Hi from the UK!

Unread post by Simon Plumbe »

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd say hi! Had an email yesterday from Sapphire and I thought I'd pop over, say hi and sign up! I'm Simon Plumbe from the UK convention Auto Assembly. (Actually, I joined the old forum and missed this one so I signed up again!)

I'm a big BW fan (it's what got me into Transformers in the first place) and we've actually got David Kaye joining us later this year so I'm pretty pumped up about meeting him as you can imagine!

Anyway, I'll be on here a fair bit (or as much as I can!) so I'll talk to you soon!

Hey there! What a nice surprise to see you here! Welcome to BWInt. :) I'm sure everyone here will make you feel very welcome. I didn't know you were a member at the old board (mind you, there were well over 100 members there, lol). Anyway, it's great that you've joined. I've just purchased my ticket for Auto Assembly, so I guess I'll be seeing you in person come June. :D

I only joined the old board yesterday so it's no wonder you didn't notice me!!

Yeah, I spotted your online booking a few minutes ago... looking forward to meeting you in June! David's really looking forward to coming over and it's going to be a real blast having him joining us although it's going to be a bit weird as well. It still hasn't sunk in really that we've got him coming over - in a way I'm still partly in shock after we managed to get an interview with him last year and then after the emails I've been getting the last few weeks I'm amazed I haven't lost it completely!!

We're going to give the whole event a big Beast Wars flavour to it though - most of the videos will be Beast Wars, obviously David is our guest of honour, IDW are doing a new Beast Wars comic so we may have something to do with that, we're having our toy display themed on BW (Megatron, naturally!) and even one of the convention exclusive postcards that we're producing is having Megatron on it!

Okay, it may be a bit obsessive but why not?!! We did the same the last two years with RiD when we had cast members turn up so why not do the same for David?! :P

We should be working with a few other BW cast members and people for the charity auction as well but my lips are sealed on that one for now...! All I'm hinting at is that Ian Corlett is hopefully sending a signed photo and for the last two years we've had signed scripts from Bob Forward!!

Anyway, think I'd better shut up! See you in June!

Greetings and welcome to the... wait what? UK Convention Auto Assembly? Wow. You probably meet all kinds of people then do you?

Sorry, I am Wicked Woman... WW for short. I am the Poll Manager for BWINT and I'm happy to meet you. If you have a suggestion for a poll, feel free to e-mail me about it.

Anyways, welcome to the site. You should feel right at home since we have media sounds of David Kaye as Megatron. (I'm guessing that he's you fav character)

Have fun and don't worry, we don't bite.

Glad you could drive by, SP! Hope the directions weren't too hard to follow. ;)

Greetings, Simon! A pleasure to meet you. ^.^

David's a really cool guy. I've only met him once at 2003's OTFCC, but I had a blast. However, I didn't get to hang out with him as much as I did Garry and Gregg. Ah well. I know you'll have fun! 8)

Hi and welcome to BWI! As you can tell we don't bite newcomers and we have cake. *checks and finds only crumbs left on the plate* Or what's left of it anyway. :)
