhelmed by these sensations that could be compared to hunger, prompting her to attack whatever foe or metallic object she happens to have nearby. It's not exactly a conscious thing that she does, but she is aware of what is happening. Some of the Maximals saw the video footage of this taking place, but I doubt she would have shared much information about her nanotechnology nor how it functions with the Predacons due to her feeling partially ashamed of these almost cannibalistic instincts of hers. )

Nemesis grinned, eyeing the Maximal almost hungrily. Of course she had no plans to physically devour this one, since her repairs had already been made, but she was certainly not opposed to the idea of spilling some more Maximal mech fluids this day. Since joining the beast wars, she already had 3 of their lives on her conscience as well as nearly killing several others. They were at war and soldiers are expendable. This Maximal female was no exception to that rule.

(ooc: Nemesis believes Aerostriker is dead. The other two were Valkyrie and Nightmist, killed in earlier episodes.)

Then something a little unexpected happened. The Maximal seemed to bring up the courage to fight back, stabbing Terrorsaur in the knee with a knife. The avian Predacon merely crossed her arms, the smile never leaving her face as she watched Terrorsaur yell out in pain and scramble to save his own hide.

She tilted her head a bit, unphased by Terrorsaur's pain. It was a desperate attempt by the Maximal, and one that would hardly pose any real threat to her fellow Predacon. She herself was accustomed to pain far worse that what had just been inflicted on her fellow transmetal, so she decided to merely watch as the two of them battled it out.

"My..," the female responded with a teasing tone, "..pleasure."


She readied her weapon, targeting the helpless Maximal, when someone moving in quickly on the ground below caught her attention. She immediately recognized the newcomer as Dinobot, a Predacon traitor. He came barging in fast, apparently oblivious to her presence as he focused his attacks on Terrorsaur.

Oh this was simply too perfect..!

Nemesis holstered her firearm and pulled out the sword instead. Then she fired her her boosters, angling herself so she was rushing towards Dinobot with her leg extended in an attempt to knock his eye lasers off its target with a well-aimed kick to the back of his head. In her hand she clutched Optimus' sword, preparing to impale it through the unwitting Maximal's backside the moment she had kicked him off balance.

It seems logical. Cecaelia just followed Umbra to the Medical Bay. For a bot who was injected with a tranquilizer, he sure knows how to lift her up.

"On it." The femme activated her flame saber and weld the door shut. She heard a thud while she was at it. Her gaze turned to her partner who seems very exhausted, "Umbra, are you okay? You really could use a short nap."

(ooc: They better NOT have lost Optimus. :p As for Aurora, I've been having a writer's block. Not sure where to take it from here, really.
Also.. Warwulf hasn't posted because he is still waiting for some of the Maximals to intercept his fallen Silverbolt, in a similar fashion to what happened in the show. )

Aurora smiled before giving Whitegrazer a tender hug, happy that at least for now they were out of immediate danger. However the battle persisted, the Axalon still getting bombarded by stray and quite a few deliberate shots from the Predacons, causing the base to rumble and shake. Hopefully the shields would hold up against such a brutal barrage of incoming fire.

She held tightly onto Whitegrazer while glancing over at Rhinox, making sure the larger rhino was unharmed, before her optics drifted over at the now smoking remaining console.

Well.. They were without access to their computer terminals for the time being but with the shields still up and Sentinel at their disposal, this shouldn't present too big of a problem until they were able to re-establish the connection.

Yeah.. It would be okay. They could still win this fight.


Megatron halted his pursuit as the giant Maximal managed to enter his base. With a sneer on his face, Megatron decided not to risk anything by getting too close to the Maximal base with so many of them still inside. Instead he opened a channel to his agents within.

"Umbra, Cecaelia; what is your status? "

He hated delays. That shield should have been down by now.

She smiled at Aurora and returned her hug when Umbra awoke.

Whitegrazer immeidately covered Aurora as Rhinox shielded all three from the debris falling because of the demo bomb. She let go of Aurora and helped Rhinox push some of the debris away. The Predacons were gone, but still inside the base. Rhinox was glaring at the hallway where they took off, "They are at the defensive position. Umbra is still suffering from the effects of the tranquilizers. He won't be fighting for awhile. But I do believe we should do our best to get all the Predacons and all able-bodied Maximals outside. The Axalon can't take much more and we don't want anything too sensitive to be..." Her head turned to look at the same thing that Rhinox did: the wires connected to the blank protoform were destroyed. She hoped that Optimus' spark was already here. What cruelty would it be for him to travel all this way just to be sent back to the Matrix because of damaged wires. He had to be here. He had to be. She just... knew it. She believed that Optimus made it in time. She believed in him.

Placing a gentle, reassuring hand on Rhinox's shoulder, she saw the look of despair on his face, "Give it time."

She closed her optics. Things were going to get worse before they got better, but they needed to hold on. They will. Every one of her friends were strong and great warriors. They all could do it.

