BIO: Tantrum prefers using brute force and threats in situations in which reason would suffice. He's been known to knock a building down when all he had to do was turn a doorknob to get inside. Give him a can of Kremzeek™ energy drink with the tab pulled off, and he'll quickly devolve through frustration to crazed screaming to smashing the recalcitrant can to a splattered soup of oily drink and metal shavings. Such outbursts are common, and they usually end with a pile of smoking rubble, and Tantrum in the middle.

With a double-barrel railgun mounted on his chest, Tantrum's role is clear -- to bring the pain. He has plenty of armament to do just that. His railgun fires solid slug or high explosive rounds at speeds up to Mach 10. However, for full power and accuracy, Tantrum has to deploy the additional support struts housed in his legs. Otherwise, a full power shot out of both barrels is likely to create a Tantrum-shaped trench going back 100 feet.

For whatever reason, Tantrum's onboard computer modulated his speech circuits to speak with a heavy Russian accent. This is perhaps due to his beast mode consisting of a Russian Pied Cow.

Biography: In the water, you see what seems to be a legendary creature. Not quite a mermaid but definitely not human. It is a Cybertronian with more of an android look. One of the beast warriors, this femme was one of the few in the marine patrol. Long, waist length hair of a pale pastel pinks and blues match her armor that is the colors of the oceans wonders. On the ankles of her armor are fins, only out when in the water and giving off the effect that she is an actual mermaid, when walking on land she is able to control her elegant and long ankle fins to wrap around her lower legs and her feet. Her hips are decorated in more elegant fins that create a bit of a skirt effect; her beast mode is a leafy sea dragon. Leafy sea dragons are a species of sea horses that are covered in tons of leaf-like fins that serve as camouflage in order to hide from predators. In robot mode, the head of the sea horse splits in two, each side going on her hips.
On her shoulders and knees are even more of the, yet again, elegant leaf-like fins and parts of the sea horse body. Unlike most of the transformers, she tends to show off more cleavage and ‘skin’ that armor.
Her weapons consist of a beautiful bow with energon arrows and bladed fins on her arms. On her head is a crown of crystalized fins that are decorated with seashells, each seashell symbolizes her family members she lost to X. Her voice can lure anyone weak minded to her with promises of love pleasure only to show her rage once they are distracted by delivery a fatal blow.
Her spark mate is Depth Charge, the only person she has left from Omicron and Rugby. By his side, she tracks down and fights X since he was the one to kill her family and friends. Depth Charge pays her more attention than the others and feels like he can talk to her about anything and everything but he tries not to let it distract him even though he is protective of her since she is the only thing he has left of Omicron.
In her free time, Aphrodite collects seashells and many other treasures she finds in the ocean.

Weapons: Bow and energon arrows, fin blades on her arms and legs.

Abilities: Depending on how weak the enemy is, she can lure them to her/distract them by singing (what Primal ends up calling) a siren's song.

Weaknesses: She has anger issues when the enemy mentions any of her loved ones, especially the ones who are no longer living.
-She tends to try and protect her team mates as much as possible which usually ends up getting her greatly distracted.

Sample Post: Aphrodite pokes her head up out of the water behind some rocks, watching as Quickstrike and Waspinator make their way through the area on the shore. Softly at first, she sings a song that gradually gets louder. A smile graces her lips when she manages to catch one of them with her voice.
Aphrodite crawled up on onto one of the many rocks and reaches her hand to him, waiting for him to grab it so she could pull him to her and attack his spark directly.
Without warning, Waspinator tackled the fuzor before he could take the femme’s hand. Furious, Aphrodite growls then grabs her bow and aims an energon arrow at Waspinator. Once she hits him and sees that she had managed some damage, she dives back under the water to continue her never ending search for X.

