"Oh Optimus,"
Zodiac's voice sounded distorted at first as Primal's systems rebooted and started registering his surroundings again. His entire body felt numb but as the aftermath of the electrocution subsided, he started feeling the deep stings of the lacerations across his chest whose blood dribbled downward to his abs and also rolled off his sides. Optimus coughed as he began recollecting what had transpired moments ago before he blacked out and coping with the pain and the electrical shock. This wasn't exactly how he predicted this would go but he still had a mission and he was still very eager to succeed. His body began to cool down from the immediate heat that the bolts had caused, and the sweltering smoke stopped seeping off of his TransMetal frame while he welcomed the blustery air. At least it seemed he had accomplished taking the hit for the Empath to spare her the pain. On the other hand, this stunt could have cost them the mission. He was running out of time.
"You struggled valiantly but in the end it was all for nothing. For you see.."
As his vision slowly came into focus, the gorilla heard a loud smack of metal to metal when Zodiac's arm slammed into Whitegrazer to knock her out of his way. Optimus released a light gasp in retaliation as he witnessed this abuse happen to someone he cared deeply for but could do nothing to go to her aid. Then he felt a hard, deliberate and sharp kick to his abdomen that made him roll and land on his back again. He coughed more trying to catch his breath from the kick that nearly out-winded him and curled up a little bit into a fetal position as if it would help reduce the pain. It didn't. There was lingering nagging throbbing and pounding. He turned his head toward the pretender's devious voice, seeing him somewhat twitch. He didn't know why; perhaps it was from his nanotech frantically repairing his abdomen where Primal had shot him repeatedly. Maybe it had something to do with Whitegrazer. His gaze slowly drifted to the white mare again and to Landslide.
"You lose."
Still weakened as his systems gradually recovered, Optimus felt Zodiac grab his chin and abruptly force him to look into his revengeful, angry and mysterious optics. He glared back up at him having his own anger toward the way he was treating Whitegrazer while his mind replayed those same words he had heard from Megatron before he was about to die: "The Beast Wars are over, Optimus! You lose. You lose. You LOSE. YOU LOSE!" they echoed with emphasis. Fear and desperation from that moment revisited him and he grew frantic. He couldn't escape that outcome, so how was he going to escape this one? Was this the end? Zodiac snapped him out of this terror when he twisted his head to the side to see Whitegrazer. He growled in retaliation and anguish, licking the scar on his lips, but grew somber upon observing Whitegrazer. He had no idea what she was going through but he imagined that it was awful and unbearable because of Zodiac. While she was blaming herself for bringing him, he was blaming himself for bringing her and for his involvement in creating the monster that haunted them now and wanted to end all of their lives. But he couldn't focus on that right now. He had a job to do and he would do it while the other Maximals remained diligent and engaged the Predacons.
"I wouldn't count on her to save you this time," "As she is about to join you in the smelting pits!"
"It's not over yet, Zodiac," Primal told him coldly, unappreciative of his enemy's cruel words and callousness. Slowly, so as not to draw any attention to it while it was out of Zodiac's sight, he moved his right hand to his subspace and retrieved the syringe. He kept it hidden in his hand beside his hip where his gun was normally attached to when he noticed the Predacon fliers invade their battle from above. He still didn't see Megatron from his position laying on his back in the snow, and didn't know if the Predacon tyrant even bothered to show up to the party, but the three stooges overhead were a good distraction for his plan that would hopefully end this madness.
"FOR THE GLORY OF THE ROYALTY!!! DDDDDIIIIIIVVVVVVVE!"
"Yeah yeah, for the Royalty, just shut up and shoot! Eheheheheheheh!"
Optimus tried to keep his body shielded by using Zodiac's size towering over him as he crouched beside the ape in order to avoid getting hit by Inferno's and Terrorsaur's fire power which sprayed all around them, snow and the rocky dirt underneath it being blown into the air from their powerful shots. He flinched a little as he could feel the heat from a couple of them that hit nearby where the new Predacon had already trampled through in his vehicle mode, but fortunately none of them impacted him. In an attempt to use their distraction to his advantage, Primal lifted his right arm and tried thrusting his hand gripping the needle into Zodiac's side under his arm...

-----
"So that is the little gizmo that was being plaguing both sides, huh?
Rattrap heard the widow but didn't respond as he kept his focus on the other two Predheads.
"You sound nervous, Maximal,"
"Trust me, it ain't 'cause of you. The only thing I'm nervous about is dose aliens comin' back and pickin' another fight," the rodent said while he kept his gun targeted on Nemesis. "We'd hate to have ta save your sorry skidplates again."
"Lest you forget that you would be trapped in here as well, rodent,"
"So what? I'm a rat. I don't get claustrophobic, and I'm a great digger, so I'd be outta here in no time. But you certainly sound a bit more nervous about it," he mocked her. Ugh, how he loathed these Predacons and their egos and attitudes.

It was then when Rattrap reached out to try and grab Blackarachnia who suddenly sprinted off toward the machine, but she slipped away out of his reach. Either she was trying to shut off the beam or she was trying to confiscate the Vok's weapon's power. "What're ya doin'?! Get back here! The best thing ta do is blow this place ta smithereens!" he called after her.

-----
"Do you think the others are all right?,"
"Yes, I do," Rhinox told Aurora without any hesitation, hoping to put her mind at ease about them. "Hurry along now and give me a damage report. I'll do my best to reach them," he added as he glanced over his shoulder at her before returning to his work. He rebooted and re-calibrated their communication system and tried again.

