Scorponok's jaw dropped as Sonar's body was twisted around as if he were controlled by an unseen puppeteer. The Predacon just looked ridiculous in the air like that and there was still no sign of his opponent. Without warning, two energy pulses appeared near the bat and punched straight into Scorponok's chest. Not even able to make a sound, he was swiftly thrown back into a boulder with an audible crack. All four missiles involuntarily ejected from his claws but fortunately they simply spiraled into the air and exploded far from the energon field. Blackness overcame him as Scorponok slumped over losing consciousness.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The booms overhead awoken him. Terrorsaur groaned as he strained to pull his beak out of the ground. Due to the complex similarities of his beast mode to its original animal, he was able to taste and smell the dirt that was compacted into his face.

"Where... where am I?" he asked himself.

A hiss was heard not too far away. Turning, Terrorsaur saw Sonar's oddly convulsed body in the air. He appeared to be fighting with himself, but looking down a bit farther, the pterodactyl Predacon noticed that Scorponok was unconscious with smoke rising from his chest and claws. Terrorsaur was many things but stupid was not one of them. He knew that the explosions that he heard came from the lieutenant but the chest injury was dealt by a mysterious foe. Sonar did not have the firepower to penetrate Scorponok's armor to such a degree, and since Sonar himself was struggling at the moment, that meant that their attacker was cloaked.

"Well," grinned Terrorsaur, "That's something new. Terrorize!"

Shoulder cannons drew out. The missile launcher was raised. His eyes burned bright with a violet aura.

"Come out and play, ghoul!" he laughed at the invisible opponent.

Terrorsaur proceeded to blast Sonar with everything he had on him. The bat was weird, but not weird enough to perform such an aerial dance above Scorponok's body. The cloaker was obviously wrestling with him. If Terrorsaur were to shoot Sonar, then he would also shoot the cloaker.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Optimal Optimus Primal wrote: "Let's move out," ordered Primal. Converting to his beast mode, he followed the others outside of the Nomad on his knuckles toward the field. It was, indeed, a lot of energon out there. His brown eyes gazed across the small and large crystals that littered the ground. Then his attention was driven toward Sonar not too far off in the sky, as well as the Predacons' transport.

"Orcariner, when we get closer, see if you can detect Sonar's opponent with your echo sonar. I get the feeling he's able to follow its location," the gorilla suggested.
"Understood, sir," replied Orcariner.

His attention was quickly turned to the four missiles that spiraled out of control towards the sky. They quickly exploded out of the vicinity but it was unmistakable that more Predacons had engaged the unknown enemy.

"Looks like we have to hurry."

Pushing forward, Orcariner proceeded towards the field. He opened his mouth and let loose a stream of sonar. It was a remarkable feat that killer whales could perform and he recognized its potential the instant he emerged from his stasis pod. Although far from complete, Orcarinar had been working on improving this ability to the point that he would someday fully incorporate it into his robot form. His radar was powerful enough to have the range of a starfigher's, but it only provided data on a 2-dimensional plane. He would also have to have previously encounter the Cybertronian so that it would register the individual's identity otherwise he would have the generic Maximal and Predacon insignias. Furthermore, while not impossible, it was fairly difficult to notice someone in beast mode unless if he were to concentrate on his radar. Orcariner's echo location was able to work past these obstacles. Regardless of terrain, registry, beast mode, or energon interference, he would be able to have his software formulate 3-Dimensional images of a transformer in range as well as its surroundings. Perhaps if they ever make it back to Cybertron, he would join the security force and help hunt down wanted criminals. Identifying them would be easy as long as they provided a picture for him to work with. The mere concept of such an idea excited the killer whale and gave him something to look forward to in the future. Focusing back on his mission, Orcariner blasted another stream of sonar as he came nearer to the energon field. He could make out four individuals as well as a very large object on the other end of it.

"Optimus," he called out to the gorilla who was close behind him, "I'm picking up images of the Predacon transport. We already know Sonar is out there. There's a Predacon I believe to be Terrorsaur. I'm not sure on that one since I've only seen him once before. Scorponok is down there and he looks incapacitated. There's a fourth... and you're probably not going to like this... well, you're definitely not going to like this. The fourth looks exactly like you!"

