Optimal Optimus Primal wrote: "Sometimes it's the easiest solution."
Not for her, it was. Especially, since she was coming from a side for which asking was a form of weakness.
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Relax. Unlike Tarantulas and Megatron, we don't invade anyone's personal database or reprogram them against their will. But you will have to hand over your weapons and disarm your leg guns," he paused, waiting for her to comply. "Play nice and we'll get along fine. As a forewarning, I will have to perform some scans to get a better idea of your internal structuring and if there are any physical extremities that Tarantulas may have implanted that enables him to be inside your head. Who knows, there could have been something there ever since he reprogrammed you when you were just a protoform in your stasis pod that belonged to us. Would you agree to said scans?" he asked the black widow. "You'll be conscious the entire time,"
Blackarachnia sniffed at the idea of disarming her weapons, crossing her arms. She wasn't sure if she wanted to leave herself completely vulnerable either. Even if she was fully conscious during the scans. Just because she was conscious doesn't mean they could try pulling something at her. Though, it would be hard because she had the reflex of her beast mode. Any sudden movement or them touching something important, they might lose a limb or two. The Maximals were her enemies, and she had made it clear to Rhinox she wasn't here to join their cause but to have their help in killing Megatron and Tarantulas. Though, something told her, it would probably be her doing the final blow because these Maximals didn't kill-- or do they?

But the first priority for her was to rid this psychic link before she tried anything. With the link, Tarantulas might try anything to keep her from doing what she planned. Tarantulas seemed distracted because of the virus, but right now, Umbra and Nemesis would probably be there right now. No doubt Umbra would tell them what happened. Tarantulas would retaliate against her.

Great. She had two choices: Trust the people she has been shouting at ever since she came online or deal with being a slave for the rest of her life.

What was that smell?
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Uh, Rhinox, you forgot ta take out the rest of the trash,"
Oh, that's where the smell was coming from. Blackarachnia uncrossed her arms and placed them on her hips, sniffed, "I thought something died in here, but it's just you."
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Optimus offered our help to her and she has accepted,"
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Help 'er with what?"
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"Tarantulas's control," Rhinox answered, keeping it vague. "But she can also help us."
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote: "Sorry, I thought you said dat she could help us."
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"She can," he said more seriously but refused to go into detail since he wasn't so sure she was being completely honest about the data she had on the disks, walking over toward Landslide and Zodiac. "But we'll get to that later. Right now, we need to figure out the best and most effective way to confine Zodiac."
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"The only way she can help us is either shriveling up into a coma and inevitably dying, or walkin' her creepy, gross eight legs outta here before she starts squeezin' inta tiny, tight places dat she ain't supposed ta be in, spyin' and sabotagin' our ship just like she did earlier," the rodent ranted. "We can't trust her, Rhinox."
Blackarachnia narrowed her optics. She never did like Rattrap. She remembered countless times she had to deal with one of his small bombs nearly exploding her into pieces or his sneaky attacks with that gun of his. If there was one person in the Maximal's side she really didn't care much for more was this unsavory rat standing before her. The way he talked, though. She wondered if he knew how much of a Predacon he sounded like just now. She would call it out, but the rat has known to shot someone for less worse. Blackarachnia just turned her head sharp away from the smelly rat, "Like I want you to be ravaging inside my processor. You might just put one of your bombs in it."
Optimal Optimus Primal wrote:"That observation is probably mutual," Rhinox commented, referring to his last statement. After all, Blackarachnia was completely surrounded by Maximals now, and she didn't trust anyone. "Just concentrate on that explosive and get it out of here."
She tried to keep her emotions in check. She was becoming more edgy and sharp, fuming that she had to put herself in such a vulnerable state among enemies. She had to keep herself focused, so she put herself in thought about containing Zodiac, " I may have known of his identity here, but there are certain things I need to be caught up on. What do you guys know so far about-"
DarkSpark wrote: "YOU THINK YOU CAN ESCAPE ME?! THINK AGAIN!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Blackarachnia's optics kept flashing from green to her black optics. "Get outta my head!" She held her her head, trying to fight off Tarantulas' control. Slag it! She thought she had more time! Grr! Her legs started pointing at Rhinox and Rattrap. Her hand trembled as she struggled to keep it away from her main weapon. She knew if she fired, she would be fired upon by Rhinox and Rattrap. She didn't want to shot up again! Her hand quickly went to her spider legs and tore each and every one of them, screaming in pain as she did. Anything to get Tarantulas out of her head. She started bashing her head against the command console. "Get outta my head! GET OUTTA MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!"

The hangar bay was starting to get quite crowded again with new Maximals making an entrance every few minutes. Rattrap had been working diligently on dismantling the bomb, something that hadn't proved too difficult for someone of his skill. Of course Zodiac hadn't planned ahead for this particular scenario either so he hadn't bothered to make the bomb overly intricate. It did have a simple manual override installed but that was easy enough to disable for someone with any training within the field of explosives. The trickiest part of the bomb had actually been to set up the mechanism that made the circuits respond to the scanner.

Aurora smiled at the rodent as she made her way inside, grateful that things were returning to normal and that there was no more imminent danger hanging over all of them. Well.. almost normal. She had caught sight of her clone over by where Landslide was working on something, it had an eerie similarity to herself down to the finer details like that little black tip at the end of her ermine tail. It was creepy, honestly, and felt more than a little surreal. She moved a little closer to the creature, her other self, studying the details up close. Still unsure how she felt about Nexus having proved to be anyone but the real thing, part of her couldn't help being a bit fascinated by this thus far sleeping and relatively harmless looking foe. In this form the shapeshifter was too short to reach the ground and was therefor simply hanging there by her.. his.. arms.

"Who are you..?," Aurora inquired as she moved closer still, now within touching distance should she decide to reach up. And she probably would have, too, had she not been so worried the pretender would wake up. Deciding it best to let Landslide finish up whatever he was building without having to worry about her, she then scattered over to check on Banshee like she had been asked to do originally before the shapeshifter had distracted her. Sure enough the other female's arm had been injured but it wasn't badly so. If she had been bleeding any initially, it had stopped now. It really wasn't anything that couldn't wait until Banshee got a chance to jump into a CR chamber for a little while since that would have a better chance at healing it without leaving a scar than anything Aurora could do at the moment, so instead the fuzor merely started to wrap the arm with some protective bandages and apply a sling to avoid any excessive movements. As she was finishing up she glanced back to see that Rhinox had joined them as well.. along with an unexpected visitor. Aurora's optics narrowed with suspicion at the female spider only to widen a moment later as the spider suddenly started hollering out.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Get outta my head! GET OUTTA MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!"
Curiosity quickly turned to concern as the spider female then started bashing her head against a nearby console. Were all Predacons insane?!
"You should have, yyyyesssss"
Fortunately the cure seemed to work quickly and Megatron did not appear to be experiencing any ill effects from it, even though she wasn't entirely sure he was much less of a threat in a sound mind than when he was insane. More predictable, perhaps, but he still had enough anger bottled up within to make him quite dangerous should he choose to act out on that anger. Not that she was overly concerned given her ability to heal so rapidly. So she remained at ease for now.
"However...You did come through for us in the end, and for that...All is forgiven, congratulations Nemesis, welcome back to the right side of the war"
A faint smile tugged at her face. As far as she was concerned she had never left the right side of the war, even if Megatron's definition of 'right' might differ a bit from her own.

