Hoooookay, I'll give you some official BWR specs on the characters I've been bothered to write for XD



Jagna

Maximal Leader (of the crew on Earth)
Beast Mode: Leopard
Gendre: Female
Weapons: Extendable claws, retractable foot daggers, quasar gun (rarely used)
Personality: As leader, she has many responsibilities. Over the years, she has learned to deal with them, and her teammates. But she is not very trusting, unlike Optimus. She is a capable warrior, and rushes to her comrades' aid when needed. However, there are a few conditions to being a true comrade: they need to earn her trust, and that could take a while.
(To those of you who know Jag from RPGs or fics not on FF.net, this is an AU version of her. Doi. )


Greyback

Maximal Lieutenant
Beast Mode: Grey Wolf
Gendre: Male
Weapons: Standard machine gun (similar to Rattrap's), flame neutraliser
Personality: Very brash, rude and unbearable at times, Greyback takes his position very seriously. If there is a threat of any kind, he will address it immediately. Yet despite his rough edges, he is a very caring bot who will do anything for his team mates. There is a reason he's lieutenant, you know.


Skylark

Medic/Technician
Beast Mode: Tawny Owl
Gendre: Female
Weapons: TBD
Personality: Bubbly, interested to learn anything she can about the old Axalon technology from Rhinox, but she can be serious when she needs to be. She has a tendancy to blurt things out at the wrong times, however. "There's never time to think!"


Sandskimmer

Beast Mode: Jerboa
Gendre: Male
Weapons:
Personality: Basically, he's the Cheetor of Pangaea One. cocky, loud, fast and sometimes insubordinate, people expect nothing less than mischief of him, especially Greyback. Like Cheetor, he gets into quite a bit of trouble, and also resents being called a kid.

oh it's easy to create an OC and his/her back story. It's just hard to come up with what they look like.

Trust me, Artemis, when you have as many OCs as I do names is on a par with character designs O-o

But yes, you're absolutely right.

Most of the time I don't have a hard time coming up with a name and design for an OC. But for my first Beast Wars OC I had trouble coming up with a name for her. I think it was someone called MyBlueOlivion who helped me come up with a name on the Fanfiction.net. I liked his suggestion so I went with it. But then when I finally stated watching G1 and saw that there was a TF named Skyfire, I thought "Dang it!" at first. But I choose to stick with the name because I like it. But other than I normally have trouble coming up with a backgroun half the time.

Well now that you mention it... it took me forever to come up with Sonar's name. I was trying to come up with something that involved being under water and eventually just called her that. yeah naming them can be a huge pain as well.

Oh God that's worse.I tried to draw Scoreent one time and I wanted to make him look innocent,so I thought of Lio Junior form Beast Wars II.Thjen I wanted him to be grand,so I thought of Lio Convoy.I wanted him to be swift,so I thought of Beast Machines Cheetor.Of course I wnated him to resemble the villian in the end of Transtech,so I used Beast wars Cybertronian Megatron.

Yeah sometimes the design can be difficult. Heck I'm having trouble coming up with a design for my G1 OC. But as OCs go she's fairly new to my list of OCs.

I've read been reading reading your Transtech fic Wonko, and when I read it I do have an image in my head what I think Scoreent possiably looks likes, well for the body anyway. But I have trouble imaging a face though.

Really,you got an idea for his body,awesome....but yeah the face has been a greuling task.I wanted to give him Beast Machines Megatron's eyes,but it's not innocent.He does have a grand lion's mane(As Shockwave said it once)and he's not only a child,but a child of wisdom and ambition...........................I should take a good look from some of the G1 characters to get some idea.

Yeah I guess I could look at G1 femmes to hel give me ideas. I used Airazor as a model for designing Skyfire and I used Dinobot to give me ideas for designing Triassicus.

Dis is great dat soooo many of you got these supa cool characters dat will soon grace some of BWint fanfic archives. I cant wait to hear more bout dem.

I've got a coupla of my own OC but I think I'll wait till I actually write bout them before I reveal who they are.

The absoultely hardest thing for me is the dreaded MARY SUE I try to make characters likable and powerful and perfect, and soon i'm looking at an army of mary sues. *gasp* THE HORROR!!!

Hmm...Mistbeast doesn't count becuase he's just a fragment of Tigatron's spark. Well in one of my stories there's a character named Topazor, Silverbolt's son. He's a tall, scrawny, sky-blue robot who can turn into an avian wolf. The wolf looks entirely tehcnomatter, unlike Silverbolt, and is blue, not silver.

I've also got this kid bot who pops up in my imagination all the time, but who doesn't really have a name...he's orange, brown, and green and his beast mode is a weasel. And if anybody here starts insulting weasels--which are THE COOLEST LITTLE ANIMALS IN THE WORLD--then you'll face my wrath!!!!

Naming isn't too hard, I have two different strategies. Idea #1, take one of your favorite names and fit it with a robot word like "tron" "con" or "zor." One of my favorite names is Mira, which I just plaugged up to "tron" to create Miratron, the femme of Cybertronian Civil War.

Idea #2, come up with a name that has something to do with the character's appearance, and then add a "zor" "tron," ect. Topaz is a kind of stone that can be light blue or orange, and because my wolf-bot is blue, I named him Topazor.

I don't like adding tron to the names cuz that only really worked with Megatron and other bots with the word 'tron" in their name seems kind of copys... then again i could say the same for myself cuz too of my OCs have the last part of their name being "star" and one of them has the "mia" at the end of their name. infact one is named "Chromia" but she mostly goes by the name "Angel"

I have seven OCs for now. My first two are for RP (My username and my pre-BW name,Razorblade) My other four are not strictly Beast Wars,but pr-BW.

I am currently working on a name for Pre-BW Tarantulas,but it is quite hard.

In an RP I'm part of one of friends has an OC named Razorblade and in our RP we also came up with background stories for some of cannon Beast Warriors. In the RP one of my friends named pre-BW Tarantulas, Phobia and pre-BW Tigatron, Stellar and another friend called pre-Beast Wars Terrosaur, Terrorsaor and pre-BW Waspinator, Terminator.

Though My OC Skyfire still has the same name she had on Cybertron, but I haven't been able to think of pre-bw name for Triassicus.
