The Intergalactic Highway

Inferno was going to fast to avoid the missile blasts, just before the missiles hit him he fired off two of his own hopefully they would hit the enemy queen. He was in stasis lock before he hit the ground, making a deep impression in the earth as he landed face first.

Sonar watched the entire thing with a small smirk, but he had a job to do, he'd rather not get an ear full from the second in command. He simply angeled his wings and went to into a free fall heading staright for Dinobot, he knew that he didn't stand much of a chance again the raptor, but the element of surprise was his. When he was within 30 feet of the raptor he transformed into his robot form and let out a sonic blast, having done that, he landed on his feet then took out his assault rifle and fired at Cheetor with a smirk on his face.

Whitegrazer transformed and quietly moved to her position, spotting Scorponok but she too didn't see that bee yet something made her uneasy. Still, she had be uneasy ever since the mission started. She closed her eyes and tried to let the uneasiness step aside as her mind got back to what she had to do.

His missiles are going to be the pit to dodge but if I could distract him...as Frilla could get close to Steelclaw.

Keeping herself behind the rock, she moved to face Rattrap and tried to get his attention, " Rattrap! I will take care of Scorponok. Just keep distracting Steelclaw." Maybe Frilla could handle him. Whitegrazer had faith in her.

There was too much noises that she wasn't confident that Rattrap heard her so she tried using her hands to motion that Scorponok will be her target while telling them to keep their eyes open.

Whitegrazer went back to her original spot. Her hand twitched towards her pistol and grabbed it firmly, "Defense only."

To scare Scorponok, she stood up to fire below his feet and kept firing, leaving herself open for any attack from both of the Predacons. Her feet were ready to move if missiles come her direction. She wondered if he was still afraid of her?

With a groan, the damaged maximal pushed herself off the ground and sat up. She wasn't feeling much better, but well enough to move. While sitting on her legs, she tested her joints to be sure everything was still in working order. Looking down at her hands, she rolled her wrist's in a full circle. They hadn't hurt too much, at least, not nearly as bad as her chest which felt as if a large boulder was pressing down upon it.

A loud crash in the distance caught her attention. Smoke billowed from what looked to be a hunk of red metal. There was no question about it, Inferno had crashed down near her. This brought a slight smile to her face. While it was unlikely that her shot had taken him down, someone else had at least done so. The Maximal's were likely winning the battle, although she hadn't contributed much to that. She was still unfamiliar with the other predicon's techniques and had been taken by surprise one too many times in that fight. In the future, she would be more prepared, but for now, she would have to learn the hard way.

Activating her comm, she decided to try and get in contact with the rest of her team. Besides the fliers, it was unlikely any of the ground team knew that she was injured. If she could contact Icebreaker, he would be able to her get back in shape. "This is Airazor, I have crash landed and am in need of --- Slag!" She spoke, suddenly realizing that her comm was dead. Her spark sunk at the realization of her situation. "Great. Hurt, lost in the woods, and stuck with a pyromaniac bug. This just isn't my day." She said to herself. It seemed as though she had only one option left, although it definitely was not her first choice. If Inferno was still online, he would likely try and take full advantage of her precarious position.

"Beast Mode"

As Glowstick descended from the air, he swung his sword to try to take out some of the firepower flying at him, the extension on the blade retracted as he went futher down, the stray shots of Primal and Feralnight striking a few points of his body causing a gash to open in his leg, one of his tentacles to break off, and a strike to the side of his head causing part of the side of his head to break off, his left optic cracked turning black.

While distracted once again, this time by Inferno, Glowstick came down from right above Primal, he swung his sword putting his weight into the blow, though his accuracy was off, originally aiming for Primal's head, his blade slammed down into his shoulder joint between his arm and missile launcher with all his might, the blade surging as a spray of molten metal slag came from the impact area, random bolts of energy seemed to spray from the weapon hitting random points of the ground causing small explosions of dust and debris for a moment, then suddenly all of it's effects stopped as a female computer's voice was heard Energon low! Seal engaged!

Glowstick suddenly fell backwards onto the ground, it'd been awhile since he'd physically touched the ground, his energy levels were simply too low to continue sustained hovering.Smoke was seen pouring from cracks in his body, oil and energon dripping from his side, with a blue glowing fluid dripping from the broken tubes on the left side of his face, he looked like the walking dead, and smelled like grilled squid. His left feeder tentacle unwrapped from his sword, the sound of crunchy peeling flesh followed. He attempted to lean up looking towards Optimus for a moment Still not enough.. he said in a vague manner with a heavily synthetic voice, then coughed which would be assumed either ink or oil from the beak on his chest before collapsing into stasis lock.

(Radar and communications now work again.Ironic how useful those jamming abilities of Glowstick's were to Clear Convoy, and the utter chaos of the battle. )

Icebreaker nodded with the assumption, though he'd never seen the squid use this method before, possibly some form of brute force jamming?