"It was not a hard choice to make," she assured the tyrant, "Maximal sentimentality is not exactly my style." She made a slight grimace at the last sentence as if to prove a point.
"Typical, leave it to Primal to show mercy towards an omnicidal shapeshifter who impersonated his own undoubtedly dead mentor and brought a plague to our little corner of the universe...Sigh, if only the Maximal Elders themselves were so careless, predacon liberation could have been achieved cycles before now. We're in no shape to do anything about it now, but if Primal prolongs Zodiac's existence for too long we may have to put the schemer out of our misery ourselves."
If it had only been that simple, Nemesis thought without interrupting, unfortunately this conflict ran deeper than merely Predacons rebelling against Maximal ruler ship. Allied forces had betrayed each other's trust to further their own goals, deals had been made only to be broken, and a few desperate individuals had gone to extreme lengths to gain some sort of advantage. When the great war ended the Autobots and then Maximals had declared themselves the winning side, a fact that did not sit well with the Predacons and the few remaining Decepticons who had long since abandoned Cybetron for other worlds. An ever going dispute over who had the right to not only exist but to rule.
"Oh, I hope they do Nemesis, I truly do...But alas, given the day we've had I wouldn't count on any convenient miracles to take place, nnnnoooo"
"But thank you for the notion, it was most welcome...Now then, on to more important business, yyyyyesss. What do you know about Zodiac? I want ALL the details about him, who he is, where and how he got his powers, and especially how to hurt him if, and most likely when, he escapes."
Nemesis tilted her head a bit, waiting for Megatron to finish. Not surprisingly he was more interested in learning about his foe, this unknown entity who had weaseled his way in and then betrayed him, than he was to know what had gone down at the Axalon. Not that she blamed Megatron for this, as she would have done the same thing. There was an old saying about knowing one's enemy in order to defeat him. Well the problem with Zodiac was that he became the enemy in every way.

"He.." She hesitated for a moment, not entirely sure how to explain the situation. "He's the product of a top secret experiment in the use of nanotechnology. Believes himself the first of a new breed of Cybertronians, designed to take down the existing rulers by infiltrating and destroying them from within. He's received extensive training in a number of areas in order to be able to impersonate pretty much anyone. I suspect he came here with a personal vendetta against Optimus since he went out of his way to persuade Optimus that he was a friend so that he could use him to lure all the Maximals into a single room and use Primal himself to detonate the bomb he had planted there."

Even though she shared a common history with Zodiac, it was easier to talk about him than of her own experiences. Still it was all touching a bit close to home for her to be entirely comfortable.

"Like myself he is able to consume metal to fuel the nanomachines but obviously his are not limited to healing. I'm not sure what the exact limitations of his powers are but I do know that electricity tends to disrupt the nanotechnology."

Before she had a chance to elaborate on this, Umbra gave his report. And what he had to say was rather surprising to say the least..
Blackarachnia is alive.. but not for much longer.. While leaving she decided to defect to the Maximals. Unfortunately as she did this infront of the maximals while we were leaving, this posed a risk towards the cure Nemesis was carrying had they turned on their defenses while revoking the spider of her life.
So BlackArachnia had defected? Or was she just up to her usual tricks? Either way Umbra now had Nemesis' full attention. And Megatron and Tarantulas' too from the looks of it.

( Going to be honest.. not sure Dirge is suited to this action.. It's kinda out of his skills as an enforcer, and with an intelligence of 2 makes it more difficult to imagine this being convincing.)

Mystrea wrote: "Cheetor..... I'm trapped... under the water... he-"

Cheetor gave a puzzled look towards the water, finding how strange it was hearing the voice from the water, particularly the unusual accenting the voice attempted when saying his name, he looked towards the foot prints he saw a distance away, then looks towards the water transforming to robot mode. With his stomach still containing a hole from the earlier fight, and fact he couldn't swim made him feel more wary of the situation, though if it really was Ironclaw, then it would be even more serious trouble for anything that could take him down was out of Cheetor's league probably.

Placing his arms together he shined a light at the water from both optics like a spotlight in an attempt to see what was in the water, activating his comlink. Cheetor to base, something weird is happening by the lake. Do we have anyone that swims?

Landslide blinked with wide optics observing Blackarachnia. Pulling out one of his tranquilizers with the needle not extended yet, Landslide tosses it towards Rhinox Might need one of those. he then said, though at the going rate between Zodiac and now Blackarachnia, if they didn't get the cage together soon, they might start running out of tranquilizers..

Fool...he thought it was just going to end this way? Unlikely...Starshadow fell indeed, losing both of her hands as well. She was getting closer to facing a fiery death. That changed when she activated her thrusters, hovering in the air. Everything she saw was transforming back to reality. While Megatron is distracted, the weakened catbot flew to safety away from the area, gritting her teeth from her wounds. Even though if she escaped from Megatron's sight, she would die a slow death from fluid loss. A pathetic end she did not expect. How amusing..

"You think I would just let you leave? Let you join my enemies? MAXIMALS NO LESS?!" Tarantulas hissed into her psyche ruthlessly, chewing her out for abandoning her faction and lowering herself to the maximal's level, something even he had never expected her to do, treacherous though she was, a predacon choosing to become a maximal, a predacon he himself had programmed no less, was unforgivable.

"You want me out of your head? Still? How can someone I personally created be so slow? Did you learn nothing from the cave? You will NEVER be free of me, you became mine the instant you tried to scavenge my remains, our minds are permanently linked. Surely accepting that is preferable to "Going Dinobot" as it were?" Tarantulas chided, comparing her actions to those of the traitor Dinobot, a predacon born & made yet who now wore the maximal emblem and adopted their activation code, creating an image of herself in a pink and white paint job with the maximal's symbol emblazoned on her person rather than her proud predacon insignia and creature of the night colorations.

Tarantulas hissed in anger and pain as the wretched witch mutilated herself, tearing out her own leg guns and now proceeded to bash her own head into the control counsel!

"Fool! If it were this easy you could have escaped me long ago, but you can't and you won't!" Tarantulas yelled into her mind, seizing control by force of will as he removed her battered head from the computer and shakily reached for her gun, as he screamed in her voice "Do maximals ever grow tired of being stupid?!" as he wildly fired missiles around the room, determined to cause as much damage as possible to the maximals and their tech as he could, and better yet, force them to murder Blackarachnia for him, an insane smile stretching across BA's face that looked even more unnatural on her than the glowing green eyes she now sported while under his control, cackling as one of his shots destroyed a CR chamber and another a computer counsel, while yet another was heading straight for the useless maximal fuzor Aurora!

"Nor mine, nasty habit" Megatron agreed, smirking over how many times he'd gotten the better of Optimus thanks to his misguided sentimental notions, or Dinobot's blind devotion to his feeble concepts of honor in spite of his natural predacon ruthlessness.

Megatron listened intently to the avian's report, looking deep in thought himself with every new piece of information she gave him, greedily filing it all away inside his twisted mind the way a sharkticon would devour every last bite of his prey, before saying "Fascinating, and yet such a waste of potential, if only Zodiac had been wise enough not to cross me, there may have been a place for him in the new Predacon order. I can only imagine how foolish his creators must have been, to lose control over someone so advantageous yet deadly...And his vendetta against Primal interests me as well...What could my squeaky clean nemesis possibly have had to do with something as covert and corrupt as a shapeshifting super soldier program?"