I’m not sure he’s still a mercenary/interrogator. Soldier? Warrior? Or is he still supposed to know interrogation?
Aside from that, o.k. I feel like, maybe he should have a rank of 6? If he was a military leader who’s ruthlessly willing to ensure missions get seen through to completion, I could see Megatron appreciating his work.

Xychona:
Seems well-designed to me, but I have two things to mention. Firstly, I’m wondering about her personality… I’m fine with her being sadistic (the poison laced knives and bunny eating seem to point to her being sadistic, but maybe you didn’t mean them that way at all) and acting like Harlee Quinn (and again, I recognize you said you aren’t sure if she’ll act like Harlee Quinn). And I’m fine with her being one of the sane Predacons, who quit her psychology work because of the stress of dealing with challenging patients. It just seems to me like she couldn’t have both of those personalities at the same time. But maybe I’m reading her biography the wrong way.

Secondly, like NaitoKage pointed out, the teleportation ability seems a bit outside of the realm of Beast Wars abilities. Maybe she could keep it as a sort of final resort? Maximals and Predacons are all about energy efficiency, but I imagine they could still expend a lot of energy when they needed to. So I could see teleportation happening once, and depleting almost all of her resolves as a result.

But… she’s already a martial artist/acrobat/psychology expert/silent flyer/banshee screamer/echolocater, with a laser rifle, poison knives and twin arm blades. I really think teleportation is unnecessary. She can wreck people without it.

I could totally see teleportation in season three, though, like you said. I mean, if Blackarachnia gets telekinesis…

If she's with Maximals, I think a rank of 3 would be a good starting point, and if she's with the Predacons, a 4. I think these could easily go down or up, however, depending on how her character is presented.

I like the idea of the emotional distance in this character. I’m a little scared of the sheer amount of toys she’s got. Like, I know Icebreaker was loaded with gadgets, and Glowstick was too (I see a trend!), but she snipes with electricity, or she uses high explosives, or shrapnel explosions, or smoke bombs, or she gets you from underground. And she can be a force in aquatic fighting (her electro-laser would work underwater, right?) and heal virtually any wound on the battlefield.

I get it, because you have her function as “ranger”, and that’s what she comes across as. Rangers are incredibly versatile. And having seen you play in the past, I trust you not to abuse things, or at least to just push imaginative boundaries within reason (leviathan, behemoth unit, etc.) I’m just saying, somewhere in there… scary.

I can concede waiting on a rank until she sees play in the game, but I feel like a 3 might be appropriate for the moment.

Aphrodite:
A few things: Firstly, as NaitoKage pointed out, any romance between Depth Charge and Aphrodite is going to have be something you and Depth Charge’s player come to an agreement on. If the player of Depth Charge doesn’t want a romantic relationship, then that is their right, because players can’t dictate the actions characters they don’t own (if you end up playing Depth Charge, of course, getting his player’s agreement is going to be very easy…).

Which leads into the second thing- whether a character is allured by Aphrodite’s siren calling should be entirely up to their player. You said in her biography that this depends on how weak the enemy is, which does allow for other players to simply determine their characters aren’t weak enough, so I know you aren’t establishing control of other characters right now. But I figured I should give you a head up so you don’t expect the wrong thing going into the game.

I still think she needs a vehicle mode since she’s transmetal.

And lastly, you are now at 49 points. You don’t have to add on another one, but if you wanted to use it, there you go.

I could ask the person that ends up rping as Depth Charge if he or she would be interested in it but it's up to them. I don't want anyone to do something they don't want to do. Same with the luring, it's just a smexy attack sooo yeah lol I'm not going to go over board with anything and I'm still new to rping so help me out of I screw up, kk?
She can be a team player but mostly stays in the ocean or with Depth Charge for the most part. She's nicer and a little bit childish acting at times when she's with the group, though but nothing major or anything.

