I'm one to stay away from limewire for warez and appz. I stick to Mirc and torrents for that kind of stuff. Less chance of getting spyware,adware and viruses. Limewire is more for music I find, atleast for myself.

That's what a lot of people say. Me, I've had only one bad file, I just pay attention to the file size and will usually only download zipped files, especially if I'm after a keygen, then I just scan it and either shred it or open it.

I use Limewire just for ease of use, I really should start using torrents though. I'll look into that other thing you mentioned.