The Primal he knew was too much of a sap to be involved in anything so shady, so it was hard to imagine why Zodiac would harbor a grudge against him so strong that he would go to the lengths of impersonating his own mentor and setting up a trap that would have led Primal to kill both himself and his crew. This would all seem to imply that his benevolent rival had a deep dark past that Megatron knew nothing about, which may explain in part why the maximal had managed to survive for as long as he had against the likes of him and his troops...Interesting.

"A metal eater? Disconcerting news, any threat of cannibalism? The electric weakness is good to know however, we'll have to implement such defenses around the base until he's been permanently taken care of...As for you Nemesis, let me hazard a guess, you're the prototype for whatever he is? And do I have the maximal elders or the Tripredacus Council to thank for the work done on both of you?" Megatron inquired, curious to know who had been dabbling in such unorthodox technology and if he would have to face more of their kind in the future.

Naitokage wrote: Umbra looked back at Megatron rather calmly as the t-rex loomed slightly over him like the shadow of death, though this didn't really seem to intimidate Umbra, as he was the shadow of death. (*Drum rimshot*) Umbra's octopus eyes observed Megatron's cutlass.
Blackarachnia has defected to the Maximals. I have no idea as to why, perhaps we should ask Tarantulas? The Spiders are the most familiar with each other.

Megatron bit back a roar as he processed Umbra's news, furious that this had been allowed to happen, that it had happened at all! Another of his predacons defecting to the maximals? Inconceivable! Unforgivable! He would not allow another "Dinobot" or "Silverbolt" incident, especially since this one he suspected harbored secrets he did not want the maximals to possess, and unlike the other traitors, was far more likely to string the maximals along until an opportunity to seize power for herself presented itself...Would even Primal be merciful enough to accept Blackarachnia into his midst knowing the risks involved? Regardless, what little respect Megatron had for Blackarachnia had vanished, clearly Tarantulas had failed to instill the proper amount of predacon pride into his devious creation when he had programmed her to his own "personal specifications."

Heeding Umbra's advice, no doubt meant to distract him venting his rage on the messenger, Megatron turned on Tarantulas and said "Well spider, care to explain this tangled web your kin has weaved?"

Tarantulas, hearing Megatron's question despite having his mind literally be on someone else, fought back a curse and instead turned to the computer and was pleased to see he'd finished synthesizing the antidote, hoping that would be enough to quell the tyrant's fury as he said "Blackarachnia is no kin of mine Megatron, especially if she's left the fold in favor of those maximal pests! We've not been on good terms in a while, but I know her well enough to say that if she's truly gone over to the enemy, she's likely discovered something important enough to risk your wrath and warrant turning her back on her fellow predacons to see it through...She is quite ambitious you know."

"So I have noticed" Megatron replied through grit teeth as approached the spider, who in turn wisely handed over a case containing several vials, saying "Good news is I managed to synthesize the antidote, Nemesis' sample plus the accumulated data I've compiled was enough to complete my work faster than expected....EEEAAAGGHH!"

The spider shrieked as Megatron forced the vial's contents down his throat, the arachnid choking on it for a few moments before he got his bearings, scowling at Megatron's smug grin as he replied "Good news indeed doctor, so good of you to test it first. Umbra, after you inoculate yourself I want you to go track down Starshadow, last I saw her my mind was clouded by the infection's effects but I recall seeing her go over the edge there, but given recent events I wouldn't count her out just yet. If she still lives, capture her at once and cure her so she cannot spread the plague all over again. As for you Nemesis, answer my earlier inquiries and if I am satisfied you may proceed to spread the cure amongst the rest of the crew, we need to be at full fighting strength again sooner rather than later, can't count on Zodiac and Blackarachnia to keep those maximals occupied forever, and we may have to finish the two traitors off ourselves if Primal lacks the ball bearings for it, yyyyyesssss."

Megatron would restore order soon enough, and then all his enemies would pay!

((OOC: Thanks guys. Really appreciate it. I'm gonna be real slow in RPing these days. Too busy with schoolwork.))
"Anythin' else you wanna tell us about yerself, batsy? You an' Optimus obviously know each other."
Banshee smiled warmly at Rattrap, "Well..We met each other way back before the crew was formed. It's confidential on what happened," Indeed it was. She cannot let the others know what Optimus and her were actually tasked to do in the first place after she swore to secrecy. Banshee listened to the others talking about what to do with Zodiac. The methods mentioned sounded rather...aggressive? Then Blackarachnia started to scream to herself. She have seen bots that are mindcontrolled by force and dealt with them swiftly, "As much as I dislike violence, she needs to be knocked out or she may accidently hurt someone or worse, ignite the bomb by accident."

((OOC: Well DS, it doesn't matter. You haz a Megatron, be a Megatron. What would Megatron do? It all lies in Megs' decision to either keep or kill her. Of course if Megatron decides to exterminate her, she'll definitely be a rogue. That's the fun part of RP. :3 ))

Not that crazy yet.
"Yeah? Well, you just haven't been here fightin' dis war long enough," Rattrap told Landslide lightheartedly after the beetle's laughter.
If yer gonna use her, then use her. If anything, we might be able to use her fer our baby sitting problem.. Her cybervenom might be able to slow his nanomachines down..Just.. don't use yer fangs lass, he'll probably eat em'.
The rodent shuddered at the thought of Zodiac eating someone. Then again, this was Blackarachnia they were talking about... They could sacrifice her, right?
best I can figure, the fastest way to confine Zodiac is with yer force field idea. Problem is we can't make a floor outta the stuff, so we'll have to have an electrified subfloor incase he eats through it.. if we have more time, we can skip the subfloor and have the CR chamber try to replicate some rheanimum gas, then just coat the floor and frame with that. Stuff should already be on file, since I'm filled with it.
Rhinox, having kept a close eye on Blackarachnia and Zodiac, watching Aurora slowly approach the shapeshifter dressed just like her with great curiosity, thoughtfully stroked his gold chin with his large, green hand as he listened to Landslide. "The coating could work, but I'd like to have the subfloor built as an extra precaution. Rattrap can get started on that, and I'll work with the CR to acquire more of the gas."
Not yet. Found somethin' weird though, looks like something came out of the water or he went into it. I don't smell any sign of Umbra though.. Looks like Ironclaw got out though. I'll keep searching. Cheetor to base, something weird is happening by the lake. Do we have anyone that swims?
"No one as aquatic as Orcariner was," Rhinox relayed to Cheetor. "Can you be more specific than 'something weird'?" he asked of the cheetah. He was tempted to recall him to the base since he could use more eyes on both Zodiac and Blackarachnia while they were short two Maximals who were being repaired and one they couldn't find.
"Well..We met each other way back before the crew was formed. It's confidential on what happened,"
Rattrap stopped what he was doing for a moment to look at Banshee over his shoulder and say, "Confidential, eh? Sounds like a challenge," he smirked lightly before tending back to the bomb. Oh, if anyone could snoop for sensitive information and be successful, it was Rattrap. What could possibly be so secretive between those two? What were they involved with? He was fairly certain that Optimus was as clean and innocent as a sparkling.

