HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! *throws confetti* *sets off fireworks*
I usually don't make new year's resolutions. I had trouble following a simple diet...so I just know I'll break a new year's resolution pretty quickly!! This year was even harder to come up with one...I didn't actually expect to be alive today what with the Mayan prophecies of impending doom upon us and all.
BUT!!!! I actually did come up with a new year's resolution for this year (aside from trying to get back on that diet that I've tried three times now to follow....
) I got a subscription to this awesome literary magazine as an early birthday present (I had no idea what it was and my mom forgot that she ordered it so she let me open the package not realizing it was something she intended to put aside for my birthday). It is centered around one of my favorite authors, Edgar Allan Poe! It has really inspired me to get a bit more serious about my writing. I'd like to write more and possibly even submit something to the magazine. I'd also like to finish the novel I've been working on for years. It's easier said than done.

Happy New Year! I know I'm a day late, but I just got back into town 
Had a blast in Minneapolis (go Vikings!) and celebrated my friend's birthday at midnight January 1st (which he also proposed to his girlfriend).
