"I guess that's no?" Steelclaw shouted as Valkyrie took off. He looked to Glowstick somewhat defensively.

"Beast mode!" he commanded his computer.

"We were fighting over nothing. What exactly were you trying to accomplish?" he asked curiously. Then he remembered Glowstick's offer.

"Oh, and, well... thanks, but my beast mode's motor capabilities rely on slightly different parts than my battle mode's. So I should be good." He took a tentative step forward and noticed that even as a bear, he was having a slight limp. It would be manageable though.

Glowstick shrugged Mostly sniping to weaken the maximal command.. there is something unnatural about that birdbot.. Glowstick then looked at the laser weapon on the back of his tentacle, even it's swift movements and the fact it used a weapon at the speed of light couldn't strike Valkyrie.

Glowstick then floated into the air Guess I'll have to become stronger to deal with all these maximal fliers.. what a pain.. Well, I better drop the kitty off. I'll be back for you if you don't get back in a bit. His body then let out a jet of air from his back syphon speeding off into the sky.

Steelclaw started walking off towards the Darksyde.

Hmm... Steelclaw realized he must have not been a great help to that mission then. He had merely attempted deterring the Maximals.

He had killed before. It was just... it seemed if Megatron could acquire the necessary energon and just head back to Cybertron to start the Predacon's rightful revolution, there wasn't an absolute need to kill any Maximals which crossed the sniper's scope, even enemy combatants. If they ever presented themselves in a situation where their death was necessary to the Darksyde's cause, then so be it. But Sonar's ship had been blown to bits, hadn't it?

Stupid bird. Steelclaw figured the fact he couldn't hit her during the mountain fight was a result of his limitations in hand to hand combat. But now, in battle mode, he hadn't been able to touch her more than once. She was avoiding straight beams. And she was, it seemed, dodging bullets. Or she was just avoiding them with style- she couldn't actually see them coming. It was as if some unknown will had decided she was not to be touched.

"Well," Steelclaw muttered under his breath, "May your shoulder hurt you for many megacycles."

Then something else occurred to him.

"Glowstick," he said on his com-link, "do you know how to listen to the Maximal's communications?"

Kicking burning debris aside, Orcariner looked at the wreckage around him. The Predacons seemed to have dispersed on his radar so there was no need for the giant to worry about maintaining a low profile. Grabbing a data console, Orcariner ripped it from what used to be the cockpit and inspected it. The screen was cracked and the chips inside were beyond repair. Tossing it aside, the Maximal radioed the team leader.

"Any idea what we should be looking for?"

Glowstick raised an optic lid responding on his communication system Yeah, I do that all the time. That's how I knew the bird was a commanding unit. Glowstick then relayed the communication he suddenly picked up broadcasting it to Steelclaw

Steelclaw stopped in his tracks, and narrowed his eyes. They weren't gone yet.

"Tell me you heard that." he said to Glowstick. The he paused for a bit. "Should we just let them inspect the area? There isn't anything to hide, after all."

Glowstick heard Steelclaw respond, then turned his mic on Yeah, I heard it. Basically the bird gave radio commands to them to regroup to a better defense area. Alfa Tango 538 I believe she said. So.. avoid that area.

Glowstick continued on his way in the air Only other thing of value out there is Sonar.. if you can call anyone that crazy "value".That ship was junk when I inspected it.. no, let me rephase that, that pile of smoking metal fragments is junk.

"Alright. I guess we're going back to base." he responded. He was glad for that.

Cheetor had gone down farther along the river to the point where the Maximals were supposed to regroup. He got on his com-link to talk to Valkyrie.

"So, what exactly are we supposed to do now?"

With the night passed and day raised, a small craft was seen in the distance coming towards Steelclaw. Glowstick slowed the vehicle down which appeared to be like a strange jury ridged jeep. I have good news, and I have bad news.. The good news is, Optimus Primal is terminated. The bad news is.. we've been ordered to keep the maximals occupied and keep them away from their base. Hope you don't mind, but.. I brought somethings from your room to make it a little easier.. the Squid pointed to the back of the vehicle revealing some boxes of ammo and Steelclaw's Minigun.

Icebreaker stepped out of the river eating a fish, he looked around and walked towards Cheetor, wondering how long it'd be for his system's to recharge.

Steelclaw's internal repairs had been working on his hip, and his computer estimated that about 34% of the damage done to it had been fixed.

"Well, nothing the CR chamber won't..."

Just then he saw Glowstick coming in the distance. Steelclaw stopped where he was and waited for the vehicle to get to him. Please no...

Grr. Well, he wasn't hired to stay at the Darksyde.

It was good news Optimus Primal was terminated. His ideals and determination had been causing many problems for the Predacons. Still, it seemed a waste of life. If he could have just gotten out of the way and let the Predacons claim what was theirs, he would still be alive. Steelclaw began to wonder who pulled the trigger to finally finish him.

Well, there wasn't too much time to consider. There was a task at hand, so at this specific moment it wasn't beneficial to feel sorry for his enemy. Maybe later.

"Look at you." he answered Glowstick with half of a smile. He walked to the back of the vehicle. "Steelclaw, terrorize." He needed to inspect the gun, so he immediately set to taking it apart.

"Alright then. Should we make this a basic 'scout-the-enemy-position-and-snipe', or were you thinking something different?" Then another thought occurred to him. "And did you ever see or hear from Sonar?"

Glowstick turned in the chair I haven't seen hide nor hair of Sonar. I'm going to try contacting him on the radio..Orders on him are if he doesn't help, we can terminate him. I'm guessing your hip rotator hasn't repaired.. so sniping seems like a good plan, using the Minigun as a trump card if they get too close..

Glowstick then pulled out two purple canisters handing them to Steelclaw These are poison slime tanks under high pressure. Shoot them and they'll explode, when the slime gets in wounds or joints it'll paralyze the victim for half a cycle.. I'm sure you can think of how to use these too.

Glowstick then activates his communication system Sonar, this is Glowstick, if your alive respond.

Sonar was busy in his lair irritating the crud out of the Honey Badger, so when ever Sonar came into its line of sight, it would try to attack the bat every chance it got.

Sonar sighed and walked away from the very angry Badger. "What do you want, Squid?" Sonar asked with a small irritated sigh.

Glowstick's eyes dimmed hearing the response We got orders from Megatron,I find it'd be nice if you rondevu with Steelclaw and myself. I dropped Starshadow off at base, so you wont have to worry about friendly fire..for now.

Glowstick turned his mic off I guess worse comes to worse we can use him as a decoy.. he then snickers.

"Very well seeing how the orders are from Megatron. Is this location at the base or else where. Good that mangy feline needs a break." Sonar replied looking over at the badger who was growling loudly at him.

I guess worse comes to worse we can use him as a decoy..

"Quit snickering Squid. Now the location?" Sonar growled slightly.

"Keep them." Steelclaw responded as Glowstick handed him the canisters. "I'm pretty inexperienced with close range contact chemicals- you'd know how to use your weapons better than me."

The minigun was operable, and the two Predacons didn't really have time for him to give it a thorough cleaning, so after a small time spent working on especially troubled spots, Steelclaw put the components of the weapon back together.

"On that note," he continued, "let me contradict myself a cycle. I normally leave this back at base because between this and my other weapons, the only time it's practical to carry so many diversified arms is on solo missions, where you've got no one to cover similar tactical ground."

"So," he said, reaching into one of the ammo pouches for some more incendiary rounds for his rifle, and then grabbing three more sniper rounds, "do you feel like using a minigun?"