Defusing the shapeshifter's bomb with ease, Rattrap nodded to himself in pride and put down his tools before he stood up with his hands on his hips. "Safe and sound," he announced to anyone who was listening. And then that Predacon spoke with a snide comment that had been fed by his own. How he loathed her.
"I thought something died in here, but it's just you."
"Are you sure? 'Cause it might be the cobwebs between yer audio sensors. It's probably been a while since you clean 'em out, eh?" the rodent glared at Blackarachnia.
"Like I want you to be ravaging inside my processor. You might just put one of your bombs in it."
"Widow, as fun an idea as dat is, I wouldn't even wanna touch ya with a twenty foot pole. But dat's why I got sticky bombs," he grinned as she looked away. Just as quickly, his smile disappeared, disgusted with her even being in the same room, no, the same vessel as him.

A familiar voice caught his sensitive audios that made him look in the Fuzor's direction.
"Who are you..?,"
"Stay away from him, Aurora!" he called out to her. Though he had to admit, it was really eerie seeing two of them. Even more eerie was the real Aurora's fascination with him disguised in her body. "Don't get near 'im!" Rattrap warned her again, ready to sprint to her and grab her arm to pull her away. But Blackarachnia's sudden outburst made everyone stop what they were doing.
"I may have known of his identity here, but there are certain things I need to be caught up on. What do you guys know so far about-" "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!" "Get outta my head!" "Get outta my head! GET OUTTA MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!"
Rattrap watched the spider closely, immediately wielding his gun and targeting her. He noticed her abyss-like optics actually changing colors, flashing, as she held her head in pain, apparently, and then ripping off her own spider legs. "She's a loon!" Rattrap concluded.
"As much as I dislike violence, she needs to be knocked out or she may accidently hurt someone or worse, ignite the bomb by accident."
"You dislike violence? But every time some crazy situation happens, you immediately jump into de fray with your gun blazing," the rodent dryly objected to Banshee's statement.

"Hold your fire!" Rhinox told his shorter friend. "This must have been what Optimus witnessed. It's Tarantulas," the engineer scowled, shocked to see the female Predacon tearing off her own beast mode legs. He wasn't sure why she was doing that other than either Tarantulas was making her, or she didn't want to harm anyone or get herself shot. Whatever the case, she was obviously suffering and this was not her normal behavior. It was chaotic and involuntary.

"I don't see Tarantulas, but I see another schemin' spider dat's just as crazy!" the rat said, his finger on his gun's trigger.

"It's a psychic link of some sort! Don't fire!" the rhinoceros urged him, aware of the valuable information she quite possibly possessed.

"Then I'd be doin' her a favor! She's bangin' her head on the console, fer bootin' up cold! I told you she shouldn't be here! She's just gonna cause more trouble for us! Haven't we been through enough, Rhinox?"

"You don't understand-"
Might need one of those.
Big Green looked at Landslide when he interrupted him just in time to catch the vile that he had tossed at him. But what came out of Blackarachnia's mouth next was not quite natural.
"Do maximals ever grow tired of being stupid?!"
Rattrap, offended by "her" foul insult, nearly pulled the trigger on her without realizing that it could be Tarantulas speaking through her like she was possessed by a demon, but she suddenly started to fire missiles from her weapon and he was forced to make a quick decision upon seeing one fired at the ermine Fuzor, deliberately throwing himself into her in an attempt to knock her down to the floor with him. "Didn't you disarm her?!" he shouted angrily at Rhinox over the noise as the hangar rattled with explosions and debris while laying there, his hand blindly searching for his weapon, feeling around for it, that had dropped.

Rhinox, also angry with the destruction the tarantula was intentionally causing, ducked a shot by Blackarachnia/Tarantulas before he ran at her to tackle her to the ground. With one knee on her stomach to keep her down, he prepared the syringe and went to jam the needle into her shoulder to inject her with the tranquilizer and hopefully sedate her and stop Tarantulas from harming her and using her to injure anyone else. If she was sedated, would it also stop Tarantulas from controlling her? Would it have any effect at all? Or would it just make it easier for him? They were about to find out.
"Well, that's just prime!"

"Oh please," Blackarachnia growled at her fellow spider, "Like you care about the Predacons. Or Maximals. Or this war. You care nothing!" Blackarachnia knew many things Tarantulas wished she didn't know. She knew it all! She knew who Tarantulas really was, and that is what was burning him so badly. If Megatron knew, and the Maximals and other Predacons, Tarantulas would be easy to pick off. Though, she wanted to watch him squirm. The more he chewed her out, the more pain she was going to cause him when the time comes.

Seeing the image of her in pink and white, wearing a Maximal insignia, disgusted her. She fired at the image. No! NO! She WOULD never be a Maximal. Never! She loaded another missile.

Rhinox tackled her to the ground with an angry scowl. Blackarachnia felt the rhino's entire weight on her. She struggled against the horseload on top of her, noticing the syringe in his hands, "That's not going to help!" Well, it would help them. She wouldn't be able to fire, but Tarantulas would still haunt her mind with his sickness and sadistic pleasures. She didn't want that! If she was going down, Tarantulas was going to feel the pain. She took out one of her own cybervenom shots. It was in a heavy dose. You just a scared maniac! I know a lot about you. Because of your own twisted perversions, I know how to beat you. Thanks for that, and you allowed me into the hands of the Maximals. Your failing! Now, this is just a taste of what is waiting for you and Megatron!

She shot herself with the heavy dosage of cybervenom right in her chest area, digging it deep to send a very clear-- also slow and painful-- message towards Tarantulas and she laughed as the tranquilizer kicked in.

"Stay away from him, Aurora!"
Aurora had gotten a bit startled by Rattrap's sudden outburst, enough so to stop in her tracks and glance back at him with concern in her optics.
"Don't get near 'im!"
She shook her head, finding the rodent's worrying a bit overly dramatic to the point of being paranoid. What, exactly, was he expecting the shapeshifter to do in his current state? Granted he had proven quite elusive before, but at the moment he was so heavily sedated that he wasn't even moving. The fuzor had just been curious, really, since looking at him now was like looking in a mirror.. He had even managed to copy the fine details on her iridescent wings, no small feat from someone she'd only known as Nexus Prime thus far. She didn't respond yet, though, not until she was finishing up the wrap on Banshee's arm a short while after.

"He's unconscious," she told Rattrap albeit the slight gleam in her eyes revealed how she truly felt, "I don't think he'll be waking up any time soon. Besides.. Are you actually going to worry about me while you're the one disabling a bomb..?" Unbelievable. Still it made her feel safer knowing that Rattrap was keeping a keen eye on the situation, even if he was being a little irrational about it.
"You dislike violence? But every time some crazy situation happens, you immediately jump into de fray with your gun blazing,"
The fuzor silently agreed even if she didn't voice her opinion. If actions spoke louder than words, then Banshee's actions had spoken heaps about her true intentions. The bat was a bit of a loose cannon but then again.. Aurora didn't know her very well yet. So all she could do was trust her instincts and also the fact that Optimus had some sort of shared past with Banshee.. One of these days she'd have to stalk Optimus until he told her about his past, as it was something he rarely spoke of. The fuzor finished up her work on Banshee's arm, just in time to see the Predacon spider start acting more and more unstable.
"Do maximals ever grow tired of being stupid?!"
BlackArachnia had started pulling her own spider legs off and then began bashing her head against a console. Aurora's mouth dropped open in surprise even though she quickly caught herself and closed it again.
"She's a loon!"
Again Rattrap said out loud exactly what she had been thinking. "Are we sure she's not infected..?," Aurora questioned, mostly to herself but still loud enough for those around her to hear. It was starting to be a genuine concern since the spider was only getting crazier by the second.
"Hold your fire! This must have been what Optimus witnessed. It's Tarantulas,"
"I don't see Tarantulas, but I see another schemin' spider dat's just as crazy!" the rat said, his finger on his gun's trigger.
"It's a psychic link of some sort! Don't fire!"
Might need one of those.
The whole scenario was starting to escalate to the point of feeling surreal. When Landslide offered some of his remaining tranquilizers, Aurora could do little other than nod in agreement. That spider had surely lost her mind.. in one way or another. Whether she had lost it to her own insanity or to someone else's, Aurora really couldn't be sure. Still.. it hardly mattered. The spider was clearly a danger to herself and she was certainly about to be a danger to everyone around her as well.

