"I'm right behind you."
Optimus gave her a nod and took off quickly on his knuckles and hind feet toward the standing stones.
Something big, a unidentified object has landed at the standing stones. Optimus is going with Saber to investigate the crash.
Rattrap shook his head.
"Man, I am tellin' ya, we should've stayed away from that place. But does anybody listen to the rat? No! Who knows what that, that, that thing can do. If ya ask me, Fearless Leader's got a few wires loose to go checkin' it out." Looking at the data of the unknown object on the screen, the rat was feeling some bad vibes.
I think we'll stay here and monitor the communications just incase something goes wrong over there..
"Oh, yeah, yeah, we'll stay here. ...Where it's safe," Rattrap commented.

Approaching the site where the shiny, gold probe with strange markings inscribed on it motionlessly hovered above the spot where the energon was once buried, Megatron slowed down and stopped, listening for any of the Maximals. Everything seemed calm and silent. He was sure Optimus Primal would show up shortly and try to take control of the situation, so he had an idea.
"Waspinator," he said quietly, and the buzzing Predacon looked at his leader.
"Transform, and when I give the signal, fire at Optimus to neutralize him. If we can take care of him, then this alien pod will be in my grasp, yesss." What also worked in Megatron's favor was if the object was programmed to be hostile, then Waspinator would be the one to suffer the consequences of firing off his weapon. Better to send the mindless drone in for the dirty work and observe what happens afterward than to do it himself.
Waspinator nodded and stealthfully terrorized in mid-air, drawing his weapon. He hovered over near a standing stone and hid there, waiting for Megatron's command. The large t-rex also stepped behind a stone, but at a place where he could see the Maximals coming and motion to Waspinator.
Slowing down to a walk with Saber-Fang, the Maximal leader cautiously approached the standing stones. The area appeared to be calm. He gazed upon the pod with wonder and curiosity. Stopping and standing up straight several feet away from the seemingly harmless and floating object, Optimus said,
"Yes. Looks like somebody answered that signal. But who?"
Seeing Optimus, Megatron nodded at Waspinator who received his signal and suddenly flew up just above the height of the probe to put the Maximal leader in his sight. He aimed and fired at the gorilla.
Hearing a shot, Primal looked right in its direction, but it was too late. Before he could strafe or duck, Waspinator's small missile hammered Optimus directly on his chest. With a short exhale of pain when it hit him, it blew the leader off of his feet and he landed on his back. With Optimus unconscious, Saber-Fang was left outnumbered.
After the gunfire, the alien artifact remained quiet. Excellent. Converging on the lonely Maximal, pleased with the outcome to his superior plan with the Maximal Commander down and injured, Megatron stepped out of hiding and approached the saber tooth tiger. Waspinator flew in and landed next to the dinosaur.
"Whatever this fascinating device is, we Predacons claim it as our own! Yesss." the Predacon leader sneered.
"Megatron, terrorize!"
