Scary Preds

After making a minor rant about Rampage, I thought of an interesting question.

Imagine you're an average Maximal living on Cybertron. Assume your abilities reflect your current physical and mental capabilities as a human. If you were to be hunted down by a Predacon from the Beast Wars show, which one would you be most afraid of?

As ranted earlier, mine would be Rampage. The guy doesn't die, he's possibly the strongest Predacon in the show (before TM2 Megs), his taunts are scary, and he can go from disturbingly calm to disturbingly psycho in less than a second.

Rampage and Tarantulas!!!

If I were a Maximal, I would not like to meet those two in a dark alley. They will both eat you and are psychotic. They will not stop and can't be reasoned with I mean, when I tell a bunch of reasons why they can't eat me. XDDD They won't care. Tarantulas is just creeepy and it is Rampage's instinct.

*shivers* I bet they will love Halloween.

Hmm.. I'd have to concur with Tarantulas being the creepiest Predacon I can imagine. He's smart, a scientist scheming behind the scenes, not to be trusted, and will gladly eat you! And he's a spider..

Alas Rampage just never struck me as the truly scary Predacon they intended him to be, since he only rarely accomplished anything that struck me as overly frightening. They said he was indestructible, but an energon spike proved that he wasn't. TM2 BlackArachnia, someone a third of his size, mopped the floor with him, and even though the Maximals had frequent stand-offs with Rampage, he never killed anyone or did any severe damage. Sadly it took until Rampage's death scene, where he lets Depth-Charge push the energon into him and laughs as he blew up, for me to gain respect for the guy.

I SO would not be an average Maximal living on Cybertron. I'd be an average PREDACON living on Cybertron and Predacons aren't scared of anything!



In all seriousness, I think even to a Predacon, Rampage would be really scary. Like Alak said...that guy just doesn't die. And he's completely psycho which is scary in and of itself! You never know what psychopaths are going to do....so his mental instabilities alone would scare even a Predacon (which they did because Blackarachnia was SO creeped out when they debuted Rampage).

But I also think Tarantulas would be scary to meet in real life. He wasn't afraid to inflict physical pain on another bot and he could do really bizarre things like when he got inside BA's head and controlled her thoughts.

Come to think of it, Tarantulas would probably win the award for most scary Predacon... once he catches you. Rampage still wins in regards to the actual chase imo.

Heh.. that is part of the fun of Tarantulus.. he'll stalk you silently, take you without you realizing it, then prepare you for dinner.. Though the act provides him no point or value, it's simply a primal desire derived from his Spider programming. So out of all the Predacons, Tarantulus is the most like a horror villain.

I've been thinking about Inferno. Imagine a large, humanoid fire-ant like robot running after you while burning everything in its path. If you hide in a house, he'll just burn it down laughing. If you drive, he'll just fly after you. Then there's Megatron and his beast mode reminds me of the first Jurassic Park chase scene. Now imagine fusion projectiles added into the mix. Heck, even Waspinator will be scary since he has a signature sound with his wings. Predacons are scary in general lol.

Also, I will like the add the way Tarantulas acts when he is talking to his prey....Creepy. Watch The Web.

The way he touches his prey is...*shivers* Let's just say I think he enjoys the act in other ways.

Megatron is a different kind of scary, It's not horrorific, just dangerous and powerful. IF I was a Maximal getting chased by Megatron, I will just have to outsmart him.

No doubt in my mind RAMPAGE! He screams nightmare! But Tarantulas gives off a creepy vibe too!

LOL 2 of my favorites scare me the most.

For me its a close finish between Ramapage, Megatron, and Tarantulas. You don't want to meet either in a dark alley alone. Two of them were hard to kill, Tarantulas accidently died by his own hand, and it took an energon like sword to the chest just to kill Ramage.

Lets not forget MEgatron, he'll kill anyone who crosses him or gets in his way, he killed Tigerhawk and nearly destoryed the future. So when it comes to Megs, mind your place and don't tick him off.

So those are my top three scary Preds.

Transmutate. That thing is one creepy looking scrap pile. Not to mention the fact that its easily influenced and was one of the most powerful 'bots in the show. I can't even imagine what would have happened if Rampage would have secured him as a predicon ally.

Was Transmutate a he...I always thought it was a She.

But mi hermano does bring up a good point. Transmutate was really easily influenced which would make her (or him) a valuable ally....and a dangerous enemy! That is kind of scary.

But lucky for us (and all the Cybertronians), Optimus put her in stasis lock.

I believe Transmutate was indeed designed to be a female, although it was hard to tell any gender characteristics since the character was so messed up.. but agreed Transmutate would have made a dangerous ally to Rampage.