Her suspicions were proven right a mere nanoclick later when the spider started firing her weapon at random objects in the room.. And then aimed it at the fuzor! Aurora could but gasp, not having a chance to pull out a weapon of her own in time to even attempt to disarm the other female. The other female had a clear shot when she then fired her weapon, the projectile coming straight for the fuzor.

A sudden force hit the fuzor hard, forcing her down on the ground. For a brief moment she thought she'd been shot.. again.. But this time there was no pain, no obvious sign of injuries.. Then she looked up to see Rattrap who'd virtually tackled her to the ground, getting her out of the projectile's path. The sound of more shots flying right by them caused her to close her optics tightly, not wanting to see the chaos. Then the shots stopped as suddenly as they had appeared, Aurora's optics flickering open again as she glanced over at Rhinox who'd now gotten on top of the spider and was trying to subdue her. The fuzor shook her head briefly before turning her gaze over on Rattrap instead. "We really need to stop bringing in house guests..," she muttered in frustrated shock.
"Fascinating, and yet such a waste of potential, if only Zodiac had been wise enough not to cross me, there may have been a place for him in the new Predacon order. I can only imagine how foolish his creators must have been, to lose control over someone so advantageous yet deadly...And his vendetta against Primal interests me as well...What could my squeaky clean nemesis possibly have had to do with something as covert and corrupt as a shapeshifting super soldier program?"
Nemesis did not know the answer to Megatron's inquiry albeit she suspected it was related to whatever happened when Zodiac, as he called himself when he eventually returned, had been missing. It wasn't something he'd been willing to share with anyone, including her. In fact it had been a very different individual that came back to them, more focused and determined.. Someone who harbored a great deal of anger. Nemesis had not been able to get the truth about what had happened out of him before she made her final, successful, escape attempt. And after that they'd been heading down very different paths in life.

"Everyone's got their secrets," she responded bluntly, referring to Optimus' past, "Now that's not to say those secrets can't be exploited.. If Optimus was indeed involved with Zodiac in the past, I imagine there must be other transgressions just waiting to be found."

She paused while Megatron sent Umbra to recover Starshadow. The transmetal kitty was different, too, even if she seemed to possess very different abilities than those of Nemesis and Zodiac. Same with Tarantulas' newest pet.. the other female spider that went by the name Arachnitron. They were all vastly different as a result of the procedures that had been done on each of them, but what seemed to link them all was the fact that they'd been able to survive the torture.. Nemesis had overheard the scientists talk about a mutation in her spark that allowed her to not only survive the implementation of the nanomachines but even thrive with them as time passed. For so long she thought she was alone in having such a mutation, having thought Zodiac had died long ago, until she'd encountered Arachnitron.. and later Starshadow, albeit the cat bot was too unruly to control. And she hadn't known about Starshadow's mutation until recently.
"A metal eater? Disconcerting news, any threat of cannibalism? The electric weakness is good to know however, we'll have to implement such defenses around the base until he's been permanently taken care of...As for you Nemesis, let me hazard a guess, you're the prototype for whatever he is?"
Nemesis shook her head at that. "Consuming metal is only a necessity as fuel for the repairs if the wounds are extensive enough. But I admit it comes in handy at times." She paused briefly before continuing. "That is how I was able to break out of the cuffs not long ago. And also how I escaped Maximal custody a while back."

Part of her almost scoffed at the leader's comment about being a prototype since that was not a very accurate description. The implementation of the nanomachines had been a long process, one that required periods of rest between each successful phase. Zodiac had merely gotten to the end stage whereas she had been close but not quite there by the time she made her escape. But there was no point in arguing such an unimportant point in the grand scheme of things. In addition there was the tyrant's other questions to deal with. She so badly wanted to deny Megatron's concern for cannibalism but given her own rather violent past and the fact she was attempting to stay truthful so that she could stay in Megatron's favor, she decided to be honest. After falling silent for a moment, her voice was quieter when she continued.

"I can only speak on my own behalf. You should know that the major difference between Zodiac and myself is that he is able to control the nanomachines and make them do his bidding.. I am not. Mine merely acts on their own in an attempt to keep their host, me, in good repair. On rare occasions those repairs have come at the cost of someone's life, I will admit, as was the case with the Maximals Nightmist and Valkyrie." *

Nightmist had merely been a field medic from what little information Nemesis had been able to gather about her, but Valkyrie had been one of the higher ranking officers aboard the Axalon prior to her rather brutal demise.
" And do I have the maximal elders or the Tripredacus Council to thank for the work done on both of you?"
Her transmetal feathers ruffled a bit at that question since she couldn't be sure who had been pulling the strings. "We were trapped in a colony," she responded, knowing that wasn't entirely accurate but she simply had no better way to explain it to him, "Caged like prisoners.. Most of us too young at the time to remember much about our lives before that point. Neither the guards nor the scientists told us who they were getting their orders from."

She stopped her explanation as she shifted uncomfortably, memories she'd long since attempted to forget forcing their way to the surface.

Rhinox wrote:"No one as aquatic as Orcariner was," "Can you be more specific than 'something weird'?"

Landslide leaned his head up listening in as he watched the scene with Blackarachnia, while Cheetor listened on the other end, still looking at the water. Like something talking. I think it was supposed to be Ironclaw, but it didn't sound right. But if it is Ironclaw.. he's probably in stasis lock underwater. If it isn't...

Landslide stood up and walked over to Rhinox looking at Blackarachia on the floor, he then pulled out some of his cargo straps setting them down near Blackarachnia Didn't expect the Spider to do that.. Tie er' up with these fer now. As for Cheetor.. maybe call him back in, I can check the lake out. I'm not as good as Orcariner, but I can function underwater and my rockets will work for propulsion.

Landslide then raised up his right arm as it opened, extending his electro laser if I'm going, I'll leave this behind.. Can't risk it getting wet, and it seems like it'd be more useful to you then my grenade launcher Rattrap.

( Looking it over, currently the most "amphibious" of the maximals at the moment would be Landslide. His only problems is he technically can't "swim" but would have to walk or use his thrusters with the air in his back as a kind of ballast, his anti air guns wont work underwater, the electro laser wont work underwater and would probably short out, and while he could survive crushing depths, the seals and gaskets on his body would probably fail causing him to fill and start to short out leading into stasis lock. )

Megatron wrote:"Well spider, care to explain this tangled web your kin has weaved?"
Tarantulas wrote:"Blackarachnia is no kin of mine Megatron, especially if she's left the fold in favor of those maximal pests! We've not been on good terms in a while, but I know her well enough to say that if she's truly gone over to the enemy, she's likely discovered something important enough to risk your wrath and warrant turning her back on her fellow predacons to see it through...She is quite ambitious you know."