Heh, gadgets are fun. Though yes, I know the character could be game breaking.. I know all too well, I've used a character 10 years ago with some similar things. IE:Drill missiles, but as you've said.. I tend to have some self restraint. I went over the profile after I made it and started picking things out or changing things. I don't think the electro laser rifle works well underwater, but will fry anything in the water being shot at.. I'll ditch the rifle and reallocate the firepower to reflect it's loss.


As for Aprhodite, we discussed on Skype (OOP, Alak, and me).

Her singing ability will use Courage vs Courage, Courage will be seen as a "Will" stat for the character. The higher the will, the more resistant they are to the effects of the song. So I wouldn't be surprised of Manterror goes insane and tries to cut his own head off on the battlefield. The effect seems to put them in a dazed state apparently.

As for her vehicle mode, which I think she forgot. It was some sort of hovercraft jet thing.. Kinda like Megatron's.

Biography: Before Xychona got herself caught in the middle of the Beast Wars, she was a psychologist but retired as the stress of her job was too much for her. There were some incidents where some of her patients went insane and ballistic due to their mental condition and tried to kill her. Before she was a psychologist, she had military training, cybertronian martial art training and acrobatic/gymnastic training. Few months after her retirement as a psychologist, she joined a maximal exploration mission even though she was a predacon at creation. Of course being around with the maximals didn't bother her but it rarely made her feel like an o
dd-one-out. Out of curiousity, she opened an empty stasis pod, wondering why there were protoforms on the Axalon. When the Darksyde attacked the Axalon, Xychona fell into the pod, trapped inside with her datapad some other portable tools carried by her. The only time she panicked was when the pods were jettisoned into space. It took a long time for her pod to crashland on the planet and get herself unknowingly involved in the beast wars.

Weapons:
- Durabyllium throwing knives
These knives can be coated with liquid cybervenom. It can be equiped on her wings.

- Laser battle rifle (Semi automatic)

- Sonic cry
It messes your head (example: nauseating bots) and targeting systems (like Nightscream). It can be a sonic blast.

- Twin arm blades
Blades that are equiped on her arms. (Like Witchblade or BloodRayne's weapon)

Abilities:
- Echo location
Banshee can send out sound waves to "see" things. Especially in pitch black places which requires night vision.

- Thrusters are designed to be silent so it makes the cloaking ability effective when flying and her recon job easier.

- Sensitive hearing
Her hearing is so sensitive, she could hear one's sparkbeat. Usually used when not in combat.

Weaknesses:
- Sudden bright lights
- One slice on her wing membranes could ground her.
- Loud booming or clashing sounds near her audios would make her stunned or dazed for a while

Banshee was studying new flowers she had found when she was exploring the forest. "Hmm..." she took a closer look at the petals, "small, purple with lots of petals."
She took another flower which was lying on a flat boulder, "Small and blue with six petals. Lovely." she put both of the flowers in her compartment to bring it back to her cave to add it to her new collection of flowers. Next week, she would be at the beach to find seashells of all shapes and sizes. There is so much to learn, so much to discover..

In-combat
"I signed up the exploration mission to relax and explore. If you wish to fire lasers and throw bombs all around the place, I suggest you do it somewhere else..." Banshee said to the two leaders while narrowing her lavender indigo optics.
"If you don't side with the Predacons, you SHALL DIE!" Megatron was about to fire his tailgun but the bat femme quickly pulled out a durabyllium knife and threw it in the barrel, causing a backfire when he tried to shoot her. Banshee let out her audio piercing cry before transforming into her beast mode and take-off to a safe place.

"Predacons...they never learn from our ancestors' mistake..."

Xychona is her pre-BW name. Bots usually call her Doctor Xychona.
She's not sadistic. Having poison laced knives is to cripple her enemies if she gets seriously injured so that she could make her escape. Bunny eating is part of her beast mode glitch thing. I decided what personality to give her, it's not Harley Quinn but just a serious femme with a lil sense of humor, a sane predacon, less annoying than Starshadow. I'm keeping teleportation for season 3.

