Ironclaw followed Optimus until they ran into Cheetor, although Ironclaw did have a problem with Optimus he thought that he would not treat the others differently. He nodded at Cheetos then looked in the direction of the Maximal base. Soon he would have to speak with all the maximals. He did not quite understand all of the information so he hoped that the others could enlighten him?
He turned is attention to Wintersong who was behind them. He went over to her and smiled a little. "What you did was quite brave, I'll remember to return the favor" he said to her.

Feralnight had taken one more circle around the area, taking a little bit before she finally came to her comrades from the skies, almost invisible from the darkness unless they made out the moving shape. Of course at the speed she was going the fuzor wasn't hard to miss. With a quick dive she finally joined Optimus and the others before she landed and folded her wings against her back looking at them, though for whatever reason some of them seemed quiet serious, preferably Optimus, but why was a mystery to Feralnight since she had tried to take a chance to follow Snow Trix to see what the fox had been up to but she wasn't willing to disobey an order of retreat at a time like this. For now she could only wait patiently and followed them on foot, having started to feel a slight soreness in her wings from flying so much and needed a break from it.

Wintersong was glad they just kept moving, not wanting to deal with anything else right now that included the Predacons, quite frankly she was quite sick of them with all that had occurred today. Especially some things being worse then others that made the tigress both sad and angry, though she pushed the emotions aside to save for another time and would find a way to relieve them productively instead of taking it out on her teammates later, of course throwing herself at Megatron was a little bit of help for that though not nearly enough. It had been a reckless act on her part but one she had been willing to risk this time just to ensure her teammates had not ended up damaged or more being killed. It was the last thing they needed and the one thing Wintersong didn't want to see was the image of her teammates and friends being killed in some other horrific way that could have been burned into her processor.
Seeing Icebreaker shot in the head and the massive damage already was, and it would be for the rest of her life knowing that such loses were indeed possible. But the tigress' thoughts were interrupted when she heard Ironclaw compliment her on her bravery and she looked at the badger with a small smile,"Thanks Ironclaw but it was just the only thing I could think of to do without Megatron attempting to have attacked you , Aurora, or Optimus when you were vulnerable. It was meant to be a distraction, even if it turned out to be a serious risk." She said with a shrug,"But you don't have to return the favor, it's just what teammates do." Least that is what Wintersong had started to understand more since being with the Axalon crew. If anything going it alone was just foolish and likely to get you killed faster compared to friends and teammates who could help you.

Having landed safely on the ground after witnessing their comrade barely avoid serious injury or even potential death at the cliff side, and then seeing Ironclaw rush in to aid the tigress against Megatron, Aurora merely stared as the unknown and rather peculiar looking female Maximal darted off as suddenly as she had appeared.
Before she had a chance to turn her confused gaze back to Optimus, the Maximal commander had already ordered a retreat for his troops. After all of this, Aurora could not agree more with the 'monkeybot' as Rattrap often called him. The area surrounding the Predacon base was mostly a barren wasteland, with several dangerous lava pits that could make their lives quite uncomfortable if they got too close. In addition this truce between the two factions appeared to be holding on by a thin thread at this point.
As much as the young Maximal enjoyed the outdoors, it did appear that returning home or at least away from this place was the best option for them right now.
She folded her wings close to her back as she trotted off towards the Axalon in beast mode. Every few steps she'd take a quick glance behind her to make sure the others were also coming and were not in trouble of any sort.

