VampyerBA: - that's great news!!
And OOP, I really hope you can go. And what's this about everyone not being able to go? It's looking like we're gonna have nearly TWICE the number we had in Botcon last year. Of the people I know who're attending/thinking about going, they include me, Miss Spesh, Outty, Dragonsflayme, Hacker, Beastbot, Crab, ChibiJaimie, Omie (well she said she'd like to go and is gonna try), VampyerBA and of course, you. If all those people do make it, that's 11 of us. Squeebles!
I'm most likely booking my flight next week, since the Canadian Gathering's pretty much confirmed.

I don’t know if I can go yet, I hope so because I really want to. I’m going to try and make it at least. I have a cousin in the Ohio area that I’m going to ask for help, so I’m hoping for the best.

Crapmunchers..I wanna go. <_< But I am poor and I cannot find my way out of a wet paper bag, so driving from Florida to Kentucky is outta the question. :p
Hope you guys have a good time!

Well, frack-a-doodle.
Looks like I'm in the same boat as some here.
Though I had it my mind since yester year I would try to go to this... as stated before, I don't think that'll happen. The phrase, "a snow balls chance in hell", seems to fit quite well with my situation.
Oh well, always next year. Have fun to all those going!

I have deemed this thread sticky-worthy.
Also, those of us staying with Hacker (and Hacker herself), or those planning to go as a group or whatever might be going on need to get together soon and chat about plans and such. We need to be coordinated.

This is just an update to all hoping to go to BotCon: We had the big Botcon chat on Saturday the 8th and discussed some details there and collaborated on pooling money for a nearby and cheaper hotel. I WILL be emailing everyone a summary of what was discussed, including those of you who couldn't make it to the chat. I thought I'd just give everyone the heads up.

If it's not a problem with you, Sapph, I'll be posting a copy of that e-mail over in the Hangar as well, in case anyone there who's not on your mailing list and still wants to go to BotCon can get the heads-up, too.

Wow.... only a short 9 hour and 45 minute drive [sarcasm]. XD Too bad I hate big planes, but that'd be a lot of gas. X_X I'd love to go to a Con one of these days, but unless they have one a little closer to PA, I'll probably never make it. Gah I hate being a poor college student. Hrmmm... unless I get some friends to go along... we could split the costs. I know I could convince my brother to go with... unless he gets a job shortly after graduation, i doubt he'd want to use his vacation days so quick... rawr. Sorry... i'm babbling... I have a bad habit of doing that on forums. >_>

You might remember Black Baron (a.k.a. Baron Fel0), who's also a member of my own Hangar and used to post part-time in the older Aimoo boards. I just got word from Baron yesterday that he can go to BotCon as well. I'll be helping him in sorting out his lodging choices, with Haxx's help.

Would Black Baron like to be a part of our mailing list, do you think, Outty?

I've just asked him yesterday in the Hangar's own BotCon Planning thread, so it should be a matter of time before he replies. Most likely, I'm thinking he'll accept being added.

I know exactly how you feel, Webs. I remember the first time I found out about the BotCons the year one was held in NY. I was so mad! LoL Eventually, though, my brother and I talked my mom into taking us to the '01 BotCon in NC. Then again to the '03 in Chicago. She's an ex-Trekkie, which is a plus for us because she used to go the Star Trek conventions all the time when they came around PA in Valley Forge, and she knows how "cool" they are. LoL I live with a family of nerds!
But don't worry. Maybe someday one will be held at Valley Forge or Filth-adelphia, or again at NY. Would be nice not to travel so far for once.
By the way, Sapph, so far I'm good to go this year. Kentucky, here I come! ...Along with my mom, older sister, her b/f, my brother and his g/f. o.O LoL Good times.

Thanks to my recently-arrived tax return, I finally mailed off my BotCon registration the other day, signing up for the Primus Package. I. Want. That. TOY SET.
Also, Sapph; I got word from Baron that you can add him to your BWInt-&-Hangar BotCon mailing list.