"Rattrap, Whitegrazer, Landslide, do any of you copy? Can you read me?" the engineer sent over the Axalon's long-range transmission. He made some more adjustments when all he received was static and then tried again. "Rattrap, Whitegrazer, Landslide? This is Rhinox. Do you copy?"
"Well, that's just prime!"

Zodiac was still assaulting Optimus only a short distance down the cliff side. He was within reach! Even though there were Predacons joining the fray, he cared not for their involvement. Ironclaw began to sprint down the cliff at full speed towards Zodiac. Nothing stood between him and his prize, this could be the moment when he finally brought that criminal down. As the badger neared he felt the quakes return and gradually increase in intensity. Was the alien machine still operational? Getting slightly distracted by his pondering, he was not prepared when a huge drilling machine emerged from the mountain. Was that a Predacon? Ironclaw's optics kept switching from the Predacon to and Zodiac until a weapon deployed on the drill and took a shot. It hit the transmetal badger square in the chest and sent him off the cliff face and down to the line below.

Ironclaw crashed into the hard ground, kicking up dust and dirt. Pulling his head out of the ground, he let out a groan. This may take a lot longer than he had first imagined. Who knows what Optimus was attempting to do. A futile struggle with Zodiac, backed by that idealistic mare, she would do more harm than good in the long run. The badger was unsure if tagging additional targets, given the circumstances would be against protocol.

"Damage report" the badger requested of his internal system. After a second of assessing it responded with its neutral sounding voice.

"Weapons offline" Ironclaw rolled his optics at such an inconvenience. He screwed up his face, desperately trying to activate the cannon on his arm. Ironclaw shook his arm with frustration until he gave up, he'd have to get in close. Defeat his opponent skill and steel and there was always his secret weapon.

Erratic noises put the badger on alert, the Predacon was coming after him. The element of surprise could be reversed. Ironclaw slipped into the foliage for cover.

Nemesis wrote:"Let's go," "Megatron is holding back, watching the fight."

Umbra gave a nod towards Nemesis, then stopped as he heard Rattrap.
Rattrap wrote:"Hey! Hold it right there! You know what yer doin', Tentacles?" "You better be tryin' ta blow dis thing up or blow yerself up, pal, 'cause I ain't in the mood for any more earthquakes or eruptin' volcanoes."

Umbra let out a sigh, then heard Nemesis speak up.
Rattrap wrote: "You guys wanna tell us what's goin' on 'ere, or are we gonna have ta prematurely detonate dose explosives yer deckin' the halls with?"

Nemesis wrote:"You sound nervous, Maximal,"
Rattrap wrote:"Trust me, it ain't 'cause of you. The only thing I'm nervous about is dose aliens comin' back and pickin' another fight," the rodent said while he kept his gun targeted on Nemesis. "We'd hate to have ta save your sorry skidplates again."

Nemesis wrote:"Lest you forget that you would be trapped in here as well, rodent, "

Umbra simply waited for their conversation to end, observing the timers on the eight bombs as they spoke. At 40 seconds, Umbra turned looking towards Blackarachnia with a slight smirk, then looked towards Rattrap While it's been fascinating listening to this banter, we're simply out of time.. Umbra activated his thrusters launching straight up into the air, then opened his tentacles out, circling in the cavern in a corkscrew climbing maneuver as he made his way up and out of the volcano.

Landslide's optics widen as Optimus stepped in the path of his lightning blast. His movements clearly intentional. What the heck is he doing?! Landslide thought to himself.
Whitegrazer wrote:"Landslide! Help Ironclaw!"

Landslide looked towards Whitegrazer, then looked towards the large drill tank that had rolled by towards Ironclaw. Though he doubted Ironclaw really needed the help, after all. He did take down Dirge, something the giant beetle couldn't accomplish. Landslide then looked back towards Whitegrazer, who's own combat record that he had seen so far had involved using herself as a living shield, but without the shield part.

Landslide looked up as the then heard the Predacons flying in. Slaggin'.. he muttered to himself.
Inferno wrote:"FOR THE GLORY OF THE ROYALTY!!! DDDDDIIIIIIVVVVVVVE!"

Terrorsaur wrote:"Yeah yeah, for the Royalty, just shut up and shoot! Eheheheheheheh!"

Waspinator followed the other two, in his robot mode he started opening fire onto Landslide with his Toxic stinger's cybervenom shots, though the shots just seemed to bounce off without phasing him.

Landslide turned his body and opened his wing shell, blocking the incoming missiles from hitting his thrusters. Since his Anti-air guns were broken, he didn't have the means to shoot the missiles down like he did before. With this many enemies.. He couldn't hold back.
Rhinox wrote:"Rattrap, Whitegrazer, Landslide, do any of you copy? Can you read me?" "Rattrap, Whitegrazer, Landslide? This is Rhinox. Do you copy?"

Landslide's wing shield closed with multiple burnmarks seen on it, he then turned pulling the shield off his back with his left arm and took to the air. This is Landslide. I copy, but not a great time. What's yer situation? Landslide pointed his right arm towards Waspinator, who attempted to start to dodge as he remembered Landslide's attack from before. A bolt of lightning fired from his electro laser in his arm, striking Waspinator in the wing as he let out a scream, falling out of the air, he blacked out.

Landslide's weapon then retracted in his arm, he raised his shield and started to fly towards Inferno. Hey DRONE! The royalty can suck exhaust! he taunted, hoping the ant was as stupid as he sounded.

(ooc: Making a brief addition now since I won't be able to tomorrow due to work.)
"It's not over yet, Zodiac,"
Zodiac tilted his head a bit as his lips curled into something of a bewildering smile. Oh the cockiness.. Even now. Well.. He would simply have to show him.

