(( OOC: Sheesh. Okay, perhaps "eagerly" would have been a better word than "quickly". :P Do what you guys want. I'm eager to bring Optimus back but it doesn't have to be a quick battle. I don't plan on bringing him on-line until the Axalon is clear of Maximals inside (except for those in CR's) unless they're unconscious. If any Preds are left inside, they will have to face his wrath before he takes care of the Preds outside, or be left for someone else to clean them up. Mwahahahahahaha!

Oh, Phoenix, Airazor is in a CR in the hangar, not in either of the two that are located near the command center where Aurora and Ironclaw are. Just FYI. ))
"Ahahahaha! Where did you learn to shoot, Mousy? You couldn't hit the broadside of Omega Supreme's backside with aim like that!"
Ignoring Terrosaur's bantering and keeping himself protected from his laser shots, Rattrap did his best to hold his ground with the turret gun system. His back ached from the wound Steelclaw had inflicted on him earlier, and it was growing more difficult to focus with that and the flying lizard's condensending words, not too mention nightfall. ((OOC: Someone mentioned battling during the night, right?)) Nevertheless, this acting Commander wasn't going to give up easily, not after everything he and the rest of the Maximals had already been through. Optimus's death would not be in vain. These slagging Predacons were NOT going to win! This fueled Rattrap's enthusiasm and he concentrated on hitting his opponent.
"Here, let me show you how its done"
Rattrap's optics widened with a gulp in his throat as he witnessed the heavy fire of his lasers beginning to rain down on him. Slapping a button set the turret system to automatic firing so he could flee at the last second before it was too late. The guns continued firing to the best of their ability at Terrosaur before his firepower melted the barrels and the armor caved in on the controls. Having had leaped off prior to the Predacon's barrage, Rattrap landed hard on his hands and feet right next to the rock formation that he had been perched on with the Nomad's turrets. Crouching and leaning his back against the rock, he covered his audio sensors when the barrels backfired and blew up the whole gunning system right above his head. Fire and a large plume of smoke filtered into the air. For the moment, Rattrap remained hidden behind the rock, hoping that Terrorsaur got hit by a shot from the turrets before they exploded, or would assume he killed him and move on to another target, or that someone else would distract him. Anything to give Rattrap time to figure out his next move because otherwise he was a sitting duck and he feared his firepower was inferior to Terrorsaur's. He already used up his two demo charges earlier with Cheetor and didn't restock them before this battle began.

-----
"Still unconscious,"
Rhinox grumbled under his breath. So far nothing was going right, except for Whitegrazer's return and Aurora's repairs. And how were the others holding up outside? No time to check since he had his own mess to deal with. Instead of speaking into his comm. link, he sent the young Fuzor a message: @Aurora: Two Predacons have infiltrated the command center. Either stay where you are and protect Ironclaw, or find another way outside to help someone in the battlefield. He wasn't sure what to do at this point. Maybe she could help him and Whitegrazer if she could sneak up on the two they were dealing with. Maybe she'd make her own decision and it would be the right one. He trusted her. Right now he was short on choices and a plan. Seeing how well this Umbra fellow took care of himself in such an unfamiliar ship, Rhinox deactived Sentinel before it could do anymore harm to Whitegrazer. Things were definitely looking grim...

His machine that Whitegrazer had been using was damaged now from all the gunfire and offline. He had no idea if it had worked; they would have to wait and see. He wasn't going to let on what it was for to anyone, and just hoped no one would give a second glance to the cables and cords running from it and into another room.