Icebreaker had some concern as Optimus was seeming to show signs of his condition again, but he doubted even that would stop him. If there was one thing Optimus Primal had in common with the icebird, it was a near unbreakable determination. He followed after Optimus, drawing his frost launcher and ejecting a magazine from it, then put it away and pulled a different one out of storage to load into his gun.

Megatron was thrown onto his back by the initial blow, he gave a frown A bit more reckless then unusual,traitor! he was then surprised as Dinobot was suddenly hit by Sonar's sonic blast, knocking the two away from each other. Megatron shaked his head as he started to get up Sonar! Watch it! he barked.

Tarantulus glanced towards Starshadow and Cecaelia with narrowed eyes of his spider mode, while he enjoyed watching the two girls scrap earlier, he didn't like the premise of ambush with the two. But knowing of their abilities, he would be able to make use of the two. Hrm.. I'm not usually one to share, but.. very well. I do have some ideas.. This clearly isn't all the Maximals coming, that was just their vanguard. The slow and heavy units must be on their way soon. So we will hide and at the chance.. strike. Starshadow, you can attempt to distract them with your firepower or charms.. and you er.. Cephalopod girl, transform and move toward's those rocks there and use that camo ability to blend in with them. When the enemy has their back's turned to us, we'll strike with our venom and bring them down in number's quickly. Once the fight is over, then the real fun begins.. he then let out a evil laugh.

Rhinox watched as Orcariner seemed to plot up a battle strategy, he smirked a little. The Maximals were lucky to have those of his calibur, as well as Whitegrazer and Icebreaker, though the later of which still needed more time to deal with his reckless nature.

Cheetor reeled back from Blackarachnia's kick. Before he had a chance to retaliate, Steelclaw's lasers slammed into him. He tried standing against it- maybe if he moved, he could put Blackarachnia between him and the laser's path. But he soon found he couldn't think to do anything but shield his face as he stumbled further and further back.

He just barely noticed Sonar aiming his own weapon at him, but that glimpse was enough to convince him to fall over and let the Predacons pick a new target.

Steelclaw let his weapon spin to a halt and he looked for any other targets who needed his attention.

He suddenly cried out in pain as Rattrap's shot hit its mark. He looked into the woods and noticed the boulder the Maximal was hiding behind. It would be impossible to get the rat while he was there.

Steelclaw was racking his processor over whether or not to pursue Rattrap or to retreat and make him come out of hiding, when Whitegrazer's shots started raining in from the side. They were being flanked, probably more than just two Maximals. Suddenly, his decision was made.

"Scorponok," he shouted over the noise of battle, "let's castle. I can't take out that boulder," he said, pointing to Rattrap's cover, "but your missiles can. Leave Whitegrazer to me," he said, spinning the barrels on his mini-gun again. A moment later, he turned to face the tall Maximal and unleashed the full force of his weapon on her.

Even then, he kept his processor on the alert for any other attackers. That's when he noticed Glowstick falling over close to Optimus Primal. For the moment, it would be better to let that fact go. He couldn't ignore Whitegrazer, and, anyways, Optimus was the type of warrior to pick a new adversary. Glowstick was, theoretically, safe for now.

Dinobot hardly registered Megatron's remark, and he was in no mood to exchange banter with the tyrant. After being forced away by Sonar's sonic attack, Dinobot stabilized himself and immediately resumed his assault, this timing swinging for his opponent's middle with his sword.

Nodding, Scorponok swerved around. Suddenly, without warning his interface started to blink and everything became clear once again. Glowstick must have stopped jamming all radar and communications. Grinning, the lieutenant once more activated his thermal sights and saw the hiding Maximal behind the bolder. Optics darting to the right, he also noticed Frilla's making a push up their ranks. It was not very often that Scorponok would be given the opportunity to enter a battle of this magnitude with this much preparation. The last time this happened, he was taken out by some foreign creation and his weapons were a wasted opportunity. The scorpion had feared this fight would be a repetition due to the fact that he was unable to use his targeting systems. Now that Glowstick was out for the count, Scorponok had might as well relish this moment while it lasted.

Multi-targeting sequence initiated.

Four lock on reticules popped up on his visor. Two immediately dashed in Rattrap's direction while the other two split off to target Frilla. His obsidian arms raised in both directions, Scorponok locked one missile onto Rattrap while the other was locked onto the boulder that was guarding him. Meanwhile, the third and fourth locks were fastened onto Frilla's diminutive form.

Missile lock achieved.

The first mega missile fired immediately upon the red alert, detonating the boulder with a terrific shattering effect. The second one was released a second after, hoping to penetrate the soaring rubble and find the rodent. Upon firing the second warhead, Scorponok swiftly jettisoned only one missile in Frilla's direction. Knowing that the projectile will continue to pursue her even should she somehow avoid it, he wanted to conserve the fourth missile for any unexpected event. The reload process was not terribly long, but some have taken advantage of it before. One notable individual was the white Maximal that Steelclaw was engaging at the moment. Scorponok had once underestimated her speed and suffered the consequences for his lack of judgement. Hence, it was now a safe idea to keep on on stand by.