Wintersong watched on the monitor, still worried about this new mysterious foe that seemed to be taking pleasure in terrorizing the beast warriors. It was unusual. Sighing she leaned back a bit in the chair and ear twitching slightly as she heard Tigatron but for the moment to pay much attention, even failing to notice the other white tiger at the time. A lot was going through her processor and what could happen. Shaking her head she pushed back her doubtful thoughts and scratched her chin this time catching the mech out of the corner of her optic.

"Hey Tigatron." She greeted, ears perking forward a bit in curiosity. Though he was a white tiger like her she had never really met Tigatron nor actually talked to him. Wintersong had been there when retrieving his pod but even then she had left on her own shortly before they had gotten to the Avalon.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Snow Trix turned when Glowstick came out, having been listening while watching the monitor. Her optics flashed with excitement, looking forward to getting into some action but at the moment knew it would not be likely right now. Tail flicking behind her Snow Trix put a hand up as Glowstick handed her the strange goggles and examining them curiously after taking the grenades. "Hopefully we won't have to." She said before looking up. "And maybe we'll be lucky."
((Is the Vok Primal visible? cuz I've been missin out too much.))
Starshadow panted as soon as the pain vanished, she looked up at the sky and noticed Sonar was acting weird, as if he was fighting the air. Maybe it's Optimus again. she thought.
The catbot ran to the nearest hills where she could get a clear view of the bat. She pulled out her gun and aimed at where Sonar's attacking. When the time was right, she fired four times.
(No, Vok Primal is still invisible. Terrorsaur is just attacking because he assumes even if he takes Sonar it'll take Vok Primal with him... You're basically just shooting at Sonar.)
After a short while Frilla finally finished and looked back, waiting for Glowstick to explain what he ha dplanned and finally spoke. "Echo system is ready for use Glowstick. May not be the top of the line system but it should work to a decent degree." She said.
Steelclaw agreed with the plan. A part of him did indeed wish to go outside and use his own guns, but knew it would accomplish little. He couldn't see the non-Maximal threat and he wouldn't be able to stay in robot mode for very long to deal with any threats.
In the Leviathan, on the other hand, Frilla had just established an echolocation system, the energon radiation wouldn't be any problem, and Steelclaw would be able to control a gun which boasted far greater power than anything he was personally carrying. He would clearly be giving up a tactical advantage if he went out on the field.
There was, however, one thing that bugged him.
"If you don't want to draw the thing's attention, wouldn't gaining altitude- even if just for monitoring, and especially if we fired this ship's guns- be counterproductive?" he contended.
"I do want to get in the air, especially if I can get a lock on... well, whatever we're gonna call it. And I don't mind its attention here so much, but I think that attention will come, and he might just have the potential of taking this ship down in a confrontation. Are you still fine with that?"
* * *
Cheetor had been running for a small time when he came on a bunch of small hills interspersed with energon crystals. Getting to one of the lower parts of the land, he got on his com-link.
"Feralnight," he said, hoping the interference wouldn't block him out, "I see one of the Preds. Leather-wings is in air and looking kind of agitated, like he's fighting someone. Have you spotted any of the others?"
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.
Glowstick slid the goggles down over his optics testing them out for a moment, a teal display showing the environment around him, devoid of shadows. He then turned the goggles off sliding them up as he heard Steelclaw. The reason I suggested that is because I believe that creature will be busy. However.. if we can't stop such a creature, then the horde currently moving towards it have no chance.if we need a name for it.. then we shall call it Ghost. In any case, our main objective is still mining the Energon. If you need to open fire on anything, then we've hit a last resort.. and if the Leviathan's guns can't take the ghost down, then throw it into the energon field with the manipulators and blow that up.
Glowstick then looked towards Frilla taking his goggles off and placing them on her head You wont hear this often in our group, but thank you.
He then leaned inside the cockpit and flipped a switch, the cargobay door opening audibly. Then activated his comlink to Waspinator Glowstick to Waspinator, exit through the Cargo bay and ask further information from Snowtrix when outside.
