Yeah, seriously....where are those two?!?! They seem to check this place once a week and then not again until the following week. If we ever hope to finish this episode, they'll have to post more often than that!!!

Before we were getting too far ahead so we threw in that little chase with Blackarachnia while everyone caught up, but maybe that went on a bit too long.... :?

((OOC: I'm sorry, Darkspark and Blackrosefencer for taking so darn long in getting my posts together. Personal matters have been getting in the way and this month has been so chaotic for me. I should be able to post tomorrow. I will make a mental note. I have to or I will have a lapse in memory and forget. So anyway, I will be able to post tomorrow.

Edit: Nah! I'm doing it now! ))

Whitegrazer heard Cheetor's question and was about to answer when Dinobot had ran into Cheetor then blaming Cheetor. She would had laughed or at least chuckled, but the situation left her in such a solemn mood. Actually, she tried, but it would have been more of a forced one than geniune.

"Our landlords, it seems, they are going to kick us out of this establishment, "she looked at the sky where the moon was brightening up then back towards Dinobot, "with a bang I presume. I guess they got tired of playing around and now, are taking a more direct approach."

"We better head to base swiftly, I fear. Right now, the aliens have the first move. Maybe back at base, we will be able to find some way to stop it or at least survive whatever they are planning on doing to us."

A big pulse resonated in her spark, but it was happening inwardly.

Her spark's pulse wasn't directed at herself, but through the connection she had with Optimus. The pulse gripped Optimus's spark very tightly, flashing two images beside each other. The first image was displaying fire across the landscape of sand and trees. The other image was...Whitegrazer, but it all looked wrong. It didn't look like her at all. The solemn yet gentle, warm facial features she expressed were now replaced with darkened, steely gaze that displayed an eerie coldness and fury. It was almost like she was...possessed by something....or someone. Chains appeared around her with locks resembling the spheres sparks conveyed.

The image's voice was like a distorted version of Whitegrazer. So deep. So ominous.

"...take back..."

Whitegrazer was unaware of what her spark had conveyed to Optimus.

But she was feeling through the connection, expressing her solemn and calm despite the situation and provided a warm towards his spark. There was still a dull pain that lingered from the intense scan she had experienced through Optimus's little conversation with the aliens, but she was ignoring it. It didn't bother her. What bothered her is that the aliens might have discovered something they shouldn't have. Hopefully, they thought of it as irrelevant.

Blackarachnia had to roll her optics at Arachnitron and Tarantulas's little flattery going on.

"She is not quite a Predacon yet, Tarantulas." She glared at him then smiled, "Let's see how she handles herself here."

After all, only one of us will escape here.

She looked at Tarantulas, waiting for his move, "Well...? Aren't you going to open the hatch for us ladies?"

She transformed and loaded up her weapon with high doses of cybervenom, ready for action.

Triple dose should dropped them on their feet

Blackrose wrote: She almost reminded him that she too was familiar with the Maximal base and its layout, but she decided there was no need to bring that up especially not after his comment about her becoming a proper Predacon. A proper Predacon didn't belong with Maximals. She didn't belong with Maximals. So it was best not to bring that part of her journey up again.

"I will," She assured Tarantulas before following him inside. She'd make it a point to stay close to him until the moment he decided it was time to turn on Blackarachnia.

No one noticed the red ant sneaking in behind them.

Good, she follows orders, if only the rest of the Predacons on this planet did the same none of this madness would have been necessary from the start. He climbed up the side of the Axalon with his arachnoid battalion in tow, again grateful for being a spider and the skills that came with it, and was soon face to face with the roof hatch that would grant them entry into the maximal base undetected.

"Jealous, witch?" Tarantulas cackled inwardly in response to BA's optic roll and her words about Arachnitron's fledgling predacon status.

However, all eight of his beast mode's eyes glared at the presumptuous schemer at the thought of him doing her any favors after all this drama, but merely transformed into robot mode, ripped open the hatch with his pincers, and replied "Then I suppose you won't be joining us, Blackarachnia? Last I checked Arachnitron was the only lady here, plus one wench."

As he said all this, waiting for Arachnitron to enter so he could follow behind shortly, Tarantulas' drones marched through the entrance down wherever it led, seeking intel on the maximal's whereabouts so they could be of use to their master.