The science engineer watched Umbra take his real form while "Dinobot's" appearance dissolved. Quite remarkable, and the ability intrigued Rhinox but he didn't dwell on it under the circumstances.
Well.. I'm not so sure on coordination now.. but you did force me out of my disguise.. So I guess I should stop holding back as my way of honor and respect.
Honor and respect? Who was this Predacon? Another like Onyx and Steelclaw perhaps? He couldn't let his guard down but he did halt his firing and listened to the new Pred.
I'm guessing this isn't a military vessel? Though Dinobot seems like a seasoned vet,Cheetor on the other hand is a little too hotblooded to be out of the Academy..Your defenses are also set on stun.. I dunno.. just too many puzzle pieces aren't fitting yet..But I guess it doesn't matter, I wont get paid until my mission is complete.
Rhinox's red optics simply studied Umbra's observations without commenting as he peeked over the large, round table that was he was using as his cover. Was it that obvious that they weren't soldiers? Well, it was obvious to Rhinox that Umbra had no idea who he was fighting and why. Maybe he didn't care. "That's because we're unlike any other puzzle you'd be familiar with," the rhinoceros commented in a somewhat calm voice. Maybe he could interest his curiosity or distract him with conversation. "If payment is your only motivation to this war, then you will not survive because you lack what we thrive on."
"Oh. My-AHHHHHH!!!" "SHUT UP! PONY!" "UMBRA, GET DOWN!"
Narrowing his optics at Cecaelia, Rhinox lifted the round console that had been his cover and tossed what was left of it at her, resisting the urge to fire his chain gun instead. It would be difficult to dodge it as small as the room was. But she should be thankful because at this point, he felt like smashing both of them into tin cans with his bare hands and tossing them outside as recyclables, much like how Waspinator always ended up. Was it worth it to show a little compassion to these two? Well, he didn't know them, and right now Whitegrazer was in trouble, so he didn't see much choice. Best not to lose who he was in order to defeat them. In any case, now the robust Maximal was exposed, but he kept his aim on Umbra until he reached behind himself and drew his twin chain gun which was now targeting Cecaelia. Two big, powerful guns and one large, angry Maximal. Make my day, he thought.

-----

Meanwhile, in the room not far from the Axalon's bridge, the stasis pod holding the blank protoform quietly whirled to life as it downloaded data from a console it was hooked up to in the command center and received the gift of life it needed in order to proceed.

"Spark acquired," the pod's computer revealed inaudibly to anyone who wasn't in the same room it was as a bright, pulsating spark filtered into the blank protoform from Rhinox's machine. "Calibrating TransMetal interface..." it paused. "Calibration complete. Rendering... Activation code complete. Acquiring DNA code... Confirmed. Processing DNA sequence..."

Whitegrazer searched his right arm for his poisonous blade, finding it undernearth and placed it on her person away from his hands. She saw his form changed into some type of Octopus. His face turned pale and her instincts told her to move, but because of her position, the ink blinded her. She stumbled back, wiping some that got on to her optics. Not the best decision she had made. She felt some tentacles wrapping around her. Her optics were still smeared in black yet she wiped enough to grab at least two tentacles by the tail end on the other side of the suction cups so her hands wouldn't be sticking to them. The feel of the cold, slimy tentacles around her, squeezing her hard as the Predacon used her as a shield for the stun shots made her systems slow down and she lost her grip with one. But she reminded determined to hold the one she had with both of her hands. She had to keep herself awake and quickly get herself out of the mess. If she loses every ounce of strength, she will shut down. She had to figure something out and fast.
Well.. I'm not so sure on coordination now.. but you did force me out of my disguise.. So I guess I should stop holding back as my way of honor and respect.
Despite her losing position, she just smiled, "That wasn't my plan, but good, I at least know who you look like now. Do you have a name?" As she made causal conversation with the Predacon, she began twisting the tentacle with both of her hands like she would a wrist to perform locking manuvears and pulled it towards her an inch at the time.
He smiled once again, going from the surprised look of earlier to eerily calm.
"Really? You know... I know a Predacon crimelord who owes me a favor. She could triple the amount of whatever you are bei-"
"UMBRA, GET DOWN!"
A jet of fire came towards her face. She used the tentacle to cover herself. It was out of reflex, but maybe with Rhinox's chainguns of doom combined with what she was doing, Umbra may let go of her.

(Fun translation time. Yandere= closest to put it would be Insane and affectionate, or mentally ill and affectionate, the closest english version of a character like that would be Nurse Annie from the movie Misery..Japan? School days, nuff said..

also to note, the Maximal center console must be amazingly resistant, it's been shot to heck by Cecaelia's gatling cannon, the maximal base guns, and now thrown by Rhinox.