Megatron wrote:"So I have noticed"
Tarantulas wrote: "Good news is I managed to synthesize the antidote, Nemesis' sample plus the accumulated data I've compiled was enough to complete my work faster than expected....EEEAAAGGHH!"
Megatron wrote:"Good news indeed doctor, so good of you to test it first.

Umbra gave a nod, taking one of the samples from the case. As you command. However, I wont be requiring a sample. The maximals saw fit to try to prevent the spread of the virus while I was inside their base..

Umbra gave a light bow, then walked towards a computer console. Computer, where is Starshadow currently located?

The computer then displayed Starshadow on display, seeming to be flying inside the ship heading in the opposite direction of their location. He then walked over to a hover platform climbing on and started to fly in pursuit of her.

"Indeed...Just when I thought I had you figured out Primal...Splendid" Megatron mused, feeling more and more like his old self as he pondered what other dark secrets his nemesis was keeping hidden behind his facade of nobility, perhaps he was just as corrupt as the maximal elders who's laws he upheld, or better yet, had a sordid past he thought he could "atone" for...Oh the possibilities! He loved having a riddle to solve, the little pleasures helped him to cope with the idiots he was forced to work with on his way to greatness.

On rare occasions those repairs have come at the cost of someone's life, I will admit, as was the case with the Maximals Nightmist and Valkyrie." *

Megatron listened quietly as Nemesis explained how she'd managed to escape both maximal and predacon custody alike, as well as confirmed how she disposed of the maximals Nightmist and Valkyrie, all the while weighing the advantages and disadvantages to killing the nanotech bird to prevent the possibility of her wild nanites turning on him one day, but ultimately said "Honesty...A rarity around here I will confess, but I recognize it when I hear it, and against my better judgement I believe you deserve the same in turn."

He then walked up to her, looked her in the optics and said "If I ever find myself in a situation where I believe your "little friends" are going to turn their microscopic mouthparts on my person, I will shoot you in the spark without a second thought, understood?"

As always Megatron had to suffer fools, traitors, and potentially problematic anomalies like Nemesis to live and serve under him if he was to win this war and rule Cybertron, especially now with one of his most unscrupulous servants having apparently switched sides and Starshadow's insanity becoming a problem as well...It was never an easy choice, his pragmatism was often his greatest edge over the maximals, who allowed their emotions to cloud their judgement more often than not, forgiving incompetence and dishonesty at every turn instead of punishing it swiftly and ruthlessly to send the correct message to other malcontents. Sometimes he regretted his rare acts of mercy, sometimes they paid off, and while Nemesis could become a liability in a way he had not encountered before, she had proven herself more trustworthy than many of his rank and file minions, and was powerful enough to be useful to him in battle against his strongest foes.

Megatron sensed her discomfort, not actually caring but making a mental note of her insecurities should he ever need to employ them against her one day.

He placed a hand on her shoulder as if to reassure her, and prove he did not fear her despite the nanotech infesting her shell, saying "The powerful make playthings of the weak all the time, could have been the elders or the council, neither of them are clean despite their shallow propaganda insisting otherwise. Regardless, they shall all one day pay for their transgressions against you and those like you, once we get off this miserable rock, but not before we crush Primal's team underfoot and exploit the hidden treasures this world has to offer us of course."

"How generous of them, when the time comes you can count on me not to return the favor. Happy hunting soldier" Megatron civilly replied, marveling for Primus knew how many times by now how foolish the maximals were, but pleased his competent mercenary was back in his service and on the job.

"Well well, thank you for confirming something that I've suspected for a long time...Namely, that you've become obsolete!" Tarantulas replied as he sent waves of pain into her mind, as much as he could muster to weaken her resolve & strengthen his control over her...This witch knew too much, and was far more trouble than she was worth, so even if he could get her out of the maximal base, her demise was LONG overdue, fortunately, the maximals were more likely to end her for him at this rate, especially with a proven predacon hater like Rattrap present.

She shot herself with the heavy dosage of cybervenom right in her chest area, digging it deep to send a very clear-- also slow and painful-- message towards Tarantulas and she laughed as the tranquilizer kicked in.

Before Blackarachnia could add her cybervenom to the tranquilizer dose the rhino had given her already, Tarantulas swore "You are a minuscule, insignificant speck in the grand scheme of things little spider, your petty ambitions are laughable! You plot and scheme to rule over a worthless band of castaways on a backwater planet with no hope of escape, while light years away TRUE conquerors plan the domination of moons, worlds, and GALAXIES! Tarantulas' eyes flashed green as he yelled out to the maximals in his own voice, grabbing the Rat by the throat and squeezing as hard as he could with Blackarachnia's feeble pincers, determined to either take his head or force him to finish her off for him even as the poison ravaged her systems and caused him the same pain she was feeling as she began to slip into stasis lock.

"She'll use you fools for all your worth and shoot you in the back once she's done! She's no damsel in distress, pitiful lost soul, or disillusioned soldier, she is poison in every sense of the word, and the only reason why I tell you any of this is because I want to kill you all myself before she beats me to it! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Tarantulas cackled before the pain became too much for him and it turned into a mad howl of agony as he was forced to return to his own mind, leaving Blackarachnia to whatever fate lay ahead of her and the wretched maximals foolish enough to even consider letting her into their hopefully short lives.

"By Unicron's beard, what now?!" Megatron snarled as he turned to face the spider as he cried out in agony, as though something was killing him as he fell to the floor and collapsed at his feet, the tyrant's expression a mixture of disgust, confusion, and anger all in one.

"What the slagging...I...Do I even want to know?" Megatron inquired, kicking the unconscious spider as he stepped over him & seized the samples of antidote himself, turning to Nemesis to say "Drag that arachnid to the CR Tanks while I administer the cure to the rest of these fools. Sometimes a tyrant really does have to do everything himself!"

With that said, Megatron proceeded to the CR Tanks, activating the lifts to bring the recovering predacons up to receive treatment, growling to himself in annoyance over whether saving these fools was even worth the effort.

"Uh...Anyone get the number of that gestalt that hit me?" Terrorsaur inquired as he awoke, still feeling uneasy despite the damage Megatron had done to him earlier.

"Of course you would be the first to emerge" Megatron spat as he grabbed Terrorsaur by the throat and poured the antidote down his gullet without explanation, pushing him aside and moving on to whoever emerged next, hoping it was someone less treacherous and more useful.

"Bleh! What the Pit is going on around here?!" Terrorsaur sputtered, confused beyond all reason as to whatever he had missed, hadn't they all been struggling for survival against their own "leader" earlier?

"Saving your wretched life, that's what, remember that the next time you harbor delusions of grandeur at my expense, fool" Megatron advised without even bothering to look at him, having indulged the unreliable flyer more than enough already.

(Sorry I haven't replied sooner NK. Your comment about Dirge is fair so I won't sure whether to role with it or not. I compare Dirge to something like the The Terminator. In which he is a futuristic machine but is still just doing as he's told and persisting with his task to his won end. Not a free thinking sort but can still make some tactical choices)

The hellgrammite waited patiently for the Maximal cat to get that much closer to the lake side. He did not suffer from an over eagerness or impatience, he knew exactly when to strike. The little solider was fast, much faster than he was so he would have to overcome that with his strengths. The cheetah cast a light into the water which scanned the depths. Dirge realised he would have to accelerate his move otherwise he might be spotted and his target would be gone. The light cast close to him so he magnificently burst out of the water right in front of his prey and transformed into his robot mode. He stabbed the air with his cannon in the direction of Cheetor and blasted a crater next to him. He intended to immobilise him. Water gushed back and forth as he waked out of the water, approaching with a second thought he reached out for the little cat.