(Edited post. If the Leviathan deploys too early, it'll break the game and the Maximals and other Predacons will have nothing to do. Specially if Clear Convoy/Vok Primal is killed by the Leviathan..)
Icebreaker followed the others outside, he didn't respond to Primal's argument as he was right. He then looked surprised as he heard Orcariner using his sonar to detect the activities of the enemies ahead of them. His red eyes then glanced towards the display of firepower from Starshadow and Terrorsaur towards Sonar, disgusted by the action taking place, his eyes narrowing. They'd attack their own comrade to attempt to take down this fake?..It may provide opportunity.. but even I don't think I could do that.
Frilla picked the goggles off her head looking at them for a moment, "No problem, just doing my job." She replied examining the goggles curiously, "Interesting goggles, odd looking but still interesting." She said.
-----------------------------------
Feralnight carefully moved to the side of a hill, avoiding some energon crystals and looking ahead, partly crouched. "Yea a bit. looks like someone shot down the scorpion guy and seems screechy is back up and fighting again." Feralnight replied to Cheetor seeing them from her location but wanted a better look. "I'm taking to the air, we might get some visual." Spreading her wings at last Feralnight took flight but she avoided going too far from the others unless giving the order.
Venatrix heard the sound of gunfire in the distance.
So a few Maximals where still outside?
That would mean the Maximals she saw, since she entered this sector, where only a few of the Maximals in this sector.
Something big was going on.
Back on Cybertron, before she met Dinobot, she would've terminated the Maximals that where of no use to her.
Now she felt like waiting on what was inevitably coming her way.
She kept her mind on the 2 Maximals in front of her, when she heard a weird noise.
A sonar had been shot from the direction of the Maximal transport.
Had she been discovered?
No. She was to well covered by the bush to make out her feline form.
It did make her feel uneasy.
Now she couldn't move from her spot, if she wanted to stay hidden.
More Maximals exited the transport she heard, and fought the curiosity to take a look.
It was important to know what she is up against, so Venatrix took the chance and moved her head towards the transport.
She was still well hidden, but the change in the bush its form would be noticed if the one keeping an eye on the screen was paying any attention to the small things.
It didn't really matter. Venatrix was starting to feel the urge rising for some serious combat.
And if the Maximals found her form hiding in the bush, only a few feet from Cheetor and Fearalnight, the current tension would ensure a battle between her and a few Maximals.
Something else caught her attention as well.
She heard the jet-engines that where distinctly identified by her as those from the Maximal commander Optimus Primal, coming from the direction of the battlefield.
However, she saw that one of the Maximals that exited the transport, was the large gorilla.
This spiked her curiosity.
But still she waited and kept observing the Maximals.
Cheetor and Fearalnight where moving further away from her, as she stayed at her hiding spot, watching the other Maximals.
-----------------------------
Back at the Predacon base, Black Arachnia returned after Megatron sent her on a mission to inspect a cave where he expected a large number of raw energon crystals to be at.
It was an easy mission, and she even installed a few energon inhibitors to disrupt any energon radiation to escape the cave, and possibly set off a Maximal probe.
She proved yet again to get things done on her own, even when she was ordered to only scout for the energon, instead of securing the site.
After transforming to robot mode, the Predacon female walked into the command center, and tossed a datapad into Megatron's lap.
"Location has been scouted, and the energon has been secured. I was hoping for something a bit more... well... interesting, then doing a job even Waspinator could do with his optic sensors offline."
She noticed a yellow rubber duck lying on the ground in front of her, and kicked it away, making it squeak unhappily as it landed back on the ground.
"I'm tired of playing your scout drone. Next time you can do it yourself grapeface."
It was very clear she was quite unhappy doing the dirty, and above everything else, most boring jobs there where.
Yes she was the youngest in this team, but it was time they started to give her some well deserved respect.
Not that Megatron was the worst. Tarantulas was far worst then the Tyrannosaur.
-----------------------------
Inside the Maximal crashed ship, the Axalon, Valkyrie was monitoring the scanners for any disturbing readings.