Now for that bloody energy shield.. )

Umbra raised an optic ridge as he felt and observed Whitegrazer's struggle with his tentacles, though he wasn't really struggling with her at all as he had fairly good control over his body and a understanding of how it functioned.
Whitegrazer wrote:"That wasn't my plan, but good, I at least know who you look like now. Do you have a name?"
Rhinox wrote: "That's because we're unlike any other puzzle you'd be familiar with," "If payment is your only motivation to this war, then you will not survive because you lack what we thrive on."

Umbra smirked as Rhinox responded, he'd answered most of questions without even stating a true answer. The heavy build, the surprise attacks, the use of improvised explosives, stun weapons... This wasn't a millitary vessel at all, it was a exploration ship. And the big green guy infront of him, was an engineer most likely. He then responded You're right, what you thrive on is hope..After all, that's what lights our darkest hour is it not?
Whitegrazer wrote:"Really? You know... I know a Predacon crimelord who owes me a favor. She could triple the amount of whatever you are bei-"
Cecaelia wrote: "UMBRA, GET DOWN!"

He let out a sigh as he pulled Whitegrazer out of the way of Cecaelia's flame blade as it activated, then moved her infront of himself. Lady Cecaelia, I'd advise caution when playing with your new toys.. His right optic twitched at her laugh,he could tell something was off about his current partner..

Turning whitegrazer to face him with her back towards Rhinox, he grabbed her hands prying them off the tentacle she was manipulating as he spoke You know while that feels kinda pleasant.. it's awkward.. he then pulled her arms apart holding them up above her head, while the two free tentacles crawled over her body, smelling for the poison short sword she concealed, creeping into the compartment and drawing it out.

You know how many bots have tried the line that they know a crime lord or banker or so willing to pay more if I switch sides? It's insulting..I'm not merely some murderer or two bit freebooter you know. I have scruples about my contracts, otherwise how else do you get returning clients? Besides.. I already gave you guys the same offer and laid everything out in the open, Dinobot refused on your behalf since he didn't like my methods, the Predacons didn't mind and showed the goods upfront.

He had started to grow tired of current situation, it was a constant switch of hostages, and his own partner was either possibly insane, or not coordinated with her new weapons. He had to finish the mission.

He released Whitegrazer's arms as his tentacles held strongly onto her arms, his left hand moved to his leg as it's compartment opened, pulling out a demo charge, his fingertips tapping the center button a few times.

Personally.. I don't like using hostages.. So, I think I'll arrange something more fair and fitting, for a intellectual like yourself Big guy.. He then squeezed the sides of the device and slapped it onto Whitegrazer's back. He then pushed her towards rhinox, freeing her from his tentacle's grasp.

You have 1 minute 30 seconds before the bomb detonates.. If you try to disable the mag lock before disabling the bomb, it'll go off on the four of us. Good luck, we'll be cheering for you. one of his tentacles pointed towards Tigatron on the ground to remind Rhinox that their friend was still alive though helpless, to atleast prevent the guy from snapping into despair and going postal on all of them..

Umbra then turned towards the somewhat damaged console behind them while the octopus eyes on his legs turned to look at Rhinox, then started going through the menus to turn the ship's shield off. He spoke up Lady Cecaelia.. head into the hall, but be careful of ambushes.. we don't know how many are left on the ship. I'll remain on the bridge. We need to finish both parts of the mission.

He then spoke up towards Rhinox and Whitegrazer Normally I don't do introductions.. but usually my targets don't live this long either... As it's more polite to introduce yourself first,My name is Umbra.

Aerostriker hovered still ready as he looked around, only seeing slight reflections of moonlight from the red details on Nemesis as she came towards him. It was lucky she was a transmetal, as they all seemed to have some chrome details from the paint schemes that he'd seen. Stag spoke up as usual Evade!

As she flew at him, he attempted to evade to the right, but the shots hammered into his chest and left shoulder blowing the armor open as he let out a painful yell while holding his left arm up, the remainder of his body however moved without his consent as Stag attempted a counter.

Just before aiming onto Nemesis, Stag fired his beam in a continuous ray, swinging it across her body almost as if striking her with a flashlight or laser pointer, vectoring Aerostriker's thrusters to swing his body for increased speed of the hit and out of the way of a collision.

At the peak of the swing, the beam shut off, a small fire erupted from Aerostriker's back with smoke spewing from his chest violently Arg! Aerostriker started to fall as Stag spoke up Engine 2 overheated and detonated, engine 3 is offline. Engine 1 and 4 remain for staying aloft. Internal haul compromised, internal power down to 35%. Cutting fuel line 2 and starting fire countermeasures. Further combat is not advised!