"Come now, no need for such violence, on this planet true allies are hard to come by, its unwise to shirk assistance offered. Afterall, its not as though that She Devil scurrying about my lair right now like a scavenger looking for roadkill is going to keep you around forever my dear. She dreams of leadership but her people skills are limited only to how best to use people before tossing them aside like yesterday's energon. She's done it before to everyone she's worked with, she'll do it to you as well...
Ha! How dumb did this mech think she was?! Arachnitron rolled her optics. "You can't actually think I have no plans of my own! She can scheme all she wants, but she's not taking anyone for a fool! Nor are you might I add." she countered.
She snarled at the other spider showing her fangs. "I'm not ill! I'm sick and tired of your prying questions! Do your job!" she shouted enraged at the fact the other spider was beginning to see her discomfort. Is something the matter? You appear...Ill.
As a matter of fact, Arachnitron was very ill. The pain in her head was growing worse and it took all of her will power not to cry out. The same searing pain she often caused the Hybrid and Maximal was now ripping through the body with her control! The pain was unbearable, but she didn't want to let the other bot see. If she continued to fight against the switch, however, her power would begin to drain. She could find herself in stasis lock. Who knew what this twisted bot in front of her would do once she was offline! She couldn't let that happen.
"Fine, Hybrid! You win! Since you are clearly incapable of keeping things together in there, we'll switch. But let me make myself clear. I am still in control. You consult me before you make any decisions! I will advise your actions from in here while I keep back the Maximal programming. Do you understand?
"Yes, of course!"
"Remember. You are me! Don't be you! Be me! And wait for my signal to....."
"AHHHHH!!!!" Arachnitron screamed out in pain and clutched her stomach. There was little else they could do. The Maximal was determined to do what it wanted and the Hybrid didn't have the guts to hold her back. The body was weakening. The Predacon had wanted to wait until Tarantulas was turned away from her before switching just in case there were any outward signs of it happening, but they couldn't wait! She screamed again as the pain ripped through her body. Her optics flickered red and green, red and green.
Arachnitron fell to her knees breathless, but she still held tight to the leash. When she finally pulled herself up from the ground, Arachnitron's optics were bright green.
(OOC: Hmmmm....is it the Maximal or the Hybrid??? Guess we will all have to wait until next time to find out!!
Incidentally, sorry for the wait....I was waiting for the Ironclaw rescuers so that we didn't get too far ahead of them...since everyone still has that mushroom thing to find yet.)

Using her elbows and her weapon, she knocked them off with the swarm crawling towards her and they overwhelmed her, leaving her frantically pushing them off her. Tasers were burning hot against her body, but her survival program kept her going. Transforming in to her beast mode, she bursted away before the heat torched her systems and shot her sticky webs at them in vengeance, starting back on her dash towards the Darksyde's ventrailation systems.
((OOC: I hope this post is okay, Darkspark and it looks like there is going to be a line at Optimus' room. XDDD ))
The many arachnoids entangled in BA's webbing struggled in vain to free themselves, their tasers sparking furiously, some managing to burn some of the webbing. However, the rest of the swarm either abandoned their trapped siblings or became stuck themselves trying to go over them. The ones smart enough to go around continued the chase after Blackarachnia, slowed by the delay she'd caused them but still determined to fulfill their programming.
Elsewhere, far ahead of BA and the stragglers, the arachnoids who'd gone off to the sides earlier had beat her to the nearest air duct leading to the Darksyde, and were busy constructing a complicated looking web to keep her from escaping their master's lair. While some worked on the web, the others charged their tasers in preparation for BA's arrival should their comrades fail to capture her themselves.
OOC: post seems fine to me Una, let me know if mine's alright, especially the part about the web. If its too much, I can edit my post.

Before Tarantulas could say anything more to the distrustful and ill tempered Arachnitron, the moment he'd been waiting for finally occurred...She completely lost it.
"Heh heh heh...FINALLY, its about time she snapped" Tarantulas chuckled under his breath, hiding his mirth over her suffering behind one of his massive pincers.
Seeing her in pain, falling to her knees as her eyes flashed red and green made all the humiliation he'd endured at her and BA's hands almost worth it. He controlled his urge to laugh out loud at her misery and instead picked up a piece of reflective scrap metal to use as a mirror as he approached her, offering her a helping "hand" while showing the weakened fembot her reflection with the metal, including her now bright green eyes.
"As I inquired earlier my dear, are you ill? I think its time you leveled with me, if we are to assist eachother before this planet is leveled into space debris" he explained in the same calm tone of voice he'd been using to gain her trust rather than alarm her or give away his true malevolent intent.
He didn't know which personality he now faced, but even Scorponok or Waspinator would have enough intelligence to see that the jig was up, and if she did try to pull something, he was ready to defend himself.
OOC: No worries Blackrose, I didn't notice any wait (I myself apologize for taking too long to reply with a post of myself XD). I look forward to seeing how things go next time