Her recovery was a lengthy one after her mission to retrieve a few crashed pods at the other side of this planet.
She never knew how she'd gotten back from her mission.
All she knew it had been more the a few planetary rotations that she spent inside the CR-chamber.
While in stasis, she had flashes from a distant past. A past she had experienced.
She saw a semi-organic creature, with robotic tentacles, and 5 faces that switched from time to time.
It moved around on a energy beam, and had a few robotic servants helping out with what looked like an other robotic body.
One of the drone like servants turned towards her, revealing what she clearly identified as an Autobot insignia.
The drone reached for a button, and suddenly her vision of the past, her past, ended.
Valkyrie replayed this flash of memory over and over, but didn't knew what it signified.
When Optimus Primal returns, she might ask him if he knew what these flashes meant.
(( OOC: N-H, what an interesting idea you present with Sonar. But would a Predacon like him really help the Maximal leader? He might as well resign from the Preds after that and join the Maximals. :wink: I'll keep it in mind. I don't really know yet when I'm going to have OP duke it out with the Vok. ))
"Optimus," "I'm picking up images of the Predacon transport. We already know Sonar is out there. There's a Predacon I believe to be Terrorsaur. I'm not sure on that one since I've only seen him once before. Scorponok is down there and he looks incapacitated.
Primal listened to the Orca as his eyes surveyed what they could in Sonar's and Terrorsaur's direction. It certainly was odd to see Sonar moving around as if he was attached to strings like a puppet. It wasn't long after when he heard two shots fired toward the ground that must have been aimed at Scorponok. Primus, what were they dealing with?
There's a fourth... and you're probably not going to like this... well, you're definitely not going to like this. The fourth looks exactly like you!"
Huh? The gorilla's brows sank in confusion and uncertainty. "That's impossible," he firmly told Orcariner. And rather disturbing. Was the whale's sensors registering the data correctly? Were they accurate? How could it possibly look like Optimus? Why? Where did it come from?
They'd attack their own comrade to attempt to take down this fake?..It may provide opportunity.. but even I don't think I could do that.
Along with Icebreaker, Primal watched Terrorsaur's reaction firing at Sonar, or rather trying to miraculously hit the... other "Optimus". It didn't surprise him that the Predacon flier would carelessly fire upon one of their own like that. Terrorsaur had a bit of an ego at times that sometimes challenged Megatron's, and often overreacted with his firepower when he was greatly aggravated. In any case, it was foolish of him to fire in Sonar's direction like he had. His shots were most likely going to hit the bat instead, who might be the Predacons' only way of "seeing" the invisible bot.
On the bright side, if this being really did look and was built exactly like Optimus, then the Maximals would know almost everything about him. Strength, endurance, abilities, weapons, speed. Important tactical information they could use to their advantage. The only problem was being able to see him.
-----
Before the Vok could follow through with his punch to Sonar's lower back, he was suddenly slugged right in his face by the Predacon's head. ...He wasn't quite expecting that. Having released Sonar from the sudden and harsh hit, he slowly hovered backwards away from him before stopping in the air, rubbing his face as if it would make the aching pain go away. Suddenly, he felt slashing on his chest. "Argh!" he growled out in pain, even in Optimus Primal's voice, and he instinctively grabbed both of Sonar's wrists and pull his dagger-like claws away from his wounds as they sparked a little.
"Come out and play, ghoul!"
Triggerd by Terrorsaur's shout, the "Ghost" looked just to his side and saw a barrage of firepower heading right for both him and Sonar. With everything happening so quickly, he sucked up the pain from his chest injuries, spun Sonar around to face Terrorsaur's shots and held the bat in front of him with his wrists behind his back, attempting to use him as a shield from Terrorsaur's firepower.
-----
"Hey Tigatron."
Tigatron offered her a warm smile of acceptance. Glancing around the bridge, he said, "I am not used to these kinds of enclosures. And I'm not used to sitting back and watching my fellow comrades put themselves in harm's way." Perhaps making casual conversation with Wintersong would help ease her restlessness, especially if they were topics she could relate to. But he didn't want to distract her from her duty either, so he watched the same monitor she did, in case she'd take her optics off of it and see him focusing on it instead of her. It would subconsciously have her attention drawn back to the scanners.
