The Intergalactic Highway

Upon receiving orders, the killer whale maximized as he jumped out of the river and clung onto the ledge of the trail. Pulling himself up, Orcariner approached the cave and inspected its dimensions. He would have to kneel in order to fit, but the others should have no problem entering and exiting. It shallow enough for him to dig through it without worrying about the mountain collapsing on top of him, and therefore, he intended to do just that. Unsheathing his blades, the giant charged forward and began to pound away at the rock wall. Barreling through a mountain was not the easiest task, especially when he was using his own body as construction equipment. After deepening the cave about one meter, the Maximal stopped due to exhaustion. The rock was extremely durable and made his job difficult, but at least the mountain will hold against energy based firepower. Missiles, on the other hand, Orcariner had doubts with. Retracting his weapons, he gathering the rubble with his large hands and proceeded to pile them near the entrance of the cave. It would be astonishing if this makeshift wall could protect him from the Predacon sharpshooter, but at least the others would be safe.

Take the shot on Cheetor, the enemy seems to have found a area suitable for cover..

"Gladly." Sonar said then pulled the trigger aimming for Cheetors right shoulder.

Starshadow was bored then. She took the stuffs she made and tracked Steelclaw's scent. After she saw the predacons fighting with the maximals, she frowned. "They're playing without me!"

She climbed to the top of a tall tree which was near to the maximals and hid in the shadow of the leaves then cast her net of spikes above them. The heavy weights I fixed on the net should pull them down...if this doesn't, I still have Plan B and C. she thought with a smirk

Icebreaker raised an optic ridge under his infrared visor watching Starshadow sneak and then climb up the tree. He held up his shield as the net landed, then swiftly drew his gigantic knife cutting through the net.

Moving towards the tree he swiped upwardly cutting through the tree trunk in an angle to make it fall towards the open field.

He turned facing her with his knife held in a reverse hold, walking towards her with his shield faced towards the sniper position.

((OOC: Just so you know Starshadow, Ocariner's in a cave, Valkyrie's flying around in the air and Cheetor's running around in the plains [or maybe not in a second]. I think the only Maximal she'll find in the woods is Icebreaker.))

"I'm on it." he responded in his com-link. He was almost through x234 going west, so he soon turned south to reach y245.

"And Rattrap's not big either, but I still call him-" Cheetor was interrupted as a sniper round went through his right shoulder, and exited through the front of his body at a slight diagonal angle.

"AAAAAAAAH!"

The bullet was almost directly on line with his running path, so he was was sent further forward and a little to the right before falling over and rolling in a chaotic heap on the ground.

"Cheetor, maximize!" he shouted. Once in robot mode, he ran to the nearest boulder to conceal himself from the direction he had been shot from.

His beast mode shoulder joint and robot mode shoulder joint, while completely different parts, were close to each other in beast mode, so both had been thoroughly damaged. At least his com link was on his left arm.

"No kidding!" he shouted back on his com link. "I just got shot!" But even as he was talking, static filled the sound of his com link. The squid must have been jamming the links.

Cheetor got his gun into his left hand. It felt unnatural. The Predacon had to shoot the right arm, didn't he? Cheetor knew he had to get to the shelter and regroup. He'd have to disregard Valkyrie's path instructions and run between the rocks in quick, short intervals. He looked to the next one he'd have to make it to.

"Here goes." he told himself, before running as fast as he could.

Stupid bird.

Steelclaw could tell she was using irregular flight patterns to avoid him, but she couldn't be completely random, or she wouldn't actually stay in the air. Still, she was being random enough to make Steelclaw have to follow her carefully.

"Nice shot Sonar." he acknowledged. He had seen Cheetor fall over in the distance. "By the way," he continued as he chambered another round in his rifle, "the penguin just ran into the woods. So obviously I can't see him now, but I'd keep my eyes peeled. We can't have him sneaking up on us."

After he chambered his bullet, he looked in his scope and after a little work, got his target on Valkyrie. Then he had to keep on her. To the left, now down, now to the right. At least what were feet of movement for her were only millimeters of arm movement for him.

After he had kept on her for about 15 nanoclicks, he fired. If she could continually evade ammunition that traveled faster than the speed of sound, well, he'd have to do some covert research in the Maximal base.