"It is for you," the shapeshifter corrected him, squeezing the chin a tad more tightly before slamming Primal's head back down to the ground, resulting in snow whirling up all from the impact. Somewhere above them he could hear the unmistakable sound of engines coming closer. This was, of course, followed by a steady stream of gunfire that rained down upon them from above.
"FOR THE GLORY OF THE ROYALTY!!! DDDDDIIIIIIVVVVVVVE!"
"Yeah yeah, for the Royalty, just shut up and shoot! Eheheheheheheh!"

Those Predacon fools! This was his victory, not theirs! How dare they try to take it away from him?! Primal was not going to die by anyone else's hands but his own!

As his smile quickly faded, his wings spread out to cover himself and Optimus to shield them from the unexpected onslaught. Shots peppered down on them, most hitting the piles of snow surrounding them but a few embedded themselves into the dragon's wings. Albeit none of the shots penetrated all the way through the transmetal plating, they still left several smoldering wounds. Groaning from the pain, his hands balling into fists as he endured the numerous blasts against his armor, the pretender's nanomachines immediately got to work with repairing the damage done and reinforcing the wings to protect against further injuries.

Fortunately the attack was short lived as the Predacon flyers moved on to another target. Zodiac's optics drifted from the retreating Predacons back to Optimus, only to catch an abrupt movement through the corner of his eye. The shapeshifter swiftly grabbed for the incoming arm, wrapping his fingers around his foe's wrist and halting the movement. But in his opponent's hand, where he was expecting to see a weapon of some sort, was what appeared to be a syringe.. Not unlike the ones they had been giving him earlier to sedate him. Really? That was Optimus' brilliant plan? Well The shapeshifter's couldn't hold back the amusement in his voice as he spoke.

"Foolish Maximal! Do you really think you can sedate me again? By now my system has grown immune to it. "

He then proceeded to smack the arm away to send the useless contraption flying.
"Trust me, it ain't 'cause of you. The only thing I'm nervous about is dose aliens comin' back and pickin' another fight," the rodent said while he kept his gun targeted on Nemesis. "We'd hate to have ta save your sorry skidplates again."
Nemesis feigned a yawn as the annoying little rodent persisted with his nonsense. Well, if he was too stupid to realize this place would be his tomb then so be it. In fact there was really no point in attempting to reason with them given the fact Megatron had given the order to kill any resistance.

"Have it your way. I prefer my rodents deep fried anyway," she replied with the slightest trail of amusement in her voice. Behind her Umbra was taking off again.
While it's been fascinating listening to this banter, we're simply out of time..
A smirk exposed her growing amusement as she glanced from Umbra to BlackArachnia before finally settling on the trigger happy rodent again. His weapon was still pointed at her, not that she felt overly threatened by it. He did have a point, however, and this place wasn't exactly somewhere she'd like to remain for much longer. It was hot, cramped, and more importantly.. it was about to explode. Still, Nemesis waited for another moment, long enough for Umbra to be at a relatively safe distance. Then she took to the air as well, swiftly ascending until she reached a point near the hole by the crater. There she abruptly stopped and looked down at the rodent and the traitor spider below. "Dinner is just about served," she called down to the rodent, her hand grabbing her firearm as she spoke the words.

She took aim at one of the explosives and fired, well knowing that when one of them went off, the others would trigger as well. And with any luck the spider and the rodent would get caught in the inferno that would follow..
"Yes, I do," "Hurry along now and give me a damage report. I'll do my best to reach them,"
Aurora nodded, attempting to keep her spirits up. Truthfully that wouldn't happen until they had proof the mission had been a success though.

She hurried outside as he had requested, immediately getting to work on surveying the damage done to the ship and to the surrounding area.

((OOC: Whitegrazer's response for the moment. Blackarachnia's will be coming soon.))

For a moment, looking at Zodiac, the expression on his face, wondering if he is starting to get it now. Some part of her felt like he was, but the moment was gone as soon as it left the shapeshifter.
Phoenix wrote:Where it came from doesn't matter, he argued with her internally. As for the nanomachines.. well..
Watched as his optics narrowed at her, focusing on the nanomachines inside her body. Every instinct in her body alerted her to do something. Anything. The nanomachines stopped swimming around her spark. Stopped tending to her wounds. They scattered around different sections of her body. Then they all simultaneously started tearing and ripping her from the inside out. Her eyes widened. Arms wrapped around her torso area. Her knees buckled. Yet, she tried to remain standing. Flinching. Twitching.
Phoenix wrote:They know who their master is.
That arrogant smirk returned to his features.

His arm swiped across her face. Body riddled in pain, so her reaction to his hit did what he wanted to do. It knocked her off her feet. Twisted and plopped down on the snow face first writhing in pain and agony. The nanomachines continued to torture and mangle her from the inside out.
Phoenix wrote:"Oh Optimus," the pretender told him, almost sounding a bit disappointed as he crouched down next to his foe, "You struggled valiantly but in the end it was all for nothing. For you see.."
Phoenix wrote:"You lose."
Phoenix wrote:"I wouldn't count on her to save you this time," the shapeshifter continued darkly, "As she is about to join you in the smelting pits!"
Took deep breaths.

The pain...

Pathetic, Whitegrazer. I expected more from you. Why so reluctant? Why so fearful of even using one ounce of it? Do you really feel so bad that you want to get hurt? That you want to feel this... this agony all the time. Why don't you take your own advice and just let go? Just let it go. I really want to see you let it go. Come on Whitegrazer! Focus.