"Well, that's just prime!"
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote: Huh? The gorilla's brows sank in confusion and uncertainty. "That's impossible," he firmly told Orcariner.
"I wish that were the case," replied Orcariner, "but my sonar is recreating a visual model on my interface. The cloaked warrior is physically identical. I'm picking up a dual-barreled, wrist-mounted weapon that has the same cover design as yours. While there is no immediate evidence, I'd say we should be cautious and assume that this guy's got everything you have. Considering his ability to conceal himself, it may not be a far-fetched guess that he may have even more utilities at his disposal."
A intense barrage of fire came from Terrorsaur and Starshadow's directions as they proceeded to blast away at their teammate. Orcariner had to agree with Icebreaker that it was indeed a disgusting act. Rather than trying to cooperate with the struggling Sonar, the Predacons would rather risk sending him to kingdom come along with the Primal clone. Orcariner finally stopped at the edge of the energon field. Remaining in beast mode at the moment, he turned body to face Optimus.
"So, this is what I gather. Good news: since he appear to be a clone, we can assume that his strength, firepower, speed, and endurance are identical to yours. Bad news: his strength, firepower, speed, and endurance are identical to yours. We don't know who made him or how they had acquired your data. Therefore, it will be impossible to obtain a full analysis on the cloaker's intelligence and combat skills based on this sole encounter."
Optimus alone had the firepower and durability to tear through the entire Predacon crew, and he had already proved this in the past when Scorponok injected him with a rage venom. Time and time again, Optimus managed to best Megatron in their encounters. Orcariner's played a tank-type role in the Beast Wars, but he doubted that even he could physically overpower Megatron. Should he be forced to engage this alien warrior, the killer whale knew that he would not match the cloaker blow-for-blow.
(Ah Slag. You had to involve the home bases didn't you Vena? :P )
Megatron glanced almost boredly as the young female came towards him throwing the datapad on his lap, his head leaned on his left hand. He then watched as she kicked his rubber ducky, listening to her insolent tone.
Venatrix wrote: "I'm tired of playing your scout drone. Next time you can do it yourself grapeface."
He sat up in his chair lifting up the pad looking it over, then looked towards her with a low chuckle My self.. You seem to be confused about something Blackarachnia.. What we have here, is a chain of command. I give orders, you follow orders. Ofcourse.. if you have problems with this, you can always take it up with our complaint department. he then turned the chair slightly making a gesture towards the lava pit while laughing.
He then turned suddenly grabbing Blackarachnia by the throat Now listen clearly, I will not tolerate your insolent behavior. Nooo.. But as I am not a completely ruthless tyrant, I will reward your success with your life. Yesss... he then tossed her down just as swiftly as he grabbed her.
He then leaned back in his chair in a scowl, but turned more to a pondering face. Though you do bring up a good point about a more.. interesting mission. Yesss.. he then pressed a button on the arm of his chair Leviathan crew, respond. What is your status?
Glowstick was about to respond to Frilla but suddenly fell over in surprise hearing Megatron's voice on the radio, with some static however not as badly as a normal cybertronian as the transports had far more powerful radio equipment. He then got up rushing to the radio Slag, er.. This is the Leviathan, Glowstick speaking. We are currently about to mine the energon, but there have been some setbacks..
Megatron frowned as he heard his Communication officer speak Setbacks? I assume the Maximals? Where is Scorponok?
Uh, Scorponok?.. Probably in Stasis lock by now..
WHAT?!
Alot of things have happened.. The maximals have a transport now, and there's a invisible creature with alot of firepower in the woods out here. We just finished modifying the Leviathans sensors to be able to detect the creature.. Scorponok and Sonar went out to deal with the thing and recover Starshadow and Terrorsaur but--
Megatron then interrupted him .. Your telling me my second in command and a large portion of my Predacons are defeated and that a invisible monster is wrecking havoc around the Energon field?.. This is not acceptable! Nooo.. Fine, Glowstick you're in charge. I'll send additional reinforcements of Waspinator and Blackarachnia to-
Uh, Waspinator is already here.