(( OOC: Well, I don't normally like to have Optimus leave anyone behind, but I think waiting for a week (since my last post) for WorpeX to post with Airazor is long enough now. Sorry, WorpeX. Watching his Maximals regroup around him, Optimus was relieved to see all of them unharmed, or at least some of them just minorly damaged. Nothing their beast modes couldn't handle on the way back to Base. Aurora had settled herself on the ground, as well as Feralnight. Then Cheetor and Rattrap had caught up with them. Just as those two had arrived, Primal moved up to the front of the group beside Aurora and slowed down to a walk on all fours to set the pace and let all of them relax on the way back. Clearly the Predacons weren't following them; they didn't necessarily have a reason to since Ironclaw hadn't actually physically stolen anything. Well, not that he was aware of anyway. Nonetheless, the gorilla kept his sensors running on full and diligently screened their dark surroundings with his eyes.
Rattrap had hurried along with Cheetor to catch up to the others. When the group slowed down, he was thankful for the new pace so he could catch his breath as he waddled along beside Feralnight while the cheetah pulled up along side Optimus in the front of the pack. "Hey, Feral, how ya feelin'? Everythin' okay with you? You seemed a little quiet today, you know, ever since you came back from visiting those hot-head Preds." Of course Rattrap had noticed. Anyone's behavior that changed after something like that made him concerned... and skeptical.
As the group of Maximals approached their territory with the Axalon in sight, the gorilla picked up a faint foul odor in the air. What is that? he pondered, raising a brow in question. His eyes widened when he saw the rhinoceros laying on the ground, not far from their base. "Rhinox!" he called out and galloped over to the larger Maximal. "Rhinox, are you all right? What happened?" Externally, he didn't look injured. Had Starshadow done something to him? She was no where in sight after he quickly glanced around the area.
(( OOC: Good luck getting Rattrap's attention off of Feral now, New Moon. He's going to be too curious to let this go. ))

Primal looked over at the young cheetah when his voice broke the silence around them but he continued walking. His expression mellowed a little after he gave some thought about it. "All we showed him was a classic infiltration maneuver. He still has the advantage over us with that alien artifact." And although the Maximal leader was eager to learn what Ironclaw had uncovered with that - as the unknown weighed heavily on Primal's mind - he thought it best to leave it for discussion once they got back to the Axalon so that everyone could get the same information all at once. "But overall, everyone did well upholding the cease-fire," and for that, he was grateful and proud of his crew. In the back of his mind, however, he had also been worrying about Arachnitron. He hadn't seen her at all ever since she was "captured" by the Preds with the Leviathan, or any of the spiders for that matter, and it concerned him as to what they might be up to. Tarantulas, especially, always seemed to be working on his own agendas. He wondered how much that bothered Megatron, if at all. He just hoped that Arachnitron was taking care of herself."I guess we showed Megatron, didn't we, Big 'Bot?" "Big 'Bot?"

Ironclaw transformed in beast mode and followed the rest of the Maximals towards the Axalon. He'd noticed that Aurora had taken up a position infront of them. He was glad to see she was okay, well she looked like it from his view. He would have went over to her but he decided against it. There wasn't much time, onece they reached the base everyone will want to hear what he had discovered. Although she seemed fine, he still kept an eye on Wintersong. he admired her brave act even if she thought it was just about team work.

Whitegrazer had come to the Axalon base, noticing that Optimus and the group were back. She smiled warmly and hoped the mission was a success, but grew concern about who they were surrounding. Transforming she ran towards the group, concern written all over her face, "What happened?"
Seeing Rhinox on the ground, he seemed to be tired and...sick. What was that smelly odor that filled the air?
"Are you all right, Rhinox? You seem a bit drained."
She wanted to ask the others abut the mission and ask Optimus if they could talk so she could explain, but right now, she wanted to make sure Rhinox was okay and there wasn't any danger around here.

Blackarachnia, who was wearing a face of disgust, saw those pests trying to create an obstacle. She shot a webbing to slow the ones behind her down. Rushing towards the air duct, she stepped back as the ones protecting the web were ready to spark her. In her beast mode, she was alot more smaller and faster. She will have to take care of the ones blocking her passage before she handled the webbing. Growling, she dashed towards them then dodged to avoid any of them from hitting her with the charges, biting one in the process.

Rhinox looked up at his companions. He mischievously grinned at he forced himself back up on his feet. The rhino shook his head and body as if he were ridding himself of unseen dust.
"Don't worry about me," he replied, "I just ate a few more beans than my body could handle. Just needed to take a breather."
His eyes darted off in the direction that the Predacon panther had fled off towards. He chuckled at the memory of what had transpired between the two.
"Remind me to apologize to Starshadow for the... aftermath... of my struggling digestive systems."
Wiggling his ears, Rhinox turned to the shielded Axalon and commanded the shields to deactivate.