"Optimus, I don't know if you can hear or feel me, but we are waiting for you. We will hold them as long as we can. Hopefully, that will be enough.

She placed a hand over her spark.

Smoke rose from her weapon and she blew it off, hiding behind her as she felt gruesome's hold on her core processor reappeared.

She wore a smirk, hearing a staining Tarantulas ordering her. She wondered what happened to him there? Haha.

Feigning an expression of surprise and pouted, she lowered her head like she was ashamed, "The datatracks were booby-trapped I'm afraid." Half of the console hung by it's own innards, "It's completely destroyed. Shame."

Sonar had left his lair to simply stretch his wings, so he was flying with no particular destination in mind. While flying down river, something caught his attention, it was hard to see what it was at the altitude he was currently flying. Tilting his wings, he went into a slight free fall, a moments later he opened his wings to stop his desent when he saw that it was Saber-Fang. She looked like a drowned rat, she was alive, be it unconscious but alive.

"Terrorize."

He landed on his feet infront of the cat's unconscious form. He looked at her, noticing the bite and claw marks on her shoulders. He figured that she had been in a battle recently before ending up in the drink.

She must have become the creature during the fight, Sonar muse. It would explain why she ended up in the river and unconscious.

He stared at her for the longest time, his optics were impossible to read. He then looked up, scanning the skies, figuring that someone would be looking for her and judging by the wounds, he had a good idea who. He looked back at Saber before grabbing her by the scruff and dragged her out of the water towards a crevice in a rockface near by.

Our story has yet to end, Saber. And when it does, only one of us will be left standing. So if anyone is going to finish you off, it will be me. He promised as he dragged her into the fissure.

Going through the axalon ship settings, he found the shield, as well as wireless network. That would pose a problem.

Umbra accessed the router, then manipulated a strange puzzle rather easily that seemed to be the password. Why do we use such strange simple password systems? he wondered to himself, then responded to Megatron Apologies my liege.. we came across some.. inconveniences. But it should be down momentarily.

He then went through the settings, turning off the wireless signal. Moving back to the axalon controls he then once again, turned the shield off. There.. that.. should do it.. We had to barricade ourselves in the Medical bay, but the bridge is mostly destroyed. Wireless network and shield are now down.. the ship is yours to take.. However.. there are 10 Maximals inside of the ship, 2 seem to be in stasis..

Umbra head bobbed once again from exhaustion. He leaned his head up as he came to quickly again.

Thank you for your concern.. but I can't risk that right now..

Cecaelia nodded and smiled at Umbra.

"Umbra, Cecaelia; what is your status? "

She was about to say something which might offend him but stopped herself when Umbra spoke.

There.. that.. should do it.. We had to barricade ourselves in the Medical bay, but the bridge is mostly destroyed. Wireless network and shield are now down.. the ship is yours to take.. However.. there are 10 Maximals inside of the ship, 2 seem to be in stasis..I apologize for imposing my lord, but I have a plan and request assistance from your Computer Science officer.. Using my com system as a wireless network, I can give them access to the Axalon securely without the Maximals interfering.. To alter their defense system's program to target the active Maximals on the ship. They will have no where to hide.

"Well it's about time we got our job done." she sat down and sighed. At least the only thing she had to worry was the vents.

Starshadow reached the end of the river and landed on her feet. The furball was gone. Her body was supposed to be washed up at her current position.

"What the..?" The feline bot roared in rage which echoed, scaring off the birds. Saber has escaped her fate of death again. Another familiar scent was caught. Sonar... Her optics glowed brightly in red. Starshadow lost her temper and fired out electricity bolts to the near by trees, burning them. Why did he have to ruin everything?! She almost had the Maximal. Why does it always have to be him, of all the bots on this planet?!

Starshadow snarled and picked up a rock, "I won't let you off you sneaky flying ball of fur! If you ever dare come back to the Darksyde or show yourself in my sight, I will eviscerate you slowly and watch you die!" she crushed the rock after finishing what she has to say and flew back to the battlefield in case any Maximal tried to escape.

Rhinox planted his feet on the floor and wrapped his arms under the supportive beams that had fallen from the demo charge, lifting them one by one to clear the entrance to the corridor. Wires dangled and sparked from the ceiling and walls, everything was charred. Even if the Maximals managed to survive what seemed to be their final battle in this war, would they even have anything left of their ship to protect them? Clearing the path, the engineer examined the sliced and crushed wires and cables on the floor that had been feeding data from the now damaged console and miracle machine in the bridge to the blank protoform in the stasis pod next door. Rhinox seemed to stare at them with a blank expression, his optics distant. Had they lost him? Was it too late? Optimus... Every time the Maximals tried getting ahead, the Predacons constantly knocked them back down again and again. His hands balled into large fists in fury. He wanted to check on the status of the pod but thought it too risky to draw anymore attention to it. So far the Preds had completely ignored it in the other room or hadn't even noticed.