WHAT?! Who is even left?
Tarantulus and Blackarachnia, since Venatrix is still MIA.
Fine. Megatron out.
Megatron then stood up rather angry over the situation, he then looked down towards Blackarachnia Well you wanted a more interesting mission, go to Sector Gama 039 and meet up with the rest of our Predacon forces and deal with this invisible creature they speak of. I however.. have to deal with a certain spider who did not listen to orders.. Yesss.. Megatron promptly transformed to his beast mode with his tail making a wide sway, walking away in a heavy trudging step.
_________________________________________
Glowstick blinked turning the radio off ... Okay then. Looks like you might be joining up with Blackarachnia out there Snowtrix.
___________________________________
Icebreaker looked towards Optimus as he responded to Orcariner.
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"That's impossible,"
The Penguin then shaked his head Impossible? Hardly. You would know better then us, that time you were captured by that Alien probe. It's like in that movie, attack of the pod bots. The aliens capture you and make a evil clone to replace you, that might be why it can turn invisible! Though why would they bother to send it now instead of back then? Icebreaker then said with a puzzled look.
_______________________________
Rhinox got up from his chair walking towards Valkyrie, then set his hand on her shoulder. You look like you've seen a ghost, is something bothering you? he then said in a friendly warm tone looking down at her and the scanners.
"I don't blame you, sitting back and doing nothing in a situation like this just normally isn't what I do either." Wintersong replied watching the monitor still and only slightly relaxed but she was still itching to get into this battle or the one soon to come. But she looked at the bridge for a moment and smiled, "Guess it is kind of strange again actually. Mean I'm use to enclosures like this transport but lately I have kept away from the Avalon and been running around the wild of this planet. It's quite a beautiful place." She said.
Thinking that over Wintersong guessed she had begun to like the planet. At first she hated it and wanted to go back to Cybertron not be stranded on the dirtball or among organic creatures or plants but with all the wandering she had done she had started to have a new outlook.
"So the wasp and the widow, sounds like a great field trip." Snow Trix muttered and headed to the cargo hold to leave the Levianthan. "Beast mode." Transforming she walked outside, hearing the shots in the distance and sighed. This was going to be a pain in the neck.
Glowstick to Waspinator, exit through the Cargo bay and ask further information from Snowtrix when outside.
Waspintor let out a snort/grunt as he heard Glowsticks voice.
"Waspintor is on his way."
After transforming into his robot mode, he left the cargo bay and found Snowtrix.
"Squidbot told Waspintor to find you and ask for further information, what is going on?" He asked.
* * *
"Argh!"
Sonar smiled at the sound of his pain, he was enjoying this.
"Come out and play, ghoul!"
His right ear twiched at the sound of Terrorsaur's voice, before he react he was spun around and forced to face the comming firepower. He opened his eyes, he knew that he wouldn't be able to put up a sonic shield to protect himself, he knew his wings wouldn't be much of a shield but it was better then nothing. Seconds before the barrage of firepower hit him, his covered himself with his wings, but it two seconds to late. One of the shells skimmed past his right wing and hit him in the gut, exploding on impact.
Slagit... you are so dead Terroraur... He grunted at he felt another blast hit him. So are you feline... His optics flickered before going black then went limp in the Phantom's hold.
((OOC: Hmm, you do have a good point. I think the only reason Sonar would ever help the Maximal leader or any Maximal, is if he got some thing out of it. He is already getting some thing in return for helping Saber-Fang with her little problem.))
((OOC: Just want to point out some things that may make Clear Convoy a more interesting opponent. The OP toys came with a hideous looking mutant face which was visible when you turned his head. We know that raw energon has the ability to temporarily propel a transformer to insane levels of power. Although never used in the show, OP toys also came with a spiked, skull mace. Just some food for thought.))
"Eh?"
Terrorsaur cocked a brow as Sonar slumped in mid-air. He certainly did a number on the bat, but there was no smoke or spark that came from the invisible creature.
"Huh," he said in disbelief, "I missed... well, not really... but where's the ghost?"
Turning his head to Starshadow, who had also opened fire, Terrorsaur simply shrugged with a look of confusion.