Orcariner paused with his work on Icebreaker's coffin. Tigatron's question was initiated a chain of memories in the orca's processor. The first image that came to mind was their first encounter. Icebreaker arrived to the scene of a fight between a Maximal and Predacon. Despite being the smallest one around, the bird made quite the impression on the dinosaurs transformers. Orcariner had arrived just in the nick of time to aid them in forcing Lineos to retreat. It was that event that bonded them as comrades. Further memories of their quest for survival ran flashed by. They both had fought through waves of Vok turrets and defenses along with Xzuk and Nightmist. Despite the group splitting up, the marine duo chose to remain by one another's side. The two of them enjoyed the fact that they were both capable of swimming in water. It was an ability that was no shared by any other Maximal. Luckily, Optimus Primal teamed them up on multiple occasions due to their capabilities. Orcariner's mind redirected him to another memory of which the killer whale succumbed to the effects of energon radiation. Rather than leaving him behind, Icebreaker towed the orca on a path of ice. What seemed like a dire situation turned out to be a rather enjoyable adventure. It was always like this, whether they where chasing stasis pods, fighting the Vok, or simply exploring the new world. Orcariner became further saddened by the fact that he would never again share new experiences such as these with Icebreaker.
"There's too many to choose from," he replied to Tigatron's question.
The giant went back to work, molding the metal plates with his hands and swords. His demeanor remained silent and stiff.

Cheetor thought that maybe he'd misunderstood the look on Optimus' face. It wouldn't make sense for Big Bot to be mad that they didn't do better than what they set out to do. So maybe nothing had been bothering him.Optimus Primal wrote:All we showed him was a classic infiltration maneuver. He still has the advantage over us with that alien artifact. But overall, everyone did well upholding the cease-fire.
He looked back to the group, and called out, "Last one to the base is a..."
Cheetor stopped short when he heard a sound, turned forward and saw Dinobot only a few feet away.
"...busted stasis pod," he finished. "You'd have to run to the Darksyde and back to count, Dinobot."
Dinobot did his best to ignore the comment, but an involuntary growl escaped him. "Situation taken care of, then?"
"Yeah. You missed it."
Dinobot turned around and walked with the group the rest of the way back. When he saw Rhinox getting up and listened to his explanation, he shook his head and proceeded straight back into the base.

When Steelclaw got the fields surrounding the Darksyde, he noticed the other Predacons generally milling around. Considering the message he'd gotten from Megatron, he had to assume there had been Maximals here, but it was hard to say what had happened.
He did notice a few intentionally-created holes in the ground, and he knew they hadn't been there before he left. Could Inferno work that fast? Why would Inferno dig those kinds of holes anyways?
He decided to walk over to Megatron. It was definitely a risk, since he'd apparently missed out on something Megatron would have wanted him at, but there was no point in trying to sneak into his quarters, and anyways, how much of a reason did Megatron have to be mad anyways? They had a truce going, and he wouldn't have been good at... chasing, or blocking, or name-calling, or whatever it was they had done, (and despite how terrible he would have been at unarmed confrontation, he had essentially kept one of best unarmed Maximals away from the field. As per his promise, however, he couldn't bring that up to defend himself...)
"What happened here, sir?" he asked.
I understand... you are, after all, a predacon.

When they arrived back to base the tigress was surprised at the scene, also catching a faint smell in the air which she didn't wish to find out what really had gone on there, though she had to hold back a laugh of what Starshadow faced. But seeing that the rhinoceros was alright she had turned her attention away from them for right now, not paying much attention to Ironclaw keeping an eye on her as she really hadn't paid much attention to it unless the badger spoke again, which he hadn't. Assuming he didn't have more to say she turned away from her fellow Maximals, her gaze fixing back towards the Predacon territory as she seemed bothered by the lack of the spiders being there, especially Arachnitron after she had been kidnapped, or when she willingly left.
In a way it felt like a loss of more then one friend that day to her but Wintersong wasn't going to openly show it. Icebreaker's damaged head and Arachnitron's face from WIntersong's words were likely to remain in her processor for days to come and it was a little painful memory of that day. The white tigress's ears went back flat against her head thinking about it, finally deciding to leave the group until called again to gather herself and her thoughts, taking a few running steps before leaping onto a boulder and sitting down, preferring to watch the stars. Sometimes it was comforting to watch the stars or take a long walk, but with the mission that occurred Wintersong didn't chance of straying far in case Optimus called everyone in so they knew the information.
Perhaps after she would see of finding the time to take a quick run.

