She possesses good logic circuits...

"No. I'm not. But at this point we have all to gain and nothing to lose."

He turned and scratched his ear again.

Why the slag does that keep happening!?

"Moonshine, you are right to think that way. After all, they had turrets arming this device. So whatever it is, its meant to be kept alone. Now, we haven't altered it or tried to use for anything bad, so I can't imagine anything of great impact occurring. On the bright side, we now have gridded maps of this planet."

He smiled and caught his leg before he scratched again.

"For now, that will do. We need a base though."

Icebreaker looked down at the canyon again I dunno, personally I'd rather blow the thing up. But finding the axalon is more important at the moment. Unless you guys are just looking for some sorta temporary shelter..

He then walked over to a tree grabbing onto the trunk pulling it downward as he picked some fruit from it, then released it as the tree swung back into place. He transformed to penguin mode peeling a banana with a flipper, then started to eat it. Little bland in flavor compared to the fish... he then tossed the banana peel behind himself.

Orcariner honestly did not know which course of action would be the best to take. If they left, the alien device would be open for the Predacons to take. If they chose to engage the Predacons, the Maximals would be outnumbered by nearly twice in numbers. They now had a topographic map of the entire world, but without the Axalon's energy signature available, they would be traveling without direction. Should they choose to stay and build a temporary base, the only open area suitable for camp is currently guarded by "hidden" beam turrets.

He shrugged, "Up to you guys."

The Maximal picked off a banana and threw the entire thing into his mouth.

Frilla had lsot interest ing the group and he strange object, climbing from the tree and running over the land in her odd speed. There was plenty to look at on this strange and exotic planet that was so different from ehr home world. Curiosity had gotten the best of Frilla as she sniffed a flower and tapped ehr lower jaw with her small claw. "Interesting." Transforming she took out a datapad writing something down before storing it away and looking at the fowers that looked exactly alike. This could be good later on if any battles came up.

Continuing her walk she heard a buzzing and stopped trying to locate the source of the noise. FInally she found it was a bee nest. Climbing with ease, still in robot mode, Frilla came cautiously closer watching the small insects. It was an odd sight, fat fuzzy bugs with small wings looked like they couldn't fly yet they were. "I wonder..." The femme glanced at her surroudnings wondering if this palnet was truly Prehistoric Earth but merely shurgged ebfore jumping down.

"Well, my vote is for trudging on to a new base."

"There's a fairly heavy amount of foliage in sector 76... and we're in 72... That's about eight miles."

"If we're fortunate, we can find a tree big enough to either burrow into or build something in... It gives us a high ground advantage, or a covering ground advantage."

He sat back calculating for a moment and smiled, lightly scratching his ear again.

He stopped and looked at his paw in mid scratch with teeth bared.

"SLAG!"

He began gnawing it for a moment before returning to the group.

"Sorry... instincts... But as I said. It's a win-win situation."

The penguin walked over to a tree tapping it with his flipper It'd take forever to hollow one of these out.. it'd be easier to cut parts off them, dig a trench and use these to form supports while using the sod and debree to hide the work done. He then looked towards Xzuk chewing on his own leg for a moment, then laughed nervously Maybe we've been in beast mode too long..

"Agreed... So, you'd recommend a type of bunker?"

Xzuk smiled a little imagining the penguin in commando gear and a bazooka.

"Yeah.. I can support that.... Or perhaps a type of dam? That way Orcariner has an entrance?"

He liked that thought...

Two entryways...simple design.. made of tree branches and the like... but it'd have to be huge...

"We'll discuss it along the way, for now... I would like to get away from this formation.."

He began walking towards sector 76... they'd be there by sunrise... and they could work through the day to build up a base.

"I'm down," said Orcariner, "As long as we're still in the damper field I won't have to worry about getting hit by energon radiation. Should we have to defend ourselves from a surprise assault, I don't want us having to revert back to beast modes if we've been out too long."

He unsheathed both of his blades, each being over a meter long.

"I can cut down trees if we need to fortify our base. I can also travel to the bottom of any rivers nearby to gather mud as a makeshift adhesive, too."

Icebreaker followed along, then turned his head to the side Damper field? Where are we going to get one of those? Out of the stasis pods scattered about?

Frilla heard voices again but recognized Glowstick's already. Walking to some bushes she looked out seeing two others she had never met or seen before, maybe new Preadcons perhaps.Stepping out she came towards them, "How's going bots?" She said.

"If we're fortunate, we'll find something of an organic nature that will have the same effect as a damper field..."

He began to think if it was at all possible... but it was very unlikely..

"Let us hope."

((Sorry for the confusion, but I was referring to the Vok damper field we passed through earlier. By saying he doesn't wanna leave the field, Orcariner means that they'll have to stay in alien territory))
Alak wrote: "Look at that pile of energon," indicated Orcariner, "It's stable. It appears as if we passed through a damper field. A strong one, too. Orcariner, maximize!"

"Perhaps one of his seven stomachs digested his logic circuits?," the wolf responded, making a quick leap out of the way before the large cow could touch her.

Just then Frilla showed up.

"And the party keeps growing."

Glowstick's laughed a bit Like moths to a flame. In any case, there's not much at the moment Frilla. hm..? Strange.. his eyes suddenly shifted, his internal communication system playing a strange noise There's a change in the radio interference.. and I'm detecting a abnormal energy signal.

He then pointed off into the distance We must investigate this at once!

Icebreaker looked over the environment Not really suited for digging into.. I question this dam idea as well. It seems like it would take more effort then required.

When surviving out in the field, one shouldn't try to over exert themselves. Refuel when opportunity is given, reload, and never let your guard down even in rest. We'll also be drawing attention to ourselves with a strange structure like that which could easily be demolished with a well placed Predacon shot..

Icebreaker then looked towards Xzuk and Moonshine Which would leave you two the most vulnerable of the group..