With the radio operational again, Scorponok accessed the bee drone that was circling above himself and his Predacon partner. It had not been shot down yet, so it continued to serve as a third eye for the 1st Lieutenant. He knew that he was being more conservative than usual, having to reserve a fourth missile while reloading and simultaneously using a drone as a sentry. Still, this was one fight he had no intention of losing.

"Hang on!"

Arriving at the battlefield, Orcariner bellowed as he transformed into his towering robot form. The two shells that formed on his back helped lift Wintersong onto his shoulders, while at the same time protecting her from any rear attacks. Cocking his neck from side to side, the Maximal stood up to his full height and surveyed the field. Chaos was everywhere. Soldiers from both sides were succumbing to their wounds, but Orcariner could not go out of his way to help them at this time. There was work to be done.

"Here," he said to Wintersong, handing her his gun.

Orcariner realized that he may have overestimated the proportions. The carbine was actually bigger than her. Wintersong was strong, though, and despite her modesty he was sure that she could handle the weapon. Trying not to make it sound like she was a child, he offered some advice.

"Feel free to set each or your legs around my neck to ensure stability. Wield the gun however you may as well as your own weapons. I'm not questioning your balance, but I'm going to keep the shells on my back pretty close so that you don't accidentally fall off. Think of them as the back of a chair. I'll be trying to find the exact spot where the transwarp signature is being emitted. Just try and keep the Preds off me in the meantime."

Turning his attention back towards the field, Orcariner brought up the same map on screen that the Axalon had displayed during the briefing. They were all at the coordinates, but there was no ship. There was not even an portable, if the term even applied, device in sight. All he was were rocks, grass, and combating transformers. The map indicated otherwise, saying that the signature was further south from where they were standing. Sighing, Orcariner began to charge straight into the battlefield. Wintersong was shielded by his body and even the gun was armored well enough to protect her. Still, he feared for her well-being. Tank drivers were almost always safe. Gunners, on the other hand, did not share this same security.

(*LOL* The Gun IS bigger then her. If she didn't have gigantic Felicia like hands, I don't think she'd be able to hold onto it and will probably have to use one hand just to squeeze the trigger. As they arrived all Wintersong saw was battling bots and it seemed the Maximals were wining, for now. Though looking didn't last long as Orcanier started to transform."Wintersong maximize!" With a growl the tigeress transformed and shortly after but generally startled how big the gun really was. Times like this she was actually grateful for slightly big hands,"I'll make do with what I can you worry about that transwarp signature." She replied as she kneeled on one knee, using one hand to support he gun while the other was on the trigger.

This wasn't going to be an easy task but Wintersong knew she'd just have to do what she could. "Let's get to that source before he press Orcanier, I got your back." She assured the orca and went to focusing on the battle field.

(Judging by Orcanier's size it would be larger then Wintersong but hey big hands are helpful this time. )

Starshadow smirked at the idea. "Oh I like the way you think~" she said as Cecaelia sighed and transformed to her beast mode.

After the femmes found a suitable area for an ambush, Cecaelia crawled to a boulder, camoflaging herself. Starshadow scanned the first Maximal she would like to take on. The first target she found was Icebreaker. "Hmm..." the panther then ran outside of her hiding spot to catch up with the penguin.

Or look up the clone trooper "Heavy" from the cartoon. It might overheat, but not for a while.))

Heavy!

Yeah, Steelclaw's gun is similar to Heavy's, except that Steelclaw's gun's barrels have a slightly larger diameter.

As for overheating, it would have to happen eventually. Not even Steelclaw knows how to make a perpetually firing weapon. That being said, I've been thinking it could go on for a number of minutes, so it wouldn't exactly happen soon.))

Saber wanted to disagree with Optimus, but she stopped herself, she knew that she was already in deep trouble with the Maximal leader, she didn't want to antagonize him further, she went to follow him when he suddenly stopped as if he were in severe pain, she narrowed her eyes when she heard him give a small gasp of pain. He leaned against a tree, he was in no shape to fight.

"Come on!"

She sighed quietly, making a mental note to keep an eye on him for any more signs of pain, she transformed into her robot form and readied her assault rifle.

Sonar! Watch it!

Sonar turned at the sound of Megatron's voice, he hadn't seen Megatron as he fired his sonic blaster.

"My apologizes, my lord." He said, before turning back to his target.

His target seemed to have past out, he simply smirked.

Seems the cub has run out of steam, shame. He thought.

He took to the air again so he could get a better view of the battle field. He spotted three Maximals heading thier way and one of them was Saber.

"Only a fool seeks his own distruction. But then again, Saber is that fool." He said quietly through narrowed optics.

Frilla began to move in but before she was completely from the bushes she noticed Scorponok aiming his missiles and was shocked for a moment. Though quickly shaking it off she started charging towards the missiles then quickly moved to the side of it, knowing it may follow her until it hit. Running towards Scorponok and Steelclaw she drew her gun ready and glared at the two, "If you plan to blow be away Scorponok you two are coming with me!" She growled and when near enough started to fire the acid pellets at random towards the two. Though Frilla was hoping the missile would follow and blow on all three.