"He's unconscious," "I don't think he'll be waking up any time soon. Besides.. Are you actually going to worry about me while you're the one disabling a bomb..?"
"I understand bombs, day ain't unpredictable. That guy is, and we shouldn't be takin' any chances with 'im no matter how unconscious he appears ta be," Rattrap said to Aurora with a serious tone.
"Are we sure she's not infected..?,"
"I find her situation to be worse than being infected," Rhinox told the Fuzor without looking at her while he struggled with Blackarachnia and keeping her down.
"I won't allow you to do this!"
Briefly, Rhinox frowned at the Predacon watching her optics flicker from green to black. However this link had been established, and despite her attempt to sever it some time ago, it was very strong and clearly ran deep. Tarantulas was furious and determined. Even if Rhinox could help her, he wasn't sure where to start, but he would try. No one should be controlled like this no matter who they were.
"We really need to stop bringing in house guests..,"
"I second that!" the rodent agreed with Aurora, sick of these out-of-control situations, getting up and helping her to her feet by extending his hand to her's. He glanced around for his weapon to find where it had fallen. "I'm gonna have ta have a talk with de boss monkey. If he keeps takin' in strays like dis, then we're gonna have a problem." He couldn't understand why Optimus was trying to save the world one bot at a time. Was he attempting to redeem himself by a mistake he made long ago? Or was he truly that selfless and caring that he couldn't ignore those in danger or under someone else's control? Whatever the reason, this was causing them too much trouble to handle.
"Can't you figure out anything?!"
"Hey, all I need ta know is dat yer a Predacon and yer bringin' harm ta my friends!" Rattrap snipped at her.
"No wonder Arachnitron doesn't want to come back to you guys!"
The rat shrugged. "Her loss if she prefers bein' ruled by Megatron's iron fist."

"If I'm not mistaken, that was a misunderstanding what happened to her, but we've never been able to sit down and discuss it with her," Rhinox intervened.
Like something talking. I think it was supposed to be Ironclaw, but it didn't sound right. But if it is Ironclaw.. he's probably in stasis lock underwater. If it isn't...
Rhinox couldn't focus on two problems at once, so he hesitated answering Cheetor. To be honest, he was getting tired and exhausted being pulled in a hundred different directions. When was the last time he rested? He couldn't remember. None of them could keep functioning like this; it would leave them vulnerable.
Didn't expect the Spider to do that.. Tie er' up with these fer now. As for Cheetor.. maybe call him back in, I can check the lake out. I'm not as good as Orcariner, but I can function underwater and my rockets will work for propulsion. if I'm going, I'll leave this behind.. Can't risk it getting wet, and it seems like it'd be more useful to you then my grenade launcher Rattrap.
The engineer's red optics glanced at the straps and electro laser that Landslide laid on the floor while he held the squirming black widow down. "Be careful," he pleaded with him. "It could be an ambush." The beetle would likely lose contact with them while being submerged, and Rhinox was not fond of the idea of losing communication with anyone at the moment considering all that has happened thus far.

Rattrap then hurried over to help Rhinox when Landslide stepped out of the way. Kneeling down to grab the straps, he suddenly found his neck viced between the she-spider's pincer. Angry and surprised at the same time, he gagged and struggled to pull it off of him.
"That's not going to help!"
The rhinoceros was puzzled for a moment, uncertain if anything would stop these two at this point while he waited for the tranquilizer to take effect. But in theory, if they knocked her out, then Tarantulas wouldn't be able to control her body. Perhaps he could still infiltrate her mind, but she would be immobile which would make her less of a risk to them and to herself.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
"You underestimate her," Rhinox told Tarantulas as he defiantly and confidently peered into Blacharanchnia's green optics "at him". "And you underestimate us," he added with a growl before Blackarachnia had the strength and courage to point her own weapon at herself and fire a heavy dose of cyber venom while she laughed. It had been made clear some time ago that these Maximals were worthy opponents to Megatron and his gang of misfits, after all, they were still there and they were still getting in their way to prevent their universe domination. Rhinox released her as the venom visibly spread throughout her body.

With her paralyzing herself and gradually succumbing to the sedative, Rattrap was able to pry her "hand" off of his neck and threw it back toward her body as if she was crawling with mites and ticks - cooties and the like - that he didn't want getting on him. Gasping for air a little bit, he calmed down with a glare upon her and grabbed the straps so he could start tying up her spider leg weapons.

Rhinox took her gun and tossed it over his shoulder, anywhere so long as it wasn't within her reach, and took the other straps to tie her "wrists" together and her ankles. He sat back and took a breath.

"I say we put her in a basket with some rotten fruit and drop her off at the Darksyde's porch," the rodent suggested coldly. "Right where she belongs." He grabbed Landslide's laser weapon and placed it on the table.

"We can't. Did you not hear Tarantulas? They will kill her for her treason, or continue to control her and torture her," Rhinox said more calmly and with some compassion. "Whether she may like it or not, her best chance of survival is remaining here with us, at least until I can free her of Tarantulas."

"But we can't trust her, especially if she's under dat loon's control. Look at what she's done!" he told his larger friend, gesturing to everything her missiles ruined.

Rhinox's crimson optics surveyed the room behind him, taking note of the now damaged CR chamber that he was going to use to replicate more of the gas that Landslide had recommended. He sighed and glanced at Aurora and Banshee. "It's my fault. I told her to surrender her weapons but she hadn't handed them over." He reserved his anger and guilt, blaming no one else but himself for what had transpired, nearly injuring the others as a consequence of his actions. "Forgive me," he added solemnly. "But she is restrained and unarmed now. She won't cause us anymore grief. And as soon as we have Zodiac detained properly, I can focus on helping Blackarachnia." Standing up, Rhinox grabbed her shoulders and effortlessly picked up the spider, walking her over to the wall and setting her down carefully on the floor to prop up her back up against the wall.

Rubbing his neck a little, Rattrap also stood up and picked up her weapon as well as his own and putting it away in his subspace. He handed Blackarachnia's gun to Aurora. "Why not lock 'er up in the brig?" he asked Big Green.

"I want to keep an eye on her and speak to her when she awakens. She doesn't seem to do well in solitude and seclusion, especially with Tarantulas trapped in her mind. Besides, not locking her up shows her that we're willing to give her a little trust, so maybe she will be willing to do the same. Allegedly, she holds very valuable information that she can help us with, and I don't want Tarantulas finding out and possibly erasing it from her memory."

"Fine. But is it really worth it to put our own security as risk? It's bad enough we gotta deal with dis guy," Rattrap said, motioning his thumb over his shoulder to Zodiac.

"Rattrap, she claims to have obtained the data from the golden disks," he said quietly, looking into his optics.

The Spy became silent, finally understanding why Rhinox was defending her so much. If she really did have that information, then perhaps it was worth keeping her around after all before Megatron and Tarantulas could get their hands on her and eliminate her. He nodded and looked at her sitting against the wall. Grabbing a clean cloth from a nearby table, he tied it around Blackarachnia's empty optic sensors as a blindfold so she or Tarantulas couldn't see what was going on inside their base.