It took a lot of energy out of him, but the cave had more depth and there were stone barricades to defend the smaller Maximal infantry. Orcariner never considered himself an artist, but creating this image before him with only his hands gave him a swelling emotion of pride.

"Scout to team leader," he said into his radio, "HQ is complete, over."

"AAAAAAAAH!"

Sonar chuckled.
Ahh, music to my ears. He thought with a smile.

Maximals! We are under attack! Cut all radio chatter unless you need to warn a teammate!

"No kidding!" "I just got shot!"

Sonar smiled and waited for the cat to move so he fire at him again.

"Nice shot Sonar." "By the way," "the penguin just ran into the woods. So obviously I can't see him now, but I'd keep my eyes peeled. We can't have him sneaking up on us after all."

"Yeah, i know. If the flightless brid shows up i'll deal with him." Sonar said keeping his eyes on Cheetor.
That kid must have a death wish. Sonar said turning into a fully automatic.
He fired when Cheetor started running.

As Cheetor was running to the next boulder, a storm of bullets suddenly entered his vicinity, kicking up small spouts of dust. Cheetor ran even faster, and eventually made it behind his destination.

This was going to be a long, frightening process. But at least if the person who was sniping at him was the one who was now using an automatic, he could hope to rely on the fact that almost any non-sniping weapons had accuracy problems over sniping distances. The slightest deviation in a person's firing position could throw off ammunition by yards.

Cheetor didn't normally like geometry, but it seemed pretty cool now.

Starshadow just smiled at the penguin and used her tail to smack away his knife and walked towards him. Then, she pounced on Icebreaker, sinking her fangs on his neck and suck out his mech fluid.

Icebreaker growled grabbing her head from the back to pull her from his neck, then rolls slamming her head into the ground, he climbs ontop of the much smaller robot pressing his knee onto her stomach, his hand moved on her throat gripping tightly in a position that prevented her from opening her mouth. Sorry ma'am, but we've only just met. I don't let girls give me hickys this quick.

The feline growled in pain. Starshadow's tail coiled around Icebreaker's ankles and held it up high with him upside down. She then tossed him away from where she was standing. Oops... she licked her bloody fangs while watching the penguin fall.

Icebreaker threw his arms out grabbing the ground as he rolled his body onto his feet in the landing, his body was fairly used to being knocked around and fairly flexible to meet the demands he put on it with his extreme hobbies.

He then charged at StarShadow swiftly shoulder ramming her with his shield knocking her against a tree, his right arm grabbing one of his grappling hooks, then turning it upside down as he rammed it into her stomach and into the tree. Stick around.. I'll be back for you later..

He walked over to his knife picking it up breathing heavily to cool his systems down from the sudden rush, he then looked into the woods noticing heat signatures off in the distance just barely. If he followed order's they'd just be pinned down in a cave, but if he went himself he could probably take out the sniping units and end this unnecessary conflict.

Starshadow was bleeding badly. She just winced in pain in every movement she made. Seeing the hole in her stomach gave her horrible flashbacks of her past. Screaming, she tried to pull the grappling hook out of her stomach but it was stuck in the tree.

Then finally, she got it out of her. Too much mech fluid flowing out of her body, she passed out.

Steelclaw heard a scream in the distance. He figured Sonar had probably heard it even louder.

"Looks like the penguin's coming for us." he noted to his firing partner.

Icebreaker noticed Cheetor pinned down, he then looked at Starshadow's fallen body. Turning around he walked towards the Energon tied grappling hook picking it up, it seemed insane but it was his commander's original plan..

He threw his shield out as it deployed into his vehicle configuration, then stepped on leaning on a low stance with his knee on the board. It powered up to high speed quick as he then pointed his frost launcher out firing off 3 micro missiles into the distance at the sniping point.

The intention of the missile was simply to cause a diversion as he swiftly moved towards Cheetor's area he shifted the board on it's side and drew his knife slamming it into the ground to slow him down behind the cover.

Hey spots, you okay? he then said lifting his shield putting it back on his shoulder mount Hey uh.. you may want to transform to beast mode, things are about to get.. extreme. he then loaded the energon tied grappling hook into his gun, sides of his helmet closing over his face.

Glowstick watched as the Penguin had nailed Starshadow to a tree, he cringed at the thought. Then watched him rush towards the Cheetah. What does that psycho think he's doing? Wait.. what's that glowing thing he's carrying?... he then said to himself.