She was in the green meadow. TyCross was standing in front of her. Focus! He smacked her like Zodiac did moments before. The image of her laying on the table again. Images of Optimus tied down by power bonds. Being squeezed. Being beaten up by Megatron ran across her vision. The image of Aurora being shot. Aurora laying on the ground in front of her. The little one's mech fluid staining her optics. Puddles of mech blood staining her knees. Except it wasn't Aurora's. Bodies writhed in pain and agony laid around her. Focus! The High Council condemning her. Her hands clenched into fists. The sight of Optimus' chest slashed and ripped because of Zodiac's attack.

She got up from the cold, snowy ground.
DarkSpark wrote:"FOR THE GLORY OF THE ROYALTY!!! DDDDDIIIIIIVVVVVVVE!"
DarkSpark wrote:"Yeah yeah, for the Royalty, just shut up and shoot! Eheheheheheheh!"

Took a deep breath. Her hand reached out towards Terrorsaur and Inferno. Focus. Yes, she felt them. Their presence clearly. There was a time she could smash body parts, but no, no, not the same. Didn't want to do that, and yet she wanted to do something. To relieve the pain in her soul. Not the physical pain of herself, but the others. But wait, she felt something. Deeper. Deeper. Amusement. Glee. Megatron's face as he pointed a weapon at them. Her optics stared out towards the Megatron's optic. Towards the weapon's sight. He wasn't going to hurt anyone else today. Certainly, not Optimus. As Megatron's stares into his weapon, she quivers. Her optics tremble. The nanomachines stopped. And the sight of Megatron's weapon into her own. she stares at him for a moment. She wonders if he was staring back at her. Hoped so because he had a lot to answer for.

Her hand balled. Megatron's cover blown into an explosion of ice and snow, ruining his cover as well as his aim.

Stared back at Terrosaur. Stared back at Inferno. Her optics focused on them. Burning at them. The missiles heading towards them. As they gleefully shot at Optimus and Zodiac, Zodiac was shielding Optimus from the firing, not wanting his victory taken from him, she saw Landslide making his way towards them. Missiles heading his direction. All those missiles exploded without touching him. Because she made them explode.

"You are wrong, Zodiac," she stares at the shapeshifter. "You lose."

Just as he used his nanomachines to hurt her, she concentrated. Ah! Her hand reaches out. The nanomachines... They didn't recognize her as their master. Yet, they couldn't refuse her. They belonged to her first. They were snatched away from her. The nanomachines inside her body stopped tearing her apart, but the nanomachines inside Zodiac... They stopped. She focused harder. The nanomachines gripped him. To stand and face her. To look at her. It wasn't forcefully. It was like someone tapping him on the shoulder. Like a sudden instinct to turn around.

They belonged to me, Zodiac. They were twisted and maimed in those scientists own image. They used me. If I had known what they were doing there, I would have stopped them. She shook her head. You chose to stay. The horror of it all. Don't you remember the pain you suffered there? Flashes of Zodiac in the cell entered her mind. No doubt it entered his as well. Remember it, Zodiac. Look at how much you lost because of them. You aren't the next step of evolution. Or the most powerful Cybertronian. It's all lies. You are living one. If you don't, then look at me. Face me. Try it again.

(Apparently before the game she did. The nanomachines repaired her spark, so she's now at full power. So.. probably as strong as Megatronus or Fortmax, for now anyway. Normally Whitegrazer is just clairvoyant, empathic, and limited telepathy through that connection thing she does with sparks.. which I guess works like Tarantulas and Blackarachnia's psychic link, minus the forced control stuff. )

((OOC: I will say this: If that is too much, I will change my post. The idea in my head was that the pain inside Whitegrazer was so great that she took it out on the missiles and Megatron's sniper thingy. I was trying something in this post and wanted to see how everyone feels about it. But if there is a problem, I will change it. Also, I'm beginning to think I might make this permanent on her. As well as reveal things earlier about Whitegrazer. Though, I'm weary of doing that because I don't want that revelation to overshadow the confrontation between Zodiac and Optimus. So I might not do it. I'm just experimenting here. ))

Is this why Whitegrazer doesn't use weapons, because she replaced them with psychic powers? :P

Alright. If your keeping Telekenesis of all things.. Probably want to boost Whitegrazer's courage stat.. since you are literally forcing your will on an object to move or explode. As for the rest.. Probably have it so telekensis is more precise the closer Whitegrazer is to an object, with her lift capacity limited by her courage stat, and maybe durability rating.. if she tries to block a fusion cannon blast by Megatron or something, with higher level attacks inflicting mental strain or damage. An example of this would be if Megatron fired his fusion blast at Whitegrazer, she blocked with telekensis. Megatron's stat of 10 firepower on a charge shot would plow through reducing some of the damage and giving Whitegrazer a migraine. Other factors will obviously be concentration. If Whitegrazer is in the middle of a fistfight or distracted in some way, she probably wont be able to concentrate enough to use telekenesis. )

Deathroll followed after the badger, who'd take refuge in the nearby foliage after taking a direct hit in the chest.

"I know you're in here maximal, there's little point in hiding from me, I'll find you eventually, and destroy everything that gets between me and you in the meantime" Deathroll promised as he followed up on his threat, his drill tearing through everything in his way, the predacon showing zero concern for any and all living things he may have crushed or torn apart in the process, plants, animals, all was fair game.

"Perhaps you'd prefer to go out with a bang instead?" Deathroll added as he began to fire randomly into the foliage, his cannons doing even more catastrophic damage to the surrounding area, trees burning, animals fleeing for their lives, and most importantly of all, Ironclaw was running out of places to hide from the armored predacon giant.