OOC: Shall the drones seek out each Maximal wherever they are in base or are they all gathered in the ship's bridge/command center right now?

Optimus might have picked up on Whitegrazer's distracted energy and vexed spark had his own mind not been so busy. There was a lot weighing on him now, moreso than usual, and for good reason. These aliens, the Vok, intended on blowing up the entire planet. How were they to save it and all of its creatures? They couldn't escape; their ship's engines were still powerless and useless. Stasis pods? They had a couple empty ones but not enough for everyone, not to mention they weren't meant for long travels in space and they would be completely vulnerable to any dangers beyond its casing. What else was there? While flying beside Airazor who was carrying Rattrap, Primal's crimson optics stared at the fake moon that now seemed to be a massive weapon looming over the blue planet as his mind raced, trying to find ideas in order to stop this madness or somehow survive it. He thought of those he had lost; Nightmist, Icebreaker, and Valkyrie. And how it seemed that no matter how hard he had tried fighting this war, no matter how optimistic he kept himself and his crew through their darkest hours, he was going to fail his Maximals, and the thought of doing so felt like his spark was being crushed. But perhaps, by some miracle, someone would discover a way to stop the Vok. The Maximal Commander still had hope to cling on to even if only by a thread. He had to. Although he hid it from everyone else, Optimus was suffering with deep frustration, concern, fear and confusement. The image they had used of Unicron's head and that deep, mysterious voice haunted his thoughts. Replaying what the Vok said over and over again, it was as if he was desperately searching for clues or answers in what little they had said to him. He could find nothing, and he was certain that had been intentional like everything else they had put them and the Predacons through.

Suddenly, Primal grabbed his chest with his right hand when something felt like it was coiling around his spark and squeezing. For a few moments he couldn't breathe until he concentrated and felt that this was coming from Whitegrazer. What was wrong? Was it something the Vok had done to her? Then there were two images that involuntarily appeared in his mind out of no where, distracting his vision as he focused on them instead of where he was flying. In one of them, he was watching the world burn. Not Cybertron, but an organic planet, most likely the one they were on now that could've been Earth. Why was it burning? Did this have something to do with their impending doom by the aliens? The other image he could see was Whitegrazer. ...Sort of. It felt like it was her but something was terribly wrong. Whitegrazer...? his thought trailed off in worry before it was interrupted by something he had never experienced before. A voice that felt like it had deviated from Whitegrazer's spark and was suddenly speaking through his. To him? At him? Was Whitegrazer trying to send a message? Was she aware that she was doing this at all? He was so caught off guard that Optimus gasped loudly and moved his hand from his chest to his head, both of his index and middle fingers touching his temple as if he were battling a headache.
"...take back..."
"Take back what?" the leader unknowingly said outloud while he cruised along in the air. Primal could feel the energon fields beginning to bypass his dampers. He would have to land and revert to beast mode shortly. At least they were almost back to Base. But then he could also feel a peaceful and warm flow of energy toward his spark. He was certain that was Whitegrazer as familiar as it was to him by now, but with that energy intertwining with the ominous one from which he was unsure where it was coming from really did start to give him an aching pain in his mind. There was too much going on besides his own thoughts, it felt crowded, his spark was heavy and he desperately searched for peace.

"What?" Rattrap called to their fearless leader hearing him.

"What?" Optimus repeated, shaking his head a little and looking over at the rodent dangling from Airazor's talons.

"Uh... You okay?" he asked. "I mean, you know, besides the planet and us bein' blown up like fireworks?"

"No, I'm not," he snapped at Rattrap although not meaning to. "I mean... Yes. Yes, I'm fine... considering the circumstances," Optimus lied.

Studying the leader suspiciously and unconvinced, Rattrap was unable to get another word in before Primal immediately began descending toward the Axalon's general area. "I hate it when he does that," he said to Airazor.

-----

"Termination sequence engaged," a bodiless voice at the alien mushroom site announced. The beam attached from the dome to the fake moon, as well as the dome itself, disappeared. "Return to Nexus Zero." As if absorbed into the giant weapon orbiting the planet, the bright illumination vanished and the "moon" went dark and quiet.