Just a note: Durabywhatever is the hardest material in the TF universe. (I think. I read it somewhere in the TF wiki)

Hmm...quite true. She'll be useless if she's drowning in water.

For the old maximal team reaction (Optimus, Rhinox, Rattrap and Cheetor), I'll just let the players post what they want to post. I'm imagining Rattrap would be like "STINKING PREDACON! I knew she was a traitor!" and stuff. For her allegiance, the factions will just have to try their luck. Banshee/Xychona is just the type who welcomes anybody(Maximals and Predacons) in her cave if they needed any psychological help or needed someone to talk to. There will be free energon for all. She'll kick bots out if they are using violence in her lovely second home.

Function sounds fine so far. Good luck with fixing Arachnitron and Rampage.

Stats.. Add up fine for a normal type.
Weapons.. Not really a problem, I'd put Sonic Cry as the ability, and Echo Location is included since.. that's what Bats do.

silent thrusters are fine and possible though if someone is close enough they'll hear her, but it says something about cloaking? You have no cloaking ability listed.

There's no problem with the Durabyllium throwing knives. I assume that just means they wont be destroyed if shot by a energy blast, and maybe can hold up to blocking a energy sword or something.


Hm.. alotta people using sound attacks. Xychona and Aphrodite are following in Glowstick and Sonar's footsteps, but in much different ways.

The cloaking system can run for 5 minutes, upon which it requires a 20 minute recharge.If she has to recharge that system 3 times, she'll require refueling or be too tired out to keep using it. The system bends light, but only bends light for her, She can't expand this to make someone else invisible, even if she wraps her wings around them. Her weapons can not become invisible, but when stored away they can (probably inside of her body or subspace or whatever people wanna use.)

Because she bends light, she is invisible to radar,radio(Yes,no radio communications), and visible light spectrum, but this also means she can not see any visible light spectrum while it is on and be forced to use echolocation as she will be blind. She is not invisible to Echolocation, and those thrusters will make her light up like a road flare to any thermal detection system. If she is in the rain,smoke,fog, a dust storm, or something of that effect, it will reduce the effect of her invisibility making her easier to detect as it bounces,sticks, or slides off her body.

You are not sonically cloaked like Manterror, you do make noise walking or running on the ground and have to be aware of that, you leave footprints and can have mud collect on your feet to leave a trail. If you make an attack with your sonic cry,or laser battle rifle you're invisibility will stop working for a moment due to the energy requirement to use them. If you use your throwing knives, they will be seen in your hands and going through the air if the person is looking in your direction.

If you agree to all the limitations come as a weakness to invisibility, you can have it.

O.k. I approve of Drillclaw, but again, the rank. 1? Is that under the whole... 1's-are-private-class, and you're think of Drillclaw as a private due to her newness to the team?

That's still pretty powerful, especially considering Aphrodite's courage is at a 9.

If I'm the only one who's uncomfortable with it, I can definitely concede. But I personally think that if such an ability is going to exist, each author ought to be able to respond to it how they see fit, rather than feeling bound to a result dictated by a specific stat (or even collection of stats).

Yeah.. she raised her courage because she had so many points left over. -_-

As for the attack, it seems it's against sexuality also. So.. most females (which is the majority of the characters I believe at this point) are immune to that effect, and certain males may be immune to the effect. I imagine it'd also be messed up from interfering loud sounds..like gunfire, music, ect.

Hm.. So that means it would be most effective against.. Ironclaw. Though Aphrodite also decided to go with normal as she couldn't think of a Transmetal mode.. so she may have to reduce some points anyway. *facepalm*


As for Drillclaw..1 is fine. Heck.. I may eventually get rid of her considering how many complaints I've already received on the character in it's current state from weapons,beastmode, and even remaining skills.

Okay. Apparently Aphrodite's stats add up now. We'll go with your recommendation of the Author having a choice on how effective it is on their character, as many characters may not be effected by the ability. Approved.
