Maximize/Terrorize!

Unread post by Darkshadow14 »

I was having a Beast Wars marathon while I was babysitting today and something sparked into my mind; why is it that they (Both Preds and Maximals) stopped, for the most part, saying "Maximize" and/ or "Terrorize"? If you noticed, obviously in season 1 they said it a lot more often, but I feel with the other seasons they almost felt no need for it. And what did they really gain by saying it? Do you think their bodies were just so used to transforming, that they didn't need to announce that's what they were doing it anymore? But by saying either "Maximize" and/ or "Terrorize" what did that ultimately do? Like trigger their body to move around?

Input? Ideas?

When the series started, hasbro and the writers wanted the Maximals and Predacons to have a generic catch phrase, something that the viewers will remember. (not the individual character's catch phrase) But as the series grew, the need for that catch phrase subsided because the characters began to grow individually more, influencing the team dynamic.

Hopefully, I've answered your question instead of confusing you more. ;)