-----

Tigatron's face mimmicked Aurora's frown who was obviously not "buying" that "could have been unintentional" part he mentioned. He couldn't be certain himself since Optimus had confiscated and secured all of the video feed from the security cameras that had been captured during both Icebreaker's death and Valkyrie's, and for good reason, obviously. If certain eyes had witnessed what transpired, who knows what revenge they would seek on the suspects responsible for pulling their triggers. If they wanted to know, they would have to confront their leader. Or Optimus would speak to them privately.
"I.. think I do," "It wasn't supposed to be this way. I'm still having a hard time understanding how all this came to pass. Just a few days ago everything was... well.. perfect. Icebreaker was supposed to take me out gliding. He.. He always had such a positive spirit that I'd be able to become proficient at it."
This poor, young soul beside him. Aurora always had the toughest questions. She was so curious. She always wanted to understand and learn. He hoped she would never waste an opportunity seeking all of that knowledge that she was so hungry for. "You should take Icebreaker's positive spirit and thrive on it. Pick up where he left off, Aurora. Remember him through your actions and decisions," the taller Maximal said softly in his rumbly voice, adding an encouraging tone to it.
"How do some bots get to be so.. evil?,"
"The definitions of good and evil depend on one's perspective," Tigatron replied. "While labeling someone's actions to being evil from your point of view, they might be viewed as good to another. You can never control it. However, I feel great pity for those who don't feel remorse or take responsibility for their life-changing actions. Some learn and change. Others just don't care. And it's difficult to understand." He felt that this stereotyping of Predacons being the "evil ones" and the "bad guys" compared to the Maximals being the "good guys" was something Optimus was truly trying to disprove and push the differences aside to reach a common goal; survival. Not all Predacons were bad, and not all Maximals were good. Unfortunately, many are brainwashed to this belief of hating each other just because of the allegiance they belong to.
"I'll come," "Aurora maximize!" "I move faster through the air,"
Tigatron was so relieved to hear that, watching her maximize while he stood up. As she leaped off the edge and spread her wings to glide back down toward the Axalon, the other Maximal reverted back to his beast mode and hurried off back the way he had arrived, taking a few short cuts to return to their base of operations as quickly as he could. No doubt Optimus and his team would be returning shortly, and then they would be able to get the details on what was happening. It didn't look like it would be good news, though. With the fake moon currently dark and ominous now, almost unnoticable to the naked eye except for the stars it was blocking, it definitely felt like the calm before the storm. This wasn't over. Something big was about to happen.

"Axalon, this is Tigatron," the white tiger called through his comm. link to whomever was monitoring the radio. "Aurora and I are returning to Base," he reported.
"Well, that's just prime!"

Arachnitron noticed Blackarachnia roll her optics in response to her conversation with Tarantulas.
"She is not quite a Predacon yet, Tarantulas." Blackarachnia glared at him then smiled, "Let's see how she handles herself here."

"Jealous, witch?" Tarantulas cackled inwardly in response to BA's optic roll and her words about Arachnitron's fledgling predacon status.

Arachnitron scowled at Blackarachnia's implications regarding her Predacon status. She crossed her arms over her chest plate.

"I'm not on some 'prove that I'm a Predacon' mission," Arachnitron interrupted with a touch of sass in her voice. "Because truth be told, I can't be called that anymore. My programming has been tainted. I can't be what I once was. I can't get back what I lost. So, I'm a little of both now."

She looked away from the other spiders feeling hot, painful anger course through her circuits. She hated to confess that to a Predacon, but she figured it would be common knowledge soon enough. Her optics were green now as Tarantulas pointed out earlier. If what he said is true, that means they were red earlier. Who knows how many Predacons saw her then and will notice the change. The Maximals already knew her secret thanks to that big ape....it was only a matter of time before the Predacons would know too. She could only hope they were off this planet before that happened.

She looked back at Blackarachnia, her tone no longer angry, but cold, flat and unemotional. "But should the Predacon in me take over again, I strongly recommend not speaking poorly about our tainted programming to her. She is not a force to be reckoned with. You'll be on your knees at Tarantulas' feet begging him to lock her up again," Arachnitron threatened.

She looked up and noticed that the second moon was changing. Her anger slipped away suddenly. She looked at the others. "If we're going to leave this planet, we better hurry!"

The two widows transformed to robot mode and readied their weapons.
Blackarachnia looked at Tarantulas, waiting for his move, "Well...? Aren't you going to open the hatch for us ladies?"