After the shockwave from the mine swept over him, Cheetor saw Inferno getting back to his feet and took the chance to get back on his own. He eyed his dangling arm grimly; there went half of his weapon and some of his ability to navigate the terrain. He quickly charged his functioning hand until it turned green, and then he took another shot at Inferno's chest.

Then Cheetor's line of sight on Inferno was blocked off by the mass of flames coming at him, and he was forced to step backwards to avoid being burned. For just one split second, he thought about charging straight through the fire and suddenly appearing on the other side of them to tackle Inferno to the ground. But then what would he do with one weapon and one arm? No, he was outmatched--at least for the moment. So he turned to the side and sprinted until he came to edge of the land above the river; then he jumped straight out into space.

"Beast mode!" he shouted. In his transformation, the shifting gears and gyros tore the last few wires in his left shoulder apart, and his arm fell right off. He caught it reflexively in his half-of-a-mouth, activated his jets and flew straight in the direction he had run from Inferno in. Shifting his detached arm to his two front paws, he contacted Wintersong and Dinobot on his com-link.

"Hey, are you two out of the field yet? Letting the Preds have it with those explosives would really come in handy right about now!"

Dinobot looked up from the river where he had been watching to make sure Waspinator didn't return to shoot him in the back again.

"Not yet, feline!" he answered. Then a number of things happened. He caught sight of Onyx just as the Predacon was aiming his rifle at him. Dinobot ducked quickly behind the cover of some nearby rocks. Just as he was grabbing his assault rifle and coming up with a plan to get back to base so that the Maximals could use the mines they had set up, he saw the explosion of Rattrap's turret gun in his peripheral vision, and he spun his head in time to see the fireball and the smoke coming up from it.

"Report, vermin!" he shouted into his com-link. "You know I have not given you permission to be destroyed by anyone but me!"

And, as he was speaking, he heard a sound like a motorcycle engine coming closer to him. Somehow, it seemed distantly familiar--something he'd heard before, but not in a considerably long space of time. He checked above the rocks he was defending himself behind. Onyx was still there. And coming from a slightly different direction was a transmetal spider with Arachnitron seated atop of it.

He placed the sound. Tarantulas--whose vehicle mode now was much like the one he'd had back when Dinobot was working with him and the other Predacons back on Cybertron.

"Wintersong, Silverstreak, as soon as you have opportunity, fall back from the immediate area and leave it to the Predacons. We've got to let these traps fulfill their role."

Standing up quickly, Dinobot fired a long burst of automatic laser fire in Onyx's direction (he had few illusions about his ability to aim long distance with that kind of weapon, but if the incoming fire could make Onyx hesitate for a moment, then that was all well and good) and ran back a short way towards the base before finding another pillar of rock to conceal himself behind.

* * *

Steelclaw didn't like Megatron's orders. He was gonna do them, but he didn't like them. Where in the world was the weak spot supposed to be on the giant standing in front of him?

Almost subconsciously, Steelclaw took a few paces back before he lifted his minigun and got its barrel spinning. It seemed logical enough to aim for the back of Orcariner's knee joint--as much armor as might have been there, it couldn't all be a solid wall of metal, or Orcariner would have a hard time moving his legs.

The sound of the lasers firing from his barrel quickly drowned the sounds of the rest of the battle out of Steelclaw's audio receptors. He couldn't help but think that one of the last few things he had aimed at with the minigun was the Vok superskull that he'd ended up needing his current target to destroy for him. Well, it was time to see what Orcariner was capable of now.

And, Steelclaw knew, it was time for him to see what he was capable of now.