((Heh, you got to admire Rattrap's persistence.))
"Good to just have you back on your feet Rhinox."Frilla said to him before looking at the others, surprised none of them were facing any further injury,"Or should I say it's good to see all of you in good shape. For a moment thought there would be someone hurt." She said looking quite relieved, though she glanced around still wondering where the crazy panther had gone off to. Sometimes Starshadow was too persistent for her own good and had a feeling she hadn't left yet,"Though I think we better keep a look out for Star, she hasn't left just yet I think." She told them, though the frilled lizard hadn't seen since she had been more worried for her teammate then her former predacon teammate
Feralnight kept up with the others, remaining quiet the whole way and was surprised to see Rhinox down like he was when the mech was normally hard to take down, but it seemed the wild beans had been enough. None the less she wasn't quite sure what to say until Rattrap spoke to her and the fuzor looked at the rat,"Oh I've just er..."She hadn't expected the question really and hesitated with an answer to where she normally could say something without even stuttering save for a quick few seconds to think. Here however it took her just a few minutes to think of anything,"I guess I've just been surprised is all, just trying to figure out how Glowstick got the best of me." She said, which was partly the truth.
On the other hand there was also much on her mind which she didn't feel ready to share with her fellow Maximals, not to mention with not being really close to any of them. Where even some of the loners hadn't been close before seemed to have close bonds somewhere yet the wolf/raven fuzor hadn't shown much of making close bonds, and she really hadn't noticed till now. It was strange, especially with how she was. But was it becoming that obvious or was Rattrap a lot more observant then he appeared?

((Since I'm waaayyyy behind, I'm gonna skip to the part where my baby's near the Axalon.))
Starshadow was behind a boulder, rolling of the cold dirt to try to get the horrible smell off her body while waiting. At last she heard different voices, Optimus and his little maximals but...who is that new bleached furball with annoyingly cute wings? She had never seen the new fuzor around. The important thing is to get her gun back, no one touches her gun and spread their maximal germs on it.
With a soft growl, she leapt over the the boulder, transforming in mid air and pounced on the badger, "Well well...look what I have found. A badger waiting to be my very first supper of the year. I believe you still carrying what's mine..." she said as her blades were sliding out slowly from her right hand. She turned to look at the ermine and smiled like a devil, "and who's this? A side dish? Or a poor little girl who loves pink and flowers brought into this endless war?", her gaze turned to the Maximal leader, "Shame on you Optimus! Shame on you bringing a kid here without toys to play!" and with that she laughed.

Aurora wanted to disagree with Optimus about his statement right then and there. Even though the Maximals may not physically possess this artifact, Ironclaw had not been given the chance to give a full report on what he may have discovered yet. So a physical copy may not even be needed provided the information had been acquired.Optimus Primal wrote:"All we showed him was a classic infiltration maneuver. He still has the advantage over us with that alien artifact."
She noticed Rhinox as she turned to glance back at Ironclaw and was just about to speak up when an obnoxious smell caught her attention. The smell was so putrid, in fact, that the little ermine buried her nose with her front paws.
"What is that awful scent??"
A breather?!Rhinox wrote:"Don't worry about me, I just ate a few more beans than my body could handle. Just needed to take a breather"
"Pheeeeeewwwww.. If there's anything the rest of us need right now it's to take a breather too.. through a gas mask! Never realized your rear end should be listed as a lethal weapon."
She could barely bring herself to look at the rhino as she addressed him, since the fumes were causing her eyes to water up. Even as a most welcome breeze started to move the remnants of Rhinox' obviously decomposing insides a bit further away, she refused to uncover her snout.
"Yeah well.. if this biological warfare was aimed at the panther," Aurora muttered under her breath, "I'd be surprised if the poor victim is still among the living.."Rhinox wrote:"Remind me to apologize to Starshadow for the... aftermath... of my struggling digestive systems."
The gathered Maximal crew then headed towards the Axalon, which hopefully had not suffered too badly from Rhinox' intestinal grief. Within what felt like several minutes, however, even the foulest of smells tend to dissipate as was the case here too.
Then.. the smell seemed to get a bit stronger again. Aurora quickly noticed the panther, still suffering the ill effects of her ordeal, pounce Ironclaw from her hiding spot. Growling, the ermine fluffed her fur up a bit and went to a defensive position with her iridescent wings flat against her backside.
"Brave words from the skunk who decided to play panther."Starshadow wrote:Well well...look what I have found. A badger waiting to be my very first supper of the year. I believe you still carrying what's mine... and who's this? A side dish? Or a poor little girl who loves pink and flowers brought into this endless war?",
She gestured over at Optimus Primal, Rhinox, and the others who were still close by.
"As I'm sure you've noticed, if the scent hasn't destroyed your vision as well as your sense of smell and apparently common sense, there are quite a few more of us and only one of you. So how about hopping off my friend there and address whatever issue you're having civilly?"
Aurora was tired and still mourning the recent loss of her mentor. The thought of losing another friend now was unbearable to the point where she was not about to simply stand by and let it happen.