"Hhhmmm, you must not care very much for this world you maximals claim to protect, if you stand idly by while it burns, coward" Deathroll said coldly as he continued his destructive hunt, casually laying waste to the landscape, knowing that eventually the maximal would run out of hiding places and be forced out into the open, or he would get lucky and strike the maximal down.

"Insolent beetle! No one speaks ill of the Royalty and lives, no one!" Inferno snarled as he rushed forward, guns blazing...Only for Terrorsaur to steal his thunder by maneuvering behind Landmine and shooting him in the back with his shoulder missiles!

"I had the situation in hand Terrorsaur!" Inferno scowled, annoyed by the transmetal's interference, having been more than ready to vanquish Landmine himself in defense of the Royalty's honor himself.

"Oh sure you did, Inferno, SURE you did, I can tell by how you were rushing straight into him with all the grace and care of a Sharkicon in an unstable energon vein" Terrorsaur replied with a roll of his optics, he really didn't care about Inferno in the slightest, but with Waspinator out of the fight already, AGAIN, he needed the big dumb bug to keep the odds in his favor against the maximal's big dumb bug...Insects, can't with with them, can't live without them.

"Bah! Wretched drone, enough of your squawking and do your duty, for ONCE" Inferno retorted as the two predacons began to fly circles around Landmine to make themselves more difficult targets, all the while combining their firepower to inflict more harm to his armor than either could do alone.

"Whatever you say, FORMER Subcommander" Terrorsaur teased in spite of following the ant's lead in their combined assault on Landmine, the pterodactyl still finding amusement in how Megatron's number one bootlicker had been demoted to rank and file soldier, just another reminder to how far one could not in fact get by being loyal to the "Royalty."

Phoenix wrote: Those Predacon fools!

Megatron watched in amusement as his predacon pelted Zodiac and the maximals with their firepower, what made it even more amusing was how Zodiac felt the need to protec the maximals he'd been trying to kill earlier with his own body!

"Oh how the mighty have fallen" Megatron mused inwardly as he waited for his troops to complete their assault, and then for Zodiac to retract the makeshift shields he had made out of his own wings, the traitor leaving himself wide open, giving himself the moment he needed to attack...

"And the hero slays the dragon, yyyyyeeessssss" Megatron whispered to himself as he fired his fully charged tailgun at Zodiac's spark chamber, the container that held the one part of his being he was certain even he could not regenerate.

Without a moment's hesitation, he then turned his attention to his next target, Primal's mate, weapon charged and ready to extinguish her as well...Oh, how Primal would cry when he awoke to find the love of his life without a head!
Una wrote: Took a deep breath.

The sniper's sight shatters.

In the moment before he fired again, Whitegrazer's gaze seemed to meet his own, no matter, she wouldn't live long enough to give away his position...Or so he thought before the side of the rock behind which had been so well hidden seemingly exploded! Obscuring his vision with ice and snow as the predacon lord fired his weapon wildly, not seeing where his shots had struck, if at all, as he struggled to clear his vision, cursing his luck!

Knowing the jig was up Megatron hovered sideways to avoid making himself a target as he cleared his vision, just in time to see Terrorsaur's and Inferno's missile fire explode prematurely, the two flyers looking more than a little confused by this latest turn of events.

"WHOA! What the slag just happened?!" Terrorsaur exclaimed, his optics not believing what he was seeing.

"Fool! Watch your line of fire" Inferno scolded, assuming the transmetal had fired his missiles into his own, and just when they had been about to light Landmine up like a firecracker no less!

"Me?! You think I did THAT?! Open your compound eyes stupid, those missiles blew up on their own!" Terrorsaur insisted, refusing to take the blame for this bizarre occurrence.

"Blew up on their own..." Megatron pondered in confusion before his optics widened in understanding as he turned his attention back to Whitegrazer, realizing who the culprit behind all of this was as he proclaimed "Well now Primal, you sure do know how to pick them now don't you?" as he opened fire on the maximal witch with his tail gun, deciding not to risk munition fire after witnessing that last display.

"Terrorsaur, Inferno! Refrain from munition fire for now, switch to beams and incendiary weapons!" Megatron commanded over the comms as he continued his attack, Inferno switching to his flamethrower, unleashing a barrage of fireballs at Landmine while Terrorsaur utilized his optic beams, the pair aiming to strike at any weak points they'd managed to make in his armor, as well as his wings and hinges.

OOC: Hope ya don't mind Una, but I had it so that Whitegrazer messed with Megatron's cover, in this case shattering the ice and snow on the side of the rock behind which he'd been hiding, since his tail gun doesn't actually have a sniper scope on it lol. Hope that's okay. As for whether this should be a permanent ability or not, guess that's up to OOP, though I figure if she keeps her telekinesis there will have to be limits since she can apparently make weapons fire detonate prematurely and who knows what else "shrugs"

((OOC: No, it's all right, DarkSpark. I will fix my mistake. Love how Megatron calls her a witch. Also, tomorrow, if not tonight, yeah, most definitely, I am going to do a total overhaul on whitegrazer's profile and take into account what you have said, Nk. I promised to do it. I gotta do it. ))

Blackarachnia wasn't caring for a moment about the others. She saw that alien device and she wanted it. If she could get her hands on it, the only thought in her mind, she didn't need the Maximals or anyone else anymore. She wanted her independence. She wanted freedom. Though, that was what she thought when she took control of the alien island a year ago. What did that gain her? Nothing but mocks and humilation of her failure from Meagtron. The idea.. the thought she learned her lesson on this alien devices. Though, she does have more knowledge than she had before. But still, it was a risky move on her part. Did she want to be swallowed up by her own pride again? She trembled in disgust. Made her sound like Megatron. And he had enough pride to fill up a galaxy.

