Well we had agreed to rent this cabin by Lake Nippissing in Canada, a 6 hour drive from our house. We'd arranged for the dog to stay in a kennel, Nick had taken out his vacation time, and I had purchased vacation clothes and stuff. Then 6 days before we were scheduled to go there, we got a call from the owner of the cabin (he rents out several smaller cabins on the beach in that area) saying our cabin couldn't be rented due to a sewage problem.

Since we had already made the arrangements, we had to scramble to find a replacement cabin. We ended up finding one not far away from where we were originally going, but it cost us an additional 350 dollars and required more travelling to get where we wanted to be.

Ugh. What a hassle. Sorry to hear that, Phoenix. I hope you guys made the best of it, though, despite the changes.

So... I was hoping for a lot more progress on the game since my last post and before tonight because tomorrow I leave for Atlanta to attend Dragon*Con and very likely won't have time to do any posts until next Tuesday (when I come home) or Wednesday after work. Sorry, guys. Been waiting for people to post. Instead it's been mostly OOC stuffs. I'll check in every once in a while to read but that's all. See you when I get back next week!

Ugh! I genuinely hate real life right now but I've unfortunately had very little time to come on here lately and been pretty busy. At this rate I don't know when I can be back on since things have been hectic around my place and at the moment I have to call for a long leave of absence, which I might not even be able to finish out this episode for the season final. I apologize a thousand times over guys but just one of those times I just can't get around this and hope to be back in this RPG soon!

I know it wasn't quite my turn yet, but I posted in the forum. I will be out of town for the next few days seeing the Eagles vs. Steelers game in Pittsburgh!!

So I'm off for a little much needed vacation. I threw a post in quick so that I wouldn't be quite so far behind when I come back. I will be reading posts and stuff, but I don't imagine I'll post or anything until I get back.

Not that the game really goes anywhere in a week, but I wanted to let everyone know I may be absent for a couple days or so due to "Frankenstorm", aka Hurricane Sandy, if she happens to knock out as much power as they're predicting. Winds gusting near 70 mph tomorrow and 4-8 inches of rain just might wreak some havoc but we'll see. Apparently this has never happened before with a tropical system colliding with a cold front in our area, so no one really knows what's going to happen. The gas stations are very busy today; had to fuel up my car just in case. And I don't have a generator, so if this will be anything like last year's "Snowageddon" at Halloween when it dumped eight inches of snow on trees that were still very green with leaves and I lost power for four days, well, I won't be able to post. I'm really just hoping work loses power so I can still stay home. For those of you in the same boat as me here in the northeast, stay safe! Keep your candles and flashlights handy and brace for impact.

Naitokage and I are also getting hit by the storm later today. I don't think it'll be too bad where I live, since it's a little bit more inland but NK lives across the state from me so he's right in the path of the storm.