All eight of Tarantulas' beast mode's eyes glared at the presumptuous schemer at the thought of him doing her any favors after all this drama, but merely transformed into robot mode, ripped open the hatch with his pincers, and replied "Then I suppose you won't be joining us, Blackarachnia? Last I checked Arachnitron was the only lady here, plus one wench."

Arachnitron chuckled quietly at their bantering. "Guess that means I get to go first," she said winking at the others. "Ladies, first. Wenches last."

Tarantulas' drones marched through the entrance. Arachnitron followed them inside landing gracefully in front of one of a Maximal she didn't recognize. it must have been one of the occupants of the stasis pods that landed while she and Tarantula were chasing after Blackarachnia. She pulled out het Cybervenom weapon and aimed at the new Maximal as she waited for the other spiders to join her in the bridge.

OOC:
Shall the drones seek out each Maximal wherever they are in base or are they all gathered in the ship's bridge/command center right now?
It's a good question. I say we just go in and whoever's there will post a reply. So I figured we should get to that so that we can be in place when the moon does it's thing. So I threw Arachnitron in first. I don't know where the hatch goes to, but if it goes into the bridge than the Maximals can write that they see her. The drones can seek out whoever's not in the bridge, I suppose or help with the extra Maximals if they can....

As for Inferno, I'll post for him the next time I post for Arachnitron...right now, nothing in his situation has changed, he's still following the spiders.

Blackarachnia was indifferent to what Tarantulas had called her as she knew he loved using that word "wench" to describe her all the time besides "witch" anyway. She just crossed her arms with an "I don't care" look, staring away from the two into the distance where the moon was still producing some type of activity. Her thoughts ran wild at the idea that they might not make it in time to survive the aliens' wrath or whatever they planned on doing.

She couldn't accept such a fate. She won't. She would do whatever it takes to survive this and if she can't...

"But should the Predacon in me take over again, I strongly recommend not speaking poorly about our tainted programming to her. She is not a force to be reckoned with. You'll be on your knees at Tarantulas' feet begging him to lock her up again,"
Blackarachnia saw the light vanish from the moon and smiled darkly at Arachnitron, saying nothing.

I will kill you both and I will get out of this doomed planet.

Blackarachnia allowed Arachnitron to go first, following Tarantulas' little drone. She held her weapon to the ready and when she peeked out, she joined Arachnitron beside her and aimed at the first Maximal she saw. From who she could tell, it was the former Predacon, Frilla. The former Predacon probably knew now something was wrong.

She fired her cybervenom at her and depended on Arachnitron to take care of the other Maximal looking over Frilla's shoulder.

((OOC: I was quite unsure about what I wrote of Blackarachnia so I wanted to ask: Is Frilla still in the bridge and alone? I looked at the last post for her and it says she is. I just wanted to make sure that is correct. Also, I was just wanted to remember if the drones are to be used for the Maximals not on the bridge?

If there is anything incorrect in this post, I will gladly correct it. :D ))

((Sorry been a little late with a reply for some things but with the whole just one Maximal I sort of improvised since I wasn't sure what the other maximals were planning to do at the time. As for who's in the bridge Una,it's Frilla and Silverstreak and from what I read Silverstreak is looking over her shoulder at the monitor.

Plus I'll also post a bit later just came to check real quick.))

"That Silverstreak, is probably the end of us and all life on this planet if we don't figure something out."Frilla replied to silver fox, working to try and think of something that could possibly stop this menacing looking structure in the sky now barely visible in the darkness now. But she hardly knew much enough about the Vok to really consider a counter strike if it was necessary, unless they could wind up scanning the structure and finding a weak point. But how do you destroy something in the atmosphere and unable to reach it?

Her thoughts suddenly were interrupted as she felt something embed itself into her back and followed by the stinging sensation of something else that made the frilled lizard yell out and suddenly collapse from her chair as the energy ran through her systems, enough she could catch sight of the intruding spiders."Sp...spiders..."Frilla gritted out as the cybervenom seemed much stronger then normal, likely more of a dose then they usual would use and that would take slightly longer to knock them out but this time Frilla succumbed to the cybervenom quickly and temporarily offline.