When she noticed Nemesis taking aim, against her own better judgement, or whatever ever she felt, her instincts to flee kicked in, but for some odd reason, her pincher took a hold of Rattrap's arm, "We, survivalists, need to split!" Quickly, she fired her grappling gun and took her and Rattrap up before the explosion, hopefully, buried them.

Once Rattrap and she made it to the top, she witnessed Terrorsaur's own missiles exploding in thin air. Whoa. she noticed Landslide has his hands full. So did Optimus, Zodiac, and Whitegrazer as Megatron appeared. Wondering is she could get in a cheap shot while he didn't know she was here. But all her instincts told her to run again. She was tempted to, but where? Where? She rolled her optics at herself.

She was such a fool. She aimed her weapon at Terrorsaur and fired, trying to help Landslide out.

In the air, Umbra looked down on the battlefield. Noticing something sparkle as it moved through the air and landed in the snow near Primal and Zodiac. That was your plan? Umbra muttered to himself. He didn't mind the Maximals were "goody two shoes", the only problem was they were too damn peaceful for their own good. They didn't know the hardships to create that peace, the violence of the past, and in the shadows of the present. Whatever the object was, it probably was only to weaken Zodiac.. not kill him. But it didn't matter. He could just leave Zodiac to slaughter the two, then finish the monster when the chance arrived.

Landslide kept his shield up using his right hand to support it as he blocked Inferno's shots, flying at him. Only to suddenly stop in the air as a few missiles hit him in the backside Ug..
Inferno wrote:"I had the situation in hand Terrorsaur!"

Landslide raised up his shield blocking as they started to fire again, man it was a pain with his anti air guns broken he thought to himself. The shots just chipping away at his heavy body armor with burn marks and dents forming in spots.
Terrorsaur wrote:"Oh sure you did, Inferno, SURE you did, I can tell by how you were rushing straight into him with all the grace and care of a Sharkicon in an unstable energon vein"

Inferno wrote:"Bah! Wretched drone, enough of your squawking and do your duty, for ONCE"

Landslide raised an optic ridge as the missiles and rockets stopped and exploded in mid air, the concussion wave still hit, but didn't seem to effect him much considering the blows he was already taking. Though it was strange that the explosives went off in mid air.. it couldn't of been multiple faulty explosives. Weird..

Landslide raised his shield blocking the flames then from Inferno, the lasers striking into his backside for a moment, until Blackarachnia's missile flew towards Terrorsaur. This gave him an opening. Shifting his shield out of the way, Landslide's right arm opened as he pointed it towards Inferno, firing a continuous lightning blast into Inferno's chest.

"It is for you,"
If only he knew! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! the voice laughed.

Primal had glared up at Zodiac again when his grip tightened on his chin and he squeezed his jaw before throwing his head back and slamming it into the snow. He wasn't surprised to see the shapeshifter extend his wings to cover him from the Predacons' blasts that rained down on them since he likely wanted to slice his throat open by his own hand and no one else's. He wanted the last fatal blow to Optimus for himself, not for Megatron or his goons. Despite that obvious observation, Optimus accepted the shielding taking advantage of it if it meant keeping him from getting hit.

Back to Optimus making his attempt at stabbing his opponent with the syringe, he almost gasped in surprise when he felt Zodiac's hand suddenly grab his wrist and stop its motion dead in its track. His gasp quickly turned into a growl in frustration as he pushed back against Zodiac's strength but made no head way.
"Foolish Maximal! Do you really think you can sedate me again? By now my system has grown immune to it."
Primal reserved a quizzical expression so as not to make Zodiac think otherwise of the syringe's intentions when he realized that the black bot probably thought it was a tranquilizer of some sort that they had used on him in the past. Your system isn't immune to this, Zodiac! I guarantee it! He tried even harder not to let a smirk tug at the corner of his scarred mouth.

For once, he's the fool and not you! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

While he had been distracted with the whisper in his head, he felt a hard smack to his arm which made it bend backwards, involuntarily opening his hand and releasing the precious vial. NO! Optimus watched it tumble through the snowy air until it landed in a snow drift, panic overwhelming him for letting the very vital concoction out of his grasp. It was all they had to their plan and it was the only batch Aurora was able to cook up. He had to retrieve it!

Get it! Get it! Get it! I can't believe you let it go so easily, Butterfingers! You better get it, Optimus, or we're screwed!

His breathing was quick and shallow, panicking and trying to think, trying to stay composed, fear and worry splashing across his face.
"You are wrong, Zodiac," "You lose."
Among all of the Predacon gun fire that was targeting Landslide now and his own chaotic disaster, Whitegrazer's voice stood out to the gorilla. Was she talking about the syringe that he had just lost, or was she talking about something else? Was she going to do something to herself in order to stop him? It had better not be anything rash! He was uncertain but he took the opportunity to roll himself away from Zodiac as fast as he could before getting to his feet only to jump and slide into the snow toward the drift where the vial had sank in to. Scrambling frantically, Optimus dug in the snow forgetting everything else going on around him, completely focused on finding that syringe like a dog searching for his bone. No, no, no, no, no! Where is it?! He dug and dug, pushing the snow around and shoving it out of his way. Where is it?!

Hurry, you fool!

I'M LOOKING!

We're a sitting a duck! FIND IT NOW!

