((OOC: Sorry if this is long, but I have two more exams to study for and four labs to prepare for this week. I'm just going to try and cover enough ground so that my inactivity for the next few days won't stall the RPG. If there's anything that's fishy about my post, then go ahead and ignore it and I'll edit it when I have time

"
Acknowledged, over and out."
Orcariner kicked away and proceeded to swim forward towards his destination. The blips on his radar still showed that the Maximals and Predacons were having a stand-off and none of them seemed to be moving. Icebreaker and Feralnight had some terrain to cross and he could barely fathom what the weather conditions would be like. Something else caught his eye.
"
Whoah," he said.
In the distance, there was a small pod of killer whales swimming about. Orcariner pushed forward and gained as much speed as he could muster. It appeared to be a relatively small group as opposed to the one he encountered when he had first arrived on this planet. He counted four adults and two calves. It was the first time he saw the latter and they surprisingly looked more like delphinidae than whales. His registry brought up twenty-three calls that his species would use. Orcariner was hesitant to make contact, however, as the data that Cybertron had on otherworldly creatures came from early adventurers like the Autobots. He had no idea what time period nor what planet they were visiting, so the calls could have been either outdated or too futuristic. He decided to try a safe greeting and sang the tune. One of the orca turned to face him and that was when Orcariner realized just how big these creatures could get.
I probably look like an adolescent or young adult in their eyes, he thought.
Despite his Cybertronian anatomy, the adults alone would probably be capable of inflicting extensive damage to him should they feel threatened. After all, they outnumbered him and appeared to be highly protective of their young ones. Orcariner chose not to continue his attempt to communicate with these animals and proceeded towards the crash site. The orca pod returned to their journey to the west and soon disappeared from sight. His tail continued to kick and his thoughts once more carried him away.
I've had my fair share of travels here, but even now I find myself amazed by the very species my beast mode is based off of. The crew was supposed to journey across the stars and research these kinds of things, but the Beast Wars have distracted them from their original purpose. This crazy pursuit of Megatron made us forget at times who we are and what we were built for. Maybe I should ask Optimus to just let some of us take a week off and explore. I don't know how, but I'm sure that we'll get back to Cybertron one way or another. We might as well bring back something to show for our stay here.
He chuckled, releasing some bubbles from his mouth as he did so.
I kind of forgot why I was in this war to begin with. I'm not an explorer, I'm a... well... I'm a potential-candidate-for-Imperial-Peace-Marshal. I guess I should start considering myself part of Optimus Primal's group of scientists and researchers. After all, there's no point in playing body guard for a pod that's not even...
Orcariner stopped swimming.
Oh sla- I mean, oh no, he thought,
What the heck happened to X? Is he still up there with the rest of them? What if he burned up in the atmosphere? That would mean I wouldn't have to bother providing escort for his pod. What if he crashed when we crashed and is secretly roaming this planet?
Being on Primal's team for so long made the killer whale forget his original task which was assigned by the Maximal Council. It was supposed to be the easiest job ever that would help boost his resume. Depth Charge did all of the hard work. Orcariner just had to sit in the cargo bay and stare at a tightly locked stasis pod that held a protoform that was not even armed. The
Axalon would deposit the pod on some rock and then the mighty Maximal would go back home humming his favorite tunes.
"
Uuugggghhh," he groaned, "
How did we get ourselves into this mess? I can't believe I lost the one thing that can't even move. I really need to 'thank' Megatron for all of this the next time I see him."
If the Maximals somehow made it home and Orcariner did not provide proof that his task was complete, then he would receive a reprimand from both the council and his former teacher. The one mission that was supposed to send his resume through the roof was now the one that will toss it into the Pit. The killer whale was thankful that his sensors suddenly beeped in rapid successions. He needed to take his mind off this.
"
Looks like the pod is pretty close. Maximize!"
Transforming into robot mode, the fans in Orcariner's body vents pushed him to the ice overhead. The layer was now thicker than it was back at the felines' position, but nonetheless, Orcariner proceeded to dig his way through it with little effort. Climbing out, he took caution and tested the ground with his left foot. After several taps, he figured it would be best to stick to his gravity lifts. Transforming back into his killer whale form, the Maximal proceeded to float through the snow and checked his radar for progress. The fallen vessel was not very far and as he approached it, Orcariner was able to make out a white lump sticking out of the ice.
"
Maximize!" he commanded once more.
Slowly walking to the odd protrusion, Orcariner took his hand and rubbed the object. The snow was easily cleaned off, revealing black metal underneath which was still encased in ice. The fact that is was frozen over made the task much more difficult than it should have been for Orcariner. Grunting, the giant struggled to pull the object out of the ice but eventually succeeded.
"
No wonder," he panted, "
Over half of it was below water. I should have swam underneath it and tackled the piece of tin out."
Taking another look at this discovery, Orcariner had a puzzled look on his face. Perhaps it was due to him not actually being inside of the
Axalon's bridge at the time of detection, but he was under the assumption that this was supposed to be a pod or container of some sort. On the contrary, this entire object appeared to be a body of a transformer.
"
Well hello, Big Bertha," he said with a look of surprise, "
I was certainly not expecting this. Anyway, let's give you a look and see why you're in the state that you are. Hmm, it seems that the sub-zero temperatures here are an obvious factor for you not being up and about. Well, maybe that's not exactly the case here."
Orcariner zoomed his optics in for a closer look. It was difficult to see fine detail through the layer of ice even if it was very thin. However, some features were hard not to miss.
"
Battle scars, much?" he noted, "
I'm guessing someone or something put you offline."
He took some quick registers of her physical identity.
"
Sheer size would indicate that you are either large for our generation, or one of the smaller ones of our predecessors. Chest plate says that you're either female or a very unfortunate male. No signs of firearms so those were either lost in combat or you're close quarters specific."
Orcariner continued to give the unknown robot full body search for any clues on who it was and where it came from. He did not recognize this one from the archives but that could simply be due to its current condition. One feature did catch his eye, however. It was hard to make out but the Maximal unsheathed one of his energo blade and proceeded to gradually defrost that particular spot. As soon as he was done, Orcariner's jaw dropped.
"
That's not good."
He was looking at a Decepticon.

NaitoKage wrote:Hehehehe.. Why so tense Terrorsaur? You should feel glad I even bothered to come out here after the fish and dog left.
If he could, Terrorsaur would have jumped at the sound of Tarantulas' voice.
"
How did you? When did you?"
Words were at a loss for him.
"
Nevermind," he grumbled.
The energon radation was getting to him and Terrorsaur did not want to lay there and discuss this situation with someone like Tarantulas. The spider scared him enough when he was in one piece. Grabbing his lower half, Terrorsaur quickly twisted some wires together and latched together whatever hinges he could find. It was messy and he knew that half of these field repairs were wrong, but as long he could transform and fly back to their base, he was fine.
"
Beast mode!"
The transformation was not a pretty sight. His chest cavity was not even completely seal and wires and broken metal jutted out from these gaps. He squawked in pain but proceeded to flap his wings to gain altitude. Optimus Primal may have won once again, but Terrorsaur will have his revenge some day.