----------------------

Flapping her wings Feralnight was finally approaching the coordinates to which Frilla had given her, supposedly where Arachnitron was injured and waiting for assistance. But the fuzor was beginning to wonder if she should have asked for back up first, unsure if the Predacons would be lying in wait to ambush the Maximals when they arrived but if that was the case she was on her own. Shaking off the negative thoughts Feralnight lowered her altitude enough to where she could explore the landscape for a little bit, hoping to have some chance in spotting the widow but at the moment she couldn't see much of anything among the patches of foliage and began to wonder if Arachnitron had had enough strength to pull herself into hiding.

Shrugging her shoulders the fuzor finally landed, folding in her wings as she began to sniff around to try and track any scents. But if there really had been an attack there wasn't much of anything to go on, unless the Predacons had made sure they couldn't be tracked. "Arachnitron are you here? It's me Feralnight, we got your distress signal and came to help."She called out while searching the area, unaware that it was a set up.

Glad to see her words had helped Ironclaw cheer up slightly Wintersong smiled back at the badger before following him as he tugged her arm slightly to follow to which she did, wondering now what was causing Optimus to sound so urgent and for the alarms having gone off earlier. Yet when they were getting closer to the bridge she heard the sounds of yells and stopped in her tracks, putting her hand out as a sign of Ironclaw to stop as well, not liking the sound of things. Had something already gone wrong while her, Starshadow, and Ironclaw had been gone? It sure sounded like something was happening but the question now what.

Quietly stepping forward the white tigress peered around the doorway seeing their fellow teammates on the floor from what seemed like cybervenom. But the only ones they knew who could use it were the spiders, unless they were here. Stepping more around the corner Wintersong glanced up when she noticed movement from the roof hatch and was shocked to find not only Blackarachnia but also Arachnitron."Arachnitron?"She asked, finding herself unable to retaliate from the surprise and from her own guilt a few days before.

At last they had arrived to the volcanic lava pits in which the Darksyde rested, but Megatron hadn't stopped since their leave from the alien site. The purple t-rex was determined to get to the bottom of the structure now residing in the atmosphere and to confirm his suspicions that this was the impeding doom he had been anticipating, if this was indeed the weapon he wanted to use it in some way to turn the tides of the war while not being destroyed in the process. Of course there was always the transwarp cell Tarantulas has stole from him, maybe use it somehow. For now he'd only have to weigh his options on the matter at hand and see how things progressed from here on out. Though Megatron had a feeling things were about to get interesting and there wasn't much time for him to come up with some other plan with his other one now pretty much down the drain.

Slowing down once inside the hanger the purple tyrant now only lengthened his strides, heading to what remained of the main bridge of their ship and transforming mid-step when approaching the doorway. Although the sight to greet him did bring some good news: a new Predacon had seemed to join their ranks and Steelclaw was back without damage. "Well, well who might you be?"Megatron questioned while stepping onto a hover board, maneuvering it over to his chair and stepping off it to sit down as he usually did while facing the two mechs in front of him and awaiting a reply.

In the meantime Onyx had decided to stop just inside the hanger, preferring to be away from the rest of the Predacons rather then join them. His thoughts were like a whirlwind right now as he was trying to decide what to do, mostly if he was even in the right place anymore. A short couple of days was all one needed to know a team sometimes, and so far Onyx had seen more then his fair share of how this crew worked and it certainly wasn't anything he wanted to be part of, forced to be in a war that seemed to have been started from one side and the other having no choice. It was one reason he had left the Predacons' military forces since he hadn't wanted to continue to participate in something that was 'required' for his function. Sure the stallion still enjoyed a good fight and had done his fair share in the illegal fighting circuits, and of course been in some protests against being considered low level citizens, that was true.

However, this was just something he seemed to wind up in once more without thinking it would become a full scale war. It was small scale here on this planet, but if Megatron did succeed it would no longer just be the two crashed crews fighting, it would be Cybertron all over again just as in past wars. Maybe in the end Onyx just had made the wrong judgement after all, but the real question was would he be too late to leave now and change that decision?

=======================

Their impeding doom? Well that wasn't exactly the thing she wanted to hear and Silverstreak's ears went back in dismay since she had expected things to be exciting when she started out yet they were proving to be worse and worse with each passing kilk. What more could go wrong next to this alien contraption? Of course her question was soon answered when something struck Frilla right in the back, quickly incapacitating her and the fox left a little dumbfounded and confused to what was going on,"Frilla are you...ugh!"She was the next target, feeling Arachnitron's shot hit home right in the middle of her back and seeing the energy spreading over her frame, systems warning her of the problem but unable to stop it.