Lady Cecaelia, I'd advise caution when playing with your new toys..
"Okay..are your tentacles-"

Before Cecaelia could say anything, the console flew towards her, pinning her on the wall. She felt as flat as pancake but still concious. It took her awhile to crawl out in between the console and the wall. Her tentacle rubbed against each other as if they are hands.
You have 1 minute 30 seconds before the bomb detonates.. If you try to disable the mag lock before disabling the bomb, it'll go off on the four of us. Good luck, we'll be cheering for you.
Four? She thought there were five. Unless he is planning to be a daredevil and try to stay and get himself blown up with just three Maximals. NO! It should not be this way!
Lady Cecaelia.. head into the hall, but be careful of ambushes.. we don't know how many are left on the ship. I'll remain on the bridge. We need to finish both parts of the mission.
"B-bb-but partners should stick together! ... Alright.." Cecaelia lifted up her cannon and pointed at the Maximals while slowly heading to the hall just incase they would follow, especially the big green and fat bot. Once she was out of their sight, she ran.

In all fairness Saber is a danger to all, unable to recognize friend from foe. :)

As for Warwulf, I hope he'll be able to post today. Sundays he works 6 am to 6 pm, if he gets out on time that is. I work 3 - 11:30 pm Saturday and Sunday, or at least I'm supposed to. Overtime is essentially the rule in my work place. In fact this weekend was so horrific it was 4 am before I finally walked out those doors last night. Saturday night it was 2 am. Usually it's not that late when I get out, but this weekend was really a trial of patience. Anyways, back to Warwulf. Mondays he works 7 am to 11 pm, but he does work as a paramedic so all depending on the call volume he might be able to post (if he remembered to bring his laptop). If not he is off work tomorrow.)

Hm? The Maximals have Hulk and Superman, the Predacons have Wolverine and Bizzaro. I'm sure they'll be fine. Besides, Saber does have a big weakness that both sides can/tend to exploit.Umbra and Cecaelia are a little busy to do it, but Arachnitron should be able to handle it..Tarantulus too, but that might be "Hard mode" since I think only his beast mode has use of the trick as a transmetal. )

You're right, what you thrive on is hope..After all, that's what lights our darkest hour is it not?
Whitegrazer watched the man's expression as he said that. He doesn't seem to believe in such. Does this Predacon only believe in money? Who was he? She noticed he seemed to get frustrated with what was going on and what she said did seem to help either. Chaos was everywhere. She struggled as her arms raised above her head and she felt something metal against her back,, hearing a click before she was thrown right at Rhinox.
Lady Cecaelia.. head into the hall, but be careful of ambushes.. we don't know how many are left on the ship. I'll remain on the bridge. We need to finish both parts of the mission.
Normally I don't do introductions.. but usually my targets don't live this long either... As it's more polite to introduce yourself first,My name is Umbra.
"Umbra... I heard that name before. Wait." She got up off of Rhinox. Her travels towards Cybertron's dangerous undergrounds where only Predacon criminals or those who wished to get inside the underworld for some misguided reasons of trying to fit in lived. That name was passed amongst some in disgust or admiration.

Whitegrazer stood up and bowed at Umbra, "It's an honor to meet you, Umbra. Pardon me for being brief: I issue a challenge against you. Defeat me under one minute and thirty seconds and I will gladly allow myself to submit to my consequence. If I defeat you, you will take the bomb off me and you and Cecacila will leave our ship immeidately. I only have one condition: Rhinox and Tigatron be able to exit the bridge... away from our fight or harm."

She looked at Rhinox as she waited for Umbra's reply and smiled warmly at him. If Umbra agreed, Rhinox could allow Tigatron to get some medical attention and be given a chance to do what he can.

It's my thanks for getting Optimus back.

If she lost, hopefully, she will have to try and explode in a less vital part of the ship. She will probably make a run for it outside and any other Maximals can handle Umbra and Ceceaila. She had faith in everyone. They would win this battle.

Whitegrazer put her hands together as if she were mediating.

"Your move, Umbra."

Pain increased tenfold with that annoying, slimy voice inside her mind. Ugh.
"Ahhh...Continue your search there"
She spotted a control panel and raised her optic before walking towards it, "So this is where his private records are." She really should thank Dinobot for pointing her to the right direction, but hopefully, that oaf didn't destroy anything important.

Pressing the switch, the control panel unfolded and part of it was just burnt circuitry. Some smoke hit her in the face and she coughed at it, waving her pincher. Typing around, she searched through some encrypted files. Many were intriguing and some even labeled with Predacon names that she didn't know and others she did. But she had to look for those golden disks or anything related to it.

"So much junk and everything is encrypted. Not that I expected it to be easy."
