Biography: A Medical engineer with a interest in body modification. Drillclaw was originally part of the Maximal millitary, spending her days as a field medic, though after an accident on a rough mission, she used some mining equipment as a means of repairing herself during a rouge predacon attack in space. While many of the modifications she made were later removed, instead of attaching her old arm, she kept the strange drill one she created and kept upgrading it, along with the rest of her body.
Going through battlefields, she used her great intellect and equipment to dominate struggling battles, but with each battle, she seemed to become more cold. As if she had lost a piece of her spark seeing the horrors of war. Returning to Cybertron, she met up with Icebreaker, who had become rather disenchanted with cybertron after losing his sparkmate, Drillclaw's sister.
With nothing left other then him, she decided to follow him onto the Axalon mission, perhaps finding a new light at the end of these tunnels would provide her with whatever it seemed she was looking for.
Alas.. this was not the case, landing on Earth during the events of the great fall, when many stasis pods fell (The time when Nightmist,Orcariner,Glowstick,Icebreaker,Snowtrix,and Frilla's pods came down), Drillclaw's pod also landed on the planet. Wandering aimlessly, she discovered many strange things, from alien ruins, to wandering predacons hunting down maximals.After witnessing the events of a cannibalistic monster of a Predacon chewing on her kind, Drillclaw finally snapped, taking the creature's life and began hunting other predacons down, as if seeing the act as exterminating rabid vermin.
Personality wise, Drillclaw seems distant and fairly self confident, rathering to go into a battlefield alone then risk seeing any more Maximals harmed or lost. While able to socialize, she spends alot of time alone reading, drinking, tweaking her body modifications, and weapons.
Drillclaw seems to have developed a rather unnatural obsession with weapons, as her optics seem to shine brightly like a giddy child with a new toy when presented with a big gun, sometimes even giving low giggles and obscene laughter while shooting. This interest also means she will sometimes bring specialty weapons with her,much like Dinobot does.
Weapons:
Drill missiles: Originally invented as a tool for mining on cybertron, Drillclaw has modified them for use in combat. Operating on a wire guided system giving them a range of around 2 miles, she carries alot of these, with different payloads. The missiles incorporate a drillhead which also acts like a screw underwater, and carries a limited propellent. Carries two launchers, one in each leg. Only two drill missiles can be used at a time.
Missile types:
High explosive: The basic missile, having a variety of uses on it's own.
Smoke missile: Rather then destroy everything, the missile discharges a cloud of white phosphorous and aluminum chaft, blinding sections of the battlefield in Radar and infrared detection.
Cluster: Breaking the surface, the missile explodes releasing a hail of shrapnel like a grenade.
Drill arm: Used to replace her right arm, the Drillclaw is where her name comes from. The limb is a massive four digit clawed hand that transforms into a fairly large drill.
Equipment:
Electrosensory(Electro location): Used for navigation, Drillclaw can discharge low electro magnetic pulses which come back projecting a visual image similar to the function of radar or sonar. Used as a means of navigation while underwater or underground. Passively her electrosensory also allows her to see electrical impulses in lifeforms, cybertronian or otherwise.
Facemask:a Filter mask to seal Drillclaw's face to keep out water, dirt, and dust.
Tunnel light: Mounted to Drillclaw's head are a set of lights for illumination.
Advanced Medical kit:A fairly large and well equipped medical kit, allowing the user to repair the most grievous of fatal injuries on the battlefield, performing makeshift repairs, and give temporary life support.
Skills:
Medical skills:Highly trained in Cybertronian anatomy,to the point that she easily grafts and modifies parts of her body with one hand.
Tunneling:Drillclaw is rather good at tunneling, using them as her main means of transportation in beast mode as well as robot mode. Traveling the planet, she's learned much about the variety of terrain and how to navigate through them effectively, from sand, mud, ice,soft and hard soils.
Weaknesses:
Drillclaw's loner personality makes her less likely to work with others, and with the horrors of war seems to be extremely mentally unbalanced at times.
Only two drill missiles can be controlled at a time before the next set is deployed. Drillclaw's blindness in beast mode makes it difficult for her to tell enemies and allies apart at times with her electro sensory.
And to note, as the back story states, there will not be a stasis pod recovery mission for this character, and she can and will appear in season 1, I've also set the rank as 1 because while powerful, Drillclaw is new to the group and not suited for command roles. Time to get things moving!~