"What...is...this..."Silverstreak managed to say while collapsing to the floor, just moments before Wintersong and Ironclaw showed up to the bridge but whether or not someone would answer the silver fox would never know as she too went temporarily offline, systems unable to stop the affects of the cybervenom.

Also I'm leaving for Canada tomorrow evening for a week. It's a 6 hour car trip to get where we're going so we're travelling overnight for kids' sake. I'll bring the laptop in case we find wireless internet somewhere, but chances are I'll be without internet for the duration of the trip.)
Tigatron wrote:"You should take Icebreaker's positive spirit and thrive on it. Pick up where he left off, Aurora. Remember him through your actions and decisions,"
Although she had not responded verbally to Tigatron's advice, Aurora did look rather thoughtful as the male gave it. The advice sounded noble enough, she supposed, even though it might be a little difficult to uphold such an encouragement. Part of her wanted to make Icebreaker proud of her future achievements, especially if she could manage to follow in his footsteps, yet another part wanted little more than revenge on the individual responsible for the penguin's death. Whoever he was, he had taken so much from the Maximals.. and her. She couldn't nor would she want to let him just get away. There had to be a way to find out the truth of what had gone down that day.
Tigatron wrote:"The definitions of good and evil depend on one's perspective," "While labeling someone's actions to being evil from your point of view, they might be viewed as good to another. You can never control it. However, I feel great pity for those who don't feel remorse or take responsibility for their life-changing actions. Some learn and change. Others just don't care. And it's difficult to understand."
Like the one who killed Icebreaker had shown no remorse.. He certainly had not attempted to avoid a lethal shot, O had the courage to make himself known after the fact.

Aurora was angry. And even more so she was hurting. A broken heart could be quite difficult to mend, just like forgiveness for the most terrible deeds could be nearly impossible to give. She did not care for whatever point of view the one who killed her best friend and mentor had. All she knew is that a few days ago her life had been going great and now it was in ruins.

Yet as bad as her heartache was, she made an honorable effort of concealing it. Tigatron was sweet, gentle, and most of all noble. All traits she also saw in Primal himself. So she had no doubt the white tiger would attempt to discourage her if she revealed just how torn up she was from all of this. The last thing she needed right now was yet another Maximal constantly watching her every move to make sure she was safe. As much as she cared for the Maximals, they all tended to shelter her. It was quite discouraging sometimes to have every single exciting situation thwarted because of some notion of danger.

After mentally reminding herself of this, she managed to maintain a calm appearance. The others did not need to know how deep the wounds truly went, or how much she was struggling to try to keep up a cheerful front.

"It is hard to understand how killing someone could possibly be considered good to either side," she mumbled before giving him a slight, but grateful smile.

Moments later she was gliding on a gust of wind above the waterfall. She glanced back to make sure Tigatron was coming as well, before the now apparently missing moon caught her attention. Whatever this meant, it certainly did not seem like a good omen. Especially not since it coincided with Optimus Primal's urgent order to have everyone return to base. Something was very wrong.

Some distance away, Nemesis had returned to her perch in the single tree not far from the Predacon base. She had arrived a bit before the others, having taken the faster and more direct aerial route to get there, and was now admiring the handiwork of the aliens. The second moon almost appeared to be gone now, although if she concentrated enough she could see the dark shape against the slightly lighter background that was covered in stars.

Intriguing..

It would appear that these aliens were not making a mere idle threat and that they intended on using a weapon concealed within the now dark moon to do away with them all. And the revelation of the fake moon had made the missing pieces of the puzzle fall into place, making Nemesis fairly certain that this planet was indeed the same Earth as she'd heard stories of the ancient transformers crashing on. Which had to mean that history was about to be rewritten.

As she was pondering this, the other Predacons returned to base as well. Megatron appeared quite determined as he rushed inside. Something told her she'd need to keep an eye on the leader's next few moves, since the results would likely affect them all to no end. Hopefully once this immediate threat had been dealt with, she could start exploring the possibility of certain other outcomes being in range.

Nemesis followed the others inside, finding Megatron talking to another squid whereas Onyx kept to himself.