"They are at the defensive position. Umbra is still suffering from the effects of the tranquilizers. He won't be fighting for awhile. But I do believe we should do our best to get all the Predacons and all able-bodied Maximals outside. The Axalon can't take much more and we don't want anything too sensitive to be..."

Looking ahead down the hall, the Predacons were long gone. He could probably trace their signatures and find out where they went but for now he had other things to address. "We have to stay here and protect the Axalon. If we lose our ship, we'll lose everything in this war," Rhinox said to Whitegrazer.

"Give it time."

His red optics glanced at Whitegrazer's hand on his shoulder and then to her hopeful eyes, or at least the one, before giving her a nod and turning away. In so many ways she was just like Optimus, injured as she was and still optimistic and encouraging, and it helped him push forward. Walking over to one of the many damaged consoles, Rhinox started punching in commands to try and get it working before turning around and looking at the three females; Whitegrazer, Aurora and Frilla. "You three head outside and provide back-up for the others out there. Bring in the wounded. Things should be quiet in here for now," he assured them. ((OOC: Silverbolt needs to be brought in.)) In truth he should be out there fighting as well, but seeing how things were going in this terrible battle, he feared he might be their last defense in this onslaught, especially if Orcariner had been severely wounded. And what about Ironclaw? Airazor?

Returning his attention to the console, the cracked monitor flickered on and some wavy data started to upload on the screen. Damaged keys and controls, the occasional blink and static of the monitor, but at least it was working. His optics narrowed when he noticed the shields had been disabled again and they had been cut off from their wireless network. Rhinox could only assume it was Umbra and Cecaelia. Where are you...? Instead of trying to find them, he tried overriding their commands with his own higher-ranking authorizations.

Meanwhile... "DNA sequence processing complete. Beast mode rendering... Complete. TransMetal interface acquired. Vehicle mode rendering..." The blank protoform within the stasis pod began molding, shifting, shaping into a bot. Color appeared and design and textures. A robotic head with lifeless optics, but with more ape added to it, somewhat resembled Optimus Primal. The shoulders, back, chest, arms, hands, legs and feet were formed now, clearly showing a tall, muscular new Maximal. The spark had been placed inside the abdomen.

"Optimus, I don't know if you can hear or feel me, but we are waiting for you. We will hold them as long as we can. Hopefully, that will be enough.

There was no response to Whitegrazer's reach. Silence. No feeling or connection reaching back to her. "Complete. Calibrating flight abilities and navigation systems... Complete. Acquiring weapons and weapons systems..." The pod had been well on its way before the console in the command center had been destroyed, as well as the cables. They were no longer needed for the success of the leader's resurrection. All that could stop it now was loss of power to the pod, tampering with the pod's computer, or destroying the whole thing along with the body inside. "Complete. All codes and data tracks received. All systems functional. Initializing lifeform's internal computer start-up..."

The sneer that had been decorating Megatron's face ever since his large foe had managed to seek shelter inside the Maximal base, immediately disappeared upon hearing the news. At least certain of his troops were following the plan he had devised. This Umbra, although new to his team, was proving useful.

"Excellent work," the tyrant responded to his operative within the Maximal base, "Rest assured you will not require to remain hidden for long."

Megatron then gazed upon the Axalon a short distance away, watching as the shimmer from the shields suddenly vanished.

Oh yessss!

His hand clenched into a fist as he visualized crushing the remaining Maximals who had taken shelter inside their base.

"Tarantulas," he demanded, opening his com link to the scientist, "Their shields are down. You know what to do."

Aurora nodded, not saying anything as her optics flocked between the still smoking console and Rhinox. She wasn't entirely sure what the mechanic was up to, but he rarely shared his plans with others until they were completed whether it was due to liability of the troops or not to give anyone false hope. All she knew was her larger comrade had something planned, even if that meant he would not be there alongside the others while they fought their wave through the crazed forces of Predacons currently closing in on them.

A faint crackling sound then caught her attention, causing the ermine's ears to perk up, and within moments the slight humming from the generators that powered the shields shut down.

She cast a quick, concerned look at Rhinox. "Did we just lose our shields..?"

However she did not wait for the answer, realizing that they had precious little time to get to their wounded friends and get them inside while Rhinox worked on getting the shields back up. The Predacons would surely not pass up on such an opportunity.

Aurora left the command center as quickly as her legs would let her, turning the corner and jumping down on the half descended ramp to get outside.

As bad as things had seen inside, they were in fact much worse outside the base. Random shots were flying everywhere, some hitting their now unprotected base and causing debris to fly everywhere. A still form on the ground a very short distance from the base caught her attention. It appeared to be a wolf/bird hybrid of sorts.

Dread filled her as she approached, immediately thinking it was Feralnight who had been shot down.

Yet as she came closer, the differences between the two became clearer. It was not any Maximal nor Predacon she had encountered, at least..

Well knowing she would be unable to lift the creature, she merely knelt down next to him to check on his condition. As much as she feared it could be an unknown Predacon, seeing someone in such poor condition tugged at her Maximal circuits, prompting her instincts to help to emerge.