That was when he felt it tap his fingers. Quickly he scooped up the syringe along with a handful of snow and shook it off. We got it! He lifted it up to his face for a closer examination making sure nothing was damaged or leaking. It wasn't. It was completely intact and ready to use. An enormous weight was lifted off his shoulders until he saw a bright purple flash speed by him toward Zodiac. He clutched the needle safely in his hand and returned it to his subspace just in time to look back at the origin of the firepower. Megatron. And a moment later, another blast was fired, this time aimed at him. Optimus leaped to the side to dodge it, narrowly missing its impact, rolling in the snow and sliding to a stop. He reached for his gun on his hip only to find it empty. Slag! he cursed.

Zodiac ate some of it and you abandoned it, remember?! the voice said with blunt frustration. Optimus waved his hand dismissively at himself before turning his attention to the air where everyone else was looking as well.
"WHOA! What the slag just happened?!"
"Fool! Watch your line of fire"
"Me?! You think I did THAT?! Open your compound eyes stupid, those missiles blew up on their own!"
Primal seemed just as puzzled as everyone else until something begged him to look toward Whitegrazer. He slowly turned his head to gaze upon the mare in question, finding her hand lowering after it had been reaching out toward the missiles that were about to hit Landslide but exploded in mid air. How...? he thought, bewildered.
"Well now Primal, you sure do know how to pick them now don't you?"
Optimus growled at the tyrant, baring his sharp teeth in robot mode and licked the scar over his lips.

He's going to go after her now.

I know!

Are you going to let that happen?

NO! I've had enough! ENOUGH! Primal lifted the "pack" off of his back and pulled it over his shoulders to place it in front of his bleeding and torn chest, activating his gunning system and firing at Megatron with several shots as the powerful kickback made his feet slightly slide backwards in the slick snow. He did this at the same time as the TransMetal t-rex opened fire on Whitegrazer, leaving himself vulnerable to an attack from Zodiac. Although, maybe he wanted the shapeshifter to get close to him again. He had to be in order to administer the "virus" with precision and make sure the needle penetrated his armor.
"Terrorsaur, Inferno! Refrain from munition fire for now, switch to beams and incendiary weapons!"
One had to admit how quick Megatron was to adapting to unpredictable situations. He was just as good as that as Optimus was being an opportunist. However Whitegrazer managed to counter those missiles without physically touching them, Optimus didn't think she could perform such a maneuver very often, maybe not even again. How was it sparked inside of her to do it now? She had appeared to be struggling before... Perhaps it was all of the pain and emotions in the battlefield right now, although he still couldn't feel the Empath through their bond so he had no idea what she was really going through, especially with those nanobots inside of her.

"Have it your way. I prefer my rodents deep fried anyway,"
Rattrap's mouth opened in mid-thought but nothing came out. Oh yeah?! Well, I prefer my, uh... Hang on... Rats! he said to himself in his head, unable to come up with a witty come back and disappointed with himself. I hate dat freak, he finally settled on.
While it's been fascinating listening to this banter, we're simply out of time..
"Thanks fer the ride!" the Maximal Spy sarcastically yelled up at Umbra while he watched the squid fly out of the top of the mountain in a spiraling motion. He thought about shooting him to knock him back down where squids belonged but he managed to refrain himself not wanting cause any more falling rocks.
"Dinner is just about served,"
"Excuse me, waitress! Mine's still under cooked!" the rodent retorted, referring to Nemesis and Umbra not being heaping piles of molten metal in the lava, watching Nemesis follow Umbra upward. Slaggin' fliers think dey're so fancy with their jet propulsion and wings, he mocked them inwardly. Then he sighed exceptionally loudly on purpose when he watched Nemesis shoot at one of the charges which inevitably made it explode, and then the next one, and the next one, and so forth, rocking the inside of the already hot volcano. He was about to turn tail and run when he suddenly felt a gross pincer arm wrap around his waist and yank him upward.
"We, survivalists, need to split!"
Rattrap kicked and screamed in retaliation like a toddler, not enough to make her drop him but just enough to annoy her. "Why didn't we just run out the way we came in, which woulda been away from deir explosives?! Oh dat's right, you had ta check out the machine for yerself and try ta hijack its power!" Deep down, however, he was a bit taken aback by her seemingly selfless act to include him in her escape. The charges continued to detonate all around them as they swiftly climbed higher and higher, the heat and flames right at their feet.
Whoa.
"What now?" he asked with irritation, pretending to brush off her Predacon cooties from his TransMetal body as they climbed over the ledge and stood alone at the top, Nemesis and Umbra long gone. Finishing that, and missing what Blackarachnia had witnessed with the missiles exploding on their own, he finally got serious and looked down through some passing clouds to the action that was unfolding a little farther below them while the mountain shook beneath their feet. "So Megajerk finally decided ta show his ugly mug. Looks like we're missin' out, and I ain't hangin' around here when dis whole volcano collapses or erupts." It's gonna be death either way, he negatively thought. He glanced behind him to find that the alien beam signal had since vanished. The message it was sending was already long gone in space. Terrific. Stupid Zodiac. Then he watched Blackarachnia actually fire at Terrorsaur. Was it all for show? Or was she really fighting against her own allegiance now and siding with the Maximals? Actually, she was most likely just using the Maximals just like Nemesis had. "We gotta get ta lower ground," Rattrap told her. He transformed to his vehicle mode and skidded down the mountain sideways at first, then fishtailed along the loose rocks, gravel and snow that shook loose and fell from the vibrations of the lousy Predacons' demolition charges. Weaving and straightening out his steering with his metal wheels, he headed for Ironclaw and... Wait. Who the heck was that?! A new Predacon?! You gotta be kiddin' me! He hadn't received Rhinox's communication since the mountain was blocking his reception, so he remained focused, revving his pipes until flames shot out of them and drove toward the menacing alligator driller bot and most likely his suicide.

