High Moon Studios is developing the new DOTM game. This will be interesting to say the least.

Front page has the trailer for the Dark of the Moon game and Shockwave's in it. I am rather underwhelmed by his appearance.

The game and movie don't differ when it comes to character appearances. If I'm underwhelmed now, I'll be underwhelmed in the theater. Still, I'm going to reserve judgement on his character until I see how he actually behaves. Let's hope he doesn't turn into another Fallen-like villain.

Take a look at the recent gameplay trailer for DOTM:
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gdc-1 ... ark/711493
It appears to have the same game engine as War for Cybertron (no surprise looking at the developer). I might give it a rental since I really enjoyed WFC. Also, is it just me or does that red tank look like Warpath to anyone else? I really hope he's in this movie and maintains G1 character.

I don't know much about Warpath but it looked like him. I got chills watching that trailer, I know that i will enjoy this game like I deeply enjoyed War for Cybertron.

So I just saw Battle: Los Angeles today. I was very impressed with how accurate it portrayed a U.S. military response to a surprise alien invasion. Not only that, but I also liked how it illustrated organization and actual military structure to the invaders, as well.
Now, I want to see this in Dark of the Moon. In the first Transformers movie, the humans got whooped even with the Autobots' help (who didn't really do so hot either). The Decepticons didn't even do anything special. They just showed up and kicked butt. In ROTF, the humans put up a fight and actually scored some legitimate kills on the battle field. Balance wasn't as much of an issue there. Even still, apart from Lennox and Epps' battalion, military response was kind of slow. Several things had to have raised alarms before the Egypt battle:
1) U.S. and British military forces were aware of Autobot and Decepticon existences. They should be on constant alert for any unusual behavior, especially since they had CIA operatives in Egypt.
2) High concentration of meteors that crash into a naval armada with incredible precision and destroy all the ships in sight. Major. Red. Flag. Navy has the technology to pick up any heat generating airborne projectile that's headed their way.
3) The Fallen sort of made a world-wide speech on how Earth was his. Civilians may shrug it off as a joke, but military knows better since they are aware of Cybertronian existence.
4) High concentration of meteors that crash into Egypt with incredible precision. After what happened to the U.S. navy, you'd think every military power in the world would be quick to react to any meteor sightings of similar pattern.
Now we come to the third and final movie. From the two trailers that were released, we know for sure that the Decepticons are launching what appears to be a global assault on Earth. They're bringing soldiers, dragons, tentacles, transport ships, capitals ships, etc. We are expecting Michael Bay to deliver the battle that will end this war on our planet. After what happened in the first two movies, I really want a strong showing from both the U.S. military as well as the Autobots. The game revealed that Warpath will probably be in the film. This means that the Autobots are working more closely with the military since you can't really disguise yourself well if you ride around highways as a tank. Sure, people might say that if the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force are shown to kick too much Decepticon tail, then it'll detract from the whole "Transformers" aspect of this movie. I disagree, because this movie takes place on Earth; not Cybertron. If Earth is in jeopardy, then we should have our fair share of screen time in this fight. The Autobots for sure don't have the numbers to fight off the Decepticon invasion. If Michael bay has us emerging victorious, I'd want it to be because we couldn't have won without the Autobots, and the Autobots couldn't won without us.
Now let me rant about Decepticons. Megatron is the only one who seemed to have a true grasp on his objectives. The rest appear to be mindless henchmen who just go on rampages and wreck havoc. Like I said before, we know they're invading us at full force, and we know who's leading them in this movie. Shockwave is known for his intelligence, cunning behavior, and obsession with following logical action. I think it'd be cool to see Decepticons act like soldiers instead of monsters, even if it risks humanizing them. I really want to be blown away by their initial strike, have the U.S. military launch a counterattack, and then enjoy how Shockwave finds a way to adapt to the situation (and vice versa). Sorry for the cliche, but war is like chess. While at times it appears to be scrambled and chaotic, every move is done with a reason to lead to the game winning kill.
TL;DR = I want a better military showing from both the humans and the Shockwave-led Decepticons. I also want Prime to take Shockwave's face and hang it on his wall.

You raise quite a few good points there Alak and I agree with you on all of them, but I don't think that was dragon. I think that was Lazorbeak.
I also want Prime to take Shockwave's face and hang it on his wall.
Who doesn't want to see that. But I'm afraid that Shockwave doesn't have a face so Optimus might end up ripping his head off and mounting it on his wall, like you said.

I believe it's Laserbeak. Laserbeak's the name of the G1 Decepticon (and Autobot in Armada). Lazorbeak was the Predacon in Beast Wars.
Whatever the scrap a "Lazor" is (Predacon illiteracy FTL!)

Fundings for Decepticon and Predacon education after the Pax Cybertronia had significant cuts. Spelling classes were essentially non-existent
