So...you're voting for Dinobot simply because you love the character more?

No that's not what i meant, Dinobot's and Silverbolt's codes of honor is different, Dinobot's is a lot more strict, then Silverbolt's. I repsect both Dinobot and Silverbolt equally its just Silverbolt is an idiot and doesn't think before he acts some times.

"Dinobot also goes by honor, but it only seems to stick with him in combat."
"That's why my vote easily goes to Silverbolt since his character is consistent whether he's in downtime or engaged in combat."

"I see people throwing out comments on him being lame, stupid, etc. and Dinobot being brave and an awesome warrior. That has NOTHING to do with a person's honor."

do we really need to fight about it?

It's okay guys, come on. Silverbolt was honorable, actually I thought he was more loyal than honorable. Remember when Cheetor was going to go get she-spider, and 'Bolt's shot him...Honor? I think he was loyal to the she-spider.
Dinobot was honorable when it was in combat true, but I'm sure if I watched some episodes again, I would see more examples. Read in between the lines. DB always talked about honor, honoring this and that.
When 'Bolt's did it was about his "beloved."
I don't know, that's just what I think.

Discussion, not fight. However, if there's anything that I'm getting aggravated over, it's the fact that persistent nay-sayers are throwing irrelevant comments that don't help their stance at all.

I already pointed that out; he punched him, not shot him. However, you do bring up an excellent rebuttal which I commend you for. Silverbolt himself is a self-proclaimed "heroic character" and therefore he has to carry traits such as loyalty, honesty, and honor. It becomes very difficult to differentiate between the them sometimes. When he refuses to hit Blackarachnia, you may see it as him indulging in his infatuation and I can see it as him following his code of honor. Yet, I will concede the fact that I can't justify him attacking Cheetor (no matter how many times he apologized per hit). He struck a teammate and that's just wrong...period. On the other hand:
"Yeah, Silverbolt punched out Cheetor and gave technology to Blackarachnia. By no means is he a perfect character. However, if we were to make a list comparing Dinobot and Silverbolt, you'll find that the latter doesn't flip-flop as much and he definitely exhibits his honor more frequently in all situations."
You're definitely on to something about his loyalty being confused with honor. I'm sticking with my vote, but thank you for bringing that up. Oh, and on the matter of Dinobot speaking of Honor, he always uses it in a warrior's context in nearly all of his referrals to it.

That wasn't even remotely similar to what Darkshadow14 said...but I'll just assume you're taking the same perspective

I do like Silverbolt even if he is a little..slow. I like in the episode 'crossing the Rubicon" when he went after tarantulas. Though I think he should have killed him instead of just beating him up.

Oooh, oops. Sorry, Alak I met punched, I was on a typing spree. lol.

I think we are on the same point, about Silverbolt getting mixed up with his loyalty and his honor. He does tend to get confused, err, mixed up sometimes.
Dinobot is a warrior, yes, or was....but are warriors really loyal? As well as honorable? I don't think so, brought in this case Dinobot sure seemed to be. I still say Dinobot, but Alak I like where your taking this. Very good.

Here's an interesting thesis, and feel free to disagree because I'm just throwing something out here:
An honorable person is a loyal person, whether it is loyalty to a conviction or to another individual. However, a loyal person is not exactly an honorable person.
We can all agree that Silverbolt's lack of common sense can cause him to mix up loyalty and honor, but I cannot deny that he carries both traits. His reason for leaving the Predacons, his defense of Transmutate, and his refusal for striking Blackarachnia (before the crush) are examples of his code of honor. Silverbolt's beration of Depth Charge, his pursuit of Blackarachnia when she left for the Ark, and his plea to remain with Optimus after being scrapped by a bomb are examples of his loyalty. I'd say combining all of the above would classify him as a very honorable Maximal...despite his obvious shortcomings.
...and then Beast Machines screwed that up, but my point is he probably ranks #2 in my list of honorable BW characters. I have nothing to add about Dinobot (it's all on the first page), so from here on I can only pull for Silverbolt.

Well, this is a most interesting topic.

(I'm just skimming through this mind you, I'm in a time crush.)
As an avid Dinobot fan, I am biased. Way biased. However there is a reason behind it.
Dinobot's code of honor stands taller (to me) simply because he was a Predacon, who are usually charactarized as sneaky conniving little cheaters (exhibit A: Tarantulas). Silverbolt did start out as a Pred, but he didn't have a Pred shell program in him, or (like Dinobot) a lifetime among the Preds (who would most likely be dishonorable). So that being said, while Silverbolt seems to have stuck consistantly to his code, Dinobot's seemed more... extreme.
Dinobot FTW!