-----
This is Landslide. I copy, but not a great time. What's yer situation?
"I wanted to ask you the same question," Rhinox confirmed with a little interference in their transmission, tremendously relieved to hear from someone over there. Thank the Matrix. "The base has suffered some damage; we're assessing it now. Otherwise, we're alright. What's your status?"

"Aurora," he said over his personal comm. link to her's, "I've reached Landslide." Then he patched her frequency through to hear Landslide as well.
"Well, that's just prime!"

Zodiac had watched parts of Whitegrazer's futile struggle against the internal damage his nanomachines were doing to her, only looking away because his main target, Optimus, was still refusing to let his spirits get broken down. No matter what heinous act he committed, the Maximal leader's spirit simply couldn't be broken. Even with Whitegrazer's life in the balance, her pained form twitching on the ground in clear view of Optimus, his foe was still fighting him.

Well, soon it wouldn't matter anymore. The white mare would be dead, killed by her own stubbornness and persistence to try to stop the shapeshifter. And Primal would follow.

The shapeshifter grinned slightly as the jerking motion of his arm caused Optimus to lose the syringe that went flying off into a pile of snow. Confident his opponent was just growing desperate, he took great joy in seeing the pure panic spread across Primal's face. It was a look that fit the Maximal well, the pretender thought, and one that he had waited a long time to see. Of course Optimus' reaction did puzzle the shapeshifter a bit, especially after he had just told him the tranquilizer wouldn't work on him again. It had been a lie, merely another lie, but Zodiac hoped his poker face would have been able to convince Primal it was true. In reality, however, his nanomachines would not be able to completely halt the effects of a powerful sedative. They sped up the process of ridding his body of the contaminant, sure, but they couldn't make him immune to the effects. Thus it was in Zodiac's best interest to avoid getting stabbed with the syringe.

Primal started digging frantically through the snow, again making the shapeshifter question his sanity. The fool had just turned his back to the one individual who'd be more than happy to stab him in it! It was an open invitation the shapeshifter found quite alluring.. And he was not about to pass up on the opportunity.

He grabbed for his massive broad sword and took a step closer.

A voice interrupted his movement, verbally disarming him with a sense of confidence he had not been expecting. His optics drifted to the female, confused, annoyed, frustrated..

He wanted nothing more than to stab his foe through the chest and let him bleed out in the snow, while his killer watched him die an agonizing death. Yet he felt compelled against taking another step, instead his attention drawn to her. He could feel the confusion rising from the nanomachines within her, echoing within his own machines. They stopped their work, disobeying his order.
"You are wrong, Zodiac," she stares at the shapeshifter. "You lose."
Somewhere above he could hear the sound of missiles exploding in mid flight and for but a moment time stood still.

A sudden sharp pain hitting his wrist caused him to drop the sword to the ground. The shapeshifter hollered from the intense burning pain, clutching what remained of his wrist only to find that his hand was barely even attached to it. Unable to hold up the sword anymore, the smoldering weapon fell into the snow and melted through several layers before coming to a stop on the mountain itself. Zodiac glared up at his attacker, Megatron, who was no longer sheltered by the elements. His nanomachines were quick to repair the damage to his wrist, fortunately, but as he tried to bend over to pick up his weapon he found that he couldn't move. He was as if frozen, his attention again going to the white female. Flashes of memories clouded his mind. He was back in the lab, chained down while the scientists worked on him.. Then the view of the little fuzor through the scope of his sniper rifle.. Her body on the ground, seemingly lifeless. He felt Whitegrazer's grief at that moment, it hit him like speeding into a concrete wall. And then he saw her on the table, so long ago, the scientists working on her as well.

Zodiac's expression changed to something resembling horror. Gone was the smirk, the grins, the wicked gleam in his optics. All he could feel right now was... her.

For the first time during this confrontation, Zodiac inclined his head to look at the ground. Much like a child caught misbehaving. He could feel the nanomachines raging war within, and her optics upon him.. almost burning him with their intensity. Slowly, very slowly, he shook his head to clear it.

It's not true, he told her, albeit hesitant in his denial.

He stood there like this for a moment, long enough for Primal to finish digging through the snow. The Maximal must have given up, Zodiac decided, as he used every bit of willpower that he possessed to drive her out of his thoughts. And finally he was able to move again. Forcing himself to focus, he turned his attention back to Optimus.

Nemesis was perched on a rocky formation above, watching the scene unfold. She briefly thought about the she-spider and the rat, wondering if they truly got buried underneath tons of rock as the demolition charges went off, but she wasted no time trying to figure it out. Instead she sat perfectly still, waiting for the right opportunity to make her presence known.
"Aurora," he said over his personal comm. link to her's, "I've reached Landslide.
Thank Primus!

Aurora was so relieved to hear this bit of news, immediately assuming that meant they were all okay. "How are you guys doing?!," she asked of Landslide now that the link had been re-established. "Hope you make it back here soon as the base is a bit of a mess.. And Rattrap wasn't even here to clutter it this time!"

As she spoke, she also made notes and rough estimates of the damage that was done to the outside of the hull. It wasn't quite as bad as she had initially feared, albeit Rattrap would certainly have a field day when he came back to see it. In the meanwhile Aurora had converted to beast mode in the hopes that her repair system, slow as it was, would fix the damage done to her fragile wings.