"I need you to start working on that electrical subfloor," he told his smaller, TransMetal friend.

He nodded and glanced at the others in the room before grabbing some tools and immediately commandeering Landslide's work station. He found some spare metal sheeting, a welder, electrical wiring and everything else he would need to create such a floor that would prevent the shapeshifter from using it to his advantage and escaping.

"Aurora, help me with this CR chamber, would you? We need to get it running well enough for me to produce more rhenium gas. The more options we have to keep Zodiac incapacitated, the better." He headed to the CR and started stripping it of the broken material that was of no use anymore thanks to Tarantulas using Blackarachnia to damage it. He left the wiring to Aurora since she was smaller and her petite hands could work more quickly than his large, clumsy ones.

"Banshee, keep an eye on Zodiac, but keep your distance. We'll have to sedate him again when he begins to stir."

In one of the other CR's near the command center, Optimus slept. He dreamed, or at least he thought it was a dream... Perhaps he found himself now in the realm of his and Whitegrazer's bond at their meadow. He could not tell the difference. Dream or not, that was where he stood in the tall green grass that swayed in the breeze. He didn't see the white equine, the Empath, the one he felt so deeply for. He looked about, his orange optics scanning the quiet horizon. The wind picked up and it increasingly grew darker and darker. It was pitch black now. He couldn't see anything but he didn't panic. Not yet. Where was she? Whitegrazer? he called out. There was no answer. Something or someone grabbed his right hand. He looked down but in the darkness, he couldn't see what was holding it. Was it Whitegrazer? No, the touch wasn't warm or welcoming, instead it was cold and hard. Optimus pulled on it but the hold stiffened and promptly kept his hand and arm to his side as if it were stuck. Then something grabbed his left hand. He yanked both and tried pulling them away from their captures but there was no give. He struggled more and more, fear beginning to settle in, growling and frustrated. Two more grabbed his feet, and then his arms and hands were suddenly pulled upward, and he was lifted into the air, or the ground had fallen away. Either way, he was caught in midair, stranded, and it all felt so real to him. His breathing increased, his spark raced. He tried yelling for help but nothing came out. It was very much like the time when the Vok had restrained him in their giant mushroom contraption that had trapped him inside to speak with him alone.

There was taunting laughter that surrounded him as light slowly illuminated the ones who were restraining him. Each was significantly larger than their real selves, so why he simply couldn't tell himself that this was only a dream wasn't quite comprehensible. But he didn't, he just lost himself in the terror and struggled to break free. On his right hand was Zodiac, the shapeshifter of chaos who continued to elude his memory and why he was targeting him and his Maximals. He shifted back and forth from his dragon-like form to his flawless impersonation of Nexus Prime. On his left hand was Protoform X. X... He had no idea where he was in reality on the planet, if he was even conscious or not functioning. Right now, he was there holding him against his will much like how the scientists and guards had treated him. Holding his legs were the Vok in some weird, likely inaccurate form that his mind had conjured up in his nightmare. He wouldn't have recognized them elsewhere, but in his dream he knew it was them. How did all of them capture him like this? Where were his Maximals? He began to panic. No... Stop! Don't do this! Leave me be! All of them laughed and pulled on his limbs. He cried out, desperately looking around for a way to escape them. Despite the lighting on them for him to see them, everything else was still pitch black. There was no where to go, there was no way to free himself from their grasp. What have you done to my crew?! he demanded. They laughed even more loudly and tugged on his arms and legs again. He growled and his breathing was heavy with hostility and desperation. Then another voice, all too familiar, interjected with his rumbling laughter. Megatron appeared before him, five times larger than he really was in reality. Still, it felt too real to think otherwise.

You expect to deny them the satisfaction of doing to you what you did to them? Megatron bellowed with a smirk. You are a fool, Primal! You were never meant to lead in a war with me at the helm on the opposing allegiance. The others laughed again. I know what you did, yesss. I know your secret. And now you will pay for it. There's no escape for you this time. This was always inevitable. This was always your fate! You merely kept delaying it, but no longer. And no longer will you be in MY WAY!

No! You... You don't understand! I was just-

You were just WHAT? Megatron demanded as he interrupted him. Just doing your job? He laughed. Did you never think it would come back to haunt you? My, my, you aren't nearly as innocent as you've perceived yourself to be, Optimus Primal. Do you think Optimus Prime would have stooped to such a level of unethical treatment and experimentation? You give your own namesake a bad name indeed. I, on the other hand, have stepped up and exceeded mine. And I'm not even done yet, he laughed menacingly again. Zodiac, the Vok and X joined him as they stretched his limbs outward, taunting Optimus and making him feel helpless, trapped and vulnerable in their grasps.

Primal gasped and writhed in the pain. Do as you wish with me! But, please... spare my Maximals.

Oh Primal, you are so incredibly predictable, and in no position to make requests or ask for forgiveness. For you see, your past can not be forgiven and has finally caught up to you. You will watch all of your Maximals fall before you while the rest of us feast on their remains. Then and only then will I take your life. And this time, you won't be coming back. That will be the end of your so-called legacy and your disgustingly pitiful attempt of redemption.

This is madness! This can't be real... I've changed! I've changed! I regret what I was a part of! I'm trying to do right. Please...

After more laughter, Megatron silenced them and moved closer to Optimus. Pathetic. You were never a challenge just a mere distraction. Did you actually think someone as insignificant as you could stop me and save Cybertron? I will save Cybertron and return it to what it's meant to be! Megatron said, raising his fist. The others jeered with him. And you... You will no longer exist! Perhaps that last statement was a premonition of sorts? Unfortunately, Optimus would likely forget it by the time he would awaken.

Megatron, it doesn't have to be this way. We can-

IT WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE THIS WAY! YOU FOOL! Do not dare to make amends or pretend to be condescending to me! You and your kind are a plague that I intend to exterminate once and for all! Megatron came at him in a flash, his tail gun in his hand thrust into Primal's abdomen, straight through his armor, the tip clamping his spark inside and pulling it out slowly while the others continued holding the Maximal still.

Optimus lost his breath, his face in horror when he felt Megatron's weapon drill into him. He watched him pull out his very own spark, squeezing it and dangling it proudly before him. Just as he felt the others pull on his arms and legs hard enough to rip them off of his body, he woke up in a deep gasp for air, grabbing his abs and falling out of the chair in the CR. His breathing was erratic as realistic as the nightmare had seemed to him, and even though there was no hole in his abdomen and his spark was still secured inside, he scrambled to the wall of the CR and laid on the floor on his side, almost in tears, trembling a little. Many of his repairs were done but he still needed time for the rest, so the machines inside reached over as far as they could to continue their work. It wasn't real... Just a dream... Just a dream, he thought, gradually calming down. He doesn't know... No one knows... He couldn't stay like this, however. He was going to have to toughen up. He was going to have to up his game. He couldn't let anyone take advantage of him anymore. He had to be stronger, faster, more unpredictable. ...Whitegrazer...? he reached out for her companionship to reassure him that he was indeed alive and back to reality, assuming she was awake. Could she experience someone else's dreams? He didn't know but he hoped not. He didn't want to burden anyone with his fears and darker thoughts.
"Well, that's just prime!"
